While streaming app on smart tv on ongoing India England series the adds is blocking entire application it’s so annoying and we have to restart it . So unprofessional !

It's a pure junk. Became the worst app in my phone since the IPL 2018 started. Worst developed app of all time I suppose. It crashed right at the winning moment of the game.

Works completely fine when there are no games to watch. When there is a game their servers go down. I am thinking to cancel the subscription and uninstall the app.

I have totally wasted my $9.99. It works only when the live telecast is over. No one wish to get a subscription to watch just highlights. Even after contacting their support team, nothing improved. Worst ever service. I won’t even think of subscribing to willow tv again. They are not even worth of 1 star.

Application takes forever to load. Even willow websites takes lot of time. This is not at all acceptable for the subscription fees they are charging.

Subscribed to watch live cricket. Very disappointed. All I can watch is a spinner with loading message. No customer service.

Used to work before but for the India England series,its become a piece of crap, when it does log in,the connection keeps dropping and now for the 2nd t20 it doesn’t log in at all on Appletv and on the iPad doesn’t show that a live match is on. Why do you buy the rights if you can’t support streaming?🤬🤬🤬

I made my subscription through my Apple pay. But still not able to watch anything. No one is responding to calls.

If i had a chance i would have given 0 rating. No proper response from the team, website won’t load, app doesn’t work. Waste of money and time. Switch to a better service. Don’t take willow subscription

App doesn’t work. Paid money to watch live cricket. All I see is busy hour glass for both the games. Only good for replays.

Even after paying $10 ( and $16 for long time) this app does not work most of the times. Especially during the live matches.

This is the worst subscription based platform of all. Never had any issues using amazon prime or Netflix. If you’re charging for just one sport and limited games you should be on top if your game. This is not India and people are used to it over there not here. App, browser or tv box it’s all the same when a live game is on. Subscription is wasted and there is no such thing as live support everything is automated and response takes days. Have some shame and learn from Amazon how to service people when charging for the service is the fastest and quickest thing you can do!

This is a horrible service, they have had an outage now couple of times during important matches. They take no responsibility of communicating to the users of the outage or restoration

Doesn’t stream or slow streaming during the crucial moments in the game. Takes forever to load. Willow please stop taking rights for the games if you can’t provide decent service.

I have been trying to unsubscribe the plan, but there is no option to do so in the app. I contacted their costumer support and they didn’t respond. Please don’t install this app! I wish there was an option to rate this zero!!

I wish there is an option in App Store that helps a user rate a particular app ‘negatively’. I just bought(wasting $9.99) the premium Willow tv subscription to watch uninterrupted, live streaming of a cricket match and I could hardly do that. There is absolutely no way to contact the Technical Support team of Willow tv via a phone call and it meant that there is absolutely no way to get help. The so called ‘Live Chat’ that they have as part of their ‘Contact Us’ option is a virtual reality and you hardly get a response back there, forget about any assistance. There are numerous 3rd party websites that hosts Replays of a completed match and I don’t think I need to waste $9.99 per month on Willow to do that.

Overpriced for the annoyingly inconsistent service it provides. Better stay away, refrain from a paid heartburn here.

When it work it works good however need alot of improvement with inner structure. Don't recommend the app if you have any other options

I haven’t had any major issues with the app, it works fine and in most cases provides you with 3 live sources of the broadcast. My only complaint would be the COMMERCIALS being extremely loud for no reason.

I have been using willow for two years now. Would give zero stars if possible. Can you imagine watching a t-20 game while the server goes down and you have to refresh the page every over? By the end of the game you’ll probably be lucky if you can watch 29 balls through the hassle. It would be foolish to believe the developers response to this review even if he does cause they really don’t care about customer satisfaction. I have been emailing the customer service since forever now and I don’t see any improvement. Moreover, they don’t even try to acquire rights for all the team India games!

App keeps crashing on the iPad when I try to login, this issue has existed for a very long time, needs to be fixed soon.

It’s so strange that I don’t have the ability to skim forward or go back in a video. If you leave a highlights video midway, god forbid, you’re forced to watch it from the start!

The reason I gave one star. There’s India vs Afghanistan test match but willow is not playing that match. And willow didn’t play the series between Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Why would I pay 10$ to see only test matches. Or maybe once or twice a one day. Pls add those matches or I ll unsubscribe at the end of this month. Thanks

Service was ok, but there is no way to cancel subscription once you start paying. Customer service is a black hole.

They make it impossible to unsubscribe, have no customer service whatsoever. Beware. Also, has issues when streaming to chrome cast or Apple TV. Streaming would stop intermittently.

This is absolutely disgusting and breaches customer trust in multiple ways. I signed up assuming i would get decent access to IPL, but they just created a dummy account on US hotstar instead. When i wanted to unsubscribe they just do not provide any method in the app or their website. There is no customer service number and their CS email is non responsive. I had to call my bank and file a dispute to stop them from charging me. I wish they go bankrupt soon. This is plain day time robbery.

I have went trying to unsubscribe for months now, their customer service is deplorable and they won't respond at all. Super shady company, don't subscribe unless you want to lose money.

Never runs smooth for more than a minute.. it has to skip, freeze or lower the resolution. Creating a live video app should not be that difficult for a company who owns a TV channel.

I travel quite a bit. The app works fine in US. But does-not work outside US. Why? Shouldn't my subscription be portable with me where ever i go? Hep???

App is forcing me to update to 3.12, takes me to AppStore and says I am already on 3.12. Can’t use the app because it thinks I am on previous version.

Subscribed for 9.99$ to watch ipl2018. Saw 1st game on my AppleTV and iPhone. Since the 2nd game there is a banner telling me to go back to website where they redirected me to hotstar website. Which is really bad experience but at least works for ios but no way to watch on apple tv anymore since there is no safari to be redirected to hotstar website. Will be reporting to Apple.

Signed up for 9.99 monthly subscription through iTunes - the app asks you to login to the website for further instructions.. except there are no further instructions.. Apple should kick this app out of the AppStore

Why can’t I sign into app using tv provider details. Can only sign in on willow.tv.

I have been trying to reach support to find out how I could purchase an in-app subscription with no response from willow? The app has no links to do that and there is only a login link. I have emailed support twice from within the app with no response. Is the support team too busy to respond to a query?

I had subscribed to the app. Worked for a week and then it asked me to revaludate using the website. The website redirected me to another website called hot star. I am still not able to get access in spite of emailing and the live chat never works. They are cheats and dishonest vendors. Apple should not have the. On the App Store. I sway I will come after you.

I’ve been trying to watch the IPL recordings through the AppleTV App. I go to the website and login, as per instructed in the video, but there are no instructions on how to activate the IPL as per the video. I sent an email to Customer Support and have yet to hear a response.

How do I watch using my ISP credentials? Come on guys.

Facebook integration is still in “development mode” and they are letting users sign in with Facebook login. If you reset password it sends you a reset url that expires in milliseconds. No option to subscribe via the app or pay for subscription using App Store. It is a shame that they are exercising their broadcast monopoly in the North American region.

Even after so many months they have failed to update for iPhone X screen.. companies at this level normally throw updates even before the launch of new devices and new operating systems as apple gives them beta access months before.. if the company is still unable to update.. you better think before subscribing.

The app forcibly updated to version 3.10 and when I open the app it keeps saying update to 3.10 version .. it seems to be an endless loop..

This app shows ad before the video and after the video. That makes ads bigger than video itself. There is no way to stop or exit the second ad video. So stupid.

was looking forward to watching cricket and paid the subscription fee, but i can’t watch on my computer and the app crashes every time i do anything. it also won’t let me log on even though i have an account because it’s an american facebook. that makes no sense to me. why take my money if i can’t log in? if this doesn’t get fixed i’m going to ask for a refund

I’m a cricket and willow is one of the good channel that streams the cricket in live! But when it comes to the updates for the app it don’t give updates regularly to fix any issues! Now a days many apps are coming with an update to iPhone X. Cricbuzz which is also a cricket based has updated their screen size to support iPhone X resolution but willow is not updated! Love to see the cricket streaming on full size resolution!! Go willow release the update soon!!!

I have been subscribing to Willow TV for a while, but find that live content is reducing. For instance, the recent India-WI series was not covered, ICC a Women’s T20 WC needs additional subscription etc. Very disappointing. Considering unsubscribing..

This app by far is the worse app I ever used. Barely works without freezing. Half of the time it says “file not found.” For an subsection you are paying for you would expect better service. Also the quality is not as good as other apps. Not just the app even if you are using their website you have the same problem. I remember once speaking to a technician and he literally told me that I should watch the watch in 240p to avoid buffering. That’s the type of customer service they provided. They you to pay month and tell you to watch at 240p to avoid freezing. Only reason I gave one star is because you cannot give 0.

Once you sign up they no longer allow you to cancel your subscription. Yup that’s right you can suspend your account for 1 month but after that it start billing again. They do not accept cancellations. This is a scam of the highest order.

They dont have option for live streaming on apple devices, its only recorded matches

Why is WILLOW not showing Ind Vs West Indies?

From last couple of week the app has become worst, I can’t able to watch the Live matches between India and England. When I click live button it keeps on buffering. Will you please try to rectify this problem ASAP.

This review is not for app, but for their coverage. They had no Asiacup coverage and no live coverage for India v West Indies 2018. When I contacted them, they say- we don’t have rights for that game”. Then why do you even have a channel? I hate the fact that when I am already paying for willow on dish network, I need to pay again for the website. Why not link them together?

Don’t rely on this app or willow tv. After Subscribe you won’t be able to cancel it.

Live match will roll back and casting will not work all the time

I keep getting charge each month even though I canceled months ago!

I activated this service, but I’m unable to cancel it and getting charged every month. They don’t have any option to cancel in app or website. No customer care number too.

This is a great app. I have been watching pretty much every day for the last couple of months. All the test matches and odi come in HD. I am very happy with willow and the app. When there is no live cricket there are plenty of videos and replays. The feed is usually from sky sports which has the best commentary. I recommend this 100%.

Just simply pathetic. Utterly painful app!

While watching a t20 I had to refresh the app at least 40 times .it crashes after every boundary or every wicket .

Why it’s not supporting xfinity TV subscriber ?

The streaming freezes every over .i have been trying to contact the support and no luck. Waited for an operator for about 20 mins , no response. Feels like wasted my 45$ with this. Need my money back immediately.

I haven’t seen the problems others have mentioned with this service. I use it on an iPhone, applets and PC. It’s a great service, the highlights are timely and the full archive replays are a godsend when the match is being played on the other side of the planet.

I can’t play a lot of the videos. Why is that?

I took the service mainly for my favorite INDIA team matches, but no INDIA Live streaming or No Highlights of any ongoing INDIA Matches, planning to switch to SLING TV.

To be frank app is very good, the only issue with willow is they not broadcasting few of the highly viewed international cricket matches. For Indian fans it is very disappointing, willow didn't broadcast the live of international cricket matches held in India. I saw Ind vs eng was broadcasted but not the Asia cup and Ind vs WI matches. The unsubscribe process is a head ache.

Not worth the subscription. Stops after every single over. Have to close and restart again every F**** over. Frustrating. Seems you guys are looking for ads in between the over you aren’t getting. This is really very upsetting. Not even worth a star.

This app doesn’t give an option to cancel the subscription and by the time you reach out to them to cancel ur service ur already charged for your auto renewal. It’s a complete sham and theft of money for shoddy cricket coverage.

I would prefer to give zero stars. I am using willow for more than an year. First of all there are no live streaming that willow is providing any more. When ever there is a series willow keep on saying they don’t have rights to telecast then why do you need 10$ subscription? Worst thing is when I reached out to customer care (which they never respond), they mentioned the telecast is on their tv channel and I need to get a cable subscription for that. Hotstar or sling would be the better provider than willow. Finally, i am not sure if they even have dedicated customer support.

Keeps on crashing. I am only using because it is free with dish subscription, otherwise not worth the pain.

HD quality of streaming

When viewing highlights why I am getting ads at starting of videos. Is this a free service or paid service? Why I am getting ads when viewing highlights? This is frustrating as it is a paid service remove the ads.

After so many years, Willow still hasn’t figured out how to write stable apps for iOS. It’s very frustrating.

I paid for an annual membership. After one month my service is not working. I missed all live matches.

Basically willow is way below par. I have a subscription but can’t even login on the app. Brilliant.

I signed up for the annual subscription. Price is right and when I’m watching matches, it works great. However, after one month of being a part of the “annual subscription” it won’t let me watch matches or replays asking for me to sign up again. Have not heard back from customer service yet. This is upsetting. Hope it’s fixed soon.

Does not stream anything when the play button is pressed. Useless app. If I want to just check the score, I’ll just use cricinfo. Please fix this garbage.

I am cricket fan and willow gives me a steady stream of games to watch with highlights and replay options if I miss the live action. The app works ok - wish there were better control for fast forwarding (Samsung TV app) it feels like it’s all or none for a T20 replay. Need better controls for video player. Customer service is all remote as others are pointing out

They took every month money on perfect time but they dont reply when we send support email. I subscribed to them as they are offering 6$ every month with gaana+ but now they are taking 9.99$ without that gaana subscription

I have been with Willow for two years now. Are they perfect? No. But the goods definitely outweigh the bad. I was pleased to see them lower the monthly subscription price. I now feel like I am getting my money’s worth. Thank you Willow for bringing lots of cricket to devices in the USA.

Looks like it was developed by bunch of freelancers. The app keeps disconnects the streams on chromecast every 5 minutes and Roku app is not really high quality either.

Great App, but very slow when it comes to updating the app to support latest devices. Please update the app to support iPhone X.

I like this App it works well on my iPad. I live in the USA, get to see international test cricket (my best), ODI’s and T20. I recently watched the Australian woman T20 competition and I was totally surprised it was great. This App allows me to keep up with a great sport I love. Nice to see a little more of SA who I support, but for now India Vs Australia test series has me content. The adds is the real pain, plays same add over miss all the commentary DROP THE ADVERTISEMENTS.

Get kicked out of a stream every few minutes saying I've started streaming on another device

Streams don’t work and even if they work they get disconnected every 10 to 15 minutes. Poorly designed streaming experience.

Hangs..crashes.. and does everything except working without any problem. Learn something from hotstar..

CPL final not coming in willow? What kind of service your providing? Paying money for willow is useless I would say......

I have been using Willow for several years now. It fits my needs and have no issues including customer service + the cost is reasonable. I never watch anything live and that may be why I am a happier subscriber than others.The recordings have their own quirks like they are available only on Apple TV streaming device. Even there all the sessions are grouped together as one recording; good luck if you want to go to a particular session ... even though it can be done.The only gripe I really have is that the still pictures give away the result sometimes. So that’s a problem if one watches recordings without knowing the result. They have an option to hide scores; that’s good but not entirely. I requested them to hide the game pictures like WatchESPN does but so far no response. I will continue to subscribe.

This app is a waste of time and money. It did not work 2 months back. Does not work now. I wish there was another streaming service to watch cricket. I learnt my lesson. I will not waste my money on this service in the future.

I like flexibility which it provides to watch cricket on the go. The service had some ups and down but it has been very stable lately.

I signed up a for a service in the morning, and in the evening my login doesn’t work. They do not have a customer service phone number or chat. I sent them Zillions of emails in a day but no reply. That’s the worst ever experience with a subscription.

Excellent app to maybe just view the score, even though that updates mildly slow. Cannot watch the main highlight videos unless I send the video via text to myself so I can watch it. Doesn’t update the scorecards so I can see how wickets fell. Cannot watch matches live even though I am subscribed to willow and repeatedly click the red live button (and no, the match was not tv channel only). Can be a great app, they just need motivation to make the proper improvements. So bad that I just google the match to keep up with the score if I’m away from my tv. A shame really.

Had this problem few months ago & again have the same problem. When I cast to Chromecast after a while the video stops & I have to cast again.

The app automatically disconnects with your chrome cast devices every few minutes.

Please don’t subscribe to willow tv. Their support team is worst. I am having issues with login to my roku app with google auto sign in. Apparently they never told that it’s not supported for tv login but allowed for account creation with google auto sign on. When I contacted their support twice chat agent disconnected me in between. She/he had no idea what I was talking about. Sent mail to customer service and got response after two days. Response was also generic one asking me to login with user id password . They apparently donot understand the auto sign in feature use. Tough time contacting support team who don’t understand anything. I would suggest don’t fall into this scam. They are scammers who don’t care if you loose your money. Better look for alternatives.

This app’s primary mission is to be able to stream, fails terribly. Can’t stream continuously for more than 10mins using chrome cast.

Never works for iPhone, can’t watch live match or replay. Some of the replays randomly play if you are lucky.

To be charging money for this streaming service is a disgrace. It is literally impossible to watch a stream without endless buffering and stuttering. It’s also very difficult to cancel once they have you as a subscriber. There is no obvious way to unsubscribe, which is as sketchy as it sounds. Instead you’ll need to email them and ask, after which the company will go back and forth with you for some time before finally agreeing to end your subscription. Avoid.

I get willow.tv to watch the ashes but the streams doesn't work and the replays aren't instantly available

The app keeps crashing. It keeps logging me out and then doesn’t even let me sign back in but prompts a very superficial error message saying “ an error occurred”. The video is almost 5 mins delayed from what’s actually live! Please improve the user experience of this app especially with the amount being charged monthly for using the app.

New review: I have been watching cricket using the willow tv service for many months. A few months ago they deceptively signed me up for sling tv to watch cricket. I found out today that I had been paying a monthly subscription to sling tv as well. I don’t find an easy place to cancel their service. Old review: It asks me to update the app but no updates on the App Store. I was able to watch until now. The app is broken!

When it works it’s a wonder. However that is few and far between. And for the monthly subscription price it is UNACCEPTABLE. Could you imagine if Netflix wouldn’t load at all on a monthly basis? That their servers went down each week? And if they were up the buffering was slow and regularly pixelated...regardless of your whereabouts and country? No?! Well, some Willow does this on a weekly basis and has the temerity to charge for a service they do not provide. Support is poor and automated but none of this will stop them from charging you for a service they do not provide. Maybe it’s acceptable in India but it certainly isn’t elsewhere.

Not sure I agree with people complaining about streaming quality, that’s probably more to do with your own internet company connection but when it comes to the user experience of the mobile app it is staggeringly bad. Nothing is easy or intuitive, everything requires too much clicking, makes for enough of a frustrating experience that I’m writing this review. Honestly guys if this is your day job you should look to do something else for a living.
