Herman Munster Motorcade's Review of Nest Egg
Reviewed on 3/10/20 2:12 PMIt worked well right after I bought and installed it, but now when I try to add items with the barcode scanning feature, it just crashes. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and of course lost all the items I had stored in it--but it still just crashes. I've consigned it to the trash heap. Buyers beware.

Reviewed on 3/10/20 2:12 PMI have a family of 6 and this app helps us immensely. I bought the app mostly to track warranties, but we like the lender/borrower section and location info too. Love the barcode scanner that puts almost all the info I need automatically! Great app!

Reviewed on 3/10/20 2:12 PMI was rather disappointed when the app did pretty good until I purchased the full version. Once I purchased the full version, books I scanned began to pull up completely wrong. I didn't want to spend time altering every title and the ability to organize my books was the reason for having the app. Unfortunately the paid version was, for me, a waste of money.

Reviewed on 3/10/20 2:12 PMI switched over from a more limited app, but Nest Egg is by far much more useful. It easily allows a person to provide detailed information about the manufacturer, seller, warranty, serial and model numbers. It has a very easy learning curve. Tech support is great as well.

crissaboo's Review of Nest Egg
Reviewed on 3/10/20 2:12 PMMy husband is active-duty Army, so we move. A LOT. I can't count how many belongings we've lost, broken or accidentally thrown out due to disorganization. Even my method of handwritten spreadsheets failed - we lost the notebook sometime while unloading the moving truck. When my husband received his orders last November, I was determined to do things right this time. I found Nest Egg and, with a little tweaking, developed a simple colored-coded numerical system for organizing boxes by room. I used Nest Egg to keep track of every single item in every single box, and how many boxes we had for each room of our new house. It took some extra time to get started, but once I had the system down, I was able to pack almost as fast as I could without using Nest Egg. I could locate every single item we owned with just a couple clicks. Even my in-laws were impressed - my father-in-law asked where a certain outfit was, but I'd already packed it. But, I pulled out my phone and opened Nest Egg, found the outfit, located the box and 10 seconds later, I had the outfit. After moving, unpacking was ridiculously easy. We were able to find everything we needed just by locating it in the app. And our insurance company accepted Nest Egg in lieu of a written inventory - in fact, I had taken photos of nearly all of our stuff as I packed, so we were more than prepared in case of loss. I even took photos of receipts to go with our high-ticket items, like the TV, just in case. Thankfully, this is the first moved where we had no loss, including breakage, at all during our move, but it was still nice to know we were covered. Even better, I was able to download the entire database and transfer it to my husband's phone and our iPad, so we both had access whenever we needed. And since the database is on our phone and not scribbled in a ratty old notebook, we didn't have to worry about losing it. Since moving, I've begun using Nest Egg to keep track of what we keep in storage - everything from seasonal clothes to holiday decorations to extra furniture - and it has definitely simplified our lives. I'm now putting away our Halloween decorations, photographing and listening each item as I pack it away, so that I'll know exactly where everything is come next year. I might get really adventurous one day and inventory the entire house, just because I can. Seriously, if you're moving, you have a lot of stuff in storage, you need an inventory for insurance purposes, or you just like to know where everything is, Nest Egg is the way to go. I will never move again without Nest Egg, and I recommend it to everyone I know!

Reviewed on 3/10/20 2:12 PMThis app is a battery eater!! Of all apps I have, no one consume so much battery! I like if they offer a remind when a food is about to expire and if I can specify mode than one category and one location for every item, and I'd like to divide the category. Ex: remedies, food, etc. It's an good app but need some improvements.
