I don’t like the new way the weather is shown. I’m thinking of deleting this app

I have removed the app because of its promotion of gambling apps.

Love the new update except that it no longer shows the us index which is a disappointment

There was nothing wrong with the old design and this one isn’t user friendly at all!

Absolutely despise new radar map. The old one was much more informative, much easier and allowed me to customize specific areas I wanted to see in great detail. Also, it does not give humidity or dew points any more. New map cuts out way too many city names! Actually...I like the old format waaay better than this new one. I’m only sorry I did the update. Would NOT have given any stars except for the fact they don’t offer that option.

I know the apps need to be updated and made better for all of us. But this update is just not for me. I really liked the other Weather Channel App and would tell others how great it is and they should download it. But now I’ve got friends telling me, No Thank You that I need to change.. The app overhaul removed barometric pressure, which as a chronic migraineur, I utilize regularly to help manage my condition. Bring that back please!

For version 10: whoever redesigned the app should get a raise. The new interface is slick, informative, and most importantly works fast and fluid. Information is reorganized for better relevance with the most important stuff up front. The tiles allow you to choose which info to dive into so you don’t waste time scrolling through things you don’t want to see. Overall outstanding improvement.

I find the new update makes it hard to read and difficult to navigate. Enough so that I have stopped using it.

I used to love the old app. I could see predictions for two weeks easily. Hourly forecasts were easily accessed and easy to read. I dislike your new app. I don’t like the bar graph and the things I liked about your app are gone. I’m looking for a new app so I can delete the mess you made of a very good app.

Really dislike the new app format. The horizontal graphs make seeing hourly and daily data difficult to read. I don’t want to take that much time to distinguish day to day. This isn’t a matter of “I don’t like change.” This is a matter of this change NOT being an improvement.

I have a paid subscription. 30 to 45 seconds to load is unacceptable. This was my favorite weather app, I have it on every lOS device I own. Started using an alternative inferior app that has an instant load. Having to use AccuWeather for now!!

They updated the app a week ago and it’s terrible. You can’t easily get a snapshot of the week ahead. The layout makes it’s hard to see the high and low temperatures for each day ahead. I’m deleting the app.

I’m so sorry I updated the Weather Chanel. It was easy to read at a glance before. Now It’s visually distracting, less info at a glance and hard to navigate. You don’t see your day easily (I don’t like the graph), don’t have upcoming days unless you scroll through each one. Change for the sake of change is not good. It didn’t need an update. Please change it back.

What happened? It was so easy to look at a glance finding current weather and forecast. Why change a good thing. Now I’m looking to find a better app then yours. DISAPPOINTED 👎

The app does not always load or update when accessing. Format is easy to navigate when it works. Enjoy not having ads when it works.

People don’t go to The Weather Channel app for a modern digital experience..they go to look at THE WEATHER. Totally ruined the app. Oh & please bring back the UV index. What have you done to one of my favorite apps ?? After the huge change you did to it, its been a headache just to make it work. It takes FOREVER for it to open. I want to know what kind of weather were getting right away and not have to wait and wait. Also, It looks like we can’t have enough slots for favorite cities . Please take another look at the app you “made better” and fix this issues or else I will have to look for another one. I used to love The Weather Channel app, now I’m a bit frustrated.

The new update is terrible! Each day I check the high/low and humidity of the day and the hi/lo for upcoming days. It is very hard to figure this out now. The graph complicates it. I don’t know what day is what. While the older version took forever to load, I could at least figure out the weather. Why make it more complicated!? Keep it simple!

Use to have UV index. This is crucial health information that they now exclude or make difficult to find. We need this back!!!!!!!!!

New version sticks. Wish I still had the old. My phone automatically did the update and I’m disappointed now.

I love the weather channel and had their app since the beginning of my iphone days, I deleted the weather app that came with phone and went right to the weather channel app..... It was great in beginning but the the app would freeze up all the time and would shut itself off. I see the app has finally been updated but I hate the layout. Could be much more organized. I unfortunately deleted the app and downloaded another weather app. Very bummed weather channel.

I do not like the new version is an understatement. It’s written so light I absolutely cannot see what it says. It cannot be zoomed in so that It can seen better. It automatically updated itself. Which I don’t like either. There is no way to get in touch with the developers to tell them they should leave well enough alone or make the writing thicker. If this isn’t fixed I’m going to find a different app. I am not going to keep an app that I can’t see. I can’t imagine how people with real eye problems can use this app any longer. My favorite weather app went to the worst with the new download.

This app should be simple to open and view weather in my current location along with the locations I have saved. Too many ads and most importantly we have to work tapping and scrolling to figure out the weather. Time to switch to weather underground or use the stock app. It used to work perfectly for me and I loved it. Why can’t they keep things the same when they work well. No need to reinvent the wheel unless it is a problem

The new updated version is the absolute worst. Hard to read displays. Hate it! Crazy part is it previously was perfect.

Went into my weather channel app to check the weather; I had a screen pop up. It was pornography!! Filth! I’m very upset! Not family friendly! Every time I used the app it would cut me off and re-direct me to gaming ads and now this! Check your security. This has never happened on any of my other apps.

I hate having to be critical of this app, but the new update makes it so hard to find what the forecast is and what it will be in a week. I don’t like having to scroll through a bunch of info for my 15-day forecast when I just want to see at a glance what the highs/lows are and what the predominant weather condition will be. I like the minimalistic design, but that was put in place at the sacrifice of the actual information.

“Updating” and app just to update it is dumb. It is much more difficult now to see my forecast. Please quit changing things just to change them. If you want to make a change just change the color.

What is that new layout with all the graphs and bs! I deleted the iPad version for that reason and now I will delete this one. All I need is a clear dailey and hourly forecast and may be 7 day forecast. Stop focusing on all the graphs they are disturbing!

App hangs. I assume my phone can’t handle the auto play videos and advertisements. Tried clicking hourly and daily buttons and nothing happens. I deleted this app and went to another weather app that actually shows the weather and not ads

This was once a really cool and reliable app. Why did you ruin it with this complete and unreliable/unsound makeover? It is a complete disaster to use now. Wont load up. Crashes when it does decide to load. I am using an iphone 6s with over 115 gb of available space. My wifi connection is stellar. There is no reason for this app to behave like this. I have deleted and reinstalled it a number if times, shut my phone down, got rid of the ads and am still plagued by issues with this app. This isnt what I paid for.

I have found the app less useful with the latest upgrades. Wish they still gave a forecast of relative humidity a few days out....that makes a big difference in areas where it changes often.....seeing the current humidity is not very helpful (I can see that for myself without an app). The new look & feel is just OK.....I do like that all the videos are not up front and in the way, but otherwise not much has really been added that I can see or use.

I am always getting inaccurate alert that it will rain in some time and it never rains and it’s not even cloudy on that time alerted

Just wanted to let you know, I am finding the radar use unreliable. It is difficult to come up and show the activity (works sometimes, have to keep refreshing)and the future and past options don’t show any activity at our location, while there is ongoing activity. Seems to be a missing spot in radar (only future and past). I am finding it unreliable to an extent I will start looking for others to use. Hope you can fix it soon. I loved your AP prior to the recent changes.

I don’t know what was wrong with prior app that it needed to be changed so much. I found the older version much easier to read. I really preferred the blue background with white lettering. Oh well, will start looking for another weather app as WC wasn’t any more accurate than the others.

The app change is horrible! Not easy to see with no variation or distinct change of days! Whoever changed it must live in a bland house with no pictures on the Wall! Too many adds that you can hit accidentally and sick of the push of global warming !!! Just want the weather !!

Why so complicated? This app has become “clickbait” to generate income TWC. It use to be simple and easy to use. Not anymore. People use this app for local weather, not local gossip. Used to be a great app.

Everything you could want within a couple swipes, looks great.

Latest update is even worse than before. Impossible to get a quick look at the weeks weather. Who wanted these dump temperature graphs with up and down swings? On to a different app that shows me the forecast with no fluff.

It’s more difficult to navigate and to see with all the white. Bring the old version back.

I was about to purchase the yearly subscription... but when I went to set my Alerts it won’t let me...It says Tap Location...it won’t let me set a location.... and so NO ALERTS. Come on now WC ... you can do better than that. I think I’ll stick to Dark Sky.

Put it back the way it was. Since the last update I can’t pick up anything. When I open the app I get the blue screen of death - nothing! Says GPS is looking - forever! Fix it! I have downloaded a different app.

I have had this app for years. I put it on my parents, husband and kids phones because it was easy to use. Now there was an update and none of us know or care to figure out how to use it. Why did it change and become so hard to use? I have deleted and found an easier one to use. That’s crazy because I have heard people at work say the same thing. What did they do to this??? I have not heard one person like it. What a shame.

Hate the new app. It’s ok for seeing what’s happening now and today but can’t find the weekly forecast. I don’t need flashy animations, and 100 screens to scroll through. I need weather information which the app is horrible at providing.

The newest update is horrible. I can’t find anything. Thinking of switching to Apple’s weather app.

Open app and click on current weather at top which brings you to daily detail for the next 2 weeks. The font used for detailed text is too light to read especially at night. I don’t know what they were thinking.

The update is pretty but the old app was easier to use. I liked being able to see the weather by hour in a quick table form. Finding the radar takes scrolling down the page past videos. I believe most people want quick data, not detailed stories. I’ll probably find another weather app that provides what I need without all the extra fuss.

This was my favorite weather app until the latest update. Much too detail with info you don’t need. People go on here to quickly glance either at today’s forecast or the extended forecast. This is not intuitive at all. Seems cumbersome to navigate now. Remember the saying, “Keep It Simple”. Would love a way to go back to the previous version. I might be deleting this if I don’t see any changes soon.

Just wanted you to know that I hate this new version. It’s clumsy and just downright ugly. The last version was overdone with videos, but at least it was pleasing to the eye. This one is just ugh!!

This update is similar to other weather apps I tried Going with a direct one page method of getting weather simply and accurately was great. New app is fumbling around pressing multiple buttons trying to get good information :( Sad...

Since the revised app came out and I had to redo my settings I no longer get weather warnings as before. All settings are on. Warnings are need as we have lots of lightning in Central Florida. Old format was better.

The new update stinks!

Every time this app updates it seems like it regresses in functionality while adding more bells and whistles. Where did the sea temperature and tides go? This was the quickest way to access the tides and now they removed it. I want my weather app to give me information on the weather. Why is it trying to give me points and rewards? This is a weather app, stick with the weather.

Dislike the new update. I’m not someone who usually cares about updates and keeping things fresh, but this update is bad. It used to be easy to find the info I need at a glance. Now you have to dig for info. Bring back the way the daily stuff used to show...get rid of the wavy line.

I have used this app since my first iPhone. This newest update is no longer an option. The black and white print is very difficult for me to read. The whole layout seems more cumbersome. Just downloaded a different weather app.

I don’t like the new layout of the Weather Channel app. I miss the list of days with the temperature & rain percentages right there. Now I have to choose the daily option & scroll. The old design was much easier to find and follow.

My location does not populate on my iPhone for alert but I get them on my iPad. Is there a bug or something I’m missing? Otherwise I love the new redesign of the app.

I loved the weather channel app until this latest “update”. I would often open this app multiple times a day. Everything made sense where it was. Now it is hard to read, hard to understand and not user friendly. Either go back to the original or give people the option to “switch to classic view.” This is terrible

I loved this app and it was my go to everyday to check on the weather. I hate the new and improved app. The layout is confusing and not user friendly. I’ve deleted it and am now searching for a new one. Not even worth getting it for free.

This lat st version is terrible! Why can’t the 15 day forecast be as before? I liked being to tell the daily forecast at a glance and if I wanted it broken down to morning and evening forecast, I could simply click on that day. Please change this back to the previous way.

I've been using the weather app for years and have loved it. The new format is awful! Hard to find what you want to see and when you do find it, it’s hard to read. Too many videos right up front. I just want the weather!!

Before the update I could check everything I needed to quickly and easily. Now, I have searched the app numerous times, googled, and read through tons of reviews to try and figure out how to check the UV levels through the app. Unsuccessfully. Loved this app before the addition of unneeded videos, ads, and updates but now I’d rather stick to the amazing simplicity of the Weather app that comes free on iPhones.

This recent update made the app user-unfriendly. I absolutely hate it. I don’t know how you can call this an improvement at all. And I don’t think this is something I can get use to. The old design was simple and easy to use and navigate, now it is much more difficult. The new layout, charts, and overall design is truly awful and upsetting. This redesign is going to decrease the amount of users using the app. You are going to lose customers to other companies’ apps with better UI. I am very unsatisfied with this app now. I don’t need a graph of temperatures for a whole two weeks. I loved the old 15-forecast and how easy it was to view it week by week. Now it all seems like meaningless weather data. Thanks a lot for ruining the way I look at weather. And the old home screen was much more pleasing to the eye. It had a nice background that corresponded with current weather. Accuweather’s app looks much more appealing now. Also, I do not need a navigation bar; it just clutters the app up and makes it more confusing than it already is. I miss the simple and pleasing aspects of this app. I loved the previous version. Please bring the old version back or at least give me the option to switch back. In all respects, you need to realize The Weather Channel® app does not need to look like a social media app. Thanks for ruining my weather experience. Edit: As I look through which reviews got a developer response, I can tell this app is not going to be brought back to its previous format, although if it were it would solve my problems. It looks as though you are interested in “fixing” the current version (examples are adding the UV index and maybe barometric pressure, as well as the visual appearance of the 15-day outlook). This is just my assumption. You also claim “through extensive testing” this updated home screen gives users more info in less amount of time. But this cannot be true because the graphs make me spend more time trying to decipher the weather for the upcoming hours and days. I don’t know who this “extensive testing” was performed on but they would have to be geniuses to understand what is going on! This WILL NOT become “second nature”, as you respond to users. Simplicity is much needed in this app.

The newest update is awful, please go back to the previous one, if it isn’t broke don’t fix it.

Don’t know what y’all did, but the “new and improved” version featuring Watson is a big #Fail. What used to be a super quick load on my iPhone 6s takes 10-20 seconds or it doesn’t load at all. I pay the extra $ each year to skip the ads, don’t know if that’s the problem. Please fix it!

I'd give it zero stars if that was possible this app has always been a pile of c*** tht radar has never worked right and ever since that last up date that was it for me delete this garbage and move to AccuWeather much better and it gives you plenty of customization options

I dislike the new update. It’s challenging to see at a quick glance the weather forecast for the next few days. I think I’ll be sticking to the basic weather app already installed on my phone. This new update is horrible!

New format changed the way the 10 day looks - terrible design, really unclear & unnecessary graph lines from day to day. Not additive at all. Deleted.

It was my favorite weather app until this last update.. I don’t like the upgrade, it’s too much. The old update was simple and to the point..

Weather app shows high and low temp beside each other rather than one above the other. Very confusing. Now you cannot see a week at a glance, must scroll.

They changed it now it’s so confusing. Can’t find my radar map and if I do find the map it’s not working. Ugh why change it???? So s***** hate this app now! HATE!

This new update is terrible. You can’t just get a quick view of the week and what it looks like. And unfortunately this is the only app that is ever accurate so I’m seriously disappointed with how not user friendly this is.

Version 10 is awful… The user interface so clunky it’s ridiculous. Huge overreach in trying to make more out of this than a simple weather app.

I really enjoyed the previous version of the app. I especially liked the pictures of the weather and cities that showed up when you opened it. Not a fan of the new flowchart design - it’s rather confusing to try to read. The app could be a lot better if it incorporated more of the previous design.

This last update is not easy to use or understand. They should of left alone.

I really like the daily and weekly tabs and new layout. The redesign makes the app even more helpful. Two changes I’d like to see: Bigger, bolder font, especially on the home page (today, hourly & daily tabs), for those of us with older eyes. Notation of whether the barometer is rising or falling. Thanks! Overall, I’m loving the new app.

Where is the UV Index?? I cannot find it anywhere with this new update..

I just opened the app after the latest update and words cannot begin to describe how I dislike the changes.

Used to be a good app. The newest update is horrible. Needs to go back to the old app!

Lost multiple locations we track. App overloaded with unnecessary additions making it slow. New format is cute and only really useful for weather newbies who don't know what they want.

This most recent update has ruined the app. It used to be good and I used it almost hourly, but the new design has got to be the most bone-headed I’ve ever seen — I can’t even figure out how to view the current weather! They’ve also turned this into an ad machine that is distracting and annoying. All said, it’s a shame, as the substantive content used to be pretty good and the UI straightforward. Now both of those are no longer the case. I'm going to delete it.

Please bring back the old version! The new version is not user friendly. Looking around at other weather apps to find my new “go to” weather app.

Not intuitive at all. They destroyed the very nice layout of the previous version. UPDATE: Based on the Developer’s comments I am trying to get used to the new layout. I am finding things and getting used to it. I was happy with it before, but am OK with it now. I tried some other weather apps and did not find anything better - they all seem to try to get too fancy. I like basic and simple.

I try to set my alerts but it doesn’t work. It tells me to select my location but it doesn’t let me. I have tried several times to get help but can’t seem to get any.

The previous version was clear and to the point.. I hate the new update! I will be deleting this app.

Used to be an easy app to use.

The significant weather alerts can't be enabled because you can't select the location. Locations don't appear at all. All the other alerts work except for the significant weather alerts. Also, the temperature unit sometimes changes for the app widget. For example, I have the temperature unit at as Celsius, but the widget sometimes shows the temperature as Fahrenheit. Overall, the app is great despite these bugs.

I would give you zero stars, but that was not an option. I HATE the new design of the weather display! It is hard to read, I hate the lines that go across that look like hills, & is very plain. I wish my phone had not updated to the new version because I want the weather channel app to be like it was before. I will definitely change to a different weather app. HORRIBLE design!! I am so angry you changed this app. It was my go to weather. I enjoyed the videos & getting updates! This awful design is the worst design I have ever seen. Every single person I have mentioned this too says the same thing about your update. HORRIBLE

I do not like the changes to this app. It is now so weirdly organized and not aesthetically appealing.

The last version has the current weather, and radar right there on the screen at the same time.. Now you have to take an additional step to see the radar and current temp upon opening the app

Used this app for many years. I’ve never reviewed an app in my life but this redesign is so bad it’s time. Terribly NOT user friendly and just visually horrible. Wish I could revert to the old version.

After opening the first time, now it doesn’t load again. The loading wheel just spins. 😡😡😡😡😡😡. FIX THE DAMNED THING.

I appreciate having the WC changing up the way we see the weather patterns but I am still adjusting to it. I would like to see the UV index can be readily available in my local details since I do not see it listed there.

Zero stars! Literally we are bombarded enough by the ads! To watch any video related to weather or news there is a ridiculous ad that you have to watch before every single one. There videos are only a few seconds each but your forced to watch another “ buy this” ad before it. Enough already! I’m poking for weather and information - not ads on what to buy. We are being constantly bombarded with ads so that these companies can make their ad money. If you want to see your weather or news without being bombarded by ad after ad - so yourself a favor and do not use this app! Terrible... annoying....

The old app was easier to view current weather and forecast. Upgraded and now using accuweather instead.

I use the app daily and the new update is visually pleasing with the exception of the daily weather. The previous versions displayed the daily high temperatures horizontally with the daily low temperatures below them. It was super easy to see at a glance either the highs or the lows for the week. Now they are all displayed in the same horizontal line alternating the highs and lows, so no more quick and easy glance at the weekly highs or lows. I’ve already found myself using another app for my weather that is easier to read. Weather Channel—please fix the display of the daily temperatures back to an easier to read format!

The app was recently updated. Looks terrible and hard to negotiate. Plus, if you are pale and need the UV index, looks like they decided that information is not important enough. I’m looking for an app that will give more information on UV index.

I really dislike the “up grade”, I just want to see the weekly weather and forecast. Not interested at all in charts or graphs-just silly. I even tried another app and it had a more friendly front end screen but it stopped working😥 I’ll keep looking

App works well, but the widget never updates the current temperature even after removing and adding it back.

The app no longer tells me the UV for the day which is a big part of why I had it. Everything seems spread out and mixed up rather than just right there when I open up the app.

The change put into place has ruined this ap. Difficult to find the weather information I want. It used to be perfect, now it’s about as useful as looking out the window.

This app had a 5 star review in my opinion before they made the latest update. It was easy to see, easy to read, easy to navigate through and the radar was the nicest to view. The update made it hard to see, hard to read, and hard to navigate through.. I would like to see them incorporate a way to have a choice of how the app looks. I would choose the way it looked before they did the update. Since the update I have been using other apps and only check the weather periodically. Before the update, I check the weather multiple times a day due to the type of business we are in. I think the update made it difficult to see and to navigate through so I gave it a one star review. I’m very disappointed with the new update! Please provide an option to select a way to have the app function as previously before the latest update. I would like to be able to give a 5 star review, Thank you!

I don’t like the update at all. It’s not as easy to see the weekly weather at a glance. This was a downgrade, not an upgrade. Deleted the app and going back to the Apple one (which is powered by the weather channel, but it’s still in the original format).

Go back to the old app or allow people to use it There flow chart style to see the weather doesn’t make sense. There used to be a 15 day forecast - now there isn’t. A simple chart with hi,low and precipitation all on one screen for 10 days (like it used to be) is ideal. No one has time to be scrolling through page by page to find the basic info that you used to have so easily accessible. I’ll use apple weather until you get this fixed.

Please bring back the old design & layout. Checked your app out daily before update. Now not so much. Looking for a new source of checking local weather.

Also need to bring back the previous daily-for-2-weeks display. The new one, although it has separate precipitation probabilities for day and night, is far too spread out.

I keep hoping that there will be an update to put the design back to the way it was before. This is not in any way more user friendly. You should be able to see everything on one screen whether it’s the daily weather, the hourly, etc. Why mess with something that already works? Please read all of the poor reviews the app is getting since the redesign and change it back. It is not user friendly, it’s unusable.

Can’t even get this app to work, just says weather channel with Watson and shows the loading buffering logo. Completely useless app if I want to look at the radar! Considering parting ways with this app

I DO NOT like the latest update. Wave chart is annoying, new layout is not detailed. Very much prefer the old layout, will probably go back to Accuweather.

Ok I had a bad review on this but now understand how to look at the information. So I took it from one star to four. Did not give a five because you get tired of constant changes to show the same weather report in a thousand ways.

I am not a fan of this version. It’s SO SLOW opening, graphics are too busy and there’s too many places I’m now required to go to see what I need. Go back to SIMPLE please! In meantime, I’m sorry, but I’m searching for a better app.

Since the newest “update” the layout is not easy to tell the coming weather at a glance. The icons are small, the wavy line for temps is ridiculous, and the icons lack color contrast. The previous version was super easy to tell what the sunshine/rain/snow/wind was going to be. Now we have to try to interpret what it’s going to be. On a related note, I emailed the support team more TWO weeks ago on how to revert to the previous version and got an email saying someone would contact me shortly... two weeks is not shortly.

Not a fan of the redesigned app at all. The readability is poor compared to the previous versions. Someone over thought this.

I hate the latest version. It is difficult to follow, slow to open and is difficult if not impossible to follow thru with what is going on. I hate it. It is not user friendly at all. Deleting it.

The older version was so much easier to use. Thought it was just me until talking with a friend who feels the same. Change isn’t always good.

I loved this app previous to the complete revision on the last update. It is not visually pleasing and it is difficult to navigate compared to previous version. It now looks more like other apps that I did not like. I gave it a chance but have decided as soon as I find another weather app that works better I will delete this app.There are many out there to choose from.

Really like the new design but why can’t you customize more features like the home screen. Some boxes I don’t want to see.

The Weather Channel was the first app I purchased. Like the accuracy, layout, and information given. This new update is awful. I will be deleting the app.

Those of us with terrible eye sight have a hard time reading the light blue, and it would be nice to focus on current weather.

The new 7 day forecast graph with its sinusoidal wave pattern is not an effective way to communicate this information. It is unclear and confusing making a quick look at the weather more challenging than it should be.

I do not like the changes made to the Weather Channel app. Those changes make it more cumbersome to use and less user friendly.

Too difficult to maneuver I love The Weather Channel on TV but this is too difficult to check other cities important to me.

As a tech guy I can appreciate the need to redefine and innovate, however, that shouldn’t be done at the expense of the user. This new UI is way to much change at one time. This is requiring all of your users to re-learn your app. If you are forcing uses to have to learn something again, we might as well go look for something better as we’d need to learn it anyway. I appreciate how you’re trying to show weather differently, but in my opinion you missed the mark on this redesign.

This app has become less accurate over time, it’s the only weather app I have ever used, but now it isn’t right 95% of the time. It was raining outside and my radar said there wasn’t a cloud in sight for hours, but I look out the window and it is pouring.

They need to change this app back to the way it was. My patients has ran out. I think I’m going to delete it

Wow I’m super impressed with this update ! My app now transitions so much smoother. There is not longer a lag. Great job! Even looks better !

This change is awful.

The most recent app update, sometime in the end of August 2018, has ruined the app. I used to be able to open the app and get a straightforward weather forecast. Now, the app is bogged down with useless graphs and information and I’m forced to toggle back-and-forth between forecast options. I don’t understand what is so difficult about being able to open an app and see what the temperature is and see what the temperature and precipitation forecast will be for the next week. No one wants some reimagined app that is mostly useless information, they want to be able open app look at the temperature and plan their day or week accordingly. People want user friendly and fast information, the app could be a blank white screen with the temperature in black and the temperature for the next “X” number of days underneath it in black and I bet people would find it leagues better than what it is now. It looks like I will be forced to get my Weather information elsewhere

Dumb layout with absolutely no options to make any changes to the look or order of screens. Just think about the screen showing “Today’s Details”. Loads of white space with a tiny font showing the data. No info about average temperature for today or record high and low. With all the information available to The Weather Channel, they scrimp and think that we just want to see more graphics. It’s galling that the wonderful old Weather Underground: Storm app was discontinued by the very same Weather Channel and now they went and messed up their own app. I think it’s the height of arrogance to just assume everyone is going to like an awful redesign to be better than the one everyone wanted. Update - I received a response from the developer saying you’ll like it and get used to it. Well I didn’t and I deleted the app. Weather Channel, you blew it. I just installed Weather Mate, a far superior app.

Update to this app has made it non-functional. You no longer have an easy weekly view of the weather in your area. Way too many adds. Difficult to navigate. Horrible. Wish i never updated.

Have used this app for years and was completely satisfied - was always my go-to because it was simple to navigate and I didn’t have to ‘hunt’ for the weather I needed. Not a fan since the update....Simpler was so much better.

This app used to be my favorite weather app. The new update is not user friendly whatsoever. Downloaded accu weather to use instead. Go back to the previous version of this app and I will make it once again my go to. Don’t fix what’s not broken.

I do like how clean the new layout is, however on the today/ hourly /daily graph it would be much more beneficial to have the weather icons larger. I find that they are tiny and are overshadowed by the temperate line.

I miss all the weather stories local and in other states & countries.

The new update was totally unnecessary. It is billed as allowing quicker loading and navigation. The app now takes much longer to load, sometimes freezes and needs to be restarted during the loading phase and is just much less user friendly. Please get rid of the “improvements “ and bring us back an app that worked and was functional. The new “extras” are unneeded.

This most recent update is terrible! Data is harder to find, layered on top of each other and I have to move ads aside to continue down the page because they are on top of the actual weather information. If you haven’t updated, don’t bother wasting your time.

The new design is pretty but it’s too much and confusing. Plus I’m so upset you tool away the UV index... please bring it back on the day overview.

I hate this app so much since the update. What’s with all the s***** waves & trends!? You took something that was working fine and something that was easy to navigate and turned into pure GARBAGE. Also - where the heck did the UV index go??? I can’t find it anywhere. Some of us are still enjoying the last bits of summer at the beach and I count on the UV index to gauge when I can go outside to get Sun without frying but thanks to your awful update I don’t have a UV index anymore.

GIVE ME BACK THE OLD VERSION! The new update is AWFUL. A nightmare to navigate from hourly, daily and weekly views. Too much white space and light colored graphics make it difficult to read.

Well since they changed their format to be like AccuWeather I would use AccuWeather and plus you do not get the Liberal fake news as advertisement, only reason I ever used it was because I like the old format thanks for getting me away from the fake news weather channel

Just like other apps you try to update and think your going in the right direction and all you Wind up doing is s******* things up. Now it’s useless I temporarily deleted it and went to AccuWeather ,The weather Channel app is now unpredictable as to what it’s actually doing and half the time it doesn’t even work accurately. fix it and I’ll come back.!!!!!!!!maybe.

The new update is HORRIBLE. Focus on providing local coverage instead of providing videos.

Obviously works fine, but they keep updating the interface. I can’t even find the UV index anymore.

It is difficult to visualize the daily weather and the forecast with the up and down graph layout. The graph is not necessary and frankly a distraction. I can see how someone might want that option, but it should be in a menu, not the main screen. I will likely switch to a different app now since I can’t quickly look at the weather
