Flight/hotel came up as a “special price” for $657.77 down from $787.. We immediately booked and guess what? We were charged the $787! After an hour on the phone and a lot of waiting and transferring of phones we were refunded! My smart Wife had screenshot the reduced price!

And to a test to that I no longer use Kayak as my to go flight app anymore. This app is more convenient, and it feels it has been getting a lot of attention to make the user experience better. It’s not as simple as kayak, but it’s easy enough to find your way around. Job well done!

I booked a trip (hotel+flight) from Detroit to Osaka. Prior to taking the trip, For some reasons the return flight was canceled, i called to have flight options after one hour spent on the phone the only options they gave me is to cancel my trip or a 2days flight back trip. I want to report the lack of professionalism i was transferred from a service to another without a clear reason. Worst experience ever!

Sometimes the deals are decent. Most of the time they will change the price to a much higher amount as you are checking out. Expedia also often times shows a bundle package up front for a reasonable deal and then when you go to choose flights they are 15-20 hour flights with overnights.. seems like a bait/switch more times than not...

This app use to be pretty good. I searched and booked trips using this app before. However, lately I have searched trips and right before checkout I get notified that there has been a price increase by about $200. I have checked directly with the airline and there isn’t a price increase. It’s sad that this company has to do this to make an extra buck. This app actually was pretty convenient but it looks like I will have to book directly with the airlines from now on

The app is best for booking hotels and has worked well for me. The app is also good for getting flight info but the problem is that you cannot book specific seats so you end up in a middle row or the other very poor seating. Usually I book directly thru the airline because of this

Called customer care within 5 minutes of booking as I entered today’s date instead of tomorrow. They were unable to help me cancel the transaction. Switched to Booking.com and I’m happy with them.

Have tried multiple times to email my itinerary to myself, print my itinerary, etc. “We’re sorry but we can’t do that right now,” is the basic answer I get. Can’t log onto my account, because the password (after resetting it) still isn’t recognized. Time to fire some techies and get someone to bump this company up to the cyber age. Too many other apps that DO work to waste anymore time with this one.

I booked this hotel nothing was explained about two deposits for rooms I was charged on my debit card 135.99 and in person on the sept 1 2018 I was charged another 100.00 per room you should take this hotel off your site I didn’t enjoy my stay and my family didn’t either this is not great and elevator problems getting stuck it was awful

Their customer service is based off some 3rd world country, the communication skills are very poor and difficult to talk with. Their system to take care of problems is very slow and dreadful. In our case, the incorrect dates were inputted into the good-for-nothing app and it would have been easier to just cancel everything since it was done just 3 minutes ago; but no. They just want your money, not caring if you use them again or not. These people dont treat you like humans

The website on my laptop is so much easier to use than this app. It’s very confusing to find what I’m looking for or to change search parameters. It’s not an intuitive app at all. I keep trying to use the app to get the extra points but I end up going back to the website on my laptop instead because I can’t get the information I need from the app.

Here’s the game. Create a sense of urgency with a low price and that is dependent upon you “booking now.” Then you book it and you’ receive a confirmation email with a higher price that you did not agree to. Then you spend an hour on the phone with “customer service” only to get a run around and ultimately cancel the trip before you pull your own hair out. Avoid this company at all costs.

I work in the travel business. I get how incredibly complex airlines, hotels, car rental businesses are. I get that there are millions of transactions every day involving 330+ days of inventory for millions of flights/seats/rooms/cars. This app does a great job finding and presenting all possible options in an approachable format. BUT some annoying little web development glitches just shouldn’t happen. When I’m signed in on this app, and I spend time finding/selecting the best rental car, don’t ask me to sign in (again) for a faster(!?) checkout ... and then after making me input my login info and do a Captcha, glitch out saying “Login limit exceeded (?) Try again in 15min” over and over for the next two days! Easier to just pay more and book Hertz rather than spend $100 of my time fighting with the checkout path in the Expedia app.

Never been thrilled with Expedia. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been burned with seat selections. Selecting window or isle on Expedia booking only to arrive to a middle seat because I never confirmed with actual airlines on the seat selection. What a hassle! Also, I been very disappointed to realize I’ve been overpaying. Expedia is not the cheapest route! I saved 50% booking direct. What a scam they have become. Don’t trust these are the cheapest flights!!!

Finally i found something that was much more worse than the customer service of expedia, it is their app. It didn’t allow me to login into my account saying that limit exceeded on the first time itself. I verified my login details and tried logging in again and the message was popping up there again like your ex-gf without any mistake of yours. Moreover the app crashes more than the shares of the company in which you invested hoping to get a profit out of it. Also never go for their insurance plan unless until you have cancer or are planning to loose your leg, remember loose your leg and not hand. Because if you loose your hand you are still capable of taking a flight and wouldn’t refund. I obviously didn’t read their 5 page insurance terms and conditions and simply bought the plan. But i learnt that they were simply interested in making money and the insurance was just a scam. According to them IF AND ONLY you have an extremely serious medical condition that makes it impossible for you to walk, you cannot even file a claim.

That’s ridiculous. It’s impossible to log in. The verification process is unrealistic. Tiny pics that people with limited vision cannot see at all. The alternative - voice recording is worse. There is a very loud noise in the background and a person with undiagnosable accent blabbers something incoherent.

The app is quite frustrating because it tells you one price then charges another, if you try to submit a photo it just redirects to previous page. It’s absolutely the worst app in so many ways. Certainly it feels the app is guided to make you pay more than you think and doesn’t allow you to give feed back. Prices change but the minute depending upon how many times you search the property. Just get the feeling of manipulation and don’t call us we’ll call you service approach.

Today has been an awful experience. Never book a flight with Spirit Airlines. The customer service I received from Spirit and Expedia was awful. Due to Expedia not having my flight entered with Spirit I had to wait for 45 minuets to get a boarding pass. The link to download my boarding pass through Expedia would not work. My flight left several minutes early so I was unable to make the flight. Even though I was at the flight desk 10 minuets before the plane left the hanger. Now I am at a Holiday Inn and again they do not have my information from Expedia.

It was a little confusing at first for me as first time using the app. But customer support guided me through the whole way, broke everything down and were able to refund me for a cancellation on a non-refundable booking. Great service all around!!

Last booking, They deducted an amount higher than what you see on the receipt or final booking! I only realized that when I got the bank SMS, not only that! The ticket’s price was higher than the airline price by 10% It used to be much better before! I thought maybe I should give it another chance.. the app is bad and doesn’t include a multi city option for example!

Using Expedia for a years and it very great service to order packages with all included. I like a lot that you can choose everything step by step and system is very simple to use. Also they have very nice customer service in case you need to get help about any questions that you need. Every time when I travel somewhere I’m using this service, 5 starts for good service. Extremely difficult to navigate. Once you set up travel the app tries to create a new account for you and will not let you associate the itinerary with an older account. One of the worst travel apps out there.

I traveled overseas book a hotel at there site , arrive at the hotel just to find out no room available and they will turn you away. Then call Expedia about the issue put you on hold for an hour. To make you spend and cost you more if your book at this site. Guy from FL

This review is specific for the bundle and trip search category. Every time I try to give this app a try is the same problem: difficult to use and look for specific hotels. The filters provided on search are not as near the options offered on desktop version. Why do you guys even bother coming up with an app if it’s going to be useless for trip researches?

Expedia encourages you to use their app and you receive double points, yet prices are more expensive on the app than they are online, particularly if you want to upgrade your room. Also dislike the way Expedia has changed the way you can use your points. These guys are going to get the money one way or the other, if you use your points they jack up the price. Seriously considering canceling my membership.

So here I sit in my lovey hotel and right outside my door are 2 men on ladders with electric SAWS and DRILLS working on the ceiling. It’s been 2 hours. I’ve already taken a tranquilizer. Hotel mgmt said nothing they can do. Won’t move me to another room. The construction schedule was on the website. I went back to look and it is... small letters at the very bottom of page AFTER u select ur room. I live with and care for my 90 year old mom who is an invalid and has dementia. I really needed rest. I just want to cry. I’m so disappointed. I used every bit of savings for this trip because I was so stressed out. EXPEDIA PLEASE MAKE IT EASIER FOR US TO KNOW WHEN AN ESTABLISHMENT IS UNDERGOING CONSTRUCTION !!! Not everyone is loaded and can take a few vacations a year!! I’m just screwed and I’m so depressed.

I booked a flight through Expedia and bought insurance for changing flight dates. when it was time to change, I had to call the airline and pay for changing it, then now I have to call Expedia again to get my money. What’s the point of Expedia if I have to do that. Next time just go to the airline directly and skip the middle man. Expedia is useless and a pain to deal with!!!

Expedia used to be my go-to for travel but no more. I tried to get a flight canceled but neither Expedia or the airline was helpful. Even though I had total protection plan with this airfare, customer service was absolute crap. Now that I canceled another protection plan for another flight, I can’t get that refunded? Expedia keeps the money even though the flight is no longer covered? What’s that all about, huh?

They directed us to Payless Car Rentals in LAX saying we could pay cash, debit or credit. It wasnt until we were at the rental place that they informed us that we needed a credit card! as first time users this was devastating as we were planning to use the car to drive up north to drop off our eldest for college. Major set back in plans!! They need to stress important information so this does not happen to other first time car renters!!

1) I cannot book multiple hotel rooms in a single reservation through the app. 2) I cannot search vacation rentals through the app, only the website. 3) The website let me know that a certain reservation could only be canceled via the property manager. The app, however, let me cancel through Expedia directly. Only problem is...when I canceled through the app, the property manager was not notified and therefore did not process my refund! I called Expedia customer support, they told me I had to call the property manager directly to notify them of the cancellation. In those few extra days, had I missed the free cancellation period - I may not have received my VERY $$$ refund! 4) cannot view transaction history through the app 5) the app layout is much more aesthetically pleasing than the website

On my recent trip to Victoria, BC, I was having difficulty booking my hotel (Marriott Inner Harbour) on your site so I finally called your CS to assist. As we were wrapping up payment info, I told her I had few points I wanted to apply towards my stay and she said I couldn’t because she was doing it. If I booked it thru the app, then I could apply my points!! I told her, I called her because I WASN’T able to and why I finally called, before the rooms weren’t available. She tells if if I want to apply my points I’d have to go back to the app to book it myself 😤 This is ridiculous!! I just booked another hotel stay in Japan...on my app. Didn’t get directed to anywhere I could apply my points. What’s up with this???!

Always read the reviews!! This app is the worst. A family member passed away and I needed a flight, Expedia came up so I thought the price was fair and tried to book the flight. When I put in all my info and clicked on complete booking, it kept saying there was a problem and to try again. EVERY TIME I HIT THAT BUTTON IT CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD!!!! Now I have to borrow the money to book a new flight and wait 14 days for the charges to be reversed. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER

Can’t believe because I left one letter out of my email address they can not put my itinerary into my mobile app under my trips. They had to email me my itinerary and I have to print it out and carry that around with me because on their end they can’t transfer it into the app so I can use it on my phone! LOL never will book another trip through this one again I feel like I’m back in the days when there was a dial up modem with AOL!

Now the payment page is so slow, and I can no longer use Apple Pay. Expedia is bad with so many things especially customer service but at least the app used to be spectacular. Now the checkout page on the app is a piece of loaded web page, which is so slow and broken. The built in Apple Pay option is gone, which is a big inconvenience when you don’t have your credit card info with you. Shame on you.

This app is not worthy of one star. It is the worst of the worst, of the WORST. Also, this is the first time I’ve felt compelled to write a bad review. I’ve been traveling through Asia and not once have my hotel reservations been seamless. The first night— okay people make mistakes... our reservation wasn’t in the system. The person who had to resolve the issue for us was the hotel’s manager, not Expedia, who after seeing us making a scene past midnight, decided to contact a completely different hotel in order to place us in there since even though we had reserved the rooms and had already paid for them— they were not available. Reminds me of that one episode of Seinfield and the rental car... only I’m not laughing but crying! On the second night my partners and I found ourselves stranded in the mammoth metropolis of Beijing at night because the address on the Expedia listing was wrong— we did not misread it! There simply was no Super 8 hotel on that street, or at that address, or anywhere nearby. So we had to walk for miles and miles, dragging our heavy baggage all over the center of Beijing, trying to find a different hotel. It was impossible to grab a taxi at that time of night, and if it weren’t because of a Good Samaritan who spoke Spanish and told us how to take the subway to a different hotel, I’m pretty sure we would have had to spend the night in the streets, like vagabond dogs. When we finally arrived at our new hotel it was four times as much as what we paid for through the app... and this is the day that we still haven’t gotten reimbursed for those charges. We were soaked in sweat, hungry, cranky as hell, and oh so dismally tired... a hellish experience. But dear traveler, wait, it gets better! Then we traveled to Yancheng, and we decided to book a five-star hotel to alleviate the discomfort we had been feeling since our odyssey in Beijing... but surprise surprise! You guessed it. They messed up our reservation once again... and we had to make another scene, and spend two hours in an international phone call with Expedia to fix the problem so that the hotel could honor our reservation, which was already paid for. Communication was almost impossible since none of the Expedia reps could speak Chinese. They should really staff for Asia since so many people in the world speak Mandarin. Finally I don’t know if it was the hotel that didn’t want us in the lobby souring up the place, or if they really were able to confirm our reservation... but we were finally able to check in. By that time the luxuries like the Spa were closed... so there it went down the drain... our sweet five-star comfort. Traveling friends, dear assistants, hated enemies, I urge you to avoid this app at all costs, unless you are willing to suffer, get fired, or sleep in the comfortable filth of Beijing’s concrete sidewalks. You’ve been warned!

I only use Expedia after an unfortunate incident with a Hotel we had booked. They had over booked and many people were stuck without a place to stay. Expedia search for a place for us in the area and found the only room left for the night in a very nice hotel. They made our potentially horrible night a simple inconvenience. Thanks to a Expedia were completed our weekend trip and had a great time. Thank you Expedia!!

Have used Expedia time n time again bc of their excellent bundled packages which are a great steal compared to other websites. Their insurance policy is excellent for flight refund cancellations.

Update to my review based on the app: Why can’t I share this to my friends? Almost every app has this ability. Should I just use the mobile site of Expedia so I can show my friends a room? At least the share option is not obvious. Previous review: I had a really bad experience at an Airbnb and it was midnight. I was able to book a hotel through this app that accepted 24 hour check-ins and within 15 minutes my reservation was confirmed. The app made a decent place easy to find in a short amount of time. I filtered how many stars I wanted and the location. I’ll be using this from now on instead of Airbnb.

Expedia just wiped out all my data and could never restore it. My flights hotels everything. I signed out and back in and it said No Reservations. Then it asked me to manually add any I had made myself. Wow. It has been terribly frustrating and I must say I am glad Imhad TripIt tomsave some of the data. Wish I had saved all of it in TripIt. I just assumed I could use The Expedia app through which Imbooked my flight and hotels. Getting my reservations confirmed to go home was a nightmare.

I always use Expedia maybe for 10 years plus now for personal and business. I never had any issues with them. The only wish for hotel booking is to consider points in any hotels like Marriot, Hilton etc because when I check in and told hotels receptionist that my booking is through Expedia, they don't add points in my Hilton Honors or Marriot Rewards because my booking is through Expedia. I hope Expedia can do something about it. However, airlines booking through Expedia rewards points for mileage is not a problem at all. Any airlines will add the mileage. Please assess this concern. I rarely write reviews but this app has so many shortcomings that it is ridiculous for a company like Expedia to be putting it out there. it is so limited in functionality that makes it useless for a regular user for example you cannot see your trip histories you cannot see your favorite hotels it has such a basic set of functions that it just baffles my mind why in the world with a company at this Caleb Expedia put out such a handicapped app? What hoops do we have to jump through to get them? I am CONSTANTLY emailed about all the “today only!!” In-app coupons. Can they be found, anywhere??? Sure, go to the regular website, you’ll see them, but they are only in-app...and NO CODES are given (tho you are told to use the code). Really, make this more user friendly on the coupons, a little transparency would be appreciated.

When we travel as a family, this app will not allow me to specify how many rooms I want. It’s extremely annoying. I have an 18 yr old son, and my current wife is not his mother, so obviously we cannot sleep in the same room. I have to go to the web page to book the rooms, therefore I lose some of the advantages of using the app. I am sure I am not the first to mention this. Get your finger out Expedia.

Expedia lost my entire booking (which took me hours of work.) Expedia was not blazingly easy to use, and apparently STILL has some bugs (I forget some of the little, time-consuming bugs now—apologies—but, suffice it to say, I’d think more “beta testing” is in order.) I think where stuff went haywire and all my work—even to the point of pushing the “buy” button—was lost, was when I tried to create a password, but Expedia recognized me from several years previous—and Expedia could not combine the old customer & the new customer. I now can sign-in, an Expedia knows my name—but I don’t have a trip.

I am being charged over $800-even with travel insurance- by EXPEDIA who sided with the ZALANTA HOTEL South Lake Tahoe that I did not cancel my reservation on time. The hotel even contacted me prior to the “pay later date” but EXPEDIA is still charging me $800+ for a one night hotel stay. I spend 2+ hours on two calls with EXPEDIA which included a supervisor and spoke with the ZALANTA Hotel staff including “Michael” five times... with little resolution... each agency kept wanting me to contact the other for hours of wasted time to no avail. Thoroughly Disappointed!!

They don’t know what the website sells or how to help the customer get what was paid for, specifically flight upgrade features purchased with the ticket. No one at Customer Service knew anything about the various “upgrades” offered with the ticket, nor how to claim them once purchased. Customer Service said it would be guaranteed at check-in, however the airline knew nothing about it.

Expedia has a vacation bunddle option to book combination of flights / hotels / rentcars. Be aware that this option will set you on Economic RESTRICTED fare ticket. This is the worse you could To your self if you are with your family since you will be on standby for the flight. EXPEDIA DO NOT TELL YOU THIS. Better to boom separate.

I have used Expedia for several years and have one other bad experience a few years ago. Recently I wanted to add a night to an existing reservation but the room was already sold out for that night. I agreed to change rooms for the last night. Instead the entire reservation was changed to the more expensive room for the entire week. Immediately called back and was told my initial room wasn’t available any longer. I’m still waiting for a response from an administrator and wish for a resolve as I don’t want to spend an entire week with two queen beds.

The app does not automatically book and save trips. It does not interface well with completed itineraries. There’s no instructions on how to add a trip that is not already part of travel history or an upcoming trip. Frustrating to say the least.

I have used Expedia many times but never ever again. I booked a hotel back in April for which I have a confirmation. I happened to log in to look for it today and it wasn’t on the app so I looked for the email. I clicked on the email and lo and behold, my reservation was cancelled. After numerous calls to the hotel and a couple of hours on hold at Expedia, I got nothing. They never notified me of a problem, and they have the nerve to slander me saying my card was declined. Not to be immodest but there is no way that happened and even if it did they still didn’t notify me. Save yourself the aggravation and go with Booking.com.

I have used Expedia to book hotel rooms and all was fine, so I thought I’d use it to book a flight to see my brother. Filled in all the information including credit card... hit next and the price doubled!!! From 480 to 945... and they put a hold on my credit card. Called customer service... they were no help at all.... wanted to know why I was not told about the price change prior to the hold on my account?? No explanation. Taking my business to Orbitz.

I have downloaded this app more than once only to delete it. The app is frustrating it is more user-friendly to use Expedia without the downloaded app. I decided to give it another try thinking maybe all the bad reviews may have prompted them to re-design and fix the gray screen issue that often happens. I am once again sadly disappointed and will be deleting the app and going through Expedia through my Google.

Lets start off by saying, I will be using all of my social media outlets and my business to push that people stop using Expedia. I was living a golf tournament, which was held in Miami and wasnt ready to go home so i said ill stay out one more day. I booked a room at Extended Stay Cruisport Fort Lauderdale but some how the date month was set for a couple month in advance and i didnt find that out until i got to the hotel. Long story short, instead of callin expedia right away and havin them right to cancel, i booked another room on the spot and said i cancel the old one later. Later came and i found out that i couldnt cancel. So i tried to get the to give me a room at an earlier date. They told me(in so many words) that they’ll only cancel the room if i booked a new reservation at a higher price, which i dont think is fair

Booked flights to Orlando for two folks. Found out we couldn’t sit together UNTIL CHECKING IN on the AIRLINES APP. Up-charge of at least $27 per person per leg $113 extra. Coming home we were booked on Spirit Airlines (never flew on it before) Did not know you had to pay for a CARRY ON until we CHECKED IN on the AIRLINE APP. $82 extra. So our already priced tickets of $300 each were almost matched in unknown fees. This app is useless for information. Do your homework and book independently. BTW Spirit Rep mentioned that bags WHILE BOOKING are $20 each.

Hotel and Expedia Booking Agent agreed to refund an upcoming stay. I was sent an email confirming that. I never received my money back. When I enquired I was told that I needed to respond to that last email which would “initiate the transaction”, so while everyone agreed to refund me I won’t be getting one because of that. Thanks. You have lost my business over $185. But I’m sure my money doesn’t matter to you at the end of the day.

This is my 1st and last time using this app, yesterday I was booking a hotel room and while I was in the process I received a pop up for additional off if I used this app. So I finished my order using the app and no discount was given and when I contacted Customer Service after speaking with someone for 30 minutes I gave up. I could had used Priceline name your own price and got a better price.

I have used Expedia for small things, like hotels, in the past with no problems, so I trusted them with the trip of a lifetime-BAD choice! I went in to the site and plugged in that I wanted to leave Charlotte, NC and fly to Port Hardy, British Columbia, Canada. I watched the site for a while to hit the ‘sweet spot’ on the price. I booked it and everything went ok on the way there. There was one time we had to run to the next gate, which, looking back, should have been the first sign that something was up. One the day we were supposed to return, we got onto our first flight and we knew we had a one hour layover before taking the next. Needless to say, we did not make our connecting flight. There was no way we were ever going to make the connecting flight. We had to take a shuttle, go through security again and go through customs. Being UNfrequent travelers, we did not know we had to do all this. Expedia should never have allowed the connecting flight to be a choice unless it was possible to actually MAKE the next flight! They told me that it was not Expedia’s fault that it happened because I made two itineraries. Uh, no I didn’t! I typed in Charlotte to Port Hardy, not Charlotte to Vancouver and then Vancouver to Port Hardy. They chose to make it into 2 itineraries. They are saying the 2 itineraries is the reason a flag or warning did not pop up that the one hour layover would not be enough. We ended up having to pay $518 for a hotel. They did give us $100 off on the hotel, but to me that just shows they know they screwed up. They should have paid the whole cost of the hotel. Also they tried to say that we would have to pay over $400 a person to have tickets reissued for the next day! Wrong! We went up to Delta and took care of it ourselves at no extra cost. It doesn’t make up for the fact that we ended up arriving home one day later than expected and ruined the plans we had when we arrived home. I will NOT use Expedia in the future and I will warn others not to use it either.

Whenever you need to cancel or change it is impossible to do thru the app. You have to call customer service and then they call whatever service provider, even if you already spoke with your desired service. Never again, will I book using Expedia, we are better off speaking with our desired service provider directly. If you try to speak with them directly and you booked thru Expedia you will suffer. Contractually, service Provider has to have you go thru Expedia. However, if you cancel your Expedia reservation and then contact your hotel, airline, car rental directly you will get a thousand times better service. One should NEVER book thru Expedia ever, call your service provider directly and tell they this was price you found on Expedia. They will match it and thank you for not booking thru Ex and take better care of you.

This app allows you to see what trips you have taken. The hotels you have stayed in and even the reward points you have earned. So why can’t this app or Expedia indicate the credit you have earned from canceling a trip. This app appears to show you only what Expedia wants to remind us the customer.

I like Expedia, and this app is decent overall, but unless I’m missing something there’s no “Share” feature for individual search results. What’s the point of searching for hotels for multiple guests if you can’t send them the hotels you’re finding? This is a very, very basic function and it seems like a huge oversight not to include that.

I use Expedia all the time for trips. I have yet to figure out how to get rewards points. I saw the review about problems getting/redeeming points. I have called numerous times, never spoken to an agent. I get re-routed and ultimately dropped call.

I have never wrote any review and always try to be nice to all app. However, I cannot stand that I cannot get a refund of hotel even I have cancelled it one month before with a “get full refund when cancel before three days policy”. After half a month of investigation and connecting with hotel, Expedia just decide to let me to suffer from their or the hotels mistake. So dissatisfied and disappointed. BTW I am a gold membership which means I have spent a decent money inside. It’s so upset me that I would no longer support this trashy application.

I Booked a flight for me and my husband and I was over charged by $252.80 and I called and ask why and the agent tells me that by the time I booked the price had change. So I canceled my flights now they tell me I have to wait 7 business days for a refund. Why do I have to wait 7 days if it only took you 2 seconds to take my money plus over charge me. And get overdraft by my bank. Now I have to wait another week to book another flight preferably direct for the airline. And know what I’m paying for. I will never use this app again. Buyers Beware!!!

This is a terrible app. I created an account put in my email created a password. When I entered my itinerary number and went to check my itinerary I get the message that I have no upcoming trips. I didn’t get the message to log into my account again. I deleted and re-loaded the app and the same thing happened again. Terrible app don’t use it.

Tl;dr - contacting support through the message option in app or website doesn’t work, phone customer service is unhelpful and they never get back to you. Scam! Background: I had an issue with my car rental in a different country where the rental agency did not honor the expedia booking because I had booked the car for one more day than I needed it , they forced me to make a new booking and pay again. At the time I could not contact Expedia as I did not have working phone service in this country so I ended up making a new booking. I have been trying to contact Expedia by their in app message option, website message option but they never got back to me. When I called them they had no trace of the messages that were sent through the website and app so it clearly doesn’t work and all messages just disappear into ether. Phone support has been unhelpful, I called them 2 days ago for the $560 refund of the original booking amount, they bounced me around a couple of times, finally said they will try to negotiate some refund with the rental company and get back to me in 48 hours. Not only did they not get back to me, I have received no confirmation of even a ticket being created. Even after spending $10k on travel this year through expedia, I have received horrible customer service. Needless to say, I’m never using it again and taking my business elsewhere.

I tried to book plane tickets through this app. The price it said is $122, but after I input my information, it doubles the price! So I click out of the payment page and tried the same trip on a different date, and it does the same thing!!!!! JUST POST THE RIGHT PRICE FOR GODS SAKE INSTEAD OF WASTING MY TIME!!!!!!!!!!

I had a really bad experience at an Airbnb and it was midnight. I was able to book a hotel through this app that accepted 24 hour check-ins and within 15 minutes my reservation was confirmed. The app made a decent place easy to find in a short amount of time. I filtered how many stars I wanted and the location. I’ll be using this from now on instead of Airbnb.

Very easy to use to BOOK reservations! They take your money quite readily. BUT !!! ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE if (as in my case) you must cancel an activity because the activity isn’t available on the date you have already PAID FOR! You get the select 1 .... select 2 ... select ... when you select one of the options, connect with an “agent” who barely speaks English, and who transfers you BACK to the recording “select an option”. WHATS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

Booking through Expedia is fast and easy. I don’t need to worry about the different type of currently while booking abroad. Moreover, they are very helpful. There was one time that my flight was transit flight was cancelled, the airline did help nothing. I booked the trip through Expedia and they stepped in to make a solution for me. I use this app from time to time and it’s a pretty easy going experience. I’ve booked trips to Hawaii and even stay-cations using Expedia. Customer service is decent. One time I had to change a reservation and they were pretty helpful and took care of me.

Expedia made my trip to the Dominican Republic so easy! Much better than expected treatment! Felt like VIP every time in the presence of Expedia staff. Yoel, our Expedia concierge at Bavarro Princess, was awesome! Super friendly n seemed very happy to be there for us! He had us all taken care of before we knew what was going on! Very disappointed that I paid $800+ for 2 seats and they were separated. Luckily a friend passenger switched seats with one of us so we were able to sit together. But it’s only common sense if you’re buying 2 tickets leaving for the same destination at the same time. They’d be traveling together. So even purchasing these expensive tickets months in advance doesn’t guarantee you sit together. Very big disappointment!!

The app is ok but I feel like you can do more on the web site. But basically I biked a hotel and ended up finding it cheaper on trivago so I call Expedia and got as far as them telling me the would cancel my trip so I could book through trivago. Only reason I want to keep using Expedia is because the rewards points I’ve been saving. So we will see how they handle it but most likely won’t be using Expedia anymore.

I used Expedia frequently to book hotels for travel. The last trip, there was a booking error. The hotel caught it, the Expedia rep insisted the hotel was wrong. I ended up without a room. They booked me at another hotel at a much higher rate, assuring me I’d get a refund. Hours + hours on the phone later (no kidding, at least 6 hours, 2 1/2 hours the last call) with documentation & statements from the hotel I still didn’t get what I was promised. We all make mistakes, but Expedias inability to follow through and make it right assures I will never ever use them again and I will let everyone know about their poor service.

I just booked a non-refundable hotel stay at the luxurious Millennium Hotel in NYC. I mentioned it to my sister who said she would LOVE to join me....so....wouldn’t you know, Expedia representative -Kurt- jumped in and contacted the Hotel reservation clerk himself, David, and managed to have the change fee waived while assuring me that they would be able to accommodate my sweet sister! I am thrilled and couldn’t be more pleased. The Millennium is my new “Waldorf Astoria” and I will let everyone know about my first hand experience with The Millennium once I enjoy my trip in a few weeks!

Long story short, I was ripped off $800 by Expedia and their lack of transparency and terrible customer service. Booked a last minute trip to SF to end the summer. Found fares for $400 for 2 tickets - 5 left. Selected said tickets and chose to book a rental car as well. Checking out, the fares doubled and I figured it was a glitch. Booked the tickets thinking it could be rectified by customer service. Day before flight, customer service says they can clearly see where the prices were $400 each by video surveillance- they have a record of all this. After an hour on the phone w cs, they cannot come to a resolution until 48 hours after my flight... so I’m screwed no matter what. Cannot rebook the day before and they conveniently denied my appeals with NO pricing transparency to boot. Customer service and corporate totally deny my request for the overcharged $800. I’m NEVER using this service again! Buyers beware at own risk!

I put flight reservations on 24 hour hold. I cancelled before the time limit. During that time, Expedia charged my card which was a $10,000 charge. When I tried to book another flight I realized what had happened. I called Expedia and explained what had happened. They tried to blame it on the airline. I explained that they were the only one in communication with the airline. I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone talking to a supervisor. I finally got the credit back to my account but in the mean time I could not charge my flight to that same card d it e to my set limit. BEWARE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND YOU WILL BE UNAWARE AND YOU HAVE TO FIGHT THEM TO GET IT BACK.

I used Expedia last year to book my car, hotel as well as my flight to Puerto Rico and I loved it I can’t complain. However this year I decided to go over my brother in law who loves to book through the flight Airlines themselves to avoid problems and decided to book through Expedia. I looked for the flights I wanted and called the agent to inform what flight information I was interested in. They were very nice, I also confirmed that my flight was from August 21 to Orlando and coming back on the 27th I informed I’m going with family and we rented a villa and the lady helped me find the tickets got my information and I paid. I quickly glanced at the confirmation email and I though everything was great. Well a couple a days ago I look at the flight to print out the information and have realized and error was made. Instead of the 27th on the return ticket we have the 28th. When I called the agent in Expedia they told me there was nothing they can do and a fee of 200 per ticket was going to apply if we did any changes. Now I’m in Florida and the room that we have at the villa is up to the 27th. On the 27th we will have to find another hotel for me and my 2 children so we can spend one night. This is not easy to do. I’m not happy. I think next time I will listen to my brother in law.

Where to begin, first off I was going through Expedia to book airplane tickets for a trip to Miami. Okay first off booking the tickets is easy and quick. My problem is not there but going through the app the transaction wouldn’t go through but look at my account and they took the money out of my account. Smh, called them immediately and they tell me they don’t see anything on my Expedia account. I’m like you should cause there was a debit against my account multiple times. So to speed this up, argued with some agent for an hour on it coming out of my account. And that my bank can’t release the funds unless they sent me a letterhead and they refused to help me. I was like okay so since y’all took the money out can I just get y’all to confirm the plane tickets then and she stated no I had to do a new order and be charged again. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was placed on hold for an hour. The lady came back on the phone just to say she is getting me a supervisor and still no supervisor 30 minutes later. I’m all the way screwed right now and stuck two extra days cause of Expedia this is an outrage.

A year ago with an expedia Gold membership, decided to purchase 2 tickets from Miami to Ghana. Missed leading informaron in the add, I ended up paying in luggage more than the ticket value. Wrote cust.service received no answer. I just stop using the app and found out that is much less expensive, better boarding priorities , luggage allowance and found better deals purchasing directly from airlines or hopper. Today, one year later, to use the points I had, searched hotels in Budapest and found a great deal of $57 a night using points in a good hotel, booked 2 nights and the receipt came for $278!!! Not what I picked, once again not what the app offered as prices for the stay!! Missed leading information.. once again! Based on my experience with Expedia.. DO NOT TRUST INFORMATION IN THIS APP!! Will not use again... EVER!

Had an issue booking a room while traveling late night in the middle of nowhere Nebraska, and Expedia customer support helped me through my problem of having double booked a room while I was able to continue to drive to my destination. They provided me with excellent customer service, and I was happy with their concern, help. Only issue I have is that when traveling, I did encounter an issue where Expedia overbooked a hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska but the hotel was still able to accommodate my stay.

Expedia charged for a hotel room for 2 nights that I didn’t stay in after I made a reservation at 7pm and tried to cancel after only 15 minutes and realizing (in my almost a 30 minute drive in Lyft)that this hotel was not near the airport as requested. First call to the hotel- ECONOLODGE in Conway, SC to inform the desk receptionist that GOOGLE sent me too far from the airport and that this room was not convenient - she charged my cards (which EXPEDIA guarantees that you won’t be charged until check-in) Expedia has ALL foreign customer service representatives that you can not understand that reads off a script! 1st call to Expedia the CSA (reading a script) stated that they apologize for this and that they will be in contact with the general manager for my refund. Needless to say- they sent me a email stating that the hotel is not refunding my money on this room that - 1st I never made it to, 2nd I didn’t book for two days, and last I didn’t sleep at! WARNING-This is not a legitimate business- this is a OVERSEAS SCAM!!

So I have had the app for a long time, but never actually used it to book any trips or excursions from it. I mainly used it for keeping up with and managing my trips. I attempted to book flights this time and find that there is an issue with selecting anything with radio buttons or check boxes. I could not change the default options if I wanted too. I attempted this on two different iPhones and an android tablet and all failed to select radio buttons and check boxes. I could not complete my check out in the app because of this issue. I had to run the site from a browser to complete.

Even if you have airlines miles and an account, to simply book a seat on a flight, it’s a no-go on this app after 24 hours. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. TERRIBLE APP. There are so many newer, up to real life standards, that are immensely better. Don’t use Expedia unless you life depends on it and also, you get no points unless you travel for a legit living. Not worth it. I will never use this app again. Screwed me when my dad died and didn’t even care. Done.

Booking the hotel was no trouble but I booked a round trip plane through this app, and none of it made sense. They gave me a delta plane with a carry on going to but coming back they gave me united airlines. That wasn’t the problem, the problem was that my plane ticket going back home didn’t have carry on bags. How does that make sense, as a travel agency or whatever this is, it would’ve been more convenient to have two planes with the same amenities such as carry on going both ways. I had to spend an extra 50 that I didn’t not have to pay for my bags to return home to me.

I used to like Expedia. It is certainly convenient to see lots of hotel choices in one location. However I continue to hear phrases such as “third party service” at hotels that is their excuse not to honor my reservation accurately. Sorry Expedia, when I reserve a King room and get stuck with a double because “third party services” are based on availability and we come last, my husband is not happy which means I am not happy. I will be booking directly through the hotel in the future.

My wife and I booked a room at a lovely Bed & Breakfast. When we reviewed the pictures we saw cats in the rooms. We spoke to the owner about cat allergies who insisted their 3 cats were only there for the pictures. The owner said the cats have the run of the hotel but will not be allowed in our room. I tried to explain to the owner that it isn’t about our proximity to the cat, but the proximity to cat hair that triggers the allergies. The owner wasn’t buying it and said there wouldn’t be any refunds (27 days out from reservation). Expedia called on our behalf. The owner hung up on the Expedia Representative. Expedia agreed with us and refunded our money. Thanks Expedia!

I am going to speak about the app first, I find it difficult to get any relevant information off of and I accidentally booked one trip with another email address and although I could pull it up in the app- it wouldn’t save it to my trips. Now onto customer service- I booked a trip and had to cancel within the allowable 24 hour period due to a medical emergency in my family. My dad had to have emergency brain surgery. When I called to ask why I was issued a credit instead of a refund(which if you get a credit, the airline charges you 200 to rebook). Expedia customer service put me on hold for over THREE hours. They would call back when the line would disconnect and tell me the same thing- they were calling the airline. It was never resolved. I will never use this company again and neither will anyone in my family.

I bought a flight with cancelation insurance totaling about 400 dollars. I had to cancel a few days before because of a family emergency. I call Expedia to talk about my options, should I cancel or postpone the flight. The man on the phone is basically a robot repeating the same things and decides to make the decision for me to cancel my flight. I told him I wanted to explore options, NOT CANCEL YET, he says it’s too late now he canceled already and I have to call the insurance company. Then he gave me the number to file a claim to get my money back and of course that was denied. So now I don’t get my money back or a flight. Thanks Expedia 🙄

I booked a multi-leg trip Detroit-Dallas-Denver-Detroit. Only needed hotel and car in Denver, app would not allow this on the partial leg. The fun begins when I have to move up the leg to Denver from Dallas one day. Thinking that change itinerary would be simple, I selected the changes. What fresh hell did I get myself into?!! Not only did I have the new cost to Denver. I also got a penalty assessed, and my return to Detroit cancelled because they were ‘linked’ on the ticket. Rebooking the same return flight Denver to Detroit same seat, same airline cost $200 penalty but an additional $250!! Plus I had $50 for my window seat and $35 for a carryon ... Gee thanx Expedia- what real function do you play? What good is using an itinerary change button if it really does nothing- last night 3 hrs on the phone to someone that did not help, a supervisor that made it worse telling me that really there is nothing she could do. Called this morning just to make sure I got this debacle straightened out to another clueless, insulting Expedia Support staff. Never never never use this app or Expedia again!!

After 2 and 1/2 hours on the phone with a hard to understand agent (heavy Indian or Pakistani ‘agent’ I was unable to cancel an accidentally booked night at a hotel. Got an email three days later telling me that the hotel would not allow a reimbursement. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Going back to Travelocity or somebody new. Should have read all these reviews before booking with Expedia.

I’ve used Expedia for many years and have been generally satisfied. I decided to book a hotel through the app - it said Member Price of $94 - I immediately tried to book for one night near SeaTac. I got an error responses that said try again; eventually, my booking finally went through. Later, when I looked at my email confirmation, I was charged $174, not $94. No warning of a price change on the app! It was a no refundable booking. Be very careful using Expedia!

I made a change to my reservation to add one more night on the end of my stay at least 2 weeks prior to my stay. This was never communicated to the Hilton Garden Inn. The hotel was already at negative 2 rooms for that extra night so we had no room available and had to pack up. Luckily we found another hotel for the night on our own but I will be deleting the Expedia app and account. Book direct!!!

I can’t fee confirmation, I can’t take any action from this app. Why are you forcing me to use this when k want to view all my information on your regular site. Absolutely insane they if someone shares the itinerary with you, you can’t even see any important information related to your flight - like say a confirmation number or record locator. I’m so upset with Expedia! When I arrived at my motel near Garden of the Gods CO they had no reservation book by me on Expedia and I had a reservation number. Then I get to Glenwood Springs CO and the had my paid reservation through Expedia but the place was a dump and the room had blood on the bedskirts. Disgusting! I couldn’t get a refund because I booked through Expedia. I ended up losing that money. I got a beautiful clean room cheaper just across the street. I’m never using Expedia again or refer anyone!!

The price guarantee is a crock. I booked a roundtrip and paid for the “Guarantee”, when I found a price for more than $50 lower per ticket I contacted customer service. Since I found the lower price on Orbit and not using Expedia’s “Check Rate” they said I was not eligible for the “guarantee”. Expedia has no self interest in telling you if there is a lower price somewhere other than their site. If you use Expedia don't pay extra for bogus promises.

I booked by mistake through expedia in the morning. Including I paid an insurance for canceation with refund. A few hours later that same date I realized a booked the wrong date therefore I called them to cancel it. They denied the cancellation and conversed with the hotel. The hotel also denied to cancel the reservation. Non of both sides help me and gave me my $95 dollars back so I lost money. They are completely incompetent and have a lot of policies so you lose your money. Dont you Expedia for anything they trick you and if you made a mistake or you want to cancel YOU JUST LOST YOUR MONEY

I took the advice of a friend and booked my trip through Expedia. Big mistake! And I blame myself for not checking the reviews first. It looks like others have experienced the same issues. If there are no hiccups, you will be okay with their (average) services; but if you have any issues, you’re screwed. They booked my Versailles tour and things were a mess - I was never picked up to my tour. I reached out to Expedia and they have yet to respond. The rep I spoke with with extremely unhelpful and kept making excuses. Will be using another app next time.

Recently stayed at a quality inn, Inglewood CA. Thought I had dialed the number for that specific Qual. Inn, had actually dialed Expedia. Point is, I specified that to the agent and he never once indicated I was talking to Expedia. The rate was higher than advertised, the hotel was sub-par. I submitted a review to Expedia and it was rejected 4 times. No profanity used, just a bad review. I guess they just reject all negative reviews! I WILL NOT USE EXPEDIA AGAIN

I have never had the experience I had with the reps at Expedia. It was the most horrible experience ever and they were rude and seemed liked they operated on a script that didn’t allow them to use their own judgement. When I asked for the corporate contact number they provided me with an incorrect number and stated they couldn’t provide me with it. I will never use them again

I made a reservation to a hotel that was marked as dog friendly. When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed the hotel could not take dogs. Finally the hotel was nice enough to accommodate, but experia did not want to cancel, modify, or fix the problem they caused. Very irresponsible and borderline dishonesty. It used to be a good service.

The app is just ok. For vacation planning, I’d suggest going to their traditional website on a PC/MAC, where there are more choices and more ways to customize your trip. When it comes to iOS (iPhone and iPad), there seems to be too many limitations. Even when accessing their website through an iPhone or iPad, there seems to be limitations. With that being said, the app is great for business travel, flights only or when the area of the desired hotel destination is specific for the booking (or when there is previous knowledge of where you are going).

I recently booked two cruises. On my first try it kept telling me my password was wrong (and it wasn’t) and wouldn’t recognize my email as a log in so I made a new account to get my cruise booked ASAP. Not 5 minutes later I was able to log on to my first account with no issues. I contacted Expedia and asked to merge the accounts so I could combine my points for the over $4k I spent. They refused. They said I will just have to use the points separately or lose them. I also was told I had a certain amount of on board credit and ended up not having the amount they promised. So disappointed.

My experience with Expedia was great ! The agent, Cristina went above and beyond to find me accommodations for my stay in California. My last stay the hotel had no record of my reservation. That has happened more than once. I had to stay in a room unlike what I ordered. I received an email to rate the hotel and the link took me to a site that was so incomplete I could not rate it. If I could rate 0 to this app there is a bad service they only steal your time and money they show a price on airlines tickets but it charger more I was booking a family flights vacation I called them to get an explanation what happened why they took my money from my card and I didn’t receive any email or itinerary now the money is pending I won’t get back in two to three business day to call my bank I called my bank they said the Expedia need to release they money so I can get the money available to used again but the answer it’s your fault trying to used your card again your money is pending we didn’t take from your card They are not helpful at all and I asked them why they do that showing different prices and charging more they said it’s not us is the app that change depend on the city I wouldn’t recommend this app at all

After taking a solo trip to Japan I could not imagine making it through that country without this app. Finding a hotel or hostel each night was a breeze and I saved money too. I will continue to use this app and recommend it to everyone I know.

I am trying to submit a request for a price of an hotel I reserved through Expedia and it now has more than $100 difference. After hours in the phone they say write a form and submitted . Very difficult to find it but I did but when I tried to submit it it says : oops we have difficulty .... bla bla bla I couldn’t do it. I was a regular user of Expedia but this is my last time ever.

We used my card to hold the room and wanted to my husband’s card when we arrived at our hotel. We were staying for 2 nights. The hotel is at fault for not doing what we asked. The hotel charged both cards instead of putting 2 nights on one card. I called Expedia to see if they could change the payment with the hotel and was told that the customer service rep had called the hotel and she assured us that this charge was not going through on my card. She promised us that the charge was going through on my husband’s card. It was a bald faced lie. Now Im on vacation and my bank has a charge on my card that cannot be paid because the money was on my husband’s card. I can’t do anything about it.

Forget any thought of kindness and appreciation for customers when you call Expedia customer service in the USA and UK. But this review is for the app—-it too, is subpar. Can’t do multi-City searches. (I haven’t found?) can’t search bundles with varying dates (I haven’t found) and overall, it’s kind of no reason to use the app unless just doing a straight search, that makes you start from the beginning if you want to change a portion of your current search. Thumbs down across the board here.

We have booked tons of trips through Expedia. Tons! Between my fiancé and myself. We actually were getting ready to plan two more in October and December through them but never again will that happen. We booked a trip to Tinley Park IL to see a band. We chose non refundable because first of all my fiancé had driven 800 miles to see this band and considering the were so much closer this time we were not missing it. Also, so many of our friends are fans that if an emergency came up and we couldn’t make it our friends would happily buy the trip from us. Well, last week I get an email. The concert is cancelled. We were devastated. We would never go to Tinley Park IL for any other reason. But I figured there had to be some way around losing all this money for the room because there was no way we were going to waste money spending a weekend in this city for no reason now. So I reached out to Expedia. They claimed they called the hotel but the manager declined. That wasn’t true. The hotel actually told me since I booked through Expedia it’s as simple as them agreeing to cancel but good luck because they deal with this weekly. So I thought maybe if I ask to just still use Expedia but ask if I could book another hotel in an actual city we would like to visit even if it meant it was more expensive maybe they would go for that. No. Basically it’s a cut and dry, they do not care what your situation is or even care to hear your recommendation it’s just not happening. No more Expedia for us.

The young French guy at reception as that attitude you get in Paris cold not welcoming and not helping. Be aware rooms at guaranty only at 4pm. Most of people has to wait for their room. At 224$ a night that Motel room not hotel room is quite expensing specially if you add the customer service...

The iPhone app doesn’t allow a search based on hotel rooms that have handicapped accessibility. The regular Expedia.com website has that search option, so should the app.

I tried to book a flight for me and my partner. It wouldn’t let me buy the tickets. For some reason it wouldn’t let me enter the 2nd passenger information. Then it wouldn’t process. The next time I went to buy the tickets, an hour later, they went up 30 bucks. What a bunch of BS. I looked again just now, 8 hrs later and they are 80 dollars more. What a scam. They wait to know what you want, then they up the price.

Reserved a cruise with Expedia, we are about to leave. Called them about our free gift items only to be told that we needed to pay with Master card to receive free rewards. They never mentioned. And we missed the exemption date. Not help full at all. Will not use Expedia again

Problem #1 when trying to cancel my flights expedia asked me to call directly to the Spirit airlines even though they were the ones collecting my money. Problem#2 when calling Spirit airlines they said I didn’t purchase any insurance even though I did, and Expedia confirmed it through my itinerary. So spirit airlines asked me to call travel Guard directly. Problem#3 When calling travel guard they said I only purchased insurance for the hotel and they didn’t have any information about flight insurance even though my policy specified for flights and hotel rooms. So yes, they asked me to contact Expedia BACK AGAIN! Problem #4 When calling expedia BACK AGAIN one of the agents told me they would do the refund for me. They acknowledge my insurance and walked me through the process of refund and told me no further actions I needed to do, but wait about 2-3 days. After 5 business days I called back to know my refund whereabouts when they told me the refund was supposed to be done in a whole different way!! all this process of hot potato game took me about a week to finally tell me the partial amount will be refunded in another week!!!

You cannot pull up previous trips. What’s the point of the app then? Very disappointed and will rather use Hotwire in the future. I can easily view previous trips and their associated costs there.

I booked through their website and then found out people were having problems so I was scared at first. The good thing is I didn’t have ANY PROBLEMS what so ever with my flight and tickets/boarding etc etc. the bad thing is that the customer service never got back to me when I emailed them 😓 but other than that, I got what I needed with no hassle so 5 Stars!

I never write reviews. So mad I had to write review tho. Booked a room. Got to location after 10 hours of driving. Get there and hotel says Expedia overbooked. That’s what they normally do and I was the 5th person tonight. In middle of street feeling like a homeless person. Thanks Expedia! Never again. Never IN!! after hours of back and forth between them and the Hotel they credited me $50 so I guess I was only down $200? Thx Expedia.. and the Guy in India on the phone was great. Problem was he’s in India. Gets 2 stars for being pretty good on every other trip but come on $200 is taking food out of my child’s mouth. No recourse unless you can hire 20k in lawyers to recover $200 bucks!

Expedia charges me a higher price then the hotel. This is the second time that has happened. Expedia charged me $48.20 including $42.99 plus $5.21 in taxes. The receipt I got from the hotel says $39.52, $35.25 for the room plus $4.27 tax. What gives?

The customer service was horrible! Also, they won’t make right on paying for your flight insurance unless it’s a medical emergency or death in the family so don’t waste your money purchasing it. They want paperwork as proof too. Which, by the way, they failed to mention when I booked my reservation. I needed to be home a day earlier for business and they refused to re-book my flight even though American had open seats available on the flight the day before so I could come home a day earlier. They wanted me to pay for a new flight home. I won’t book again using Expedia. Ridiculousness.

Moral of the story stick to Priceline or at other site. I got charged twice for the baggage fee and they refused o refund me the $67. I’m one of those people who is faithful, this situation where I spent hours on the phone to get nowhere I’d frustrating and I would rather have the peace of mind that I normally do when I book with Priceline.

First off let me start by saying I did attempt to email Expedia first with my complaint. Their response to me only reiterated that this company does not care about customer satisfaction and does not care to know about the customer’s experience. Long story short here, I reserved a car through Expedia for a Fox Rent A Car at the Tampa Airport location. The final price on Expedia’s confirmation screen listed the total for the rental and taxes and fees. It also listed 2 additional fees that could potentially be charged upon pickup (which didn’t apply to my situation). No where on the screen anywhere did it state that I would be required to put down a $400 deposit to pick up the car. This was incredibly frustrating to find out at 1 AM with my 2 children and a 45 minute drive to our hotel still in front of us. Ultimately I rented my car with another rental company in the airport as I didn’t have 400 extra dollars available to be tied up unexpectedly during my family vacation. Expedia’s response to my feedback is that I should have read the terms and conditions (so click on a link to read the fine fine print) in order to learn of this large REQUIRED deposit and then ended their email by stating that at least my trip didn’t incur any extra expenses. So they blamed me for not knowing that their were going to be fees in addition to the ones Expedia so kindly listed out clear as day for me, and they also found it necessary to minimize my complaint. This is the worst company I have dealt with in a long time in regard to falsely advertising pricing (I thought companies moved past tricking customers in this manner). Their absolute disregard toward receiving customer feedback is unreal. Any company who wishes to flourish should focus on what their customers are actually telling them and use it to improve. Not brush it off as if they could do no wrong and sit wondering how a customer could say such things.

Twice in a row I’ve had problems with vacations I’ve booked with this company. Customer service is terrible, unhelpful, and barely fluent in English. Trip protection covers very limited circumstances and reps are unable to do something as simple as change an airline ticket. I will never book a vacation with them again and I definitely do not recommend them.

This stupid app sent me a notification claiming that my flight was delayed by 30 mins. I arrived at the airport and found out that there wasn’t any delay and I only have 5 mins to board the plane. Luckily the crew waited for me to close the gate but I had to run 10 mins like crazy within the airport.

This app works generally well for planning out the cost of your trip. But I found that some choices listed on the website were not showing up on the app. This included some hotels that I’ve been to in the past which show-up on Expedia’s main website, but not in the app. So if use Expedia for trip-planning, it’s best to check the real website to see all possible choices before making your decision.

I am a disabled vet and have a hard time hearing and it is especially hard when I’m on a line to India and talking to a rep with a heavy accent. Hope Expedia decides to stop using overseas call centers like a lot of companies already have and bring them back to the States so their customers don’t have to deal with these heavy accents

Two weeks across country with no transportation or shelter. Read the small print. reservations will NOT be confirmed and are subject to availability. That means I flew across the country to not have a rental car because they are all sold out, despite confirming twice and the same with the hotel. Customer service is not english speaking, no offense to any accent, so good luck trying to figure out if they’re really trying to help or poorly reading a script.

I am on a lengthy road trip half way across the country with my adult daughter and we don’t always know exactly where our next night’s stop will be until a couple of hours before we’re ready to stop. Expedia has come through every time by listing available lodging and expediting my reservation.

I called in for a bundle deal and when I talked to the agent he told me all I need to book the bundle online and he didn’t say anything regard resort fee and when I use the website to buy it while the agent is with me on the phone he never mention it so I assumed that include all the fee for the whole trip and when I get confirmation it didn’t say anything either about the resort fee so I was all sit right? No, I get on my flight and an hour before arriving to hotel I get an email oh by the way you have to pay resort fee which $40 per so that’s a total of $400 because I booked 10 days which to me that was a scam and when I called the ignorant manager didn’t a knowledge that and state that I booked the bundle online and I should have red between the lines to find out the resort fee but I did it over the phone with an agent just so I don’t deal with stuff so they said they will only accommodate this if their agent did the mistake which he did because I went through the whole process with him on the phone and then the ignorant manager was like we can’t do anything and just hang up and I tell you what I’ll never use this app again and I won’t recommend for anyone and not just that I’m going to keep posting all over plus I’m going to creat a case to corporate so they can investigate it and someone have to pay for this resort fee after they wasted a whole day from my paid vac that I paid for waiting on hold for almost 4 hours at a time only to get the rude manager on the phone to tell something one the costumer service said and rudely Hang up on me

So this has happened to me over and over again. With flights and hotels. When you book directly thru Hotels and airlines they can make changes easily to your reservation and if you have any emergencies they even accommodate you despite their cancellation policies! NOT so when you book thru Expedia!! Over and over I have heard from hotels and airlines, sorry we can’t do anything because you booked thru a third party. Friends who booked thru hotel website or called could cancel or make changes, not us!! So then I call Expedia and they give me the run around, holding on the line for a long time, then the nice representative gets back and says to me yes it’s all handled and you will get a confirmation email BUT the email I get is, sorry the hotel wouldn’t cancel! But they WOULD if I didn’t have booked with Expedia because other people in my party were able to but the hotel isn’t dealing w Expedia?! Anyways I am done so this doesn’t happen anymore! My advise: book directly-no third party booking!

I’ve always used Expedia, and I don’t know why!!! Time and time again they continue ruining my reservations. They even send me a confirmation letter and then I get there to hotel to check in and nobody ever knows anything!!! This last time was the topper of them all, I took the family out on vacation in Colorado and we already knew that hotel availability we’re very slim, but we found a room in Colorado Springs and when we got there the lady at the front desk said that my card didn’t go through and they sent me a email stating the issue when this happened!!! I was furious, I looked into my bank statements and showed her that the money was taken from my account and that nothing had been declined nor did I receive an email, come to find out it was Expedia who had their card declined and it was Expedia who received notice of all this and it was Expedia who did nothing about it to secure my room!!! So here it was 12:00 midnight in a place we flew to and then drove another hour and a half just to be told we don’t have a room!!! We are told that there are no available rooms anywhere for a 70 mile radius!!! Needless to say we didn’t get to clean up and lay down until 430am in which we still had to be out of the room at 11am!!! Do you think that expedia would either refund what I paid for or atleast give a coupon for next time??? Nope!!! I will never use this problem filled site again nor would I ever recommend this site to anyone!! They ruined my entire vacation from the point of getting there and I won’t ever get that time back!!! Do yourself a favor and book your vacation through anybody else but Expedia!!!

I agree very terrible service I wouldn’t recommend Expedia to anyone the customer service representative sent me back and forth blaming the Airlines if we booked through Expedia then they should be the ones to help us. Seems to me is all they want is your money. I planned a Norway trip few days back and booked flight tickets from Expedia. They messed up my ticket to Norway and when I called they did not even give me a rescheduled ticket and just said that I have to buy the ticket from the airport with the insane high price. This is what you get even after talking with them constantly for THREE HOURS. So they will charge extra you for “so called Good customer care “ — but if anything wrong happens you are on your own.

Today is Friday the 13th. And yes I can truly admit it has started out as the day from hell, first I book him room I purchased the insurance which states refund if necessary I do some more research into the actual room come to find out the hotel that is labeled as the for Virginia beach resort has bugs in the bed broken head pieces and a plethora of other issues! I called to get my refund and Expedia reaches out to the hotel to hotel states yes we will no longer charge them any type of penalty and they can get their full refund I literally reach out to my bank and my bank has made it very clear that they just needed to receive the funds back in order for me to get those fans they just needed to email the credit union stating they were not charged my card I had to go through multiple representatives and a customer service manager who did not know anything especially Customer Service his name was Marvin C and his rep ID was 13456874684214574 yes I’m going to put this sorry excuse for a manager and the rest of this team and this company out in the open I will never do business with this company again #StopUsingSouthAmericas#PleaseUseAmericanCallCenters

I have used this app multiple times and have had all types of issues that have completely ruined planned trips. The bundle package deal that we did takes the cake! For my boyfriends birthday we planned a trip and decided to go with the flight, room & car rental deal. This was our first time ever doing this so we decided to allow a customer rep to help us with the entire process. Turns out she was charging us multiple times trying to find the cheapest deals instead just looking at prices without purchasing them. After that issue happened we spoke with the manager & had to call my bank to get this straightened out. While calling getting everyone on three way the manager with Expedia tried to say that we messed up by trying to do it online ourselves so I intervened saying that it was a representative at Expedia that did the mess up on the whole account. After that happened we decided to book it all on our own with insurance on everything. Fast forwarding to the day that we were heading to the airport. We had a flat on the way there and had to call a tow truck which was no issue because we were covered with issues like this with our insurance. We also had to schedule a different time for the flight because we were not going to be able to make the one that was booked. So when I call Expedia explaining what happened I was told to call the people that I have the insurance through to see what can be done. It turns out that I had to pay $200 to change the time of the flight then file a claim so that I could get that money back. It would take 7-10 days for this process to be complete so I am out of $200 before I even make it to the airport. Fast forward to getting the rental car when we arrive at our destination. We get there to get the rental car and due to my bf not having a credit card we can’t get the car. This was not explained at all when we spoke with Expedia in regards to all of this. Nothing was explained in detail with Expedia in this whole process actually. When we call Expedia to inform them of this issue they tell us to call the ppl that we have the car rental insurance with as well. We were told that we would get a complete refund and who knows when that will happen & if we will get the correct funds back. So we switch it to my name & have to pay $242 for a policy all over again. That fast I’m out of $442 before we even make it to our destination. We get to the resort and we have to pay $225 for charges that Expedia did not inform us about as well. So I’m out of $667 before our celebration can even start. I pretty much had to pay for the trip all over again with no help from Expedia. This entire situation was a complete disaster and a MAJOR INCONVENIENCE! It ruined our entire celebration that we worked so hard to be able to get to and actually enjoy ourselves. No stars are deserved at this point.

I would literally rather pay more directly from the airline’s site then deal with booking on Expedia ever again. This app timed out on me in the middle of my flight purchase. Then Expedia charged me for the flight but didn’t send me any flight confirmation or information. Now having to work with customer support to get my flight info since i have nothing to show for what i paid for. You’re better off just booking on a DIFFERENT SITE. May not be quick at sending you your flight information, but but they are quick at charging you!!!!!

I have to start saying that my experience with Expedia has been good so far. No complains. The customer service is great and the app is easy to navigate and efficient, BUT... Im letting you guys know that the number for customer support in the app is wrong as It took me to a weird call service in -I believe- India with a machine voice telling me I won $100 towards my new booking. When I finally spoke with a real person over the phone they only asked for my card details. Very suspicious, when I said no they transferred me 4 times to different people (half way trough a conversation). I just wanted to change my flight and they kept saying that I needed to give them my card details for them to give me the $100 I didn’t even want. They were extremely pushy and didn’t even say “Expedia” once. I had to hung up and google the “real” service number. When I talked to the real support guy he told me they would never ask for that. So PLEEEEAASEEE be careful with the number on the app. (1-877-312-2037) cause it sends you directly to scammers. Please fix that before a more gullible person gets scammed thinking they are talking to Expedia over the phone.

Just returned from a trip nightmare because Expedia was sending flight status updates telling me my flight was delayed 2hrs later than it was and sent me to the wrong gate! Expedia repeatedly told me my flight was delayed until 1am and was at gate D38, when in fact the gate was D48 and the flight was 10pm. Thankfully a friend texted me in time to get to the correct gate at the correct time, but no thanks to Expedia! Never using Expedia again. Also, booking the flight turned out completely wrong too. I booked a round trip, but they independently reserved two one way trips, and had me departing from a completely different airport in a different country!!! I had to cancel and rebook because the customer service couldn’t figure out what happened.

App says one thing about hotel and rates and hotel acts completely independent of those same agreements and acts ignorant of their own posting. Booked hotel 8 weeks out with payment due at time of stay. What a surprise when my card is charged immediately and hotel attempts to claim it is non refundable reservation due immediately. Have to contact hotel and they act put out when I demand a refund and cancelation and for them to honor the terms of the reservation set forth by Expedia. Not a word or response from Expedia whatsoever from my complaints. Suggest you look elsewhere if you want real help when something goes wrong and the hotels don't respect their own policies.

I use Expedia a lot all over the world. Great selection, easy to find a place to stay. I am a gold member. But every time I book through the app I know that I will have to make at least one and often several phone calls to Expedia to straighten out the problems. Reservations not shown, information scrambled when transferred to hotel or airline, and other problems. Website is slightly less problematic. Most important change needed is to make most recent reservations more easily available with prices and credits shown clearly. Also needs to be more robust when app crashes due to problems like loss of WiFi or cell signal. They also mess up my name every time they make a reservation for me. They combined my first and part of my middle name as my first name and my last name and suffix as a last name when making an international flight reservation. Since my reservation name didn’t match my passport, I got processed like a drug dealer and almost was denied boarding. Another time they left my last name off a hotel reservation. The hotel told me I had no reservation.

I booked a trip through the app, the total was supposed to be $1900.00. I got an error stating that my payment information was not correct, so I tried it again. Same thing happened. I was getting ready to just call and book it, but checked my bank account first. Low and behold, they had taken $2500 out of my checking account, $600 more than the cost of the trip!! And to make matters worse, the trip wasn’t even booked!! I spent 3 1/2 hours on the phone with them, and got no where. The trip still wasn’t booked, between calls with them, and calls with the bank, no one knows when I will get my money back. I was basically told my the CustomerService rep from Expedia, that if I wanted to avoid this, I should just book directly through the airline and hotel that I want to stay at. Not through a travel site. They said it was because I booked with a debit card, so apparently a global company like Expedia doesn’t have the capability of doing debit transactions. I will never use them again, or use the app. It was my worst experience ever trying to book a vacation. I’m out thousands of dollars and still don’t have my vacation planned. My advice is to go through funjet or Apple vacations. They are a far superior travel booking site!!

I received an email with such amazing flight deals from Sacramento (that usually never happens from SFM). Taking advantage of the deal, I proceeded to book a trip to NY for my Bday through the website. They rejected my CC when trying to book my round trip, however they charged to my CC only the flight back from NY to SFM. Now my CC was blocked and costumer service wasn’t able to help me secure my round trip. That’s is very disappointing!

This is the second time I have been burned by Expedia. They book your flight and charge your card through their app. But when canceling you have to jump through hoops with their (24hr) cancellation policy. I canceled my flights but to find out later they didn’t actually cancel one portion so I get burned for the $120. Why would you have to cancel all flights separately when you booked one res. Through Expedia. Not to mention the travel ins. Has to be canceled separately. Complete BS. Never use Expedia again.

First time you buy tickets to fly s family together yet they sit you all over the plane not together! When you have elderly family member that need your help to get up and get out of the plane or go to the bathroom not good if your not sitting next to them !!! This was quick and painless compared to what I was using. (Sky scanner) love it so far and it comes with a points system which I’m guessing you can accrue over time to use on flights. I have an iPhone X and it works really well with this OS, I’m not sure how well it would work on android.

They just kept asking if this was helpful. I answered no. So they gave me more useless instructions. It just kept looping me , so I gave up. I booked a flight and typically defaults to my credit card. When I got my email confirmation I saw that I had been charged for insurance and also used my points. I had 24 hours to change or cancel and when I called within an hour to change my method of payment, I was told I had to calls and rebook. That would be fine, but the nonsense about the price guarantee not being valid made no sense to me. It is as simple as providing excellent customer service, but that might have been asking too much. This is the second time that Expedia caused frustration. My prior awful experience left me stranded in New York because the airline could see my confirmation number, but my name was not attached. I used Expedia a lot, but my experiences leave me feeling that I am glad they have competition and I am one customer they will lose.

The app is generally good, but the trip page is punctuated by large adverts suggesting you fill in all the gaps by buying more from Expedia. They would be better off either a. just letting you put whatever you want in there and have gaps in ‘their’ itinerary, with a small, hideable, single notification that there are gaps, or b. color coding flights, stays, and attractions so the user can clearly see they have return flights with no accommodation or attractions booked. We’re already buying something so stop trying to sell sell sell. Also, when I try to download to iPhone from my email it doesn’t open the app and load the itinerary, it opens the App Store and prompts to update (I update when it works for me, not the developer). It should go straight to the app.

The app doesn't work and neither did the website. I tried for 3 hours to book a flight and car rental to San Diego CA. After booking, the message "sorry we can not book this trip, please try your search again" popped up. So I tried again, same flight and car and got the same message. I refreshed the app, updated the app, updated my information and tried 2 different credit cards to no avail. I then tried Priceline, had no problem, used 1 credit card, was easier and $50 less. Thanks Priceline!!!! Goodbye Expedia.

Instead of Being in the heart of Venice as it was described on the app instead I am about an hour and a half away from where I need to be on a huge mistake and when I reached out to Expedia I received this response: It is more economical for you to use the reservation than to cancel and not be refunded from it. You have an option to change the name on the reservation to someone who can use it. If you still want to continue, please feel free to reply to this email to finalize the cancellation. First time writing a bad review, but I had a terrible experience. I had booked a bundle which consisted of a round-trip flight and a hotel stay in Cancun. When I got my confirmation email it only stated a one-way flight from Cancun and a hotel stay. I decided to call and customer service simply states that right before I booked someone else must have taken the last seats on the flight to my destination. I was never notified or given any caution signs, I was just automatically booked into a one-way flight. They did not offer to find a different flight to Cancun for substitution, and I decided to cancel the trip. (Since buying plane tickets separate would’ve made the trip more expensive) This whole experience made me so frustrated and I decided to not go on a trip at all since I had lost money in the process. Overall their system is flawed and needs improvement.

Terrible company I booked a flight from Dallas to Honolulu with a short layover in LA. Just to get to my terminal and to have the airline inform me that no such flight exist the flight number for my ticket was for a Hawaiian flight to Maui. About 6 hours of being placed on hold and back and forth with the airline they finally found a flight for me. I was only 8 hours late missed all my plans for day 1 basically lost 1 day of my vacation. Expedia’s response was basically at least we got you there. The problem was Expedia didn’t call to verify the flight with the airline. So a word of advice if you use Expedia call the airline yourself to verify and confirm flight.

The last 3x I’ve made reservations I’ve had the price hiked on me when I’ve gone to check out. $150-$200 price hike in 5 minutes?? They’re charging my card each time I’m trying to check out and giving me a message that says “transaction cannot be completed by your banking establishment”. It takes 24-48 for $3,000 worth of overcharges to be corrected. Ridiculous. I’m going with another company from now on. >:-(

I choose a cheap flight and great departure and arrival time, but I been trying to book a flight for two days and I entered all booking information and my payment and every time I was ready to book it give me an error that my “book was not able to complete at this moment, please try again later”. I contacted customer support and I told them my issue and, they were trying to do the same thing I did and had the same error. I spend 1hours on the phone with them very patiently, and at the end they just told me the issue is because the airline are changing their booking information etc.. which it doesn’t make any sense, and for that hour they were not able to told me that and nothing was resolve and they were trying to make me buy a more expensive and horrible arrival and departure times flight!! Not help at all... First time trying to book a flight from this site and It was not a great experience. won’t be back here for any of my flight matters.

Arrived from an international flight to a sour unwelcoming reception. Staff don’t use salutations, and make you feel a nuisance. We were sent up the stairs to a filthy room which was not ready despite being past the check-in time. A repair crew is fixing a damaged shower screen. The table surfaces are dirty from previous guests. In conclusion the Compleat Angler has become a dingy, worn out, unhygienic place. It’s still in a beautiful location but definitely not deserving of the high prices.

I accidentally booked the wrong time for a car rental! On the day of, I was checking my reservation & noticed I had the wrong time during my Uber ride. I not only canceled my original car, I got the same type of car to pick up within minutes. I love this app!

I have a upcoming Family Cruise in a few weeks. After the deposit was taken, absolute ZERO help or response from agent. Full balance has been paid thru the website and now nothing by way of human contact. Not only has she not returned phone calls or emails for what was suppose to be a multi-cabin family cruise, there has been zero assistance trying to get a upgrade. My family ended up booking thru various avenues. I’ve gotten some assistance and information from the cruise line directly. Unfortunately, booking thru Expedia has hindered us greatly. Very disappointed. 1/2 star for customer service.

Booking hotels is fine but I don’t know why I have to sign in every time I use the app and have to go through checking pictures of bridges, cars etc. before I can access my reservations. Booking.com is much more user-friendly.

This booking agency costs me $965 even though I spent over four hours on the phone talking to different customer service representatives. I booked a flight to go back to visit my sick grandmother and I plead and asked them for a different flight due to a work conference. I have never encountered such poor service from customer service representatives that sounded like they were from overseas. I asked multiple times to speak to different levels of management and after a three hour back and worth I was finally transferred to a corporate manager at their headquarters. I thought that this person was going to solve my problems but I was terribly wrong. I was put on hold for over an hour and then the phone line went dead. I called back again and same situation happened. Not only I didn’t get any service credit for my ticket but I received the worst customer service that I will remember for a long time to come. I will uninstall the app and never use them again because it has been a truly horrifying experience and to top it off I lost my hard earned money because they couldn’t even give me service credit for another flight. All I can say is buyers beware and purchase at your own risk.

I booked hotels from Expedia in Europe. All the time get roped by hotels . They advertised free WiFi , free parking , free breakfast. That’s not true . They always says he same not this room . Be careful

For any trips I have upcoming or even think of taking...looking on the app is the first place I start at. Many options and variety. Plus earning points for booking to save on future trips are always a plus.

Wow- what a waste of time. Unless you booked something there are ZERO options to contact company support. What a COMPLETE WASTE. DON’T BOTHER unless you know what you want to book. But then again I did a search for a particular destination for specific dates and got 42 results- unfortunately 37 of hotels were sold out. If you are like me then you have better time to look at options that are sold out. LOOK ELSEWHERE for travel arrangements- EXPEDIA is a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.

I bought it for a four day trip. Only rented the car for two days. They said the insurance wasn't refundable. Rip off. Don't use Expedia. Try another app.

Handy, easy to use app. Have been known to be consulting it in a he car as we leave an airport delayed needing last maintenance nite accommodations. Often has best prices.

My iOS is up to date but every time I try and open the app it loads forever and nothing happens. It’s disappointing because I like booking travel via the site but if I can’t use the app while on the go, it’s pointless.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Expedia! Flights, hotels and car rentals have always been exactly what was described. I’ve even had issues with hotels that Expedia resolved for me. Not to mention the extra discounts I get from using the app often.

I booked a hotel. They sent email to confirm which I did then they sent a second email telling me no room and my five year can’t stay. Don’t use nite inn universal studios.

Both the iPhone and iPad apps now look like bad versions of a browser-based experience... didn’t use to be like that but now everything looks crappy and the user experience is terrible... cherry on the cake is that you can’t use ApplePay anymore.. used to be integrated in the app, but it’s all gone now... what went wrong with you Expedia??? Hired people from Uber or what?

This is one of the Terrible experiences that I have encountered I am booked the rooms to take my daughter to college, and I made the reservations for July 23-24, 2018 but received a rate your stay at the Richmond Airport Hotel about yesterday and today. Now I am told that I need to pay again for two more rooms until a refund is issued. Everyone doesn’t just have extra money lying around. I’m also unable to access the account as Expedia is saying that I don’t have an account. But they have my money so why don’t I have an account. Correcting the issue shouldn’t require more money. Truly disappointed with the service rendered via the app.

For the first time in years of using expedia, and the first I have EVER written a bad review or taken the time to even write one, I feel the need now. I booked a reservation for a hotel in Florida for vacation in early 2017. I then cancelled it by phone (big mistake) in February 2017. Now all of a sudden i get an email saying “HAPPY WITH CHECK IN?” Im like huh? Then im charged a $300 no show fee from the hotel. I call Expedia, they have no record of the cancellation. They call the hotel twice, the hotel says go pound sand thats our policy. Ofcourse expedia will not admit they screwed up, they are going to “conduct an investigation” to see who is to blame for the non-cancellation. So now im on a different vacation with my wife and three kids and I have to eat $300. Bit of advice for anyone reading. Eliminate the middle man. Dont use engines like expedia or any other for your reservation, they are doing nothing for you. I didnt even get a notification or reminder a week in advance saying “Hey your reservation is coming up are you all set?” I have to rely on myself to remember that I cancelled it months ago but Expedia may not have done it right. Thanks a lot expedia for penalized me and my family on our vacation.

Just one more business that doesn’t care about customer service ,takes no responsibility nor will they do anything to help you once they have screwed up your reservation. I have been a customer for a long time this last year they have screwed up every reservation that I have made.I would honestly give it a zero stars if I could.

I have been using Expedia a lot lately and today i finally experienced how they take care of their customers. I drove for 16 hours over night and finally arrived 4ish am to check in, the front desk guy told me that he already wrote me as a no show and there’s nothing that can be done. The website said 4am and didn’t specify how lax or strict they are with this policy, or whether or not this was sharp 4am or not. I was turned away by the inn and by Expedia. I continued driving to my destination without any sleep and now decided to sleep in my car since i was unable to utilize the inn i paid for. I lost my money and Expedia is doing nothing to help take care of me as a customer. You will be left to sleep in your car if there is any issue. So use a company that values its customers more please. And don’t be stuck like me writing a review from your car.

Expedia.com - I booked 5 JetBlue tickets recently and my card was booked for 10. Two different days of being on hold and emails with various people, including supervisors, and they all sing the same song “It is Jet Blue’s fault, but they say charges are only pending and should be off by now” 10 days later, still on credit card and not pending, but double charged. If I cancel the whole trip, they will charge me cancellations fees - seriously? Now I have to directly to bank and dispute charges- 3 hours total- never again. Be warned how Expedia treats customers when a problem occurs.

Love this app! Just wished it included ratings/ reviews in additional to the their information on all phones. My phone is an iPhone 6s and doesn’t include that whereas my friend has an iPhone 8 which features ratings. Nonetheless I highly recommend this app!

I’ve used Expedia for almost all of my trips hands down they have best prices out there. My only problem is that i just realized you get better prices when you don’t have an account with them. I would think you get better prices being a member but I guess I was wrong you get better prices when you’re not a member it’s almost like a $20 difference. Other than that I love the app

I routinely book a business trip that requires air, hotel & car, but that bundle isn’t available. I can’t book in app, always online. Most of the rest is good.

You book through the sight and it sends a message to your phone saying it will send you your confirmation number and itinerary. This doesn’t work. It just says you have no trips booked.

Have booked one trip in July and one flight in February through Expedia. Trip showed up in app but not Feb flight. Now, after 6 logins in less than 6 minutes I still can’t get on site and it appears both trip and flight no longer appear. I’m not a happy customer and soon to be no longer a customer either if I can’t get app sorted out.

2018 Terrible Customer experience Too many booking attempts that fail to complete ticketing. Too bad the app show the flight is “booked, no need to call to confirm” meanwhile the ticket is never issued. What a mess 2017 Too-clever UI is terrible to use. I'm trying to check flight prices and this app is also shopping hotels. I'm burning int'l roaming data on information I don't want. Give me the choice to search flight, hotel, or both.

I was scammed by Europcar for a reservation I made with expedia. Expedia blamed Europcar, and Europcar blamed Expedia. I have been traveling a lot in Europe on business, and have noticed hotel prices are quoted at an attractive rate, but then when you try to make a booking, they change the currency and the quoted price goes up considerably. This latest experience with the rental car was an out & out rip-off, and my credit card company is contesting the charges. so yes, the app works well, but beware of scamming.

I agree with all of the reviewers who gave Expedia a bad review. You don’t know whether you’re coming or going with this app. There is a book full of information, but can’t find the info you need for more important issues. I feel I was misled, that I needed to lie if I wanted to change a flight, or pay more. I spent more on using Expedia than going through the airline by myself. Never again will I use your service, if service is the correct word.

Until now I haven’t had any problems with Expedia App. I have an account with them about 4 years ago and I totally love it. I love the discounts and rewards. My most recent purchase was this past week, got a hotel for one night at $40 dlls thanks to Expedia rewards. I have booked through Expedia App for Puerto Rico, Orlando and Miami and I only can say thank you for making an app very practical and easy to use! I give you all a thumbs up! 👍🏽

I recently booked two separate hotels through Expedia and was charged. When reading the fine print and more I wasn't suppose to be charged until I got to the actual hotel and was charged three weeks in advance. With that being said I called to cancel my reservations and was told that it takes 7 business days before I can receive my refund. But it didn't take them no time to take the money out of my account. This is so unacceptable and I will NEVER book through Expedia ever again.

This thing did not even ask for trip protection. Had to leave the app to do anything that the app should be able to support, like ticket price and rating or trip protection....simply annoying.

I tried to create an account but apparently I already had one. I changed the password and logged in. I checked the reward points and I did not have any points. Weird, if I had an account and I stayed at 2 different hotels 2 months ago why did I not have any reward points? Tonight, I called Expedia to book a hotel, but first I asked about the reward points. Rep said I was not a member, and i asked the rep if there was anything he could do. He said nope. I said if I’m going to start all over then I’ll just go elsewhere. Rep had no interest in accommodating me. Thanks Expedia.

I used this app constantly to book work travel, up until the most recent update to the app. Expedia, the new version of your app is garbage...it’s complicated, less streamlined, and more error prone than the previous version. The competition for your market is way to close to be making these kinds of mistakes.

I chose BUNDLE and the app didn’t offer Auto Rental along with Flight & Hotel. I finally started over and chose Auto and then there was a place to choose bundle all three. Frustrating! but not impossible.
