It’s a great app for checking scores, especially since you can select your favorite players to show at the top, this way you don’t have to search through everyone. However, the video streaming is not good. The ads load right away, in HD not pixelated at all and no problems playing the ads. Then the video comes up and it is pixelated, delayed, and pauses then skips a lot. And every time you start a video you watch more (clear) ads. Hopefully they make enough money from the ads to have better streaming

It is round 4 and I am not able to be by the TV so I’m using the app to watch. Not only are the features groups very far from the front of the field, it is now telling me that featured coverage has concluded, even though the golfers playing to win the entire tournament(the most exciting part) are still playing.

The coverage that you can watch live is not good. Needs to be expanded to cover more players. Very disappointed

Piece of garbage and a waste of time

Open app and told there’s an update, no update in App Store. Just keeps going in circles. Tried to use the USGA website to see the leaderboard and it directs you to the app that doesn’t open because of an update that doesn’t exist.

Doesn’t work with AirPlay. Video shuts off as soon as you shut off the screen or it shuts itself off for standby.

Says I don’t have an internet connection ... tap retry countless times. No change. Worthless.

10000% garbage app, I hope nobody watches due to them making it like the masters then producing a garbage app

Using on a iPhone X. Great app. Always up to date, easy to understand and live videos are fantastic!

This app is so glitchy it's ridiculous! Not even sure why they tried to offer live coverage because the videos are grainy and freeze constantly, even with a great connection.

I was very excited at first, air played it to TV, but then every few minutes it would stop playing and I would have to relaunch. For that reason I give it 2 stars. I guess it ok if you want to watch a couple minutes here and there?

Great, if you want to watch advertisements. However, when it’s time to watch actual golf- it fails miserably. My favorite golf major of the year and I can’t watch it- this app is the equivalent of two quadruple bogeys in a round. Don’t bother!

If you want to know what it was like to watch anything back in the old days, off a 14000 baud modem, use this app. It’s unwatchable. It’s constantly repeating pausing quitting dying echoing fuzzing out, even on a strong LTE signal, and especially freezes just as Tiger Woods is striking a birdie putt. I’ve never had this problem with the Masters App. God awful. I’ll also add there is no iPad version, you have to run the junk iPhone app on your iPad. Back to the future I guess.

This app would be perfect as an iPad app. Disappointing that they don’t have one.

just absolute crap. Will not play over ten minutes of coverage without locking up or crashing/freezing. It’s just garbage you know I downloaded this app over and over each year and you would think whoever is making it would actually want it to work. It’s the same garbage as last year, and the year before that and the year before that it is a waste of time do not download.

This is great, but please give the option to turn off captions. I’m watching on a small screen and the subtitles take up the entire bottom left making it pretty tough to read the scoreboard and even see what’s going on sometimes. I’ll give it a full 5 if this becomes an option.

How do you not support iPad in a video streaming app?

The amount of data you get is really well done but if you are hoping to stream the feeds, only the best and fastest WiFi will provide decent streaming. They should have anticipated the huge Tiger affect and built up a better backend. You guys have the money. Pay for the pipe.

Been trying to stream On this app and it is horrible. I have deleted the and and restarted. Still no luck. Disappointed!

I've downloaded the app to watch the live feed and was completely unsuccessful on a strong internet connection. It either showed the ad and went black or simply returned to the selection screen. The other content was okay, but for my main purpose of downloading the app, it was a frustrating failure.

Have used this app in previous years, but this year I get advertisements just fine followed by blank screen. UGH! Please fix!

Won’t stream live video...

Every time I go to watch live coverage it crashes shortly after play starts. What good is it if it just takes a dump.

Your app is horrible. When you try to watch the live featured groups it does not work. But of course the bullsh*t add works! Wish I could give it negative stars!

Looks like a pretty comprehensive app, but live video isn’t working well at all as of Thursday morning. I get to watch the advertisement followed by a blank screen. One time I did get to see about 30 seconds of play before the feed quit. Probably not an app issue, but rather a server issue?

361 days to get ready for the US Open and you can’t get your app to stream live footage. I know this is the only time this app is used all year but really. Live doesn’t work from your website either. Considering how much money FOX is paying you maybe you could fix that?

The American Express ad works perfectly then I get a black screen! Yes, I am on WiFi.

Live video feed was working all morning but stopped twenty minutes ago and won’t comeback whether I’m connected to WiFi or not.👎🏻

Come on USGA....step it up. This app is garbage and keeps crashing constantly. How do you not anticipate a TON of people are going to want to watch the open...

Unfortunately, the live video works only sporadically. The commercials, however, work flawlessly. Is this on purpose?!?

If you’re downloading this app to watch coverage of the 2018 US Open, you will be disappointed. I don’t know why they decide to hand early coverage rights of a major over to a media group that does that does this stuff up to four times a year - audio goes in and out several times a hole, video quality is equal to that of the Atari game console, and blackouts are sighted more frequently than the golfers we’re supposed to be watching. My recommendation is don’t waste your time with this app, just wait until the cable broadcast comes on and keep up with scores on PGA tour website or live app.

The app. and the USGA website are not working at all for live viewing. What’s the point of having these apps if you can’t enjoy the live coverage without constant buffering.

You’d think after having poor live audio and video for the last few opens they’d have made some changes... they didn’t. Pretty much unwatchable because it either blacks out, you get double audio or it keeps freezing and replaying the same shots.

Why do I have to search 2 folders deep for a leaderboard?? It should be on the first log in screen. And why does the live feed continually freeze, restart, and eventually drop me?? I am on a home WiFi, so it’s not my data plan or cell service either. Disappointment from the USGA. Maybe they would be happier if golf was only enjoyed on AM radio....

Can watch nothing but the commercials. When it switches to the live stream it blacks out. Early on when it did work the sound was ahead by about 3 seconds. Not worth the time and space on my phone. Good luck.

Live stream doesn’t work! Very frustrating missing a major while traveling.

The video streaming is awful. Stops and starts, or the app just crashes. That nice AMEX commercial plays flawlessly though. And no IPAD app?

Loads the ads perfect. Streaming is a steaming pile of garbage even when it is actually showing even a glimmer of coverage.

Been trying to watch and it freezes about 5 seconds in then repeats then freezes. Then I get an ad. Was the same for the website as well.

This app is terrible. The commercials work beautifully (go figure) but when the live coverage comes on you are lucky to see 30 seconds without it skipping around and the commentary disappearing. I wish it was the The Masters, that app actually works.

There is no need to waste not only your time, but also the space on your phone! THIS APP IS HORRIBLE! I had it last year for the Open at Erin Hills, and I couldn’t find anything wrong with it, but this year, the live video keeps going in and out, and it’s super annoying. So yeah, don’t waste your time people!

I try to play it on Apple TV and the connection drops if I navigate away from the app or lock my phone screen. Unusable

The Live golf function is already messed up on day 1. Not able to view the featured groups

Tournament starts with a featured group and live streaming is broken on day 1.

I was at the Wednesday practice round and the on-site course map was very helpful for navigating the course and finding concessions, etc. The feature for knowing which players were on which hole worked when big name pros were on the course, but not so well for others. Often there would be a player on a hole and the app would say nobody was there. That’s not the app’s fault, but the people responsible for updating the information. I also think it takes too many clicks to drill into information on a hole, which should include players on the hole, yardage, and maybe the handicap from the club’s scorecard.
