Wow!!! Uber is so sneaky with their recent update. So before the update there would be a choice to select UberPool Express or Uber Pool. Now they just have Uber Pool which actually shows the price of Uber Pool Express because it automatically puts the option that you are willing to walk to and from your ride. If you change that option the price shoots up to an additional $7-10. SO SNEAKY AND MISLEADING!!! I SEE WHAT YOURE DOING UBER AND IT IS NOT RIGHT!!!!!!

The map/GPS for Uber interface is atrocious. I can see when my driver comes that Uber has led them on the worst possible route to my home. Streets can be confusing in India, but my neighborhood is quite clear. In fact, the app used to offer good directions, but I haven’t seen the correct route displayed in months. Also, the estimated time of arrival is never correct. Probably because the app is busy helping the driver get lost.

More often than not, I’ve been having numerous instances of unprofessionalism. I live on a military installation where it’s a 2 min process to enter. It only requires drivers to get their vehicle inspected of any contraband and to show proof of identification. Some employees have refused to give me pick up because they don’t want to get inspected and deal with a wait time equivalent to a red light...

They don’t respond. They don’t acknowledge when they are in the wrong. You are treated as though Uber is the customer and you work for them. Most of their response team clearly does not speak English or is told to treat their customers like crap. Uber culture and service is abominable. Switch to Lyft or Via. We need more competition in this market bc Uber is worst than Amazon and the Airlines.

Honestly don’t waste money nor time with uber... I recently downloaded the app and for some reason I can’t get it to get me a ride. I tried multiple payment options, restarting the app, re-download and nothing worked. I also tried their horrendous help services within the app but nothing seem to apply to my situatio,I am extremely dissatisfied with uber.

I live in a gated community so the gps maps directs drivers to the gate. However, my front door opens to the street (which is not my address). I would like to see Uber have a text box that will allow riders to give more detailed instruction to the drivers when we send the initial request. The drivers get upset when they call from the gate and I tell them that I really want them to get me at the front door. Some don’t understand English which creates another problem.

The App used to have an option to message a driver. That doesn’t work anymore. I use Uber frequently and need to give driver a gate access code. Sometimes the calling via the app doesn’t work because the driver doesn’t answer. Some of the drivers are really losing the plot ie etiquette and politeness.

I LOVED using the Uber app to arrange rides for my sons. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to use it due to being hacked. My advice: If you notice any irregularities with your account (e.g., random SMS codes sent via text), immediately change your Uber account password and close your credit card account. These hackers work fast! almost as if it were an inside job. Yesterday I checked my email and found that my Uber account name and phone number had been changed. There is no way to change it back without using my Uber app which I can no longer access. There is no customer service contact information. There ARE forms to fill out which seem to be handled overseas, like the number 800-593-7069, by folks who first ask for your birthdate and them abruptly end the call. I believe that Uber is run by dishonest people. UPDATE: I filled out the online forms 7 days ago and I still haven’t gotten a resolution.

Every single time the Uber goes to a different house on a completely different street and 100% of the time takes double or more of the estimated time. 30 min late to work every day almost bc of the confusion after being rear ended and having my vehicle totaled this is the last thing I want to deal with.

I use uber for work and that's about it. I have 2 complaints. Time & Price. Time: If you guys say the driver is 10 minutes away, there's no reason it should take 20 unless there's road issues or heavy traffic. So many times it says they are about 10 minutes and i'll check back in a few minutes and it'll STILL say 10 minutes away. Price: My work is about 7 minutes away. The price to get there is $10 which i'm perfectly fine with... but for some reason the way back shoots up to $30. Even if there's an uber driver right down the street the lowest price is $20 which is pretty pricey just for a 7 min drive. To future people thinking about downloading lift for work or other important destinations, just download lyft. It's cheaper and more convenient.

I had an issue with a ride. No customer support, no relevant help page information, no feedback page, no email address or phone number, no way to contact the company in any way. Not through the app or Facebook. The Facebook page is also designed in a way that thwarts customer feedback and support. No complaints, no help. Use the app or go away attitude, and no refunds. America’s worst corporation. In response to the developer response: I had another complaint about a shared ride. This time I did find a way to complain and you’re company took no responsibility and offered no refund. Uber even felt like they gave great service. I haven’t used the app since. I complained as well on the Uber Facebook page. You responded by asking me to use Facebook messenger to give you the details of the complaint. I did, and I got a “we’ll get back to you response.” You didn’t. I made more attempts to complain through Facebook and messenger with the same results. My final verdict is Uber thinks little of its customers, doesn’t care at all about customer service, and isn’t equipped as a company to handle complaints. “This doesn’t sound right.” My response: I assure you everything I said is accurate. I’ve seen this wording in other responses by your company. I suggest you come up with another phrase. Publicly doubting customer complaints will never solve your customer service issues. I’ll consider your advice on going to your app if I have time later. I’ve been happy so far using your competitor’s service.

The Gps you guys uses always takes my driver somewhere other than my destination so I have to tell them where I'm actually going, also the cost for my trip goes from $8 to $11 just because the navigation. It's annoying so please fix it or make it better. And another thing I dont like is that you guys allows the driver to accept us while they're still in the middle of a dropoff with somebody else. It makes me late for work so please change that. Thank you.

I have been using Uber for years now. I used to take it to work regularly, now that I have a car I don’t use it as often as I once did. The past few days I have used Uber and I’m really upset with how it has turned out. 1. The language barrier. I have had so many drivers who do not speak English or do not understand English and there is almost no way of me communicating with them, on the phone, in the car, etc. It’s incredibly frustrating when all you want to do is get to the destination but you have to jump through all these hoops just to COMMUNICATE with the driver. 2. Cancellation fees. The last 2 days my drivers (who did not speak English) told me they were at my pickup spot. (I was standing at my pickup spot and didn’t see anybody. In BOTH cases the driver said “hold on for a second” and then cancelled the ride and I was charged a $5 fee. When I get the fee refunded, it does not apply to my next ride or even show up as a payment option to use Uber ride credit. 3. Navigation. Whatever navigation system that is being implemented really doesn’t show the fastest way to arrive at the destination. It almost never does. Now I’m late to class because I had 2 drivers cancel on me, $10 in cancellation fees that I can’t get back, and navigation taking us some alternate route to my school. 4. The biggest problem of all. There is NO way to call a customer service rep or contact anybody. Instead you have to click around or go tweet them on twitter to voice a problem. This multimillion dollar company can’t afford a call center or some kind of way to speak to a PERSON to voice their concerns. It’s really sad. Overall I’m really annoyed with this app and I’m grateful I rarely ever have to use Uber cause I’m that case I’d always be late to where I need to go and I’d have a pile of cancellation fees.

They need to fix a couple of things. For some reason the GPS is so crappy that me and my driver are at the pickup location but it doesn’t tell me until maybe 5 minutes later or something. I’m not trying to make my driver wait and neither do I want to. Also, when I use Uber pool, they match me with drivers that are literally 1 minute away when I gotta walk 2 streets and 3 long avenues in NYC... I feel like I need to be in a rush which is inconvenient for me and the driver. I’ve had a driver call me telling me to hurry up but he didn’t understand me and didn’t get that the app made me walk far while he was so close by.

Uber increasingly is dishonest on the time when their driver is likely to arrive for a pickup. It’s often 3X to 4X longer than indicated. This can result in perverse behavior. I’ll wait for the Uber for unexpectedly long periods when I could have used Lyft or a better alternative. Sure wish they hadn’t driven Sidecar and other better alternatives out of business with their overly generous driver reimbursements.

I had a horrible experience with Uber. My driver went the wrong way, then couldn’t find our destination because the Uber gps sent us all over town. By the time we made it to our destination it led us to the wrong place & we had to walk miles down the road. I messaged Uber to have them refund the extra money I was charged for all the inconvenience & they are refusing too. I would give them a zero if I could.

This customer service experience is among the worst I’ve had. You can only reach someone through an email box on the help page, and a different person, who clearly hasn’t read the email history, responds every time. On top of that, we simply can’t get the family share to fund properly. I’m reaching out to customer service to try to pay, and they just aren’t interested. I literally begged them to charge my card for a completed ride, and they just won’t do it. Maddening!

Arrived when expected and I was out waiting for him. He drove past meeting point and backed up just enough to block neighbor who was trying to park. When I asked him to back up another 6 feet, he drove off in a huff and canceled the ride. Worst customer service ever! I just got charged from a trip a year ago. Yes an entire year, September 2017 because they had technical difficulties on their end. They said my card was expired but I went in on the app and saw that it didn’t expire until 2018. I have no access to that account any longer and have no way of viewing if I was charged or not in 2017. For all I know they double charged me. I contacted customer support that they won’t refund me. How are they allowed to charge you for something a year later?!

I am a frequent user of Uber but this time I was charged for a cancellation fee for a cab that before hand said 3 minutes away and when I placed the call tried to tell me it was 15 minutes away. The purpose was to help me get to my destination quickly, not take ages to get there. On top of that get charged a fee. Going to stop using.

Me and My brother used uber yesterday, it was rainy and muddy and we didn’t have a ride home so we used uber. We didn’t have a problem before until last night my brother got a email saying we made a mess and they took out 150. I use this app on a very regular basis and with all the changes and “improvements” that have been made you guys at uber have neglected to improve your drivers and your customer service. It is absolutely ridiculous that with as much as you charge there are still drivers who are so horrible....some that drive recklessly and others that have no regard for the rider stoping off to the store during a pick up etc. The customer service is no better with the cookie cutter responses to complaints and no real empathy in any situation for the consumer. It’s sad that this multimillion dollar operation can’t afford to do better in areas that are crucial to its consumer based platform. The convenience is the only reason this app is receiving 2 stars because otherwise I wouldn’t use it at all.

I’ve been trying to log in after getting a new phone for weeks now. Existing account, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, to no avail. I try to log in, it says that it sends me a verification code via text, I keep hitting resend until it maxes out attempts and nothing ever comes. I’ve been doing this daily for the two weeks I’ve been in Nashville because I’m generally not a fan of Lyfts receipt format for my reimbursements. Support has been useless to this point. Update: Three days and several dozen emails later, still unresolved. Most of my time has been spent resending the same verification info and screenshots and trying the same troubleshooting steps to the same failure. At this point I’ve just settled on Lyft being the only option.

I was going a few blocks. I ordered an Uber to get there quickly and not have to walk in the heat. Instead I waited almost 1/2 hour. Ancelet stood me up and refused to answer my texts. I finally was assigned a new guy Satpal who was great. I ended up late and sweaty waiting for Uber. Never again.

Lately, the circular pay profile icon (personal, business, etc) has disappeared. It reappears when I delete and reinstall. But then it disappears again. This was a problem is earlier versions too. I use this app all the time, so I hope it is fixed soon.

Order an Uber, driver isn’t moving...says 6 minutes away but is across town. No way they are 6 minutes away even if they were moving. Took them over 20 minutes to even get here. Happens every time. Can’t cancel because Uber is greedy and charges for everything.

My biggest complaint that has happened twice now is that i use Uber gift cards to manage my spending. Well two times i had an outstanding balance of like $2. I go into the app and add the gift card but didn’t click on outstanding balance and then add gift card. So then i cannot use Uber because i still have an outstanding balance and $50 worth of Uber credits. Tried switching the payment method on the last trip and they were quick to remove the credits from the gift card but still have an outstanding balance. Really frustrating!!

I’ve been using the app and service for years. Recently a new version messed up the navigation algorithm and now sends pool rides, especially pick-ups to unrealistic roundabouts and deviations, increasing the ride time significantly. Fix urgently!!

An Uber driver drove right pass me and kept on going. When looking at the app, it automatically extended my wait time from 1 minute to 29 minutes while showing the track he had to go as he picked up and dropped other clients. I couldn’t request another driver and couldn’t contact anyone about it this error. Canceling that request would have resulted in an unfair charge to my account, so would taking the metro/taxi. So I waited in the blistering sun in that same corner till the driver came back around. If it was raining, the only way out is to get into a cab then challenge the Uber charges later on with my bank, which is pretty inconvenient.

I’ve continuously cut this company too much slack. Finally hit the last straw. In essence, pray your ride goes perfectly because good luck getting in touch with customer service. (There is none) You get charged for canceling rides due to the driver. Uber will ‘credit’ you back with ‘credit’ you can’t even use or won’t even reflect back on your credit card. Absolute trash. I’ve spent well over $1000 and they have no problem taking your money. It’s all about them and not the customer. I took a cab today and deleted the app. I will be trying my luck with Lyft. I do not recommend using Uber to anyone. Refund system is a joke as is the company and their customer service.

Uber does not schedule rides in advance! If you get to the payment screen thinking there will be options to review your selections and schedule your ride later, there won’t, and you will be charged a $10 cancellation fee just for not knowing this. You’re welcome!

The app does not have “schedule a pick up at a later time” feature. Downloaded the app last night and don’t seem to have this feature. But checked with my friends and they seem to show this feature. Typically, this should be reported as a defect and personally I would not authorize to roll out an app in this condition if it was up to me . Can’t use lower than 1 Star 😔. American Taxi app offers this feature and works great.

I have been avoiding Uber because everyone always tells me it has not been a good experience. I desperately needed a ride to pick up my car at the auto shop before it closed so I had to resort to Uber. I schd I pick up and after waiting almost 20 mins the guys calls me, didn’t really speak English an was like “I don’t want to drive you there, sorry.” Okay that’s fine but you should have not choose the pick up an then made me wait... I was trying to get somewhere before it closed. There have been times where my ride may be 15min away. I wait for them for 10min and the driver cancels the pick up. At which point another driver may pick it up that’s another 12-15 minutes away. At that point I want to cancel the ride, but your app won’t allow me to do so without charging me a $5 fee. That’s bad business!

My issue was finally resolved by a competent Customer Service Representative that took the time to look into the issue. Uber CS determined my account was ‘flagged’ for possible fraud. Yesterday (09/03). Me trip from the Orlando airport to our residence was a mess. While making the Uber booking I said I was wearing a fluorescent green long sleeve shirt At the designated pick up area at the airport a security guard said there is an Uber driver that sees us and said she is our ride Uber said Danny was our driver. I told the female driver Danny was listed as our driver, She said Daniel and ok! Half way home she said will need cash. Knew very little English, very difficult to understand. I said we do not have the $51 fare in cash. She gave us here cell phone showing her destination. This was different than ours. She then asked us to type our address in on her phone. She made several calls to her Spanish Uber contact and said she was going to take us back to the airport. This was unacceptable for me and I showed he a $20 bill and she pointed to our address and said yes We got home ok. My issue is Uber still has the original $51 charge on our credit card !!!

Tonight’s ride is why we specifically prefer to use Lyft. Why is friendly not one of the top criteria drivers are judged on? Our driver pulled up without a word and said nothing for the entire trip, even when specifically addressed. The information on the driver we read prior to pick up couldn’t be less accurate.

The main benefit is it’s cheaper than several other taxi services. One question I have is, why does Uber charge extra money for arriving to your Uber minutes late but does not give money back when Uber drivers arrives at your destination 10-20 minutes late. All your customers get is “there is a slight delay.” Uber is quick to charge extra money but rarely want to reimburse their customers. (If there is traffic this comment does not count because I’m well aware that Uber does not control traffic.)

I understand that people need a job and they want to work their own hours but if they want to get paid they need to accept the ride instead of canceling because they don’t want to travel so far away you’re getting paid to do it. I have had 4 Uber’s cancel in one day and to be charged with the cancellation fee is outrageous and for Uber to not have a way to get in contact other than email is a far cry from stupid this app is starting to get on my last nerve

I recently moved to Florida so I have no idea where I am or where to go. One night I had gotten off work and was Uber’d to my friends house and she dropped me off way before she got to the pin point. She just stopped the car so I got out and couldn’t find where to go even with my gps. Then a few nights before that I had gotten off work and was outside waiting for 1 hour while the app said she was 5 mins away that entire hour. Then she ended up cancelling the trip and I got charged for the Uber driver cancelling the trip. That exact same thing happened the next night except I waited 30 mins before I jus cancelled it bc I was tired and needed to get home. I haven’t gotten my money back from either of those times. When I have good service I tip the drivers, but the past 5 times I rode with Uber I had bad experiences so now time to try Lyft.

I have a new phone with a new number and the app won’t send the confirmation texts to set up the account if you try to log in via Facebook. I tried entering the phone number and my email but it said my email was already registered. Big time broke app. I have verified the phone number was correct. Have used Uber a few times for the same trip. The last time I took this trip they charged me double and added 2 addresses we never even went to. Have emailed back and forth with no acceptable response. If you use them, keep your phone on and the app open. Do not get out of the car until everything looks right, because once they get your money that's it. Doubtful I will ever use them again. I can not stress enough that you need to make sure everything is correct, not just that you were picked up and delivered to the right address, but that there are not other stops added to the trip you booked. Customer Support is nonexistent. The customer is always wrong in their eyes. Pretty sure customer service responses are canned messages. Doubtful you are receiving a response from a real person. Read their responses to other reviews, pretty much the same response every time with just a few variations.

Uninstalling Uber because this was an ultimate betrayal of this company... they charged my boyfriends account for a cleanup fee for something that never happened and not to mention my son had gotten off work and used an uberpool... the driver claimed my son spilled a drink in his unclean caravan but we have surveillance from his job seeing him leave from the building without a drink!!!!! Who does that to someone and based on the pics Uber provided to my boyfriend not only was the spill not recent but it looked like it had been there for some time!!!!! It’s one thing to patronize someone for something that wasn’t done but to send such a disgusting picture states enough when dealing with Uber... if this is how u guys hire drivers whom falsifying just to collect money when they’re not receiving rides is NOT good business!!!! We r still getting down to the bottom of this mess but for anyone else, think before using Uber or uberpool... consider yourself warned....

Uber was a great app when I started using it in 2015, but the more times I used it the more I started experiencing problems. I’ve been in uber rides over 100 times & started getting picked up late, arriving late, charged more than the amount was shown, had rude drivers, & had drivers who couldn’t speak good English. I have to use uber almost everyday in order to get to work/school. So I noticed I couldn’t get into my account, sent y’all an email, & y’all said my account my deactivated b/c I wasn’t 18 years or older. Seriously y’all waited 3 years to tell me this. I had no idea there was an age requirement. I have gave this app hundreds of dollars throughout the years & this is extremely disappointing.

I love this app but there’s a lot of things that also make me hate this app. For one, Uber express there is no reason why it should take almost 5 minutes to find a ride, on top of having to wait 7-10 minutes for the ride to even get to you, not including that yiy do have to walk to the ride that takes another 3-4 minutes. It should be as fast at getting an X or pool Uber and then we’ll walk. Also the drivers like to cancel the ride when they’re 3-4 minutes away and that makes people late to work, you people don’t have a good source of where we can contact you directly and I feel like you haven’t made any changes, if you want to be a top notch company and stay top notch consider your customers concerns because we’re the reason your app is up and running etc at the end of the day.

I ordered an Uber and was told it was a 7 minute wait but the Uber stayed in the same exact spot for 30 minutes then moved a little less than a block and stayed there for another 10 minutes. Then I decided to give up and cancel but the Uber app said “cancellation fail”. Then I tried logging in onto my friend’s phone and it still wouldn’t let me cancel. After more than an hour waiting I decided to give up on using Uber and just take the bus only to still get charged $12 for a $6 ride.

Why am I being forced to rate? I don’t want to give a star but in order to write this review I am forced to give a star (SAD) I would like to speak with a live representative when I have a concern or issue. It is not fair how customers are being charged. A driver can be stuck on the same arrival time for over five minutes and when you cancel the ride because you have some where to be, WE’re charged!! Your driver isn’t charged when they arrive at a location, customer gets in their car and then they decide that they don’t want to take you. They aren’t even penalized.

I have an ongoing case with Uber regarding a clean up charge from one of my rides. After Uber representatives stated in writing that a refund would be offered, they never gave me the refund, and even disputed my claim to my credit card company. Of course I was able to provide proof that the charge was inaccurate and my credit card company refunded me. This shows another example of Uber’s lack of customer service and disjointed internal management of complaints such as mine. For a company with such scale, it is quite shocking that their lack of infrastructure is this severe. This is one of the most critical issues that Uber (and its customers) face today. 8/27/2018 Edit: To the rep from Uber that responded to my review. I’ve tried to contact Uber and that’s why I had to make the credit card company give me my money back and that’s why I’m leaving a bad review - Uber did nothing. Uber has virtually no customer support, it pays its drivers less than minimum wage and some studies show that some drivers actually lose money by working for Uber. The founder of Uber is a young billionaire that doesn’t care about individual customer and driver experience. He’s laughing to the bank

Uber needs to do more with this app because making people late because GPS isn’t up to date isn’t acceptable with how much this app is used and how much is charged by Uber. Uber needs to screen it’s drivers and their vehicles because I can tell you I had an extremely scary ride where the driver played LOUD cursing techno music, car had torn seats, the drive never said one word because he didn’t speak English( even after a near miss on an auto accident the driver said nothing) there was no Air conditioning (in Florida), the gasoline light was on as well as other mechanical lights and a grinding sound when hitting breaks however Uber sees not issue with this even after filing a complaint. I guess a $5 credit off my next ride is what my life is worth to Uber so I will let everyone I know and I myself will never use Uber again. If you look at riding we are held to standards but obviously drivers are not because my safety is not Uber’s concern.

I have been using Uber for some time now and with this new update the map is inaccurate. It will tell you they have arrived and they have not. You set up your destination and it does not take you to your destination you have to tell the driver where to go. Then you have drivers who argue with because your trying to tell them they are in the wrong location and they blame you for it when you put in the correct address. please fix this it’s very frustrating to go through this constantly

Leaving a concert is a crowded mess and I get that and I messaged with my driver to let him know. He said he’d be there ASAP. We waited 23 minutes then, with 1 minute remaining, he disappears. Cancelled without so much as a message or call. There’s no way to contact him, message him, no record that the exchange ever happened. App just starts searching for another ride. We quickly got another driver who would be 12 more minutes. Fearing we would get cancelled on again, when we saw friends who offered us a ride home we jumped at the chance. I cancelled this second ride but since it has been longer than 2 minutes, I was charged over $5 for the cancellation. I agree with a charge for wasting a driver’s time, but what about when they waste the customer’s time?? Absolutely recourse via review or credit, you’re just left there on the roadside hoping for another driver. “Christopher” in a gray Ford Explorer with a 4.93 rating and over 4K rides would have a lower rating if I had been able to give one. No call or message to let me know why he was cancelling or even that he was cancelling is something people deserve to know and be prepared for before deciding to wait over 20 minutes for him. Horrible flaw in the system and very frustrating.

They sent me a discount promotion and then they sent me an email saying the promotion was extended but when I went to pay they didn’t honor the extended promotion!!! I tried to see what could be done with Customer Service but it was like I was talking to an automated answering machine that was just spitting out answers. -Very dissatisfied customer.

The GPS in this app needs to be fixed now. I got charged $13 for a ride that i ordered that was originally $4.15 because of the app not working I want a refund for this. It’s unacceptable that my price for a ride went up $8 as I was in the vehicle.

I really like Uber, and I never liked taxis. I have always had a quick pickup by a nice, careful driver, and using the app, instead of phone calls, is so much more convenient for me. Paying is convenient with a credit card and even more so since now I can add the tip to the bill. Keep up the good work.

The questions for evaluation and quality are not well designed. The questions don’t match the metrics and the metrics don’t match the response categories. For example, I hit “other” under “Bad” hoping to be able to comment on how loud and obnoxious the music was on my Uber ride tonight. But nothing popped up. Not only a software mistake, but also a missed opportunity to get feedback, and missing data since there is no follow up for “other.”

The subject line is not a compliment. Uber used to be a nice experience: private car, clean, good conversation, stress-free shuttle to your destination. Every day, it feels like it is getting worse and worse. It used to be an anomaly to get a dirty car - now I’m surprised when they’re clean. Conversations rarely happen since most don’t speak English. I can converse in Spanish and often times have to since they have no idea where they’re going. The GPS seems to have gotten much worse for drivers as well. If I didn’t know better, I would think the taxi companies are purposely trying to sabotage the ride-share system. It’s gone from being way above a taxi to only slightly better.

I used Uber a few months ago and it was fine, but this new UX is terrible. No obvious CTA lets you know that your driver has been activated and en route, and basic user functionality has been replaced by multiple, useless promotions (drive with us). As a UX professional, I’m really disappointed that the latest Uber UX fails on all basic levels.

I had some good uber rides but a couple were bad. Just this morning I took an uber and it was the worse. The person clearly had no idea to get where I was. I was looking at the tracker and he was going in circles making me late to work. When he finally got to my house, he was so confused to where to go that my sister had to give him the directions throughout the whole ride. Doesn’t uber use a navigation tool for him to use? The answer is yes. So why does he need us to GIVE him the directions. And he was not the first uber driver to do this to me. It’s ridiculous and uber clearly needs to do background checks in these people before they give them a job with uber. Like why hire someone when they don’t know how to navigate using a freaking navigator? Does not make sense at all? Don’t get me started with uber eats🙄🙄🙄🙄

Being a college student I rely on Uber to get to places I need to go off campus like to get my hair done , doctors appts, or the grocery store. I have a complaint about Uber’s GPS. It has told me my driver has arrived , and I walk to the pick up spot and my driver is no where around. Or it says they’re here and they’re actually 5 mins away. OR it just malfunctions and my driver can’t find me and doesn’t try to call - just gives me the fee. So my driver cancels on me, and I have to pay a $5 fee because Uber can’t get it’s GPS together - on top of me paying 10 or more to get a new ride because I still need to get home. Not to mention it’s not the first time it’s happened. I don’t have a lot of money to waste , so if this continues I’ll probably just go to Lyft.

1) When I’m on wifi and/ or 4 bars, in other words great reception, I keep getting the message “not able to connect to our network right now , dismiss?” Why? 2) why can’t you you use my location for pick up other than a few feet away? Often the driver has to go out of the way to get to a meeting point which is further than my location! 🤭 3) drop off thinks that by walking a bit I save my driver time, wrong! Driver had to turn around, a few more feet right where I want to be dropped off! Time to revisit algorithms... go back to the older app ! 4) app doesn’t work as designed way too much

It’s great when it works, but there are problems. I’ve had two recently. Yesterday I tried to book a ride from the Honolulu airport to my hotel. It said the driver couldn’t be there for 40 min. At the same time I got a message to update my credit card info. My phone kept locking up due to poor reception at the airport. So I made other transportation arrangements. Five min later I got a call from a driver that she was there. I didn’t know the transaction went through. I got charged $7.52 for not cancelling a ride I didn’t even know was scheduled. Today I tried to book a ride from my hotel to Pearl Harbor. The quoted rate was $52. Our driver picked us up in a timely manner. She clearly knew where we wanted to go. Part way there she said “I’ve never been to Pearl Harbor this way,” but continued. After ending up far from the memorial, she put in a change on the app to get herself back on track. Now I get an email that says I owe $72. The ride back was $32. Doesn’t make any sense.

This was the first time I had ever used an Uber and the service was wonderful!!! We even got the same Uber twice and he was so helpful around Las Vegas!!! All the other Uber drivers were grey also but he went out of his way to help us enjoy the city by explaining thing as we went!! Thanks Uber will definitely use your services again!!! And recommend them to everyone else!

Admittedly, I have not used Uber very much, but the times I have used it, it has worked just fine and conveniently. However, under Help, there is detailed information on how to schedule a pickup in advance. In practice, it appears to not exist - at least I can’t seem to find anything in the app that allows me to schedule a pickup in advance. Help states that there is a car/clock icon to the right of the “Where to” field, but there is no such icon that I can see either on my iPhone, my iPad, or on the web site. If this feature has been removed, then you need to update Help so that saps like me don’t waste a lot of time trying to figure out just what the heck they are doing wrong.

Good app but need the ability to cite driver tardiness as a reason for rating less than 5 stars. Uber said my driver would arrive in 1 minute and the he drove by and continued driving in the opposite direction for 10 minutes before coming back and driving by me again. I tried to cancel the ride once the app said the driver was then 8 minutes away but Uber was going to charge $5 for my driver’s time. How about Uber pay me for my time when my driver drives away from me?

Booked a ride 12 hours in advance for 5am pick up. Got up at 4:30 and the app showed No Upcoming rides. Was on hotel WiFi and 2 LTE bars. Tried to book a new car and the app couldn’t find the airport. Not sure if it was the network or Uber Servers. Restarted the app 3x. No result Came to the curb and there app showed my car was 5 mins away. Relief after 30 mins of panic. Need better error messages if the server or network isn’t working.

Don’t use Uber on a busy weekend in Vegas. What a waste of time for drivers and riders. The drivers go to your location instead of the pick up point. But it’s completely off. Grab a cab if you don’t want to stand around for 30 minutes.

I've hesitated about using this or similar services due to a credit card being required and I don't like using one online and my debit card had very little in it plus the agreement is so long to read. Well, I needed to and I have to say the transaction went well. The driver was great and got to my pickup location so fast I didn't have time to finish my coffee. Nice friendly atmosphere, very pleasant. Will use in the future.

Uber has been pretty good, so far. I used it a few times in Vegas. I stayed at the Luxor, where I received a promo code for a first free ride (up to $20). I wasn’t able to enter the code on the app. When I arrived home, I called Uber and explained the situation. They were able to refund me for that ride. Only reason I gave it 3/5 stars is because 1) when I had the issue, I found it very difficult to find the customer service number and 2) I found that in many circumstances, Lyft has lower fares for their rides.

I always take Uber to work when I’m going to work. But I hate it that I put in my pickup address and drop off address and I never get picked up and dropped off that exact spot. It tells me to walk two or 3 blocks from my pickup. I especially hate it when they never drop me off at my drop stop at my drop off. Last time I had to walk 4 blocks away from my drop off and it was hot as hell and the driver wouldn’t drop me off at my destination even though I had asked him nicely. Uber please get this fix immediately because was the point off you guys are going to change my pick up and drop off. I don’t care if your doing this more easier for the driver. Top off that when my drop off gets changed I feel like I’m getting ripped off because I got charged for my drop off but the driver drops me off 3 or 4 blocks away.

First time user. App seemed to work fine. Scheduled a ride to the airport and it got confirmed. 30 minutes past the pickup time and I was still waiting to even hear from a driver. No way to report a “no show”. Would have missed my flight if not for a motivated White Top driver who came to the rescue and drove like an ace to get us there in the nick of time. SCREW UBER!!! Those unreliable a-holes have no idea what they almost cost me. NEVER AGAIN!!!

It’s all fun and games until you have an ACTUAL issue because there is NO ONE to contact. They will keep prompting you to contact them via email through the “help page”. Their response time is VERY slow and the resolve...well good luck with that. Three days I’ve sent over 15 messages with only 3 responses and none that actually resolved any issue. I purchased a gift card and you can see I have $50 credit but it won’t allow me to use and insist on asking my for a credit/debit card when I have credits on my account. Their solution was for me to verify my account through Facebook which has nothing to do with my issue and to take pics of error. Funny thing, I sent several pics in the original email so I’m sure I’m not even talking to a real person. I’m trying to place a complaint any place I know bc I’ve been robbed with no one to own up to it. They will jump on here and say oh sorry contact us at yet another email with delayed response and no solution

I have a major complaint so I normally always use uber and don’t have any major problems other than GPS issues. Today however me and my bf we’re getting dinner and ordered an Uber and they cancelled us so it redirected us to another driver, then we had 5 drivers cancel on us back to back. That’s ridiculous to have that many drivers cancel so we were just stuck out there until we finally got a driver who came to get us.

I'm a driver and found app almost impossible to use. My prior driver could not speak English and was extremely unhelpful. He actually drove off when I was trying to get into the car!!! I was confused when another driver arrived after he left because I did not figure $15 fare was worth it in any way since my "stop" was literally a bank drive through ON WAY to destination. I am so glad I'm not working for this awful company anymore. You overcharge passengers while not paying drivers a living wage. You should be shut down. I am also still waiting for my refund of $20, and honest to god, if I don't get it I will ramp up my social media campaign tell everyone I know what a terrible company you are and that people should use lyft instead. I regret every day I worked for you. You are an awful awful company, bro!

I love Uber for its convenience and the cost, but there is one big FLAW. One out of ten times an Uber driver picks me up from the correct side of the road. The other times, I have to cross a busy intersection, which can be dangerous. Why do drivers not know what side to pick you on? Uber, please fix this.

Okay, so I’ve been using Uber for a while, recently I’ve been getting “temporary charges” on my card. It’s gotten to the point where I had enough to get to work and back, but I got a temp charge that didn’t get refunded until the next morning which led me to not being able to get home AND that temp charge overdrew my card and THEN I was charged an overdraft fee for my bank. Why the h*** is this even happening. There is no costumer support button, I searched online and there is no site I can go to unless I’m a driver. This is really annoying and unnecessary. These temporary charges started happening recently. And after UBER OVERDREW MY CARD BECAUSE OF IT, I’ve been hesitant to using it. Stop this s***. Because it is EXTREMELY annoying and unnecessary.

Im basically staying in Sinaloa Mexico, my biggest complain is that their drivers don’t like to drive people that pay with card. I had to cancel a couple of drivers because they never get to the place. I see them driving around the area killing time when they figure the client is paying with card and don’t respond to the calls nor messages. I was told by this Uber driver that some drivers “ cancel” and never get to you because Uber don’t pay them right away so they rather pick up cash clients right away. So other than that I love riding with Uber in the US.

I was at the north end of Boston scheduled a ride and when the guy showed up he was already full and I still get charged $5 - totally Bogus - I work too hard fir my money $5 or not . I took a cab !! This is not my first episode with being dissed by Uber I’ve waited at the BAC for a ride home and the guy got lost and decided to pick up another fair and I got charged $5 again . I opted to share a ride with one other person to go to an address approximately 3 miles from my home. When I got into the car the driver said he had to pick up another person; he then proceeded to drive 8 or 9 miles north of my destination and also picked up a third person; it took almost 1 hour for me to reCh my destination. I don’t know how on earth Uber gave directions to that driver because it made no sense at all. I was very upset and the driver suggested I inform Uber. I asked him to do the same. I had to take an Uber back home later that night and made sure I did not share with anyone . It did cost almost 3 times as much . Bad experience

Although my driver was really nice and I gave him a 5 star rating I have say I was a little disappointed when I saw that I’d been charged a wait time fee. As soon as I got the message that he had arrived, I came outside and stood in my driveway but did not see a car in front of my house. After standing there for a few minutes I noticed a car parked across the street and one house down from mine. He was parked at the wrong house! Again I say he was really nice but the wait time was not my fault.

I requested a luck up at 118 st 1sy ave and driver called me saying for me to walk to him / two long blocks to him . I told him NO and he finally showed up and started arguing with me . He barely spoke English and I was frantic because he seemed like he was going to harm me . I had to find a NYC Cab . He canceled my ride and left . This was my 1st time using Uber And was using my $15 off my 1st ride. I never got to use it and the driver charged me a $5 cancellation fee. I want my discount back and try again . Today was my last straw with uber! There is no real person to communicate with, hire diver that are incompetent when having a sense of direction in Chicago (relying on the GPS), the shared rides are very irritating due to the fact they want people to walk to a pick up location and to you your destination; as if I want to walk after a long day of work! And finally having way to many problems with the payments! This is the most absolutely worst transportation service ever and I thought the cabs were back! While I was in London the app continued to change which driver was assigned for my trip. It would show that the time would be 3 minutes wait with a particular driver and then after 2 min it would change to a new driver and start over at 5 minutes again. I was an hour late for dinner as a result.

I really enjoy using the app, it’s gets me where I need to be all the time. However my only complaint is that it can get pretty pricey. I’ve been a really frequent rider for a couple months now, always using the app to get to places and I find it pretty unfair that I have a friend that doesn’t use it as much or only goes a short distance, but gets 5 days or so of $4 off each ride and once the discount is over, they’d receive it again a week or so later over and over while I haven’t gotten one yet even though I request Uber a lot. How does that make sense?

I use Uber just about every day multiple times a day and every Uber driver has agreed with me when I say "Uber needs some kind of filter for military base access" something that when a rider makes a request on a military base Uber can ask "Is this a military facility?" And if the rider says yes then Uber can send the request to those who have military base access. If there's non available at the time then heck I guess we're out of luck, and we'll have to walk to the front gate to get a Uber. Even if this means the bill will be more expensive. This complaint has been brought up several times. At first it seemed that Uber was very understanding and considerate, but still nothing has happened. Again many other riders, drivers and I have this same complaint/ request. It's such a hassle having to request/ call the driver see if they have base access/ when they don't, cancel the request/ repeat (I've had to do this 10+ times on several occasions).... please add a new feature to support our troops.... respectfully, Your friendly neighborhood Uber rider. (We are having the same problem with Lyft, and still... nothing) I hope Uber takes this review seriously

This has happened to me on two occasions where the Uber driver does not meet at the prescribed pickup location and goes on to start the trip... without me on it! And there is absolutely NOTHING I can do to stop the trip! It makes absolutely no sense at all. The drivers on both occasions refused to pick up their calls and did not reply to their messages! And guess what? There’s NO way to get help for this! Uber really makes it hard to get to customer service about these issues. So on both occasions, I was charged for both trips even though I wrote a complaint to Uber (the only contact page I could find) and received no response. I’m definitely not using this app in the near future again.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Uber and use it multiple times a week, if not daily, while traveling for work. However, a few problems to fix: 1. Directions that my driver follows is rarely the quickest or direct route 2. When I’m at the airport requesting an Uber, there is a big black box on my map telling me where to meet my driver. I wish i could close out of this so I can actually see the map of where my driver is, super frustrating. 3. How come I have to pay a fee to cancel? But yet when a driver cancels on me, I don’t get a fee... doesn’t quite seem fair. Also, we should be allowed to argue a cancelation fee easier. I waited 10 minutes for my driver once and he hadn’t moved an inch! Still 15 min away the whole time. But I didn’t want to pay the fee just in case the Uber map wasn’t correctly updating the location 4. I feel the quality of cars is declining. I will get into a very old car that seems to be falling apart - if I wanted that service, I would just take a plain old taxi. Overall, surprised that a company that only functions on an app had such small annoying features.

Apparently this is the only way to give feedback regarding the app. The new phone feature is great except once you’re in the call you can no longer see any details about your trip (license plate, make/model, driver’s name, etc.)... The reason I am calling my uber driver is because I’m trying to find him/her. How did uber overlook this critical issue?

i tried ordering a 62$ uber and when i tried to order it my card declined, i then got a phone call from my bank, calling about fraud. when i asked what they meant they said that 300$ had been charged to uber. i only hit the button once and it wasn’t supposed to charge me for trying to order a cab. lyft is cheaper and ACTUALLY WORKS. There appears to be a systems error to my debit card linked to my uber account. I have reached out earlier this week, then was promised that the issue was fixed and then the agent dissolved the case, and then I reached out again because it is not the case, and now I am left in the dark without a response for 48 hours. I highly suspect that Uber is starting to mirror the management of Expedia, and I am not happy with this lackluster customer service. I am long time customer of uber, I have spent much in uber rides, and I don’t think I deserve this kind of treatment.

Great app BUT...... Uber needs to change the app to where I can have the option of car seat prior to confirmation. I feel every time I have requested UBER the driver never gets back to me on if he has car seat or not. So when they get to my pickup I have to end up paying them the $5.00 “inconvenience charge” instead of waisting their time and mine. It should be a feature BEFORE confirmation of payment. I would be happy to put 5 stars but until this feature is updated sorry you’ve taken my money 5 too many times

I used Uber for the first time in Las Vegas yesterday. The driver was very nice so we gave her a $20 tip in cash. I reported the amount of the tip on the Uber app and now I just found out that I was charged an additional $20 on our bill. The driver never informed us that the tip would be added on our credit card so now she’s getting a$40 tip and she never said a word to us to correct this.

I can’t use this app and service anymore. I cannot seem to be able to delete Amex credit cards. It deletes and then comes back. I have now 3 entries of the same credit card. Whenever I try to book a ride, I get Oops something went wrong. Been using Lyft. Oh well.

My App hasn’t worked since May. It asks for me to verify my phone number. When I do it then mom says I have multiple accounts... I Don’t. Then when I try to resolve the issue inside of the app it asks me to submit screenshots and information. I have submitted the info 3 times... not fixed. Every time I submit a message someone a new bot repeats the same message as before. Use Lyft.

I use the app often but am constantly frustrated by the map issues and no way to fix or report them. I have to call the driver every time I am picked up from home and tell them no to follow the UBER gps. I also have to watch while on a trip to make sure the driver doesn’t follow the GPS instead of the street signs. Ie. Airport is to the left and UBER is saying take the ramp to the right...

I like Uber but this time we had no contact with the driver & when we called him there was no answer. We could see his location on your app but he did not move for the 15 minutes in the rain. Your app said he would come in 6 minutes, but no show or contact 🙃. We had to find another way. Please don’t charge me for his error.

I’m extremely disappointed and angry as I had been rejected by 4 drivers for the following pick up address at 102 E Apache Tempe AZ. Then I received 2 charges in which were supposedly the result of not canceling. $9.38 and $6.17. This is unfair and what’s worst Uber does not make it easy for customers to address the situation with poor customer support. I deserve and want my money refunded back on my account please. This infuriates me that you treat good paying customers this way. SL

My uber experience was so hassle-ridden that I will be deleting the app and looking into Lyft or other services. It was difficult to navigate and change my location. When I finally changed locations, it charged me a the longer route although the in-app receipt claimed I was charged the shorter amount. I was charged almost 3 times the acclaimed amount and I would not have known had I not checked my actual bank account. The app still claims I was charged the lesser amount. To make matters worse, when I tried to contact uber, I found they do not have a customer service number or email readily at hand. You have to go through the “Help” section of the app which was no help at all and more for people who do not know how to work the app. It took such a long time to get to a section where I could describe my issue. For an app this problematic, they should have customer service readily accessible.

I was on the phone with the driver telling him exactly where to go....visitor center at Luke Air Force base, South Gate. He argued with me and went to the wrong gate. When he was directed to the gate I told him to go to.....he turned around and after being on the phone with him the whole time, he said he was 2 minutes away So I hung up to wait for him only to have him cancel the ride on me after hanging up. Always wanting us to rate them when the trip is complete we need to be able to rate them when they cancel on us so future riders will know what they can expect when they get that particular driver!

I have had an account for years. I had to reformat my iPhone and couldn’t restore from backup, so I re-downloaded all my Apps. When I went to configure Uber, I saw that there is NO place to login. It only lets me try to set up a new account - and then rejects me, because my email is already registered (duh!). I then tried on my iPad. Same. I then tried online. But the site didn’t send me a verification code, I suspect before it had sent me one when I was fiddling with the App. But it rejects that code. Finally, after an absurd number of photo verifications, the site decided that I’m not a robot, sent me an email verification code - and now I’m awaiting contact from Uber for a forgotten password. Which isn’t my problem. The only reason I want the App is because I use Uber in other countries. But now I’m apparently going to be a Lyft and Via customer here because their App - and everything else - is so non-functional. A zero would have been my preferred score. Update 8/8/18: I found a way to contact Uber support. They required me to verify my identity at an insane level. And then they never responded to help solve the problem. Ultimately, they closed the report without ever contacting me to solve the problem. I set up a new account using an alternate email address. Note: sometimes they SMS you a verification code, sometimes they don’t. Without one, you can’t complete login. Update: 8/12: I emailed them again on my original account. Went through several proof steps. On 8/13 received an email asking for additional verification, which I sent. Let’s see if they do anything. Update 8/13: Email from the Uber developer - which directs me to the same places on their site that I can’t log into because they never send a verification code! And a bunch of other useless FAQ links. Best of all, their email includes an “update your review” link which ultimately, after a while, takes me to a page with the Uber icon...and nothing else. So I took their suggestion and am now updating their review by adding a note about just how incompetent Uber is. Update 8/18: Another day, another meaningless canned response from the developer, with the exact same useless links. I got verification numbers earlier in this process. Now Uber doesn’t send them. My phone number is good. And, once again, I did not receive a response to the second trouble ticket I submitted. This is beyond pathetic. Update 9/20: Another canned email with the same useless FAQ links. I’m not going through the verification process only to have it die - again. Incredible. Update: Reading the email, I noticed Uber’s Twitter address and thought “why not.” So I sent them a tweet, they merged my two accounts and the problem has been solved! But I do wonder if they’ve looked at the App and at what prevented me from signing in. For now, I all I can do is to hope that I never have a technical problem that requires me to redownload the App. The fact that these reviews ARE read and that emails are sent to folks like me IS heartening - but now I know that Support in 2018=Twitter!

So I recently was hung out at my friends house and had a lot to drink so my friend ordered an uber for me. Everything seemed fine when I got back to where I live another friend came down to help me get up to my room. A week goes past and my friend who ordered me the uber gets chargers 150$ for “vomit” however MANY THINGS DONT ADD UP. Let’s start with the ride, he took a path that added an extra minutes to get me back, but my friend noticed and received 3$ back from it. He sent a picture of what seemed like a good amount of vomit on the ground and little on door where the cup holder is.... however my friend who helped me didn’t notice it and i didn’t have a single drop of throw up on me including my pants and shoes! But wait there more, this took place at night, but the picture he sent was during the day and the vomit was still fresh looking, weird right?? My friend who ordered the uber filed a complaint saying that this doesn’t seem right hopefully uber takes care of the issue because this is fraud. Uber you need to have something in place where people can’t get scammed for doing the “safe” thing and not driving while drunk. Please fix this issue!

I have been using uber for a while now and my Biggest issue is the fact that when you add promotions it’s Dosent apply then what is the point of having them if they don’t automatically come out when you apply them to your account and even more frustrating there is NO support email or number given !!! I still haven’t gotten this issue fix or refunded for this mistake on Uber’s part ! Also dealing with unruly drivers driving extremely fast and rough is super annoying and uncomfortable and unsafe especially when the passenger is 7 months pregnant like I am when this happened ! Your company has a lot of work to do with that and the GPS issues !

Bad drivers can give you bad ratings for bad tips. They can discriminate against you using the rating system based on race, sexuality, religion, etc. They need to fix their system and give more weight to proven drivers’ ratings (and the other way around too). It’s really unacceptable to go through a great ride with a friendly conversation initiated by the driver and give them a good tip only to be given 1 star and see a massive drop in your rating because of any number of reason, from location (sorry no control) to discriminatory ones like I mentioned earlier. And even 1 one star rating can have a pretty huge impact on your score if you’re otherwise rated 5 most of the time.

I’m just now using this service for a family member and it’s amazing! I was extremely stressed recently when a family member moved in because they have fallen on hard times. Little expensive at times. I think they should let the passengers choose what type of vehicle they need. Incase they have grocery bags , furniture , a pet etc.... But overall it’s a fair and trusting app.

I had a recent issue with an Uber driver as I requested Uber xl for 6 people & baggage. The driver arrived with a cooler & another object in the van so I had to call s second Uber. Uber gave me a refund immediately. I will use them as they handle problems expediently.

I had never tried Uber before so I was somewhat anxious. My driver, Francisco, picked me up exactly at the agreed-upon time at my son’s apartment complex (which is not easy to find). His car was spotless and had plenty of room. He was a delightful young man and I could tell that Uber has given him the opportunity to have a job that he loves and can do on his own time. Having to Uber to and from work bc my car is in the shop all week, and this is my first time using Uber. The rides have been pleasant and the app is great about keeping me up-to-date on where my ride is. Just one minor complaint about the app: if I am scheduling a ride ahead of time, there is no option to add stops like there is if you are scheduling an immediate ride. I always stop at a convenience store on the way to work, and I feel bad requesting a stop that the driver didn’t already know about, bc it could affect their schedule. They’ve been very nice about it so far, but it still feels like an imposition to me. If there is a feature I’m unaware of, I apologize; I did ask my driver this morning about this and he affirmed that there isn’t really a way to do it.. Other than that, I’ve really enjoyed the app and the service.

This is my first time to file a complaint with your Drivers’ service and charging me cancellation fees. Where can I file a refund for my two trips using Uber service? I’m now in Madrid waiting for my flight to London then to Los Angeles, California. One was the driver didn’t stop at the designated waiting area at Westin Palace in Madrid. He saw me on the other side of the street waiving my hands but I was surprised when I was surfing my Uber app that he just went to my designated destination, Hotel Arte without me as his passenger and then charged me a cancellation fee of Euro5. Please check your record about this specific trip. The other one is this morning. The driver came but didn’t want to accommodate our pieces of luggage and then he charged us for not showing up. We took a taxi instead and was cheaper. That’s unfair coz he charged me a cancellation fee of Euro5. Please act accordingly. Thanks.

Second review I’m leaving. I’m having trouble not getting frustrated about Uber lately. Both Uber AND UberEats. Like I mentioned before, I spend a lot of money on Uber and the Uber drivers can’t seem to find my address, find where I’m located at work, sends the Uber driver all over the place. Everywhere except my location. It is unbelievably expensive for the service I have received. And it is solely because of your app. 95% of my Uber drivers are amazing but they do not know where I’m at. I can send them a message or call and I cannot reach them. The app is super slow anytime I bring it up. Sometimes it will say my driver is 5 minutes away when they are pulling up to me. You guys price things how you want. I can’t do anything about that. But you should provide a better app service. For both drivers and passengers. And it isn’t my phone I made sure of that before I left this review.

Took a trip about 10 minutes away. Was told on my screen it was going to be a specific amount (I remembered the exact number). And when I pressed send for an uber, the price remained the same (I always check). When it’s around the time to get picked up, my uber driver is literally driving in circles and taking the farthest route to get to me(at least from what was shown on the gps). She ends up showing up a couple minutes later than it said. When I get into the car, my uber driver makes a comment about the fact that I went to the back seat rather than the front (I am just more comfortable that way in a strangers car no matter who or what it’s for). I let her know kindly that I am fine where I am, but I appreciate the thought. She then continues to pester me about sitting in the back, and again I kindly tell her I’m fine in the backseat. She didn’t seem to like that. As we leave, her app won’t let her say she picked me up, so she tries to blame me by saying i didn’t put the address in to where I was going. Just to make sure, I reopen the app, to see the address of where I’m going plugged in, but it still saying I needed to be picked up. As this is happening, my uber driver is driving while messing with her phone trying to fix the issue causing her to swerve here and there, and still trying to tell me I didn’t put the address in right. As we’re half way through my trip, the app fixes the gps, and then on top of everything, charges me (as I’m already on my way) $5.00 more than it said when I confirmed it. After that, the rest of the car ride was awkward as well as the drop off. Afterwards, I go to contact support, and tell them of the charges that were added, and they just say that I accepted the second charge, and what, am I making up the first?! Just seems super sketch to me, and I’ll all honesty, from all my previous experiences, I really don’t know why I didn’t just stick with lyft. I guess I learned. So this is more of a warning for y’all out there. Hope this hasn’t happened to anyone else. (And I do understand it’s $5, but that’s bad business and not some where where I want to take my money). Oh and to Uber saying the fare changes due to “time, route changes, etc..” I don’t think that involves your Uber driver staying parked in front of my house for an extra 5 to 10 minutes messing with her phone with me in the car ready to go.

The user interface for the actual pickup location can be challenging ... needs work to resolve especially in busy, out of the way, unusual or larger pickup points. My hotel lobby was on a secluded parking / reception area off a main (busy) street and yet the app kept pushing me to the Main Street for pickup. Much safer for me and the driver to use the hotel’s pickup/drop-off area. Thanks

I use this app on a very regular basis and with all the changes and “improvements” that have been made you guys at uber have neglected to improve your drivers and your customer service. It is absolutely ridiculous that with as much as you charge there are still drivers who are so horrible....some that drive recklessly and others that have no regard for the rider stoping off to the store during a pick up etc. The customer service is no better with the cookie cutter responses to complaints and no real empathy in any situation for the consumer. It’s sad that this multimillion dollar operation can’t afford to do better in areas that are crucial to its consumer based platform. The convenience is the only reason this app is receiving 2 stars because otherwise I wouldn’t use it at all. To add insult to injury, the “great” people at uber think it smart to reply to major customer service complaints with more computer generated cookie cutter responses. Seriously looking into a different platform to use that caters to the consumer because for all the money that is spent on this app....they should be so much better in the customer service department!

Hello the biggest problem when ordering a ride from uber is that there is absolutely NO way to communicate with official helpline. I ordered rise three times and everytime rider did not reach in time and his number was off. I had no way to communicate with him. On the other hand when i cancelled ride, you ppl charged cancellation fee. Ur rider was initially 3 mins away and then it became 15 mins... please add a contact helpline which should be active when ride is requested. Thank you

I had a bad experience w a Uber driver this morning her name is Kimberly do not ever send her to pick me up again. I am disabled and I send her a message to pick me up at the back of my home bc it’s more convenient for me, to get down the stairs, she said she could not find the alley, and it was raining, when I was walking up to her car she said she couldn’t hear me talking to her on the phone I heard her clearly, when I walk to her car she lowered the passenger window and yelled at me , before I got in her car, when she did that I ask her if she could still take me she was still yelling so I told her to leave that I was not riding with her, I believe it was about 8:15 am September 26, I had to call another Uber bc I had to go to the hospital. I do therapy 3 times a week. I cannot drive right now, so that’s why I depend on Uber, and I still paid her 5.00 cancellation. I tried to use Uber the other day and it said that I needed to update my phone number so I tried to do that because I’ve never change my phone number and it says it’s on two accounts. I’m not sure how it would allow me to do two accounts if it now is saying that I can’t then how did I sign up for to a concert the same phone number? I now can’t use Uber because of this and then when I tried to delete the app and give me an error. I was going to delete it so I could use the other account which I don’t believe even exist because I don’t remember ever doing another account or just use my wife’s Uber account whenever we use Uber. So now it’s not even let me doing that it’s bad enough I already get problems every day with the driver app as a driver but now even as a passenger over is terrible. Terrible customer service that can only be reached through messages. Emergency contact is hard to find. No phone numbers for customer service!!! Besides many troubles I had myself, my friends faced some more and my husband as well. We were charged ~$8.00 for the ride that wasn’t ours, wasn’t our location and drop off was three blocks away a from location. The next morning my husband receives an email saying that the trip fee was adjusted to $175‼️⁉️ no explanation for what and why and only then we saw that this wasn’t even our trip. Never seen the driver even. After two days of reaching out to customer service through dm in the app and triple explanation of the same story (assuming it’s always different people responding the messages) they finally adjust the rate to ~$9.50 explaining that this will compensate drivers work! What work? We haven’t seen this driver neither took that ride obviously! So you should reimburse her from your own pocket! We end up paying that last amount because it’s even impossible to argue with you for the millions time! So now we won’t use your services and tell everyone who’s possible that you aren’t trustworthy company and you don’t care about your costumers! P.s my previous review wasn’t even posted!

Let’s start by saying this app is great when everything is working properly but the minute you have an issue..... you are on your own I lost my phone and I tried contacting over the last four days with no results they will leave you hanging they will leave you to deal with the drivers which in most cases are the worse and you will not feel help at all do not use this app I would recommend Lyft instead.

I’ve usually had good luck with uber rides and the drivers but this time was unfortunate. I tried twice to order a car for a particular pick up time and the first time it never came and the second time they came 30 minuets early. This driver I asked to come back and she said she would (she promised to be back at 8:25) Instead she charged me for a ride I never took and didn’t even bother to text me to let me know. I gave her until 8:30 but she never showed. I had to wait 15 minutes for another car to arrive making me late to the airport. How unprofessional and inconsiderate. I really can’t believe she changed me for that when I made great efforts to communicate with her through your app. First, I’d like a refund on the first trip i didn’t take and a strike against that diver who ditched me. Second, your app needs to improve. Why would the “select a time” feature fail to work or the “send a message to your driver” not get through? Beyond frustrating and upset about being late for my flight. I’ll think twice before using uber again.

Uber does not accept my promotional codes that I use for work parties. I must have been flagged for some reason, probably Uber thinks that I’m a fraudulent account when I got a new phone or changed my email, and now my account doesn’t allow any promo codes. The worst part is Uber support is completely useless. It’s quite obvious that responses are computer generated since they get the issue but apply to a general case and not my specific case. I’ve been trying to fix this issue for over a year whenever my company gives me uber codes for parties. Every time I run into this issue and every time I hope that Uber Support will actually get better but it doesn’t. Uber doesn’t care. Very poorly run support.

I use Uber as my daily commute, since I don’t have a vehicle. I have been using it for 2 Years here in New Jersey and never had a problem until this year. The fees have increased horribly. Today I waited almost 2 hours for the “busier then usual” fees and it’s ridiculous to be spending $20 for a 12 minute ride. I never had any issues with Uber and now I can’t even afford it at times. I spend a lot of money on Uber to be treated this way. I’m sure others feel the same way.

I just asked for an Uber. The app said 5 minutes availability, then say the driver will arrive in 16 minutes. Naturally I cancelled, but then I get a charge!? What is this about? This is totally excessive and I will from now on be using Lyft as much as possible. Stop doing this Uber! People don’t cancel the car just for fun!

Uber, WHY ARE YOU SCAMMING ME? I have been a loyal customer for YEARS and I recently got a special promo code ($25 off for 5 rides) set to expire September 29, 2018. Right before I try to use it, Uber gives me another discount ($2 off 10 rides) set to expire October 1, 2018, which is relatively a WAY less beneficial discount. This whole customer service for your drivers sounding like broken records when asked about payment is annoying. Depending on the distance UBER takes from 25% - 50% of what you charge the rider... “Yes sir, we pay you time a distance”.... INFURIATING... Its the Drivers vehicle. Coincidence? Very likely not... especially when considering Uber’s failure to notify their drivers/customers of the 2016 breach. Delete Uber!

This application is nothing but problems. Prices shown aren’t accurately depicted in what you’re charged. The help function in this app is also horrible. GPS location is always wrong with pickups and tracking drivers en route is never accurate. Save yourself the hassle of using Uber and just stick to a regular taxi. 95% of the Uber drivers I’ve dealt with have no idea where to go and heavily rely on their GPS.

I purchase an Apple Watch because I was told I could use uber seamlessly with no issues. However that is not the case. I continuously receive an error message asking for me to use my cell phone. Often the cell phone is home. So I am now stuck outside with no means of transportation. Please correct this. It’s foolish for Apple Watch. GPS consistently takes drivers the longest possibly route to your destination & the last few times I’ve taken an Uber to get to class drivers have gone down streets they cannot go through and literally just dropped me off nowhere near my destination and I’ve had to walk. I received a promo code which cannot be applied in the app, and support has given me 3 different replies: “the code has expired”, meaning you’re sending out expired codes. “The code had to be applied before the ride”, meaning the support agent is not even looking at the screenshot I’ve attached. “The conditions are not met”, never communicating those conditions. Uber Chile’s facebook page is oblivious to my post on their wall. Maybe here it gets acknowledged. Update: got a reply to this reply asking me to contact support again. Did so and went through the exact same round of nonsense replies. Waste of my time. Deleted the app.

First GPS, I commute to and from work daily using this service. I normally pick Express Pool to minimize as many expenses as possible. I don’t know what’s going on with your GPS system but it’s terrible. It never points you north like every GPS that ever existed. Also, sometimes it makes you walk blocks from your selected destination. And Uber driver ends passing by the destination (your house) before he or she reaches the meetup location selected for you. Second, customer service. I waited 36 hours to fix an overcharge issue. Uber driver never ended the trip. And the CS gave me a hard time. For the same route that I take daily. Of course, I left the driver with bad feedback.

Earlier today I had contact Fred Uber to get to the airport. Initially it said that the car will arrive within 8 minutes. It took him over 20 min to get to my address. Upon arrival I told him that I’m in a rush and we would appreciate if he could take us (2) straight to the airport. He was very rude, and said that I should have asked for a different Uber. I do not use Uber or any transportation other than my car unless I must. I cancelled my ride today but was still charged! I.am.furious! This app is awful because it ASSUMES you had a ride experience. I did not. I cancelled it moments before he arrived & even spoke to him in person that it was cancelled! The app reported drivers were looking at my my ride request @10:01am & one should be there by 10:15am. He was there at 10:03am! I was waiting on my vehicle at a tire shop & it got finished by 10:02! I went out to tell the driver I’m cancelling & he kindly understood -so it seemed & tapped his app & blocked me so i could not do a thing! I did not get the ride. Fortunately, PayPal was my payment tool & will help me fight this unilateral, unfair charge! I’ve been in NYC, used Uber in many cities & NEVER been charged for a cancelled trip! If you do not get in the car, it is not a trip so you should not pay! Same goes if the driver cancels the trip. Get another one & go. Funny & too bad we passengers can't charge a driver for cancelling a pick up but drivers (like this one today for me) can charge us passengers! I am disgusted.

I am no longer using Uber. I never use my Amex card, and used it the other night on Apple Pay to leave a tip for the driver. I don’t know how, but since then there have been 9 fraudulent charges on that card in 2 days. I’ve already talked to Amex, but no number for customer service or anything from Uber. My account hasn’t been hacked, however, somehow the driver is still able to charge my card. Very poor privacy on Uber’s behalf!!!! They also don’t have a number or a way for me to resolve this. I submitted a request for the Uber Data Privity Officer to help me, but it looks like DPO just gives you information about your data. I would love to report the driver for possible fraud, but it doesn’t seem that Uber takes my privacy and well-being seriously. Absolutely terrible all around.

We had a driver in Boston who could not speak English nor could he locate us. I called him, we saw him across the street, as he was talking with us - he was stopped in the middle of the in intersection across the street. We saw him, we were waving our hands, horns were honking and yet he did not move. We finally got him to come across the intersection to where we were standing with two large pieces of luggage at the local Hertz Rental return. Once he arrived we were concerned of our safety as we saw him sitting in the middle of the intersection as cars honked and cautiously moved around him. He had no knew what we were saying and he had no idea of where we were going. We told him thank you and canceled our trip. We instead took a cab. A few minutes later I received a cancelation charge for Uber. I have tried for a long time to reach Uber disputing this charge, minimal as is was, but I can not reach them. As small as the charge was this was wrong - the driver was unsafe and I get charged - wrong - now it’s the principal. They can higher unsafe drivers and if you recognize this and cancel them- you get charged. This is not ok and I will continue to try and reach them. This charge was wrong and this driver should not be on the road and never used as a driver again!! I wish I still had his license number but it started with 8X. I can’t send this without giving him a star - my star would be an F.

I have an iPhone 6. Even before upgrading to iOS 12 I can not book travel in advance because as indicated by Uber help, there is no car icon with a clock to the right in the Where To bar. Uber ride was fine except I wish I would have known that my Uber driver was a smoker. He didn’t smoke in the car, but I smelled like smoke by the time I got to my destination—unpleasant. I think I’ll find other modes of transportation until this is fixed.

It's been couple of time now that I have a very bad experience with the express pool. I order the Uber in advance to make sure to arrive on time as I know express pool can be slower than a regular. First, the Waiting time is always wrong. It tells me around 7 min but at the end I see myself to wait the double of time. Second, I receive an pop up message to tell me that my ETA shouldn't change and I should arrive at 4.23 event if the driver gonna pick someone on the way. At the end I arrived at 4.45 and I order my Uber at 4.05... how do you explain that? It wasn't because of the trafic, nor the driver but because of you algorithm. You wrong people on the real time and then they have to wait and they are late for their appointment. You recently launched the in real time localisation for the driver to see where he is. Except that the driver doesn't always check that so it doesn't work well and then I have to run to pick up my Uber... and now, in your customer service on the app, they deleted the section when you can complain about the drive so there is no way to have a compensation for the bad service. A shame for such a big company.

I love, love, love Uber! My only request would be is to enlarge the drivers face and vehicle picture for safety reasons. You shouldn’t have to guess who you’re getting in the car with. I wear glasses and the small picture is hard to see. I’ve heard this from other’s as well.

I’m not sure if anyone else is having this issue. But for the last week, the Uber App has been freezing up and saying the drivers time within 5-6 min, only to be waiting longer. The App shuts my phone completely down when using it, I’ve had multiple issues with it. At first it was very convenient, but having to deal with drivers canceling on you and overcharging your bank account, is not my forte. They truly need to do better. I used Uber again this morning, app time stated, 6min out, the driver got here 12min later. I never wait that long for a ride. Then my phone shut down using the App. Because I would hv cancelled the ride. It is my hope that Uber hires professional and courteous people, patient and on time. And repair your App for bugs fixes. 😕

The app works fine but in August I called an Uber from Fort Lauderdale airport. I waited why over the estimated time and called the driver number on the app. He told me he didn’t speak English canceled me and Uber charged me. The did reimburse me. I have a few concerns about this app. And experience. 1. Why is it not noted this driver only speaks Spanish 2. Why would Uber allow a driver in America where the language is English not to speak the language. 3. There is no number anywhere to call with a concern. I took a ride today that cost 19.67$ and received a receipt. I now just got an updated receipt because my ride caused the driver to clean the car and so they charged an extra $20 to me for doing so. That car was the same as when I got in it. There was no discussion as to anything being wrong. Nothing was spilt. so they just take the drivers word for it and they charge me? Did she just feel a need for a clean and thought she would stick the cost to me? Tried contacting Uber and can’t seem to find any way of actually doing so. I am so angry right now. I was extremely happy with my ride, the driver and the overall quality of service I received. Then I saw I was charged $1.95 because he waited for me in the wrong spot. I could see him and I was messaging him through the app but he sat there. Then he called me and he had to drive all the way around the airport to pick me up. I should be charging Uber for MY wait fee! I was just off a 7 hr flight, got my bags and I walk with a cane. I didn't notice anything about a wait fee. Which normally I wouldn't have a problem paying if I had delayed the driver. $1.95 isn't a bad fee if it truly were my fault but I'm tired of being nickel and dimed. Especially after I had already tipped him pretty good!

Uber ALWAYS makes me late for work & wherever i need to be. The Uber will say completing a trip nearby with maybe a wait time of 10+ mins then when they’re on their way, the gps never gives them the correct pick up location, it’s always a street over. There’s never a time I’m satisfied with a ride. I don’t recommend this nor Lyft.

Uber lately has been b.s me when I request rides and the Uber driver is 8 minutes away I cancel because he ETA is too long , they connect me to the same driver so I have to cancel multiple times and get charged a fee. Before Uber matched me with a different driver after I cancel 2x, you guys aren’t satisfied with the money you guys make already ?

The driver went to the wrong address, I told him how to find me, he then drove right by me, I texted him to turn around, he simply canceled the trip. Late for scary doctor appointment. Michael, please be more customer for used.

Your new app is horrible! It’s not user friendly, finding fare rates, trying to tip and this new Uber pick up locations are the worst idea ever! Please fix these issues!

In the long menu of support options in app, one is missing: "Other". Where I would be able to report on issues other than from Uber's own list. E.g. phone calls from app to driver do not work for months, navigation always asking my drivers to do a left turn in the same place where they aren't allowed to etc.

Awesome! First time user and loved it. I didn’t give it a 5 because it doesn’t give you the call in advance feature like it shows in direction. No way to contact anybody for help.. googled it and I wasn’t alone and nobody knows why? Other than that it was great!

Додаток зависає, в реальному часі машина не відслідковується - знаходиться на Пейзажній алеї, хоча водій реально біля залізничного вокзалу. Останніх дві поїздки чекала машину по 30-35 хвилин замість 5-6, які відображались у додатку. Відмовитись від таких поїздок можливо лише заплативши власні кошти за не наданий сервіс Убером! Немає зворотного зв‘язку зі службою підтримки в процесі виконання замовлення, лише після завершення поїздки з‘являється можливість хоч якось повідомити про проблему. Служба підтримки відписала лише 1 раз - «ми повернули вам 3 грн за доставлені незручності». На наступне запитання жодної відповіді. І це при тому, що через таку організацію роботи Уберу пропустила важливу зустріч!

Uber needs to fix the whole ride share thing. Just because it’s a pool doesn’t mean you go all the way out of the way for a ride that has a “similar” drop off area. Also, when you cancel a ride because the driver is taking to long. Don’t give me the same driver 3 times in a row after cancelling.

The Uber driver went to pick up my 18 year old son from work at 2:30 a.m. from a business that is easy to find. He had my son waiting outside for 15 minutes while he drove to the wrong places while telling us he was almost there. I had to call the driver twice because he hung up. I should not have had to pay for this ride. It took less time to drive my son home then it took the driver to get to my son’s job After he told us he was at the right place. Horrible experience.

I just recently started using Uber as my form of transportation to work. It unfortunately is really un reliable in certain areas due to the gps taking drivers to the wrong locations. Or the times when I’ve ordered an Uber well in advance to account for the gps problems and my driver cancels because we can’t effectively communicate because they don’t speak English and I don’t speak Spanish.

This was my first time using Uber... it took 47 min for a driver to finally show up. My destination was 4 miles from my pick up. Uber sent me 3 different drivers. The first driver never even made an attempt to get me nor would he answer is phone. Driver #2 headed my way, could not find the location ( kept driver right past me) I called him 4 times, he answered the phone and without talking immediately hung up on me. I cancelled the ride and Uber charged me anyway... then came driver #3- he finally arrived and I made it to my destination. Really Uber- maybe you should screen your people better. Also, I want an immediate refund on that NO Show driver.

My son got soaking wet before he got in the car. He completely changed into dry clothes and the driver gave us a bag for his wet ones, which we put in the trunk. We had one bottle of water in the car, which was not used. There was NO mess - that was a lie!

I just get off work and someone takes my ride but asked where I was going because I was his last stop, to which I responded my destination and he canceled on me. I’m exhausted and now I have to sit here an extra 10 mins because the driver was too lazy to take me home because he wanted to go home. If this is the late night service then I wouldn’t want to waste money on this

We had to cancel our ride 3 times before we realized on the way drivers go through tunnels and the ETA automatically recalculated with the wrong GPS location.

Uber provides no place to complain about poor service or dispute fees. When you click on “contact support” it takes you to the app on the App Store. What’s that about?! Very unprofessional. Unless I find a way to dispute this “waiting fee” I had to pay for a driver that was in the wrong pickup location I will just take Lyft from now on. They seem to care about their riders.

Both Lyft and UBER are great tools for airport transportation. Early morning pickups can be stressful. Both APPs have scheduling available, but in my city (Annapolis, MD) UBER scheduling tool only works downtown Annapolis while Lyft works everywhere. Also a feature Lyft has is when a schedule pickup is made, lyft drivers can pre-select the ride ahead of time to ensure the driver knows where and when your going. This is especially important when going 60 miles to an airport at 4 am, as I get feedback from (I’m a driver for both APPs) UBER passengers that from time to time drivers declined to take passenger on arrival. UBER, have a feature to preselect scheduled rides and avoid early morning stressful rides to the airport. Both APPs are great, UBER needs a little fine turning

Please note that I am Very Upset because there were 3 trips in a row that the UBER Driver canceled the trip while I had been waiting and he did not call me to confirm that he was at my Pick Up Destination at Navy Pier 600 East Grand Avenue and I was Charge $5 dollars for 3 Trips totaling $15.00 on my Credit Card. Driver Timothy cancelled my ride. I could see him on my phone, driving in circles, never once passing my location. I spoke with him twice by phone, explaining I was directly across the street from the US Supreme Court!!! How hard can that be to find? Driver was not waiting - he was off driving in circles, then cancelled. I refuse to pay a cancellation fee

So I was trying to book a trip and uber never confirmed. However I got a call later (30 min later) when I decided to walk and uber charged me for canceling but the trip was never confirmed. I’m not too sure I will use uber next time. I’m thinking of switching my money to lift. I don’t appreciate dishonest companies.
