Could be so good...but it is not. Clumsy, slow and full of in app purchases. Wish I had my money back.

Still having issues with HRRR exp and RAP models.

This is a fantastic app if you are actually interested in meteorology. It is perfect if you are in the atmospheric science field, or looking to be.

Just charge for the app capabilities up front. Too fragmented, cumbersome and above all annoying to navigate. Screen shots of app is primarily of in app purchased info. Better apps out there that don't rely on candy crush approach to a weather app.

This app is by far the best weather model app on the app store. It includes a ton of info and almost everything I could ask for. But there is one problem... it's awfully glitchy and will very often black out when looping, especially on the gfs. Overall its still the weather app for your average weather geek!

Have to pay for models now? Man.

The send feature does not work and sometimes crashes the app. No response from support on this issue except their auto response. I just submitted a second support ticket to give them another try, we'll see.....

What works...works. What doesn't...doesn't. You guys need to get this right. If your functionality worked with the options you present this would be an awesome app but because it's not ready for prime time other weather apps beat this hands down.

I bought the HRRR package in app. It was not working, saying 'Data Unavailable'. I decided to reinstall the app. After doing so its telling me I now have to re buy the HRRR. Thanks for nothing and taking my money.

I Initially thought that the HRRR was still jacked, post-upgrade. On iPhone 4, IOS6, I had to delete and reinstall the app to regain the functionality.

Unless you like apps that make you pay for everything even after buying a 5 frickin dollar app which does not even have comprehensive coverage on stuff you paid for. Yes i thought it was a good app promised the model data all in one place. Turns out it is an app that while does have model data makes you pay for stuff like access to skewt plots. There they dont even have anymore than 6 stations to view for the entire midatlantic area also def donot buy if casual weather person. If i could return this app i would do it in a heartbeat

The best weather app out their for weather models, even has the EMCWF. You can't touch this kind of information with out shelling out big bucks at payed internet weather sites.

Except for Radarscope, no app in the store gives so many potential ways to see and understand the weather and the models used in forecasting it. The app could use some redesign in how one navigates the various windows, but there really isn't much like this on in the store.

Crashes constantly. Plus the intro screen shows up on open every time. Please fix. Fix that and it's a great app.

Recommend holding off on upgrade until fixes

I love this app for the fact I find everything I need to forecast weather right here. There are bugs though. I can not access the Skew-t graphs at all, nor can I access the HRRR model maps like it claims. They have options but when I click on them nothing happens and they are greyed out. It also crashes. It is very aggravating when I'm watching a model run and all of a sudden it just cuts out. But I'm willing to deal with the crashes for the convenience of having the maps all here. I just wish I had access to all of the maps it advertised.

I have tried and tried, only to finally come to the reality my purchase of Weathergeek Pro has been a mistake. I have gone back to the manual over and over to be tenacious, and it just doesn't fly. One must purchase additional add-ins, and even then all I can get is two maps. The program is obviously a non-intuitive system that requires some sort of super human skill to figure out that I must have missed! Data within indicates "data unavailable", and that is the end of the road. There are numerous "excellent" reviews. I say BS! I consider those fake reviews. Save your money and time.... Move on to other available apps.

Most of the links are not working and the description of the maps is not that descriptive for non- weather geeks. Update the app and I will give it 5 stars!

I've had this app since the beginning and each update makes it faster and faster. It used to be slower and clunky. But not anymore! You can now adjust the speed of the map animation and this, along with the speed increase is the best new feature. While I wish the newer models weren't an extra cost, it's really not much money considering what you get. I'd like to see the addition of more data like satellite and radar and maybe even more text products in the future. But as is, this app is great at what it does and I highly recommend it to those who need to access the weather models on their iPhone or iPad.

Again we have an app where you pay a premium price only to find that full functionality comes at additional cost. Come on Apple!!!! Lets have some rules. No use of the word PRO in the app if additional costs will be required to use features.

I can't find any data for snow accumulation. With snow data this would be 5 stars. GFS, NAM, etc should include snow predictions.

Still disappointed. Most of the models still don't work months after the issues with the servers. I want my money back.

Very nice app! If you're a weather geek then this is a must have app!

This used to be me go to app for mobile weather model information. It was very convenient to access model info on the go. I also used the app extensively for analysis. Unfortunately since I updated to iOS 7, the app has been unstable and a pain to use. It crashes every time I try to loop or flip through model info. I hope a solution can be found, and I would love to use this app again. At the moment, my go to mobile model app is produced by unisys. It's not as awesome as weathergeek pro is when it is functional, but the unisys app gets the job done if you need a more stable mobile weather app.

This app brings together what I previously had to use 3 or 4 apps to access into a stunning and user-friendly interface. Now I can access all the data I need, wherever in the world I am, from one place.

i wrote a HORRIBLE review of this app yesterday, after i had downloaded and used it...i am writing ANOTHER review today...and i APOLOGIZE to the developers of this app...my criticisms of the app were PREMATURE and INACCURATE...i did not realize how to actually utilize the app until i tried using it again today...upon using the app for the 2ND time, i was able to realize and utilize the WEALTH of weather data available...i did NOT realize the the different maps/charts were interactive and that the user COULD get the maps/charts to ANIMATE and illustrate MULTIPLE layers of data analysis...and there is A LOT of data available. so...i was WRONG to write what i did yesterday...i was COMPLETELY OUT of LINE and i am SORRY for it...my review was UNFAIR and was NOT ACCURATE...i had NO right to impugn the INTEGRITY of the app and its developers...and i am SORRY for doing that...this is a GOOD app and it allows for SERIOUS analysis of weather data...my negative review was a product of MY lack of understanding and i made a HUGE MISTAKE by reviewing this app PRIOR to fully UNDERSTANDING how to USE the app...i DID download most of the "in app" purchases and am PLEASED with them...i now have access to ALL of the data analysis this app offers and i am VERY HAPPY with it...just make sure u READ and UNDERSTAND exactly HOW to USE it before passing judgement...i FAILED to do this and i REGRET it...please FORGIVE my IDIACY!

I love the app as it's feature packed, but despise the fact that it crashes so often. I'd purchase more features, but not if it keeps crashing and frustrating me to no end. Please fix! Thank you.

So I have had the app from the get go. It gets even better with each update! You have the ability to share on Facebook pages in addition to your personal profile and all sorts of new models. And the support is still OUTSTANDING. There are still things coming down the pike in future updates but it gets a big endorsement from me!

Can't even open the app now after updating. iPhone 4 with ios 5.1. Please fix!

This model still doesn't work. Even after the latest update. I paid for it. It will not load after update. Fix it! Or give me my money back! If we have to pay for all these add on forecast models, make sure they work. This app is almost not worth the $10 anymore.

Update: While this is an immensely useful weather tool when the NCEP/NOAA servers are functioning. Currently, they are experiencing major difficulties and Weather Geek's functionality is suffering greatly! For now, save your money. A quick resolution to the problem does not appear on the horizon. Thank you to the developers for brining about an incredibly fast resolution to the last update glitch! The current update makes WeatherGeek Pro 2 a must have application for weather enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers alike. A weather app like no other!! Packed with the ability to easily access all the weather data you could possibly want for a price which can't be beat! It truly is an essential weather application!!

It's a great tool, it's missing a readable Euro map. Fantastic tool if all you need is GFS and NAM based models. The high res models are cool, but please update the euro in app purchase to be a legible map and I will update my rating!!

There's no better way to interact with models on your iPad... Great display scheme - good selection of models - good mapping. Annotation features are a plus too. Just a few tweaks (some may not be possible thanks to Apple) would get this 5 stars. But still best in the field...

This is a great weather app if you're interested in looking at what might happen in the future of a weather forecast. It's not hard to understand. Don't let the acronyms scare you. :) Thanks for the update, BTW!

This is a great app but wait until version 2.3 is fixed. I have 20 years of weather forecasting experience and this app provides much of what I need. While some of the data costs a little extra, there are plenty of progs available like four runs a day for both the NAM and GFS. You can then choose levels, products, and times. Plus you can zoom in and out and scroll on each map to focus on a specific area. To have this functionality in your pocket is amazing. It may not provide everything, but it provides a lot. Thanks for a great app! Please fix 2.3 ASAP!

For what it is its a great app the problem I have is the best models are available for in app purchases . These models are available for free on the Internet and after the initial $5 purchase I feel as though they are gouging a bit.

The HRRR data from the in app purchase will not display even when the data IS available from NOAA. The in app purchase for skew -T charts only covers a few stations and will not display. Upper air data is also blank. This app is a great idea but takes your money and does not deliver the data you pay for.

No gps, no support hrrr NEVER works. Do not buy!! Apple, take this down for fraudulent activity. Hrrr never works, paid for enhanced edition and it's failing constantly. Get Seasonality, yep it's expensive, but it works!

Seems to be for the "closer to raw data crowd" kind of like in the original Star Trek when Spock looked into that tiny rectangular screen at the Sciences station, fiddled with the one k*** and then announced just about anything about anything! My tiny brain would like my data presented in an easy to read and interpret form while also being able to drill into it and perhaps see the assumptions, maybe a predicted accuracy due to the distance and quality of data gathering stations, etc.. We live in nowheresville, central Florida where you are lucky to have a paved road let alone a cluster of weather data gathering stations that can help correct for our huge number of lakes, rivers, and man made waterways that s**** around with the humidities, temperatures, and even boundaries of rainfall. Something that could do those things as well as update quickly enough to track the localized weather zones' rapid changes would be greatly welcomed, probably incredibly expensive, and would require unprecedented government cooperation and civil expenditures unrealistic to expect by the parties involved. Oh, well... The app seems to work well for what I believe it is designed to do with the data available but it doesn't meet my needs.

I had some extra money to throw around so I thought I'd try out this app. I have one word that describes it: Disappointment. I am left in complete disbelief as to how much this app really costs. Don't let the low download cost fool you...because as others have said, more than half of the app's features are paywalled. This would be okay on one or two models. This app probably has more than seven. Absolutely not acceptable. Just to try it out, though, I decided to spend the ~$13 it takes to fully unlock the app after downloading. Disappointment. As I saw another user state, the HRRR model doesn't even WORK! The other models do work, but the app does not deliver anything you can't get off of a FREE and PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE website. The app literally just "makes it easier" to get In the simplest terms, this app is essentially a ripoff. A huge disappointment. Don't buy it unless the developer has a huge change in heart.

I am told the loading problem is with iOS 5 and they are currently working on a fix. They say it works fine with iOS 6. Other than that this is a fine app and the support service is excellent. Don't believe the low ratings.

This App is an abomination. I am a professional pilot and purchased this app to review various weather models. Every time I touch anything I get a " confirm in-app purchase" pop up. Renders App unusable. STAY AWAY!

This app is great if you are either a professional meteorologist or a h******* weather watcher wanting to learn more about the models and methods used for forecasting. If you forecast for a living, this app is a timesaver for preparing your forecasts. View model data anywhere and anytime. The interface is beautiful. They have had some occasional trouble with their interfaces to some NOAA data but they've always fixed it quickly and provide great support. I've been happy with this purchase. For less than $10 (with all options bought) I have pretty much everything I need to forecast on my iPhone and iPad. Highly recommended!

After I updated this program all the models keep saying currently unavailable. Is something being done to fix this issue. Or am I the only one experiencing it. I tried reinstalling and still the same just now I lost the ECMWF & HRRR models (which I paid for) what is going on????

Website down. No updates in over a year. Use your own best judgement.
