What happened to the “Future” component of the map/radar? I used to have it available, and then it was gone. I love the app, but miss that part.

I used to rely on this app as I have neither internet or cable. Lately it is constantly freezing or just plain crashing! Virtually useless.....

Constant ads and this app must be running in the background, it almost put me over my data limit for the month. I am going to uninstall it. This is unfortunate because I really like the app.

I’m disappointed that it’s not the latest weather update. Just tuned in and got this mornings forecast tonight! I thought I was promised the last newscast weather report. It’s 7:43 and the News was on at 6:00. What’s up?

I used to think this was the best weather app, but it’s been terrible ever since I switched to the iPhone X. The screen looks small and it takes a long time to load. I’m hoping to see a major update sometime soon.

Radar loads incredibly slow

Home page “Current Conditions” now gone and replaced with ads. Time to dump NBC 12 Weather and use other weather apps. I’m sooo disloyal!

This app has always been incredibly glitchy, but lately it’s become pretty much unusable. Nine times out of ten I can’t get it to load, and even when I do, it randomly shuts down. I will try re-downloading to see if that helps, but this is really annoying. I stay current with software updates, so I I don’t think that’s it.

Ever since the new update it takes 30 seconds and up to even come up and give any information. It was always fairly instantaneous before. Fix this soon or will be switching to another weather app and deleting this one.

Update to below: Discovered location setting changes to FOLLOW ME when I’ve set it to HOME static location. This doesn’t seem to happen right away after resetting back to HOME. But it does after not opening for a while. I’m really disgusted with this update. Time to search for another weather app. I’m sorry to have done recent update. It was working pretty good before, and for years. I can’t see much improvement. I do see more ads. What is up with throwing up a video at the opening? All this seems to do is slow the app from loading. Please allow video as a clickable option. I think I can still remember how to do that thank you. As our phones get older (iPhone 6+ here) this only causes more slowdown, not to mention more bandwidth usage when unnecessary. Recent check I see no lightning showing up. I know it’s happening somewhere because I can hear static crashes on my HF rig. Anybody else having his problem? I’ve been pleased with this app for years. Not so much now. 👎

Looks good! And I’m super glad this app now rotates landscape! Thank you! I also like the notification circle when there are advisories. Would give it 5 stars if it weren’t for the ads! :) PS I’ve tried several other weather apps, but this has always been the one I’ve come back to for accuracy.

You have an ad (which can’t be removed) covering the home screen. When the app pulls up, the first thing I always check is the current temp. Right now, I can’t even see the current temp. I’m deleting and reloading, but if that doesn’t fix the problem, I will be deleting permanently.

I hated the update enough to uninstall the APP.

I understand that advertisements are necessary, but they shouldn't overshadow the content and purpose of the app. The latest version is very frustrating and almost unusable.

Quick review 2 minutes before I delete app. Last thunderstorm warning took 10 minutes to load, and opened 5 minutes after the storm had moved out of the area. Accu-weather a much better option.

I used to like this app for local weather but I do not like the recent changes. Now the full screen ads sometimes locks up and the app will not load. Too many ads in between the reason why I want to use this app for my local weather. Most often the app gives a warning pop-up that it doesn't have access to my local location. Now I am getting an error pop-up stating "network error. Failed to connect. Please check that the airplane mode is off or that WiFi is connected. I am really disappointed that the function to receive text messages for severe weather warnings is being discontinued. All of the above earns this app a one star rating.

New version is much more difficult to navigate - and that's just the start of negative aspects. Cannot find one thing better with this update vs. the earlier version.

Love the storm tracks function and the indicators of what is in the storms, but the lightening tracker function does not work. I like using that to make sure that we are out of range before the kids take their baths. Hoping that gets fixed soon.

New Review: Why this app got rid of the storm tracker option, (that shows where the tornadic, hail, storm, etc. is), is absolutely beyond me. I found that invaluable. Now it's like every other c***** weather app. Please bring it back! Old Review: I'm from Cincinnati and found this app on accident. The radar is priceless especially during our tornado season here. Seeing what areas are tornadic, strong, etc and where they are heading is beyond amazing for me!

Update: Bluetooth nag is gone. Thanks for doing that. Back to working well. You lose one star for the shows-every-time ad that delays getting the weather info. Why is your app bugging me to activate Bluetooth to "Connect to Accessories" (your capitalization)? What accessories and what is it that you'd like to do? More importantly, unless you'd like it to be relegated to the trash bin, figure out a way to allow me to turn off the nagware. It's bad enough with all the ads -- especially the one that insists on re-presenting itself even when the app is already open. Nagging dialogs will definitely get your app deleted.

I’m done with this app the adds will load but not the weather What’s the point if you can’t view the weather.

*edit: Thank you for correcting the speaker issue. I've edited my review from 2 to 4 stars. This app will cause your music or podcast to stop playing when opened. There is no reason for the app to take control of the speaker unless you click on a video.

Unfortunately, Channel 6 switched to the same format. Not using either now.

Anything else I've tried is incomplete and unreliable. This has everything, and is the best I've never ever seen. I am ditching weather bug, and will not use the regular iPhone weather anymore. Kudos to you guys for coming up with a great app.

I always appreciate updates to an app as they keep it fresh. However, the most recent update has made the app unnecessarily cumbersome. I liked that the previous version opened directly to radar. Now when the app opens you have a selection of windows you can open first. Even though radar is the first of these window options, you have to select the radar window to open it. If there is a weather alert, the app goes directly to the alert window and opens it. While that isn't a bad thing per se, if a severe storm is imminent, the radar is more important to me than the alert, especially since the alert coverage area is highlighted on the radar. The latest version gives you the option of manually indicating your exact location, meaning you can place the GPS indicator directly onto your house. According to the app this allows the app to show you the weather exactly where you are. That's great! The only problem is that I do not remain permanently in one location. Once you select your "location" the GPS indicator will always show you in that location regardless of your actual location. The app does not seem to be intuitive in that regard. Also, when trying to watch a video, the app immediately crashes. The information on the app is beneficial, no question about that, and the recent update has improved the visual presentation. Functionally though, it needs some work.

Used to love the app, but over the last few months all the updates have just made it way to busy. Especially with all the advertisements.. Now I'm left looking for another app to use..

The ads in the middle of the forecasts are intrusive, distracting and just plain annoying. I want to see a forecast, not advertisements!

Good app....then one ad before you could see forecast, now two. Please give me an ad free paid version. Deleting app until this is resolved.

Great app. All the information you need. Please bring back the landscape view for iPad - the latest version did away with it.

I downloaded this app to get my local weather. When I got to the settings set up, it accurately showed my home city in current conditions. But in the Alert setting, it showed a city in Virginia half way across the country from my location. There was no way to change this. Such a disappointment. Will definitely delete this. Waste of privacy revealing. *sigh*

Changes to the look of the weekly forecast are just terrible. Difficult to read and ugly. Bring back the forecast that listed the days of the week from left to right (as seen on TV) instead of top to bottom. Bring back earlier a graphics, too!

What were you thinking? This is awful and we will have to use another weather app. Ads are intrusive, bad format, doesn't want to rotate on iPad easily.

The last update to this app has rendered it totally useless and a pain to use. Go back to previous version........PLEASE!

The new interface is slick but a nuisance to navigate, requiring more clicks and swipes. While u can set ur map to your own home, zip code location was adequate. Even w these criticisms this is still my favorite weather app for the info it provides, however.

Hate this new update. Very slow when I can even get it to load. Going to start using Weather Channel app...

This is the worst app ever! Please find some other way to pay for your app and take the long, annoying first page BNW ad away. If i am looking at an app for the weather I want something quick and fast, not slow and cumbersome, with an ad. You are trying to do too much!

This app requires too many steps to watch live video

It's way past time for landscape orientation for tablet use. Also needs multiple city hazard notifications, not just one city choice.

This app sends too many alerts. Although I'd like to hear about an impending tornado, I do not appreciate getting an alert at 3 AM to tell me it is raining. Really? And tonight I get an alert to tell me to check the website for the weekend weather. You need to correct your criteria for what warrants an alert to push out. If this keeps up this app will end up in the trash

I love how it tells you the moon phase for the night, great app

We're having a few little storms and I had to turn off the app's notifications after the 13th voice alert in 90 minutes! It's this kind of thing that gets people killed because someone goes overboard with alerts and it becomes an annoyance and is turned off! Seriously? THIRTEEN ALERTS?

Worst update ever!

This used to be arguably simply the best visual predictive ap out there. I've used it all over the globe and found it wonderfully accurate, especially its predictive "future" motion function. This moving map allowed you to see accurately what the predicted path of storms would be over the next 4-6 hours. That's what a "Warning" ap should be about. This function seems to have been removed - at least on my iPhone 6. Without it, the ap is not nearly as helpful What gives?!?

App will alert me that there is heavy rain in my area. I pull up the radar and it shows nothing. If I go to the homescreen on the app and open the radar from there, then it will show me what is on the radar.

Used to love this app. The new map with the most recent update is HORRIBLE! The map is too busy in the background to see the streets, and since there no labels and you can’t see streets, it’s hard to accurately find your location. Please fix!!!!

Love the app but let’s bring back the color coded earthquake overlay. The red, orange, and yellow bullseyes. The red circle with what looks like a pulse monitor shaded differently for time stamps of the earthquakes is a terrible idea.

This used to be my go-to weather app until recently when I just can’t get the app to stay open. It will start up then go to my home page and I don’t know what’s up. It’s only this app but I’d love if it would be fixed soon!

Weather app won’t open after shutting down and reboot several times. Missing my weather!!

Clicked on “live” broadcast. It’s a rebroadcast of the 12 news. It’s not NOW. Retitle that to something more accurate.

SERIOUSLY? Ads on the radar screen is a BAD idea!!!!!!! Can't click on past or future because a ad covers it! Are you kidding me? Please fix it.
