JesusHigh's Review of Tokyo
Reviewed on 9/11/19 2:04 PMI love Pheidon publications, but this guide is a Joke. - Very little content - No updates - Wrong informations - No utilities (like city map, subway info..) Don't choose this app if you are looking to explore Tokyo, a city full of secrets and hidden places!
JT G's Review of Tokyo
Reviewed on 9/11/19 2:04 PMThere is very little value to this app, especially for $4.99. I would not advise anyone to buy it. While the Wallpaper magazine itself covers Japan well, this app does not reflect that. A better app, which has the same goals, is the one from Super Future.
CERams's Review of Tokyo
Reviewed on 9/11/19 2:04 PMSince this app cost $3.99 and has the air of quality associated with the Wallpaper brand, I assumed I was purchasing a well edited and useful guide to Tokyo. Unfortunately, glaringly missing from this app are maps of the city... as a first time visitor the app was essentially useless as I had no idea where any of their suggested points of interest were located. The app is well designed typographically and visually (would not expect anything less from Wallpaper), well written and I assume well edited. But seeing as it's a travel guide AND it's sponsored by an advertiser (Rolex) the absence of a map(s) is almost insulting: where is the added value to justify the $3.99 when the advertiser already covered your costs, Wallpaper?

Reviewed on 9/11/19 2:04 PMThe app is for iPhone 4 and 4s, even thought there are a lot of good recommendations, but it’s very limited, it’s over priced.

zchristensen's Review of Tokyo
Reviewed on 9/11/19 2:04 PMVery disappointing app that is clearly just adapted from the print version. Text cannot be selected, some images are cropped strangely and the app doesn't even fill the screen of a iPhone 5/5s/5c. Navigation and general design is also poor. Buy the book instead

Reviewed on 9/11/19 2:04 PMI'm in Tokyo with a friend using the equally priced Lonely Planet guide. He has all the same info plus about 200 more recommendations (compared to about 30 with this app).
