Bought this because of good reviews but the radio station for my area won't load so it is of no use to me. Emailed app support over a week ago and still no response. Not happy with app or service.

My local weather radio station - Mobile AL has not been available and all since I purchased the app. Not helpful as we just experienced a tropical storm - the reason I purchased the app!

I have used NOAA WEATHER RADIO at home for years and really enjoy listening to the mobile version on my IPhone especially during a camping trip are any place with Mother Nature Assistance please I made this purchase less than a week ago Some channels receive local broadcast but mine does not receive local Corsicana,Texas 75109 & 75110

Great app for weather

This app has been great to have in South Florida during the summers and hurricane season. It gives good notifications and it was very handy to have last year during the hurricane! Gives pretty spot on info and updates before they happen!

Purchased this app to listen to weather forecast. Audio has never worked; just spins and spins. Emailed support, but no response whatsoever. Don’t waste your money.

I haven’t tried the alert features but the radio streaming works well for my local station.

We sleep better at night knowing if severe weather happens NOAA Weather Radio will notify us to wake us up.

I’ve used this app for years and can always rely on it for my safety. However sometimes the stations are offline which can be frustrating but other than that I love it.

Got this app ahead of the recent hurricane. As soon as I downloaded, I tried listening the the local weather radio station. Didn’t work. Tried a few more and then a few more. 1 in 10 actually loaded. The maps are not insightful. Much better maps for free on weather.com. I want my money back.

I haven't had this app for long, but so far it's a good one. I like the different notification sounds. Tonight may be a great test for the app as we're slated for severe storms. Hopefully it warns me.

Downloaded this to get access to weather radio. The app works as advertised, though some of the audio from different weather service offices is weaker than others. Seems to give you a one stop shop for all weather data.

This is one of the best Apps on my iPhone. With this app, I receive weather up to date weather reports regardless of my location and lousy radio reception. If you travel around the country, you can receive updated weather anytime for anywhere in the US and parts of Canada. Awesome App!!!

Best alert system for weather available

This is a really cool app, when it works . I live in Louisiana and the radio for Louisiana hasn’t worked since I bought this app. Please fix this. I love the whether and would love to listen to the news about the radio

An app that carries all the official NOAA weather radio stations. I haven’t heard a NOAA weather report in years as most apps do not have this function. Bravo.

I love NOAA Weather & this APP. The information on this app is accurate and not full of drama, it’s information you can depend on to keep you and your family prepared and safe for bad weather and confident in good weather that you can enjoy outdoors activities without any unexpected surprises of bad weather. It’s honest weather reporting, get the information you need when you want it, NOAA Weather does not dramatize the weather facts only.

What good is a weather radio that doesn’t connect when you need it.. Avoid !!!

All the features you get on this app you can get for free in other weather apps. Bought this for the radio feature and all it does is continue to try and connect regardless if you're using cell signal or wifi. Very poor. Looking for a refund.

I had high hopes for this when I purchased it and then I found out that this app does not work in Bloomington, Indiana. It also does not work in many other locations. AccuWeather used host NOAA weather radio stations for free and then they stopped supporting that a few years ago. This company just pulled the data from AccuWeather so as stations failed to be updated, they are now not working on this app. This why I am giving it one star.

Terrible app. I boat in Lake Erie and not 1 of the major weather centers works on this app. That includes Cleveland- Sandusky-Toledo. For 2 years I have got the message below every time I click on the broadcast and no one from this app will respond- but they are consistently asking you to give them good reviews so they can get more money for a terrible app. "The current station is currently offline. We thank you in advance for you understanding and patience while we work on restoring this station. Stay safe and please check back later"

So thankful for this app especially during storm season here in the South!

Living in hurricane alley, we often lose our satellite television signal during intense storms. Right now is a perfect example. Hurricane Florence is just moving ashore here in Eastern North Carolina and we expect hurricane conditions for several days. We've already lost our Direct TV signal, electricity will be gone soon... for days. This NOAA weather app is our best resource to keep abreast of the forecast and emergency details. It's a "no brainer" to have this app on your phone. It could save your life.

The app is great! I can access my local weather radio station and get weather alerts. My only complaint is that my county is not listed in the alerts section, so I had to select all of the surrounding counties to cover the bases.

I've always wanted to know what NOAA sounds like around the world. This app satisfies that.

5 stars I like to learn about weather conditions in the u.s.. however when I try to activate the weatheraler warning tones I am kicked out of the app by a cookie.

Unfortunately the weather radio for my area is not working

Overall this app is great. The amount of info that it provides is amazing. I sometimes have issues getting alerts and have to go back and reset my alert settings. I like the availability f the NOAA ex radio but it seems to be limited to the stations I receive. It’s been a struggle to get local info when traveling around the country. Still, even with the quirks, it’s a handy app to have available

Hello All, I am new to this app, but I like how user friendly it seems to be

Noaa radio has been my go to for years.

I’ve been trying to find a free and easy way to listen to weather radio in Hawaii. You would think that, in this day and age, our government would provide a simple web link that you could click on, bookmark and return to easily that would play your local weather radio station. But no. Millions of tax dollars cannot figure that out. So I finally I decided to spring for this $3.99 app after failing to find a website or free app that does the job. (There used to be a free one that worked about 60% of the time but I can’t find it again). This one works 100% of the time, remembers my location and my favorite station and opens right to it when I want to listen. It even plays nicely in the background with other apps while I read email, the news, check the waves, etc. It also plays nicely with the iPhone timer app and stops playing after a set period of time. Love that robot voice to doze off to. Anyway, highly recommended, at least for my purposes. Aloha.

Customer Service is non responsive. Sent token, reported problem several times, tried deleting and reinstalling, no improvement. Used to work great. Hope service improves.

My older model Subaru used to stream NOAA radio and the newer model does not. Now I can listen anytime I want with this app. If you are a weather buff or not, be in the know for safety.

Good app but can’t always get the noaa weather radio to play. Not sure why, otherwise it would be my main weather app.

This app is reliable and accurate I love it I use it for all my weather info.

App does give you real time info. For those who live in Dayton, Oh the radio does not work. Radio said “Connecting...” and nothing happens. Emailed developer. His communication is worse than my cats. $2.00 could’ve been better spent on a 20oz. Coke.

Useful alerts and easy to access radar

Very good multipurpose WX app. Appreciate being able to get WX radio forecasts on my phone. Becomes an alternative to my handheld and fixed mount VHFs on my boat. Also allows me to travel without my handheld VHF but still be able to access current coastal weather forecasts for most boating areas I might want to visit. I only gave 4 stars because my most immediate home waters station, Wilmington, NC, comes up with ‘Station Currently Offline’. ?!?! Why?? It is active on my VHFs for reception!

I’ve needed this app several time during storms in St Louis. It always says that the station is unavailable and they are working to get it online soon. What good is the app if the station you need is never available?

I have been using the app for over 8 months now and am very pleased with the performance. There is a great deal of information available and the alerts provided arrive timely. I definitely recommend the app to anyone who wants detailed weather information at their fingertips.

I have used the app for 2 years and highly recommend it if you are a sailor or other who depends on a clear picture of the weather for work or play. Only wish is that it a coastal SE Massachusetts channel in order to get the current marine forecasts.

Radio part of this app does not work for me. I would rated higher but it has been off-line for a very long time. It is for Peoria Illinois.

This app shows a lot of promise. However my local weather station (KHB29) is listed as a working asset. This app will not connect. Emailed the app people with a question for possible help or explanation. Never a response of any kind. Just wasted money for me. K.

Very handy when there’s severe weather.

I’m trying to track storms near Jackson, TN and can’t get that particular weather radio feed. Memphis, TN is always down/offline, and others ain’t showing up. Please fix!

Over time fewer and fewer stations have been available for the full NOAA weather report.

The app works great , never fails to alert me to oncoming inclement weather , great job to the developer of this app.

The app is not perfect and it’s not the easiest to use. But, it’s very informative it’s information is clear and concise and I find it becoming more and more user-friendly as time goes on. Living in IA, it is critical to have up to the minute weather alerts. This app outperforms The Weather Chanel in time critical alerts. Time and time again, I get the alerts I need from here when I have needed them.

We are so thankful that we were warned of a storm that had tornadoes imbedded in them. It gave us time to prepare for what could happen. Fortunately the tornadoes missed our neighborhood, but just a few miles from us were devastated.

I am a NOAA Advanced Skywarn spotter. The radio doesn’t work period. It’s a useless app. The other pieces of the app are copied NWS maps anyone can access from the NWS website. Total ripoff! I paid good money for it. E mailed many times. No response. I’m lodging a complaint with the BBB.

When I first got the application I set it up to give me the weather and warnings for the counties and states surrounding my location, it's been phenomenal, no last minutes preparation for the weather. I'm always well aware of my surroundings and what to expect. The Spark option is a most have, not only for your own safety but that of your loved ones and friends. This isn't just an application, this application can be the difference between life and death, when used right. I use it throughout the day even in the most beautiful blue sky days, because so many things are weather related, not just clouds and rain. This app used to work well, and I liked the lightning notifications on Spark. Lately, Spark won’t allow me to change my settings. The box pops up and disappears. This renders Spark useless, and mainly I was using this because of Spark. Bug? Please fix it.

I have received alerts with no problem however my husband downloaded the same app and has not received any alerts. We are pretty secluded where we live, and there are no sirens in our town, so having this app reach both of us is very important in keeping our family safe.

Why are ALL stations in my state of Missouri never broadcasting? Any other state, clear as a bell. Not interested in other states! Need Branson, MO live broadcast, please. Hasn’t worked in months!

When I initially downloaded the app, my local station (Providence, RI) worked great. Now it does not connect. I get a connecting message forever. Checked both MA and CT stations and they work fine. Disappointed that I can’t hear my local channel anymore.

I downloaded this app because of flash flood warnings. Unfortunately, all the Arizona stations are currently offline. Not the fault of the app. Other stations work fine.

Most of the Florida city radio forecasts don’t work. Screen shows a constant spinning wheel and says it’s “connecting” but it never does. It does show radar, but I can get that from other apps. I really wanted this for the radio feature.

I live in a part of the country with very active weather so I have several weather apps to make sure all the bases are covered. I really like the weather radio in this app and it is always the first to notify me with warnings. I also really like that I can see lighting strikes in this app as I participate in many outdoor activities. I have been very pleased with this app.

I utilize many NOAA services including the radio app. I am a kayak and bicyclist living in the Midwest and love the outdoors. Fascinated by Mother Nature and the beautify of this amazing country but also understanding the power, makes this app a great safety tool. I look forward to all of the enhancements and upgrades they are planning to keep us all safe out there.

It looks like it’s nicely laid out. That’s why it got the two stars. But I couldn’t give it more of a rating because it never actually connected to play any weather radio but instead just spins and says that it’s connecting.

Really good when the channels are working.

This weather radio app seems to have more NOAAweather radio stations that work than some others. However, some still do not, including Pittsburgh, PA, my former hometown to where I travel to and want the audio and I hope that it can be working soon; try to develop a source there to stream the audio from there. Please keep up the good work!

I have many weather apps each one does something different. But this one has the Radar, radio and normal weather too. It also gives me alerts that get my attention so i don't miss any warnings. Ive been using this app for over a year and love it

I rely on the app when I travel by car to different states. Unavailability of local stations keep me from using it at home, where I have my regular weather radio.

This app has proven to be the best weather app I have and I have many. It's a no-brainer! This is where the others get their watches and warnings from! Completely cuts out the middle man. I get watches and warnings before it's on radio or TV! Set and forget it! The app will alert you of what you need to know right where you are even if the phone is asleep! Wouldn't be without it anymore, and my advice is “don’t leave home without it!” 👍😎

Developer has abandoned all of their apps. Avoid this like the plague!

Huntsville weather radio has been offline for a few years and that’s why I bought this app. Been patiently waiting for it to get back online. What happened to it, I would love to know.

I paid $3.99 for this app and cannot even use it as Kansas City is always off line as well as some others that pop up on the short list. Why is that? The radar compared to other apps I have on my phone is not as good either. I purchased this app for the weather radio function. Not a real good app so far. I want a refund!!! How do I get a refund?

I have used this app for years and just reloaded it to my new account. Essentially, I use the radar app and the weather radio app to stay connected during severe weather and power outages. They don’t happen often, but when they do and you need to know, this app is the place to go.

I really like this app...when it is sounding alerts. It seems to do this on and off without me making any changes. We are having severe storms today, and I get a banner notice on my phone but no sound.

I have been looking for something to replace my old weather radio. This did the trick, plus I like all the added weather maps and forecast maps.

The radio part of the app doesn’t work. Period. What’s up with that? It’s NOAA Radio, and the radio won’t connect. Other weather apps have all the bases covered much better. All I wanted here was the radio. No radio. No radio! Did I mention the Radio Does Not Work?

Plenty of info for our area in Kentucky but no access to a couple of stations in Kansas where we still have family. Overall though, we like the app but too many stations in major storm areas are offline. Please correct before I pay for an upgrade!

*****This App is NOT an official NOAA and government website!***** I contacted the Topeka, KS, office and spoke to a Meteorologist who confirmed this statement. So, my review is that this a “fake” website and Apple will be notified about this issue.

I can get forecast info and current info plus the weather radio all in one app. Updated 6/16/18: I am no longer able to play the radio for Phoenix. For weeks now it says channel not available right now. Can this be fixed pleas if it’s on the apps end.

I love this app in an emergency because of the radio. When the power is out, it’s my go to app.

This app is amazing, the only problem I have is when a storm or weather watch is in affect, the station is usually down. Other than that, this app is amazing

I am pretty happy with the app. I thought the family sharing would follow to the iPhone, it didn’t. I bought the iPhone app and received a second app not related to the developer. I sent a email. I got a prompt response from the company asking if I purchased a package. I sent them the answer, no. That email was not responded to. The app, as well as the communication could be a little easier for us older technologically challenged. I don’t get alerts but I am lucky the available stations cover my area. The reception is better than my midland. It says it sent. I do not see what name was used, I assume my email address. I also don’t see a token to receive the + upgrade. Please see the portion of the review pertaining to ease of use.

It won’t work and it keeps saying loading and the radio that I need is unavailable.

I paid $3.99 for this app and cannot even use it as Kansas City is always off line as well as some others that pop up on the short list. Why is that? The radar compared to other apps I have on my phone is not as good either. I purchased this app for the weather radio function. Not a real good app so far.

I travel a lot and can't be near a tabletop weather radio at all times. Even though I have a travel weather radio I depend on this a app to keep me notified of hazardous weather conditions whether at home or on the go. I received this app as a gift and considered to be one of the best gifts ever.

Gets all the weather alerts but I was hoping it would make noise when the siren goes off on my county.

Having the NOAA Radio app keeps me up to date on everything weather. I love having it to listen t and be able to take precautions if necessary. It helps me to stay safe and be ready whenever the weather turns bad.

I’ve had this app for a few years now... though a bit rough early on the updates are doing the job.

Plenty of info for our area in Kentucky but no access to a couple of stations in Kansas where we still have family. Overall though, we like the app.

I currently do not have cable and for weather services/warnings, this is the one id choose. It is quick with updates and has probably one of the best radars I’ve seen in an app.

I have never been able to pick up any stations. It just sends the message that whatever station I’m trying to hear is “offline” and tells me check back later. How disappointing! I love listening to the NOAA forecasts. I was looking forward to using this on the go, but I suppose I’ll have to wait until this problem is addressed or an app that works comes along.

The information is up tithe date and reliable.

Submitted two fix requests to developer concerning inoperative radio channels in tornado alley no less, a place where people’s lives depend on this kind of service. Developer would not even respond, even though their blurb states they will. The channels have still not been repaired after several weeks. Very disappointed in the service. You should not advertise yourself as a “NOAA radio” if you are next even willing to keep your primary mission objective, and that is to provide, what I hope is anyway, reliable radio communications. Other than that this app does offer some convieient access to some of NOAA’s weather data, but that is also available on the web.

I'm not sure what I paid five bucks for, but my free weather app is the ONLY app that alerts me to approaching bad weather. All I've ever seen when on NOAA is Station Offline. So much potential....so little delivery.

You download an app for emergency situation then you go to use it and it doesn’t work. Says it’s offline... well so much for that idea.

I have used this app for years. I have found it easy to use and have been able to get tornado warnings closer to me and not an entire county away. My iPhone 5S died and am now hoping it works on the SE. Will find out tonight but anticipating success!

This is much better than a desktop weather radio. It goes where I go, I can easily change locales, and I don't have to get out of bed in the middle of the night to turn it off!

My go to APP for weather for many years. It is the best.

No matter how many new tools are available now for weather forecasts, I never leave port without having listened to the familiar voice of the NOAA stations. The beauty of this is being able to get all the stations along the way before actually leaving. Keep it going and thanks.

You can count on NOAA to warn you when the storm is coming! I always refer to the radar .

Waste of money. Many stations in Florida off line and information removed. A state that needs data and it’s not there.

Use it as backup for my VHF radio. A must have for marine activities

This app was great until recently. Now I only receive notifications half the time. And not only that, half of the weather radio stations don’t work. (My local radio is Wilmington OH) If this is fixed this app would get 5/5 stars from me again. Not only, but this has happened in the past as well and customer support was more than happy to assist me, now they are completely ignoring me and my issues. I hate to say it but I wouldn’t buy this again.

Just bought this app with the impression that it was a weather radio app. When I go to choose my area’s station in Poplar Bluff, Mo I find out that the closest one to my area is St Louis, Mo 160 miles away choose it and it tells me it is offline. So I choose next closet in Branson, Mo again offline. So again I choose the next closest Memphis, Tenn guess what it’s offline too. What good is this app if none off the stations are online. The worst $2 I have ever spent.

I’ve had this weather app download for a few weeks now and I still cannot get my local NOAA weather radio station to load. I can get other stations to load. I keep getting a message that says that the station is offline. Not sure what this message means because I can receive my local NOAA weather radio station on my weather radio and police scanner. I’ve emailed the app designer twice but got no response. Would be a nice app if I could get this issue fixed since I don’t always have my weather radio or scanner with me for weather updates.

We have a good mix of volatile weather in Northern Bama. This app has helped me stay abreast of all changes in weather.

Great feedback and personalized support. Able to set alerts to my level of comfort. No longer do I have to scare my kids by having the tv on and terrifying them by every warning even if the county affected is far away. Now I can be alerted only when the weather is severe enough to head to the basement. And if a little thunderstorm pops up and I wonder if something more is expected, I can quickly open the app and check for alerts. Love the regional satellites. Keep up the good work!

“Station currently offline.” 😔 All three NOAA radio stations in Louisiana are inoperable. I installed it minutes ago because we have a bad hail storm with tornadoes in the area. Requesting my money back.

I waited to review this app for several months. When I first purchased this app it said that the radio stations were down for my area. Many moons later they are still down. I am disappointed in that. It does set the alarms off when there's a warning in my area which is good and the actual radar is a very good product. Other than that it is just like any other weather app. I can't say that it is a total waste.

I have used the NOAA weather app since 2014 and I love. I’ve been a dyed-in-the wool weather nerd since I was a child . This app was especially helpful in the just passed winter we had here in New Jersey Keep up the good work.

I’ve used this app for awhile now. I’m quite pleased with its performance and it always lets me know when lightning is nearby. My regular NOAA emergency weather radio died after several years of reliable service. I’ll eventually replace it, but for now this does the job well enough. I can’t speak for the other folks that are having a difficult time with the app. It works well enough for me.

This app is great. I remember listening to NOAA Weather Radio as a kid in the Midwest during tornado season. This is the classic radio, plus alerts, map, etc... Heck, you can even pause and rewind! I highly recommend this app. The alerts for severe weather are alone worth it.

I used to love this app. I could rely on it when our cable would go out during a storm. NOT ANYMORE!!!! It has been OFFLINE for the past month!!! Every single time I have tried to go to this app for weather information, it tells me my station is offline. Unreliable and ridiculous!!

No support in Montana, a state in which weather will k*** you if you are not ready for it. Have asked for Montana support several time with no reply.

Last week we had some severe weather in the area my weather radio did not alert me of a thunder storm watch. This app did, it will be on all the time. Thanks

Much like pushing the button on your trusty NOAA radio, this gets your straight to the data and forecasts that matter. There is no overhead or other stuff to wade through like other weather apps or your local weather channel with all its commercialization.

Really happy I got this app it performs timely and accurately. Easy to read and provides very accurate information.

This app works very well for me. It has been accurate predicting forecasts and prompt in sending notifications. In fact, it alerts me to storms and other bad weather prior to receiving notification in a banner on the bottom of my television screen. I don't think you can beat that.

I purchased this app to listen to one station. After 5 minutes the station stopped working. It is a major us city and I Can not hear it on my home based Wb radio. The app will not connect to it. I sent over 8 emails to the developer to fix it. No response. I am extremely disappointed.

Always had a Weather Radio from NOAA. It needed replaced so I purchased this app on my iPad. The weather radio seemed to post information checks weekly. So far this app has stayed silent. I hope it works in case of severe weather but haven’t had an opportunity to test it out. Our spring storms are due here in April/May. I also keep an eye on local tv station apps for weather updates. Feel a actual weather radio with battery backup is a must have in case of power outages.

I use this app for sailing on the lake. It gives me accurate weather conditions and predictions for planning trips.

As an aspiring meteorologist, the national weather service is the first source I turn to, specifically the NOAA radio. Not only can I listen to the official radio, but get notified of any severe weather alerts for that area. Super helpful!!

This app used to be great but it stopped notifying me at some point. I have emailed tech support (and heard nothing), update the app, deleted and redownloaded the app. Nada. My family has slept through severe weather twice now. I’m done. I wish I hadn’t sold my weather radio though.

Every thing my 1980's weather radio had and more! Living in HI. you need to know at a moment what's going on weather wise, on land or sea and it's all here and then some. I use this app daily.

This app is worthless. Stuck on loading and unable to use the radio feature. Should have saved the money or donated it to a future app developer fund to prevent hacks like the ones that created this NOAA radio app from future generations.

Traveling in rural areas we find this app to be helpful to warn us about in-climate weather.

The app is really good and gives you up to date weather information, however, it would even be better if it included radar. Very pleased with all the other features this app has to offer.

Radio doesn’t stream, it just spins and says connecting. It is supposed to be a weather radio app. I actually paid money for the upgrade and the app hasn’t been updated in 9 months. The developer does not respond to any request for technical support. Do not download and definitely do not pay money to this developer.

This is my “go to” weather app. I can always count on up to date information, especially during critical weather events.

Reliable and accurate. Easy to use. Having family and friends scattered throughout the country I am able to check on weather in their areas when news of possible threatening storms may effect them. I grew up on the Gulf coast and enjoy reading maritime forecasts and updates. NOAA Radio is daily, if not hourly, checked by me. Living in the Panhandle of Texas, where weather conditions can change quickly, having an accurate and timely assessment of conditions can be a life saver. A great APP to have and to use.

Love this app!! Was so helpful during Hurricane Irma last year. Not just Irma, but in following all the hurricanes. I use this at my business for the weather and encourage all employees to download the app for their own personal use. It is the go to app for disaster planning. More than willing to share a great review, I should do this more often. I also upgraded as well
