I am always looking up to the sky for planes I hear passing over.They are an amazing site as well as a marvel of engineering.The thought they are filled with human beings getting from one place to the other is awesome. This app helps me to be a part of all of this. I always use it when a family member is flying or I am flying. I do wish the live ATC could be incorporated into the app, that would truly be outstanding. I am aware of the danger of such information in the wrong hands but I wish there was a way I could be helpful.

I use this app as an employee at my airport but I cannot for the life of me create an alert for any of the flights coming and going from my airport.

Prior version everything worked well. Now the new “improved” alerts menus are so oddly worded can’t figure out which ones to choose. Ex: tell me when my flight arrived/delayed. ??? What’s that mean? Tell me when my flight departed. ??? I’m wouldn’t I be on “my flight”? Used to be able to just choose: alert me whenever my flight status changes. Flight Aware is faster than Jet Blue, Delta and AA in updates (often by 10-30 minutes faster ). But you need to put alerts back the way they were... easily understood. Then back to 5 stars.

No flights showing on map

I was not able to set notifications for any of my flights of choice , it kept failing every single time . Uninstalling .

FlightAware has the information posted before the airline is letting their customers know through their own apps. Gate change for departure? FlightAware first! En route change due to weather? FlightAware! Friends or employers coming in on general aviation? FlightAware if they have filed. Great app for keeping up with the flights! Well done, FlightAware staff!

Gets worse with each update, I'm going with something else! En route arrival times not shown with latest update, only departure times. Working line service we need arrival times!

I am not a professional, pilot, frequent flyer, or other that this app would be better suited for, but it’s still perfect for my usage. I only use it to track occasional flights when family members travel. I’ve tried one or two others but this one is the best, at least on the free side.

I have to admit I rarely review anything but I’m impressed enough with this one I felt compelled. It has a lot of info available and can be for the casual traveler to the business men. I only wish there were a few options to change the skins. Darker is always better for late night things. Anyway I’ve used other similar apps for years but this is the closest thing to perfect you’re going to find.

DELETED. Dont know why this app is crammed with so much garbage. Far better apps in the AppStore with out all the bloatware.

UPDATE: I waited a bit and before I deleted the app, I tried it one more time - the issue seems to have been fixed and the app is working as advertised. I actually got responses from the developer regarding this, which I found impressive and surprising. Changing my rating from one star to 5. PREVIOUS REVIEW: app worked fine for awhile, but suddenly, it will not allow me to set up notifications for flights. When I try to set a notification for a flight, I get a message that “email to friends for single day only” (or something similar). I don’t have emails to friends set up in my settings, so the error message makes no sense to me. I have settings to just email to me to track flights I want to meet. I tried turning off even emails to me to reset to “send to my device”, but I still get the error message. Flight Tracker is a much more reliable app, and it has become my go-to app for tracking flights I need to meet. This one just doesn’t work anymore.

I have an upcoming flight this Monday and I’ve been trying to set up alerts for it for days!! Everything i press the button “Set up Alert” when I’m doing picking my notification preferences, I get the error: “Unexpected Error: UNCONNECTED: channel_id is not connected: 2” Fix this please!!! Otherwise the app would be rly cool.

No where near the quality of the web sight. Flying out of Okinawa Japan and it keeps telling me Barcelona has flight delays. Why do I care? Trying to find were my plane is coming from, web is straight forward, app requires 3 deep look to find track inbound plane. My flight was delayed and even with all notifications turned on and email requested I did not receive a single notice. Junk app

Doesn’t always pick up private flights like it used to.

Used to love this app, doesn’t work right on iPhone X, freezes, won’t load, can’t save alerts, wish they would get the bugs out.

I keep getting error messages when I try to creat an alert. I tried email support and it doesn’t work either.

Really wanted this to work. Kept trying. Alerts are buggy, information didn’t stay up to date compared with other sources, and navigation is weird. I’d try to make an alert and when I hit save it would tell me there was an error. Then after five times it said too many. So I looked and they were there. Don’t know why I got the error, but it was annoying. Clearly said they weren’t being set. Had a flight I was watching and the time was 10 minutes off and never updated when the flight delayed. On top of all that, I never got a single alert for the flight! Alert is set, nothing happened. Moving to something else.

I purchased ad removal and now this update is displaying ads with no option to restore my purchase. Very annoyed and this can't be legal. Response to developer: There was no Restore Purchases button after the update. I had to remove the app and reinstall it to see that option. Reply to developer: That option was available AFTER I removed and reinstalled the app. Sorry, but that shouldn’t be necessary.

Buggy flight alerts

alert doesnt work

I’ve been using FlightAware for a long time and think highly of it. It would merit probably 4 stars if not for a few bugs that I think showed up since the last update of either FlightAware or iOS. One thing is I don’t have a settings icon top right. If I click that area my settings will show up but the icon itself is missing. Clicking the layers icon most of the time shows up a white square in the bottom with a few checkmarks but no accompanying text and no way to close the layers options - the icons dealing with that are hidden like the settings icon. This happens with the light theme on both my iPhone 8 and iPad Pro 9.7” running the latest iOS. With the dark theme everything works as it should. Edit: thanks to the swift response back to 4 stars!

And then you guys had a update. This is why I stopped updating my apps. Go back to a older version!!!

Like the title suggests, this app is really great. Yet, I do not understand why Alitalia is not considered a major airline in the app when adding flights. Please respond.

Reliable and easy to navigate.

Had to uninstall the app. Every time I tried to set up notifications for flights, I got an error message: “Unable to track that flight at this time.” Got that message for three different flights. Very disappointing.

I always have so much anxiety when my family or friends are flying without me. Irrational fear of plane crash.. this allows me to track where their flight is at all times, totally relaxes me.

Used app to track my daughter’s flight from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon. Worked great, showing progress of plane, departure times and etas. Using it on computer it shows plane’s altitude, speed, any delays, and even provides info on class of plane, photos of plane and much more info. Excellent tracker to keep in contact with plane’s flight path and when loved ones will depart and arrive at their destinations.

Please fix this I can’t remove searches!

Comes in handing for tracking flights and getting informed of changes. I know about from flight aware before the airline app alerts me!!

The app is incomplete as opposed to the website; the app appears to be geared towards Joe Average who wants to see what airliner just flew over his house. For what I use FlightAware for, its much more intuitive to use the website. App needs a lot of work and added features.

Followed a flight from Nebraska to China and back. Peace of mind to see “landed & taxiing”. Thanks for developing this app, it is very, very useful. I love it.

There a certain amount of fraud going on with the advertised page views above. Don’t expect to see the plane info or registered owner, as indicated. The latest update did away with that - some of the most useful info in the app. Otherwise it’s pretty good, albeit slow to load at times. Update - The response below is not helpful. The registration info doesn’t come up on the cited screen or any other for that matter. Used to be there, but no more.

And then you guys had a update. This is why I stopped updating my apps. Go back to a older version!!! In response to the developer. In previous versions when you clicked on a particular aircraft it opened up where you could see the type of aircraft , Registration and pictures of the aircraft registered to that N number.now you just see a tiny pic of it and no type of of aircraft. I thought seeing the type of aircraft it was and photos of it ( if any ) was the best part of this app and had all the competitors beat

Flight Aware is my all encompassing go to flight app

Appreciate being able to keep track of flights of people coming in that we are to meet at their arrival. Don’t waste my time waiting and finding out later that the flight was delayed.

This flight app has a wealth of information. Almost too much, and although recent changes have made it easier to navigate it still is complex. The real problem with the app is that so many screens are poorly formatted for the text they contain. Text overflows the space allotted to it. Sometimes this just looks ugly, but often text overflows and covers buttons. Then the buttons don’t work and the app becomes unusable. The only way to get it working again is to force-quit and start over. This has been happening through many generations of the app and they just don’t seem to get a handle on the problem. I guess there’s a problem with all that complexity.

Erase all your other plane apps! This is the only one you’ll need. It’s the only one that tells where is your plane precisely and all history of your flight

You’ve achieved one thing: no way to go but up. Worst app ever.

My daughter has been on a 35 day trip to Europe so it has been a relief to me to be able keep an eye on her flights and their status. I also recommend Life360 as another great app...I was able to know exactly where she was and her routes of travel in case of an emergency.

My whole point in using this app is to ID flights passing over. It used to open showing my location and return to it after I checked out a flight. Updates now require several taps and swipes to do the same thing. Irritating 😠.

Took awhile to figure it out. Once I did I feel like it’s very functional & its very accurate! I’m on verizon 75/75 fios wifi so its very up to date. I’m also under a flight path for incoming to Logan International so its always very busy...

App seems fine but you can only enter a maximum of 5 flights even with the paid version... which for frequent flyers makes this app useless.

The selection of alerts is great and the ways to receive them is various. The only problem is every time I’ve tried to set an alert I get an error message

Used to be you could pay once to remove ads. That isn’t the case anymore so if you want to have no advertising make sure you buy it ASAP

I love FlightAware and I was hoping to use it to track a family member flight but I can’t log in to the mobile app which is sad.

Can’t find registration information like previous reviews have stated. Developer has responded that it is there, but I don’t see it anywhere. I also purchased to have ads removed and now they are back.

Internet connection appears to be offline repetitive message. App does not work regardless of connection.

This is essential for me as a frequent traveler.

I enjoy using this app when I travel or my family travels. It’s good information. Loving it.

Paid a 1-2 years ago to remove ads and haven’t seen them until recently. FA states they’re honoring this purchase but started seeing ads in app. Rest of features are helpful.

I’ve been running version 4.4.1 for the last 4 years. Purchased a new phone and downloaded current version. The newest version is difficult to navigate, no were near as user friendly as old version. Gives me unwanted information, alerts are cumbersome to setup. If I could I would download older version.

FlightAware is the absolute best app I have found for getting info about your fight. It has great weather info, airport info and the best feature is the up to date aircraft ground tracks. This is a must have app for pilots and travelers.

What happened to the information on aircraft registration and/or ownership?

It was a greedy move to cripple your app with remove ad subscription without any warning to existing users. An email would’ve been nice. Switch back to a one time fee to remove ads.

I’ve never been a fan of the new version introduced a couple years ago, and now you guys got rid of time zones on flight info. And the light theme is all buggy with setting the overlays. Fix these issues please. I’ve been a long time user of this app.

Great consolidated information from flight status to weather. A must have for every trip.

Really love the app but specially since I live by a major airport. Great to look up in the sky and see where the various planes are heading. One slight glitch since the latest update. When I tap the far right bottom icon that looks like stacked paper, the lower half of my iPhone screen turns solid white. There are a few small blue dots on the left side. And the only way to get rid of this white segment is to close the app. Am I the only one that is having this issue?

I had paid for an ad- free app and with the latest update, ads are appearing again despite the note from the developer that previous add-free users would continue to have the add-free version. I guess the new subscription based model does not respect previous loyal customers....

This app was great! But they screwed it up by trying to fix it. Now for flight arrivals there is no time. The flight was on the ground arrived. It just says no results. But next time if it’s not broken don’t fix it. Just fix what you just screwed up. I totally agree with the universe statement. No flight arrived time is a waste of time for me. SCREweD uP NoW?

The airplanes I’m searching are not current/updating! The flights are years old!

I find the apps on my phone and iPad work as well as the terrific website I use on my Mac. I’m grateful for the many excellent features, including notifications. Speed is not a problem—it’s fast and reliable.

I really like the app and use it for a lot of different uses but I would like a spot to pick between fixed wing aircraft, and helicopters and also be able to add just a few more aircrafts for notifications instead of just 5.

Impressive app. We use it for all plane travel....ours or family. We can track process with the map or get updates. Sometimes these updates come out before the airlines’ own.

Ual1865 from san francisco to boston. Says the flights delayed but doesnt say by how much. Just keeps saying it will arrive on time and that the total flight time was less then 4 hrs. I had to go to the united and logan airport sites to get when it was going to really land. Pretty pictures but not useful if your trying to figure out when to go to the airport to pick someone up.

This was my favorite flight app but something has happened to it lately. It now shows the scheduled arrival time and not the actual estimated arrival time which can be significantly different. I have an updated IPhone and my wife’s Android shows the correct times. Please fix this issue.

I have had this app for years and I find it to be very informative and trustworthy. I can get near real time information and anticipate any travel problems using this app. The only issue I have noted is it seems to lag about 5 minutes. Otherwise I enjoy the app.

What happened? This used to be a great app. And now it just spins and spins and spins and times out. By the time I can figure something out, the flight is either landed or taken off. Jeesh.

Why is it a rocket science to set up alerts! Who requires email alerts in this day and age of apps

We followed our grandsons flight all the way to his lay over in Phoenix and continued flight to San Francisco. Kept us feeling like we were with him the whole way 😊❤️

I like this app for its functionality to view and see flights in and overhead format. It is very much like FAA TOPS that shows a pictorial representation of all airplanes in the air at one time. You can zoom in to individual aircraft and see altitude, airspeed and aircraft type. The biggest downside I’ve noticed is updating delayed flight information to reflect the new arrival time. I don’t know why they can’t get this right under arrivals information. I have to look at another source to get the updated arrival time. I hope they fix this issue, then it will be a 5 star app.

I use it for general aviation. It is perfect for for family and friends to track your ETA and arrive at the airport just in time to see you land.

The updates on FlightAware are so much faster than the airline updates. The Best.

I have used this app for years and it works well for me. It is intuitive to use to monitor flights of concern. Plus it’s been useful to satisfy my curiosity when I am at sea and wonder what flight am I seeing, where is from and where is it going.

Since the last upgrade I can’t seem to figure out how to use the app. I’ve used it for years I don’t know why it’s not working anymore. Will not show me the flights that I’m looking for. Very disappointing.

I am never able to set alerts to track a flight, I always get an error message. Can’t “Star” one either. Even upgraded hoping that would make me able to and you can’t. Waste of money. If you are hoping to track a flight and get updates on it this is not the app for you

Something is wrong with this app. When a flight is delayed, it shows the actual departure time (that’s good), but the original scheduled landing time (that’s bad). The flight duration and remaining time are as if the flight took off on time (that’s also bad). Note that the Flight Aware website shows the correct information. Apparently the app is not using the same database as the website (or it’s using it incorrectly).

Great for finding the gate at an intermediate airport and also great to check out where the airplanes above are going to and coming from!

Today I used the app to track our son’s trip but found the updated version very confusing and hard to use. So frustrated that I ended up deleting it and downloading another one in its place.

I had written another review about how this was such a go to app for me once upon a time. But the last two years it’s been harder to find flights. It has become less user friendly for everyday users. One of the main reasons for this is that you don’t separate direct flights from flights with layovers. It shouldn’t take three separate searches to locate a flight. Kept searching and the direct flights are buried in between so they are easy to miss while you’re scrolling. And frankly the way the layover flights are done is confusing. I kept sending the first leg of the flight info out to people not realizing that it wasn’t bringing up the full information of both flights when I hit it. This is because in the list of flights that comes up, you don’t specify airports in the first leg. So I was only sending that part out. The layover bar is lost a bit and I thought it was just stating that there is a layover. Not that it’s separating the two legs. I’m not tech weak by any means. And I used to use this app on a very regular basis. But haven’t been happy with it for a while. Needs to go back to the early versions and get user friendly again.

Great app for flight info!

For some reason the app now will tell you a flight is delayed but only shows scheduled departure and arrival times. It never updates to show how long something is delayed - pretty critical information!

Tracking a flight so I can meet when it arrives. Flightaware says the flight is “delayed” but shows arrival as if the flight were on time. I also checked the flightaware web site, which shows an arrival time 2 hours later. Glad I didn’t jump in my car based on what the app says!! App store description claims app tracking is “real time” but experience suggests not. Time to try the competition I guess.

Took some time to navigate the new update because it has a few quirks. Update seems to have less details. Overall it’s a helpful app. Still checking it out.

Use it to track flights and keep track of delays at airports. Great app and keep up the good work.

I way to contact the app developer to report problems

This is seriously a great app, I have been using it since 2011 and it has always worked great and provided updated info when I needed it. I also rely on this app more than waiting for airline txt updates because this app is actually faster and it’s more convenient for me.

Work easy and accurate!

This perhaps is the best place to find flight information. Have quite using other programs. A gate person told us about this app. He uses it at the airport. It often gets information to him before the program the airport uses.

Has the best general aviation coverage.

Last thing I need is another account for my data to get leaked. But you can’t get notifications for a flight without one. Uninstalled!

10/3/2018 4:40pm Alex from FlightAware read my review, realized that while my account was set up, it wasn’t yet activated. He activated it, sent me an email, and now, all is well. I have absolutely no complaints, only high praise and compliments. 5 STARS 3:15pm I’ve used this app without creating an account for several years without any problems. Today, 10/3/2018, I created an account in order to get notifications pushed to me. Any and all attempts to set notifications for a flight today have failed. I know my account is set up correctly and the flight number is accurate. I set up an account just for the notifications. I have an iPhone 7 128gb running iOS 12. I’m sure that this will eventually get resolved, but for now, I will give this app a middle rating of 3/5. The other features and the information available are wonderful.

2018/10/09 Haven’t had much chance to “play” with this app but the features used so far (flight/airport searches & saving flight info) work as expected. Performance is non-issue at this point. Although, perhaps in an upcoming upgrade you folks might want to consider expanding the number of search histories saved for flights and airports. This may come in handy in the scenario involving multiple flights to/from different airports. Also may be handy when tracking GA flights with multiple stops before final destination. These could be controlled via Settings options. 2018/10/21 Still liking it, now on my phone. In a few weeks the app will undergo my acid test during international travel. Keeping everything crossed it doesn’t let me down. Although debating about getting rid of the ads. Duh, 6 bucks versus 12 per year is a no brainer. Replace “search histories” with “favorites” on above review of 2018/10/09, not quite ready for $40 per month.

New update is not showing flight actuals. Use to work fine before last update. This is on my IPad App.

Doesn’t show “flights in my area”

Love the app, but I don’t see helicopters or the helicopter icon anymore. Is there an app that does? Live near major hospital and hear them, but not see them on screen.

Here is one example I’m struggling with. I’m trying to set up notifications. When I click the bell icon, I’m told I need to verify my email address. But where in the stupid program is that option?!

This app used to be the best, but now its fallen to the worst. It is constantly going into error stating it can’t find the flight info for the flight your trying to track. Don’t bother downloading it, and definitely do not buy the pro version!

Update: The issues I’ve complained about to support have all now been fixed. Good job! This app is the best app there is for flight tracking, bar none. 5 stars now As of September 20, 2018, they did fix the auto-refresh problem. The maps still show incomplete information just like the screenshots I’ve sent them. That being said, still hands down the BEST app for tracking flights.

It’s crashing, with a message Error: Missing key data.

I can’t seem to get aircraft info (owner/type/flight history) as easily as I could on my Android phone.

I love Flight Aware! I fly fairly often for business with my company. This app allows me to see the most up to date info on where my flight is. I can even see the flight plan prior to departure.

I have been a fan of flightaware for many years now, using it for commercial and private flight tracking (my fiancee is a pilot). The amount and accuracy of the information is unparalleled amongst free flight information apps. However, the alert functionality doesn't work (over multiple versions), and there is no way to contact support that I was able to find (when the “email support” menu is selected, I get an error stating my device is not configured for email, with no instructions to correct the issue.) Disappointing from an app with such great promise.

Love being able to track my family! Easy to use.

I paid $9.99 when I got this app. It included all the push notifications. Now they won’t do push notifications unless you “subscribe” for $2.99 per month. I paid $9.99 and it worked for a couple of years. Thanks for being money hungry and changing the terms.

Many better apps for doing what this does. Radarbox24, Planefinder, FlightRadar24, are all far superior to this product. The only thing worth while is the minute-by-minute lat/long readout. Other than that everything else is more easily accessed with far more comfortable in navigation using those other three apps. If you’re desperate to see a plane, check this out. Otherwise, don’t waste your time like I did.

I like the look of the app. Unfortunately when trying to set up an alert, EVERY flight I try to set an alert for causes an ‘Error Flight Can’t be tracked’ message. Tried multiple flights to see if it was just a certain flight causing issues, but they ALL give the same error.

If you are in an airport or on a plane, this app will give you information about your flight hours before the airline does!

This app, though it has a few bugs, is a great app

I can relay on this app either for tracking incoming flights, or when I’m traveling.

Adding flights to watch list gives “unrecoverable error”.

Tough to use the flights overhead/location feature. Tap on a flight to see information and the whole view shifts to the bottom of the screen and the information about the flight is pushed off screen. Sometimes I can drag it back to be visible, other times the screen just shifts again.

I work at an MRO and use FlightAware to track incoming planes and outgoing commercial planes we work on. I have had several planes that were scheduled to come in for maintenance have completely wrong info by FlightAware. The latest was today where a plane was scheduled to be in for maintenance today and I had been tracking for several days showed up last night but as it has for the last week was still showing it’s flight plan as flying from Colorado to North Dakota which is not the airport where I work even when the plane was sitting in the Hangar where I do work. This happening continuously doubts my belief in FlightAware’s accuracy.

I was a little skeptical about this app at first; but due to my exceeding passion to become a successful pilot, I decided to download it to my phone. Turns out I love the app and I’d definitely recommend it to others of similar interest or aspirations in aviation.

I travel a lot for work. I often know about issues before the gate or even the airline website reflects that there are delays. That way I am able to let other people know when I’ll be late in a timely fashion. I like the app.

Assay Uber driver you need to know when flights are coming in or delayed works perfect

Having had both android and iOS I will say that I like the android version over iOS. If the developers changed the iOS version to be more like android it would get the 5 star. I like the option for it to open on the screen of my choosing and the overall layout. Not sure if they will change for just me but just my opinion.

I just sent feedback regarding not being able to receive notifications via text. I couldn’t change the setting on my phone however I went on my iPad and was then able to change it from email to text message not sure how it switched in the first place but all is well with the app again now.

The app provides detail information about any designated flight including a graphic route map of the flight with altitude and speed. The app also can be used to give info on all flights in and out of a designated airport. I use this feature on a slow day to go watch flights arrive and depart at my local airport.

Easy to use

I like this app, I always have. I wouldn’t keep it if it was not working correctly. The info is up to date and running in real time. I was able to track a flight from Newark, NJ to Sydney, Australia without a problem.

To begin with, the app color is kinda nice. I like this shade of blue. However, it’s 1 star for interface; 1 star for the notification feature that only works once every 2 full moon cycles; 0 (Zero) for the ease of use: to go back to the default home screen, you have to push the ‘back’ arrow x number of times, which equals the number of operations you asked the app to do. For example, once you hit ‘done’ after setting up an alert for the flight, you have to hit ‘back’ all the way to step number 1, which is entering the flight # in the search box. Imagine how annoying it is.

Very accurate with departure and arrival times. I use this all the time!

In at the airport in Mexico City and it is closed. Your app indicates to me that the flight left gate and is taxiing. It’s highly unreliable. It happens to me also when I am wait g for a filthy and it’s delayed. The app has indicated it already arrived.

I’m a shuttle driver for a hotel, and I spend my days going to and from the airport for flight crews. I need to know the flight schedules. 1, the app does not show the correct departure/landing times. 2, I am unable to set up alerts for flights. I’ll deal with having multiple tabs open in Safari.

Good way to keep track of my partners when they fly!

Have used it to pick up and leave off my 11 year old grandson American Airlines did not update a 3 hour delayed flight, but at least Flight Aware was able to keep up with the location of the plane. I really like the app and recommend it.

Love how I can transfer flight plan into foreflight. Greatly eases use of electronic flight bag.

Cannot selectively remove items from past history. Now cannot look up flights JSON protocol errors. Does anyone there do QA testing before version releases?

Great app when they don’t screw with it. All flights were in chronological order until the update now the flights are all over the place 👎🏾

Make the app more intelligent. The app should detect whether the is WiFi and connect and / or tell you what it can do when there is no WiFi

We have a Cessna 206 with updated avionics and have had absolutely no problem with flight aware. Loved the app because our parents and family can track us as we fly...but, the last few weeks we are not able to be seen in live flight. I can tap on every plane and we aren’t showing up on the map. Can’t find our tail number. But, after we land our flight shows up and we can see where we’ve been. It’s been my most favorite app to use while my husband and son fly, but now it’s frustrating. Maybe it’ll get fixed soon.

My son is a pilot and like to see he is flying safe! Also great for tracking other flights. Great App!

Enroute arrival times are messed up again. They’re out of order and not displaying the correct time zone for the arrival airport again.

This app is awful. It failed to set up notifications for my fights, reporting cryptic and useless error messages. When I tried to delete my account I learned that there is no way to delete your account, even on their website. This is not in compliance with the GDPR so I plan to report it to the European authorities

I was initially impressed with the ability of the app so I paid for a subscription so as not to have to put up with an ad every time I clicked on something in the free version. I cannot live track any flight I manually search for and many times only a few planes show up on the map intermittently. Save your money, I’m sure there are better apps out there that are free. I’ll be search for them.

I can’t register as a user because the app won’t accept my email account. It’s just a standard email address with gmail. No funky special characters. I then tried my work email which also wasn’t accepted.

I love this app does a great job of giving us intelligent aviation news and a great job of tracking flights.

For the most part it works ok. Once you enter a flight to track, you cannot remove it from your history... I get an error msg every time I try. So if you fly often, your main screen gets filled up with old flights you aren't tracking. Seems like a simple fix, not sure why the issue is ignored.

I got excited when they FINALLY did an update but 2 years later you still can’t set an alert for a flight you’re tracking.

I love this app, I use it all the time. Mostly I use it to track my friends airplanes by the tail number. The only comment I would make is that it would be nice to be able to see a VFR flight plan, even though you could not follow it in positive control air space, it would be nice to see it filed.

In addition to my personal travel, my son is a corporate pilot. I’m able to track his flights as well as my own. Pretty cool from a layman’s standpoint.

Does everything I need.

The UI is great on this app + all the options you have for flight and aircraft info but the departure/arrival times do not match what's on the website. I find myself using the website to find accurate flight time info over the app - please fix!

Whether it is going to the airport and picking up family or my own flight info I cannot believe I ever lived without it.

Your app still has the flight arriving at 2 PM today. The United app has it at 2:13. A Google search of UA 2130 has it at 2:02 PM. Either way your app is wrong it needs to be corrected or I can no longer use it. I like your app before this issue

Use to tell you actual time of arrival. Now it just always says published time. No use for anyone working at airport or airline

Used this app last year and was terrific! This year I had a need to use it again and what a terrible failure this has been. It has become plagued with the “spinning wheel of death” and errors. I was not able to do anything the way it is now. As of 7 Jan 19, i have not had one search or request complete successfully. Works with wi-fi but a complete failure with LTE service.

Don’t use more than two or three times a year, but flight info is very good. Helps me time getting to pick up family without a long wait.

You forgot to update the arrow button which shows an airplane climbing but the arrow says it’s descending five minutes after take off. Also it shows 30,000 feet at times when actually it only two or 3000 feet after takeoff from an airport.

How come the flight shows 0 remaining minutes in flight, while the map show the aircraft hundreds of miles away from landing?

I use this app every day for work and have for years however since November 2018 it is consistently incorrect by 20 to 30 minutes on flight arrival times. Totally unusable now. Going to have to delete and replace it with something new

This app gets a lot right. The ability to set alerts for flights you’re meeting is a great concept that is well-implemented in parts. However, that feature set breaks down at the most critical stage— the arrival time. I have received alerts that a flight is in the air after a delay. In my Notifications Center, a revised ETA is provided. However, in the app, that new arrival info is not updated. Why isn’t it synced across both locations so that I can rely only on the app? Other times no revised notifications are received. I’ll be at the airport at the appointed time. Just as I’m expecting the app to show “Landed,” it updates and pushes the arrival time out by 30 minutes or more. If a tracker app is that unreliable, it becomes worthless.

I normally check my family, relatives & friends flight statuses. It works perfect.

I’ve been using FlightAware for years and have found the app to be very useful and very accurate for tracking incoming and out going flights for my family. It’s so easy to use with the app on my phone to find a flight and track the flight from beginning to end. I can’t imagine trying to keep up with family members without this app. The airlines have completely dropped the ball on customer service, so getting the information out of them is like pulling teeth, but with FlightAware, you have the most up-to-date information in seconds.

Have used this app for several years to meet international flights. In the last few months, it has become undependable, with arrival times consistently being off by as much as 20-30 minutes. I valued this app for its ease of use and accuracy. As it is now, it is too unreliable to use.
