Lexicomp is my go-to for drug and other info. Unfortunately every time I try to change the defaults to have sections closed on the monographs, the app crashes. Been a problem for a long time

So Wolters Kluwer used to offer 5MCC and other valuable programs under Lexi-Complete at a fair price, and I used to pay in advance for 3 years.
Now Wolters Kluwer doesn’t offer 5MCC anymore- in fact! If you want all those programs

This app is great for pharmacists but I've noticed more bugs recently. I can't update my interactions database which is pretty important!
Andveixne's Review of LexicompReviewed on 8/28/19 1:40 PM
I downloaded the free trial despite the terrible reviews. In the 30 days I wasn’t able to use it not even once. It’s too slow and crashes constantly. Every time I would open it to look something up, I ended up closing it several minutes later and using a different drug resource. On top of all that, I canceled it 1 month to the day and still got charged a second month. I’ll probably dispute it with my credit card company because I’ve tried to reach out to ANYONE with this company and I never get to a human. In fact it currently has a recorded message that they can’t process anything (purchases, etc) over the phone right now. Stay far away from this. It’s not worth it. Not even a little bit. I wish I hadn’t downloaded it, I clearly didn’t need it.

Last year I paid $304.95 for Lexi-Comp Complete. This year they want $799.00 plus tax after removing some databases. Who do they think they are? It is a good app. It is not a great app. It is certainly not worth more than doubling their price for fewer databases. My subscription has now expired and will not be renewed. There are alternatives.

Peelage's Review of LexicompReviewed on 8/28/19 1:40 PM
I’ve been using Lexicomp for the last 15 years going back to their palm os/Windows Mobile software and have had nothing but a great experience. The app just keeps getting better and better and I’m surprised that physicians are complaining about the cost, as this is the holy grail of information. Yes, it will cost lots of money, but most institutions provide a subscription to you. There are some years I paid for this out of pocket, but it’s always been worth it. Keep the app updates coming, even if the development for iOS can be a challenge for Lexicomp.

Could we please get an update for iPhone X? This is the only app that doesn’t use the full iPhone X screen. Updated layout and UI would be great too, but beggars won’t be choosers.
Utvx2000's Review of LexicompReviewed on 6/30/18 9:45 AM
Terrible app. Terrible support. Company does not listen to customers. Everything falls on deaf ears. Do not purchase a subscription. Find a better alternative. Do better Wolters Kluwer. Interface is outdated and buggy.
ShrinkDoc's Review of LexicompReviewed on 5/7/18 10:28 PM
This used to be my go-to app for drug information. As a former pharmacist and now physician I loved the detailed information. However, now customer support is horrible. I went to the web site to order a new subscription and was appalled at the price. After resigning myself to the amount for the select option, I tried to pay but the web site doesn’t work and I couldn’t check out. Bravo Wolters Kluwer. You may have lost a long time customer.

Okay, I received a response that included a number to call. However, I can only call before 5pm, while I am at work, seeing patients, and STILL the web site doesn’t function over a month after I left my review above, with the message that it is down “temporarily for routine maintenance”. Brilliant.

Still no iPhone X update. For the price we pay it should have been ready to go on day one. Also let’s add iCloud backup for my notes then I could actually use the note option. I can afford to use note section with the risk of loosing my information. Please get this app up to date.

I use Lexi every day as a clinical pharmacist. I got a new phone and NO ONE at wolters kluwer nor apple can fix my problem. iTunes is just going to start billing me $30 for no service and no one can see it or fix it. 10 Years of Lexicomp use and now I’m just going to download epocrites or Micromedex. 3 hours on the phone with people apologizing, condescending yet no one fixing. Good luck, everyone. I’m done. Apple and Lexi just don’t work and play well together

I’ve been a loyal customer for 9 years. The amount they want me to pay is ridiculous and the app doesn’t work. I guess I have to take my business elsewhere. I’m not exactly sure what was wrong with the previous app as it worked amazing.
CM-2947's Review of LexicompReviewed on 12/6/17 4:49 PM
For the first time in 10 years, I am not renewing my subscription. Lexi needs to update their business model and actually get some decent app developers to fix their garbage app. I am not paying $300+ for an app that constantly crashes and is slow to load. When I need info, I need it NOW, not in the apps leisurely time, if it feels like working. I always have the newest iPhone, so processing power is not an issue. I don’t want to call and speak to someone to transfer my subscription when I buy a new phone every year, I don’t want to pay again if I am working with my tablet and want to access information. I have no other app that has these restrictions. Micromedex and Epocrates may not be as comprehensive, but they are not $300 and they seem to work more consistently.
Peelage's Review of LexicompReviewed on 12/29/18 12:59 PM
Overall the app is snappy and quick to use and seems to be up to date with the latest phone sizes. Sometimes the information and fonts seem a little off centered. I’ve been using this product as far back as Palm OS 15 years ago. It works very well, but is slow to adapt to new technology. Lots more potential to utilize latest iOS tools.
DRxUGS's Review of LexicompReviewed on 12/18/18 12:50 PM
Wanted to renew my subscription to Lexi-complete couldn’t find it and customer service told me it’s no longer available. The closest option is $799 per year. And 5 minute clinical consult is no longer available. Complained that this was twice the price of my last subscription and half the amount of time and she then told me Lexi complete was still available directly through Apple for $30 per month. I cannot find it and cannot afford $799 for a new subscription. Wolters kluwer must change this

Thebrazier's Review of LexicompReviewed on 12/17/18 1:01 PM
I love lexicomp. They are very comprehensive, the information is trustworthy, and my pharmacist career has been nothing but progressed by lexicomp in general. That being said, if you're about to drop the significant amount of money this software costs, DO NOT. This is based solely on the app. The app crashes and has to be deleted and re-installed very frequently, and this issue has me extremely upset about it. This is a lot of money, and definitely not worth the poor performance. At this point, I cannot wait for this subscription to run out so I can try to find something comparable. Imagine, you need to see if two meds are stable together in a med bag, and your app won't allow you to acces IV compatibility. What do I do? Run the 15 flights of stairs and two buildings over that separate me from my textbook references? No. This is why I pay hundreds of dollars for the lexicomp app as a reference. Extremely dissatisfied.....

They charge you for their service and can't fix the bug that crashes, so you can't check drug-drug interactions. Lexi-comp is a great piece of software, but without the ability to use your subscription on multiple devices (iPad, iPhone, etc), there may be other products that fill this need better. I shouldn't have to buy a subscription for both my iPad and iPhone! App crashes every time I hit the library button.

's Review of LexicompReviewed on 12/17/18 1:01 PM
This app worked flawlessly when I first purchased it. Since the update, it is now a complete and total waste of time. It is the slowest app on my phone and crashes 5 times for every one time that it works. I can leave a patient's room, walk down the hall and find any condition or medication in a text book before this app even opens fully. At the price you charge for an annual subscription this is completely unacceptable. I will not be renewing my subscription and will make a point to share this information with my colleagues and the dean of my program (who required that we purchase your product)

Cybariss's Review of LexicompReviewed on 12/17/18 1:01 PM
Lexicomp is great, but the app crashes every time I try to open it after the most current update. Even before that update it would crash frequently. It has gotten so bad that I am back to using epocrates. The app both on my phone and ipad takes forever to load even when it is working. Update: I haven't been able to open this app for months now on both an iPhone 4S and an ipad mini. It will just show the loading screen and then crash. I no longer use this app, which is unfortunate because it was really good when it worked. Now I use epocrates, which, while not as good, at least boots and functions.

hugehill13's Review of LexicompReviewed on 11/16/18 2:02 PM
The primary pediatric maintenance fluid (D5.45NS+20KCl) isn't even listed in the fluid compatibility. And when I'm trying to get my slew of AM meds together, I don't have time to wait for the timely update that needs to happen weekly to look things up. This app needs the following things to support pediatric RNs: 1. D5.45NS+20KCl (and similar fluids) as a fluid compatibility option. 2. A link to the pediatric drug index from the home screen. (Too many clicks to find it) 3. Under specific drugs, a sub-menu similar to micromedex that allows you to click on each aspect of a drug (i.e. Dosing, interactions, adverse effects, pharmacokinetics, etc.) instead of having to scroll through a wealth of information to find specific things that are more simply broken down in other apps. 4. Auto update!! No one who works in direct patient care has time to wait for all the updates to happen in order to keep our patients safe. Also, most hospitals have poor cell phone service due to thick brick buildings and lead walls near radiology departments, making it impossible at times to even use the app because you can't update it. In sum, I prefer micromedex, but my hospital switched to Lexicomp. I use micromedex anyways, because it's more user friendly and doesn't take forever to update when I need information fast.

Kalmiki's Review of LexicompReviewed on 11/16/18 2:02 PM
Please add a shortcut of Lexi-Drugs (Drugs) to the homepage menu for quick access. It wastes so much time and too many clicks just to get to the page to actually look up drug info. Healthcare professionals often have to look up critical drug information in a split of a second. App developer should understand that.
Jjjj22223's Review of LexicompReviewed on 11/16/18 2:02 PM

seacreecher's Review of LexicompReviewed on 11/16/18 2:02 PM
The is perhaps one of the best drug references out there (content wise) HOWEVER it is extremely expensive and the software design is weak at best. It takes too long to navigate to find the exact information you want to know (endless scrolling though a ton of text). If it was formatted better it would be my go to app. This app needs a lot of work. Automatic updates for one thing. Please make it better it is 2016 and this app's poor design is lagging. If they used some of their money to hire software engineers that actually know what they are doing this app would be a lot more user friendly.

1)I should be able to remove Dental Lexi-Drugs, Nursing Lexi-Drugs, and other non-essential references from the app (if I have purchased Lexi-Complete). 2)I should have the option of the APP opening directly to Lexi-Drugs Drugs index since that’s what I use 95% of the time. Why do I have to open the APP, select Lexi-Drugs, select Drugs, and then search for medication I’m interested in is beyond me.

awesome opossum's Review of LexicompReviewed on 11/16/18 2:02 PM
Willing to tolerate an outdated app because lexi’s information is so much better than micromedex and uptodate is harder to navigate. Biggest complaint: If it needs an update, you can’t look up ANYTHING before you update. I’ve got a nurse on the phone asking me a compatibility question, and it won’t let me look it up until I do a 3mb update. It’s irritating, because I usually use the app when I’m looking for an answer quickly.

Almost 200 per year, but it’s so good for a new practitioner...

I really hope you put more thought into your drug databases than you put into this app. All it does is crash. Every version. All the time. This is not user error. it happens on multiple phones, newest Ios/iphones/ipads - and even after reinstalling the app and reinstalling all the databases.

1st. Go to their website and buy it from there. MUCH cheaper than thru the App Store!! I have not had any problems with crashing and I also have not had problems with updates (I am able to bypass this if I need to access information immediately). Not sure if those are older reviews I was reading, but the app has been working great for me! Indispensable!!

I made an account on your website to get the 30 day trial and when signing into the app it doesn’t ask me to activate the trial.
