100 buck a year for one kids team is insane. Forced Ads ruin this apps and speed and its ease of use. Removal of real time game score killed it. No customer service- no phone support. Really! Moving to B-A-N-D for free
ksard777's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/4/18 9:10 PM
It is clear TeamSnap is focused on its users unlike other competing apps. It easy to learns and use. UX is simple and straight forward. The web version is efficient and effective. Yes there is a cost but when compared to other apps the costs is well worth it. And went split across an entire team the cost is very small. I have to use other apps for my others teams for my sons and they are far inferior to TeamSnap.
swood18_23's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/4/18 7:55 PM
The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because it doesn’t give you little red notifications. Our teams send a lot of chats and if I don’t see them live, I often don’t see them because the app doesn’t have the red notification pop up when something is sent or the schedule is changed. I would like that feature then it would definitely be 5 stars!

Hands on the most comprehensive, organizational tool to manage sports teams! Allows email, text, chat rooms for instant communication! Improves efficiency of your time and tracks and informs changes instantaneously with a push of a few buttons!!!
Bambu's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/3/18 1:29 PM
The ability to manage a team is great with this app. I love how I can communicate with the parents through emails and messaging about games and practices. My only complaint is the payment structure. It automatically renews so once your season ends, make sure to go in and cancel. Now in my second year, I went in to use a promo code and after hitting a monthly plan it charged me an annual fee. They refuse to refund me so I am paying for unused program 🤬 oh and I couldn’t take advantage by changing the team because they charge for every team! Huge flaw in customer service!

Chunkyou8's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/25/18 3:37 AM
App works well for soccer. All communication is through email, no text even though there is an option to enable text messages. Alerts send an alert through the app which is slightly different than a text message.

Yeah, the app is awesome but what I love the most is reading the updates. Seriously. Like, I never read any other app’s updates cause they are boring or generic. Take the time to read the TeamSnap updates. They are hilarious. I love that someone takes the time to write these up. Genius.

HockeyMomma16's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/23/18 8:00 PM
I have used this app for three years for our kids team sports. It’s great for schedules and alerting parents of events. However, our favorite feature was TeamSnap Live. You used to be able to get it for free. It let us track the game live, update as teams scored, and input when periods ended. It would alert parents who had their notifications on - which was amazing for parents could couldn’t be at their kids game due to work or other commitments. Incredibly disappointed that TeamSnap Live will cost us monthly, as well as the availability feature. Poor choice.
broadwai's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/23/18 6:23 PM
Both my daughters play soccer and their coaches use TeamSnap. It’s great. Very easy to use. Wish there was a way to print the calendar in a monthly format to see games and practices all at once for the “grandparents” who are not tech savvy.

pgaleotti's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/20/18 9:16 PM
Updating my review since the app continues to improve. The ads have become less intrusive and therefore more tolerable. One problem that has yet to be fixed is the clearing of notifications from the lock screen...it doesn’t happen. Even after I visit the chat portion of the app and read the messages, I have to manually clear the notifications. What a pain!

brewski07's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/18/18 3:13 AM
This would be an amazing app and an easy 5 star review IF the developers would make some easy fixes to the messaging. First, there is no reason to have so many different options for communication. Just have one team chat function. The chat function is what allows managers and coaches to put something out and players and parents to respond. The others are not even needed. The alert function works for putting out last minute information but no one can respond to it. They have to then move the conversation into the team chat if they need to respond. Also, the notification function of the team chat is horrible. Our team is getting notifications approximately 30% of the time when someone sends a chat message. Also, add the app icon badge that lets you know when a chat message has been sent. That’s the easiest way to know you have a message. Make the team chat a one stop for all collaborative communications and this app would be perfect. If the “alert” is such an important function, add the ability to mark a chat as urgent and you have the same functionality but it is all in one place. These are easy changes and unless the communication features are improved, I will be encouraging my fellow coaches to seek a better app for managing their teams.
LoveSoftballGame's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/18/18 11:33 PM
Captures all our scheduling needs, but would love ability to group tournament games within a tournament event. Which would also provide both game and tournament stats. In chat- Would love simile set up to Facebook comments - ability to like, add gif, smiley, etc. Can’t post pictures in Posts or alerts, makes communicating all needs on one place.

Micjs1234's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/16/18 5:06 AM
The app still seems fragmented from the TeamSnap website, and you still have to use both. For example, you can view emails through the app, but you can only respond to them through the website. Team group chats only work through the app, but users who only use the website can’t view them. They don’t even get a notification that there are new messages on the team’s group chat. Assignments only work through the website, and are invisible through the app.
Jmwallerius's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/15/18 3:22 PM
Been using TeamSnap for 9 years and love it! A great feature would be the addition of a family picture to each player’s roster info. Best if the people in the pic could be tagged somehow. It’s easy to learn the player’s name but the hard part is associating the player to which family members since you usually meet them on the sidelines separately. This can remove the awkwardness of not knowing the parents names especially for a new family joining an established team.
InThePattern's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/15/18 2:50 PM
I used to be your biggest fan for team management. Once you moved to an ad model, it only slightly ticked me off. I don’t mind paying for apps, but not just remove ads. The added value should be more than just being less annoying. Now that I’ve received a handful of full screen ads with no ability to dismiss them at the most inopportune time, you’ve now lost my potential business. I’m taking my 6 teams and our 170+ users to GameChanger.
XxDream_FantasyxX's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 9/15/18 11:21 PM
I used to love TeamSnap, everything was easy to sort and you could easily leave teams. However now everything is extremely difficult. I can’t seem to figure out how to delete my old team and add my new one, and the help section isn’t up to date with anything! Incredibly disappointed and frustrated.

I’m paying monthly so there won’t be any ads displayed in the app. But for whatever reason, I will see ads from time to time and restoring subscription only results in error. When I first started using this app, I had no issues and it worked fairly well. As time went on and improvements were made, ads started to become more prominent to the point at which they are in annoying distraction now. Overall, the app is good. It does a good job of providing communication and information for management of a team. There is no option for a parent to to pay to avoid s***** ads. There is only the option to put up with the ads or if you were a team manager that needs more features, you can pay a monthly fee. A one time pay for no ads for player or a parent use, with no ads would be a smart idea.

zdlyn's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 8/3/18 7:41 PM
I’ve used this app for 3 seasons girls softball teams and it’s great - keeps team organized and parents informed. The thing that keeps it from getting 5 stars are the (too many) Messages options: Email doesn’t support reply all. You send an email out and it’s one and done. If you want to update that email, you have to compose a new email. Posts (Message Board) do not have attachment option. It would be helpful to pin a post at top with an important attachment so parents can refer back easily (instead of wading through emails). Alerts are confusing. I received a few alerts from a parent thinking it was sent to the whole team when it was just to me. Team Chat. I have no idea if everyone has seen a chat I’ve put out or if they even know how to access on their mobile phone app. People don’t tend to reply to chats, I think because it looks generic and you have no idea who’s reading - is it grandma, parent or friend who signed up kid? It would be great if your product team created a messaging option akin to a group text like whatsapp, where the user opts in a cell phone number and name to be used in a group where we can exchange messages, photos or attachments. This would replace team chat.

Daffofly's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 8/28/19 1:34 PM
I really like the app and use it quite frequently for my boys’ four sports teams; however, when I was randomly kicked out, the app wouldn’t recognize my password and failed to send me a link to reset my password - even after trying at least one dozen times. It is extremely difficult to contact the webmaster to try to resolve issues, which is why I gave the app three stars.
Casadelrob's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 8/28/19 1:34 PM
I think this is a decent app, actually I think it’s pretty great. However, as a little league manager and father of 2, I’m a little disappointed the tiered pricing that seems to be yet another expense that coaches have to shoulder. They give a free trial with all these perks then after it expires you realize you have no more features and you’re either used to operating in a 13.99 PER TEAM operating system or you need to scale back your team settings. I believe it’s a bit much to ask a coach to pay per team. At either $100 per team for most features, or $13.99 a month through the season, it’s yet another poke at coaches who are already donating their time, and often their own money to manage a team. So, for me this will be a one time deal. I don’t think I’ll return after this season, but I’m hooked in now at 10 a month x 2 x 4 months. Ugh. Having said that, if you don’t care about flushing money down the toilet for some great features, it is a good app. I just don’t think it’s worth that price for basic book keeping features. I pay less for Spotify. Play ball! Oh, and I’m not even sure what team snap plus is. I hoped that was the features, so I paid for that, I think that was a mistake bc I don’t even know what that gives me.

Schedule, team chat (better than standard text messaging because it is easier to add and drop people on the text), automated emails for scheduled items work great, I like the flexible statistics function. I wish the statistics worked better in the app so that we could track statistics in the app instead of on paper and then transfer it into computer version of app. It tracks wins losses as our roster set up. Plan to keep using it and use the premium package.

As a player myself and using this I feel like it helps me a lot, when I’m on the bus in the afternoon or at school making plans I check and make sure I don’t have soccer. It shows who we are playing which is nice to know bc we remember who we play like how good they are and what not. I like this app but I feel like logging on process is a struggle for me and my mom.
kgodsea's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 8/28/19 1:34 PM
The app needs a calendar view option and when we paid for the Ultra version it should not have adds on my players and no players account. When signing parents up under a child, the parent sends a team chat or email and it comes up as the child’s (player) name. So it is confusing as to who is send the chat. Other than that the platform is great, just needs a few tweaks.
BoSoxSully59's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 8/28/19 1:34 PM
I downloaded this app only for my personal use & for me to create a roster for my team. I entered my players info & Team Snap automatically bombarded all my players with useless eMails I didn’t authorize to send. Over the nextv24 hrs everyone received 4 more eMails. I’ve tried to find a Contact Us but they do not have a phone #, I tried their knowledge base but there’s no easy clear cut way to delete my account. I filled out their online eMail submission & when you hit send it brings you back to their knowledge base. They clearly just want your information & don’t offer any support where you can speak to someone nor do they have an online chat. This app shouldn’t be allowed in the App Store...

Refresh time is painstakingly slow with a large team. There is no way to list roster in alphabetical order by last name - it goes by first name, which is very frustrating when using the RSVPs to fill out a lineup program that goes by last name. Also, availability preferences are for all games, so there’s no way to set an RSVP cut off for different times for different games.

I’ve been using the free version for the past 3 seasons managing my son’s Little League baseball team. I’ve been using another app for lineup management. I decided to look into the premium subscription here to be able to manage the roster, messages, lineup, and positions all in one app. $14 a month or $100 per year? Seriously, I think you guys would have more premium members and make even more money if it was more reasonably priced for Little League coaches such as myself. I’ll stick to Pocket Coach and the free version until it is priced more reasonably.
PKSingler's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 8/22/18 8:34 PM
There are some nice features but it doesn’t live up to its potential. I feel like I wasted $100. The worst part of this app is the lack of customer service. I couldn’t speak with anyone on the phone, only live chat or email, which is not enough and not nearly as effective. That is the main reason I am giving a 1 star. I would give 0 if I could. I feel it all comes down to customer service. As a coach my app doesn’t have ads but all of my players are swamped with ads. That stinks The boys can’t enter their own stats. The link between mobile phone and computer is not fluid. You can’t do the same things on both. For example. I would like to pick the roster for my next match. Very easy to do in the mobile app but not at all for the computer, in fact I still haven’t been able to figure it out. I never leave this type of review but I am so frustrated by their lack of care for my well being. I’m sure there is another app out there that can do much of the same or more than Team Snap.

I hate this app. It is so commercial it feels invasive. I’m only getting messages via my email. They do not appear in the group chat even though I have it turned on in settings. Turning group chat on and off is the only setting you can change btw. Signing up was a pain even with the link. And TeamReach was much more user friendly and less redundant. I mean why have group chat AND messages via email? If we were going to communicate via email what do we need the app for? I seriously wish my son’s team had not switched.

Jsw51's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 8/19/18 9:52 PM
First off, the concept of this app is great. Our team really uses all aspects of it. That being said, the programmers really need to fix the many bugs in the program. Such as: if you update/change a photo using the browser version, the iOS app doesn’t not update or sync. The only way to get this to happen is to delete the iOS app and re-download it. Then the new info is there. This needs to be done every time there is an info change via the browser version. Also, when uploading a photo with the required specs, the app still chops off the players heads. The only work around I found was putting a large border around the photo, so the crop wouldn’t cut off most of the picture. I would love to give this app 5 stars, but it is beyond frustrating to get things to sync up between devices. If I’m missing something here, I’d love to know a short cut rather than deleting the app and re-downloading it. Please fix “what could be a great" app!

Great app to keep up with all the team’s info! Love using it as a platform to share photos, but as an amateur photographer shooting an entire weekend of travel ball I may have 50-100 (or more!) pics to share of the team. If I’m mistaken please point me in the right direction, but currently you have to load just one pic at a time from your camera roll. 😫 I still prefer it to FB bc there’s always that one parent who isn’t on FB, but I would love to be able to upload 10-20 pics at a time like other platforms.
JamieOno's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 7/21/18 1:47 PM
At first this was a 5 Star even with the flaw. And if I can rate the customer service, it would be 6 Stars. However the only part that irritates me is the payments section. When you add a new player on an existing roster, all of the past dues are added. Irritating to delete one payment at a time but doable when the team is new. One year in to this app and I added 3 new players, I had to delete months of payments one at a time for each girl, other wise it says they owe $2000 (or what ever your dues are). Now it’s a royal pain to add players. I submitted a request to improve the payment feature a few times over the year but nothing has been done yet. Once that is fixed, this app goes back to 5 Stars.

Also ads that sometimes pop up and move the screen as you are about to tap something and causes you tap the wrong thing.
Christina Combs's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 7/17/18 3:04 AM
The app is great for sports teams. The only problem is that when I have changed my plan or ended billing, they continue to charge me! There is no help desk to fix their error as I am doing everything they tell me to do to cancel my plan! So the 2 starts is for the convenience of team scheduling and having a roster at your finger tips. Otherwise I would say unsubscribing seems nearly impossible at this point!

I’ve been using TeamSnap for 2 years and have found it a very useful tool for notifying my Cub Scouts and lacrosse team. Highly recommend this for anyone who has regularly scheduled events and often forgets to send out reminders because the app does that for you as well

JMullyDeuce's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 6/8/18 9:56 AM
You can’t search for and subscribe to teams like in more robust competing apps. Very bare bones, no easy help or customer service options and the documentation is non/existent in the app. Went back in pursuant to the response below and found the help link. Says to delete my account I need to leave or retire all teams. I clicked those links to see how to do so and they were blank pages. Amateur hour design wise.

I unfortunately think as a parent think this is a rip-off. We as parents already pay to use TeamSnap as part of the team and then you want us to pay again. I absolutely refuse to do it. It is the most ridiculous thing ever.

If you are a manager and you have elected to pay the monthly fee for the unlocking of certain features then ads should be disabled. I believe it was this way in the past and it seems the developer has gotten greedy and now forces ads on everyone.

I use this app for 3 different teams. There’s a toggle switch at the top to allow you theoretically to switch between the teams. Unfortunately, I end up tapping on this button 20-30 times before it will actually bring me to the list of teams to choose from. It’s very frustrating. Why doesn’t the toggle switch work every time??
Crabbs42's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 6/18/18 7:43 PM
I’ve been using this app for many sports teams throughout the years! I have one suggestion for the app though, often times coaches from high school or college coaches ask for my schedule, but there is no option to send it directly from TeamSnap! I would love to see this feature be added into the app in the near future!

Had to pay subscription to make it worth while. Some of the online capabilities should be included in the app. Esp, stats tracking. It would also be nice to have some in game ability to record things like scores. At the very least, we should be able to keep a note on the match within the app.

We were charged and expected to finish out the month of service. I cancelled(so I wouldn’t forget) and they removed our account - even though we paid for it. By the time they responded, 5 days later, our last game was over. Although I cancelled, they reinstated our service and keep charging us. No one responds to emails and I have no way to cancel since our account shows us with no active teams. Frustrating to say the least. We will find another service for our next season!

I can now only have 20 people on the roster between players, coaches and club admin. Connecting via the PC is dreadfully slow (have tried at multiple locations). iPhone app works fine but the overall free service is not as useable now and the cost for the upgrade seems higher than other options. Have been a user for 4 years but now having to make a change.
jjkahshdnw's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 6/1/18 2:15 PM
Response time for customer service is poor and the lack of a phone number to call for team commissioners is frustrating. The basic end user set-up is ok but if I can’t set-up my teams, the app interactions don’t matter.

Best features in my opinion: Import games schedules. Check player availability & send reminders to players that have not updated availability. Send emails/alerts - for example rain delays I manage two soccer teams & this app makes it so easy. I have used other apps & they do not come close to this.

Great app for organization and communication for baseball. It lacks a live scorebook to auto populate stats and line up cards. This would eliminate the need to use another app to do what this app should do. It would eliminate needing to enter stats manually.

Looks like team snap is loosing a lot of love over this last update. Now why did you have to go and change a good thing? New users won’t “see” the difference so you’ll still get 4 and 5 star ratings from them. Those of us who have used it for years now notice ant the new format is inconvenient and horrid! Get a clue and listen to your customers! Or, continue to ignore their feedback and put the money before them. Either way, team snap, you will reveal your true colors. You get to decide if it’s going to have the “face” of your customers or the of the all mighty $ sign. Congratulations on earning a 1 star rating!

Jmkreview's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 5/19/18 1:28 PM
The only current way to pay for premium services is through an annual pass or automatically renewing monthly payments. I coach little kids who’s average season is about 6 weeks. I’m fine paying for 2 months worth of services but don’t want to have to remember to go into the app and turn off the monthly payments after the season is done. It would be preferable to pay for the length of time needed up front and not have to set a reminder to log back in and unsubscribe after the season is done.

I have used this app for a couple years with my soccer team. Just this last month when her games begins the app stopped working and starting showing that I needed to be invited. Worked for me before. I contacted the coach and he couldn’t invite me as it showed I was already joined. Now my daughter is playing softball and her coach just sent an invited. Didn’t receive that. I have tried contacting via messenger on Facebook and never got a reply. Now I emailed customer support hopefully I will get something back from that. Contacting via email is such a joke. What happened to talking one on one 🙄
Chasing Kris's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 5/14/18 2:23 PM
I’ve been a soccer mom for 10 years and also coached for 5 years, so I’ve had to use many different communication tools over the years. Teamsnap has been the best at getting parents up to date from the Coach and also at bringing parents together. For older teams, we love the Live Game feature because we aren’t at all the games now that our kids drive. For our younger teams, it’s great because we share photos and plan off field team events easily. I have problems with being the owner of multiple accounts and teams (older kids have their own, and it causes issues with mine because I get listed twice), I also wish the customer service were more prominent because I don’t know how to fix these issues! Lastly, they should make it more obvious to Coaches which messages actually text parents (is it alerts, messages or mail..our coaches get it mixed up!). Overall, I LOVE this app.

ohiotickhead's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/7/18 2:15 PM
New format is disappointing and frustrating. Used to be so easy to use. Transitioning from team to team is more difficult now. Was a much better app before the changes. Developers need to honor the old saying “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”
Missyjane79's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/5/18 1:01 PM
My son is on 3 soccer teams and they all use Team Snap to schedule games and practice. I upgraded to the paid version so I could view all teams on one schedule and the recent update has made this feature less usable. I will definitely cancel after the 30 day trial. I don’t like that it opens in the last schedule I viewed and I liked the only version because when I opened the app, it listed my 3 teams and there was an option at the bottom to view the combined schedule. It’s just not user friendly now.

Rts316's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/3/18 9:12 PM
I have 4 teams that I need to look at for my kids’ sports. The new update has made it more difficult to view the teams! This app was much easier to use before this last update. Now I need to log in every time, even though I’ve clicked on the stay logged in, then try to find my kids team. It was easier when I just clicked on the app, all the teams popped up, I clicked on the team I needed to view, then schedule or whatever I needed to look at was right there! It was great...but now, after this last update, not so much👎🏽
Jp_fielding's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/3/18 6:54 PM

I used to love this app, however the new pop up ad feature has ruined it completely. For example, when trying to do anything a pop up window overtakes the entire screen. Now you can’t close this and get back to the app, you must click on the ad which takes you to your web browser. From there you need to navigate back to the app. This is a frustrating experience to say the least especially if you are trying to do anything that is time sensitive.

Been using TeamSnap for years. Last updates made id more difficult to use if you have more than two team. The latest ux update added a lot of friction to switch between teams. For an app that suppose to Save time that’s counter productive The ads are a real nuisance. I get they want to make money but our teams do pay each year. Telling us to pay more by charging players is very questionable tactic with consumers and will likely drive users away. I’m already looking for an alternative. Poor choices team snap.

If you are a team manager, use this app. If you’re a team parent, ask your manager to use it. If you’re a coach, get ALL YOUR TEAMS on it. I’m not an app user but I manage two teams and could absolutely not do it without Teamsnap.
mom2eo's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/15/18 1:34 PM
With multiple teams for multiple kids, this has always been a great tool. However now it defaults to the last team I was viewing and then when you go to the home viewer it has create a new team as the top pick. How often is someone creating a new team versus looking at their team. The old look was much more user friendly-open the app and pick the team I need to view. Also, not sure how you can fix the multiple accounts per team. I have an account, but when my child is created by the coach they get an account, so when There are alerts there are multiple views I have to do. I like the fact that at least now I can go In and clear the extra alerts via a drop down at the top, but just wish I didn’t have two accounts per team.

AyyoCarlos14's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/14/18 3:57 PM
I downloaded this app to help a college that I am part of communicate better and it has been amazing at doing just that. Everyone loves it however there are a few that could use some fixes, for example it would be great to be able to upload multiple photos at once and also video upload through the app not just online. One thing that we use a lot in our group is the group chat and that could use some improvements as like maybe support for third party keyboards from the AppStore as well as video and maybe gif support. I hope this feedback is helpful in helping improve the application.
I read the summaries's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/14/18 1:35 PM
This app is really helpful for my soccer teams (and my debate team). I can see who else is going to show up to games and practices and can see if it’s worth it to actually go. Beyond that, I don’t know if most people read the update summaries, but the TeamSnap people put in effort to make them hilarious. Also informative, but always good for a laugh!

heysailor53's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/13/18 12:13 PM
Team Snap needs to display a red number on its icon when a message has been posted by the team. Every other app it seems uses this method to alert you to something that is new or needs action. Sending out a Team Snap email doesn’t get the job done if you’re a Hugh volume email user.
Efr24's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/12/18 2:05 AM
Since the last update this app is terrible. The user interface is poorly planned out and hard to navigate. Important items fall right where your fingers naturally are changing availability without confirmation taps.
lellolicious's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/12/18 12:33 AM
This used to be such a great, simple app, but recent updates make me dread using it. On my iPhone 5S, sometimes an ad will completely block my ability to access my daughter's team. Clicking the x to close it (I tried 5 times) just opens up the ad. On my iPhone 7, sometimes I go in loops teying to figure out how to get from one team schedule to another. Today I needed to see where to pick up my son in 30 mins and it skipped over the current day and took me to the next event (in 2 days), so I ended up going to the wrong location. Please thoroughly test these changes before you implement them!

Putermoc's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/10/18 8:12 PM
I have been using Teamsnap for years, and I have always found it to be a great app to use with my kid’s soccer teams. However with the upgrade to the new format, things aren’t as easy to use as they used to be, especially with multiple kids across multiple teams. With the new format, many of the functions that I use as a team manager (Teamsnap Live, Payments, Tracking) are no longer on the main page for the team, they are now buried on a second page of buttons at the bottom of the screen. Despite using the new app for the better part of a month now, I still find myself muddling around trying to find things and switch between teams. Also, I feel like the ads have gotten more obtrusive with this latest update...
PunkinJson's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 4/10/18 11:33 AM

The new update is not easy. Difficult to navigate with multiple teams. Can’t return to home screen without closing app. Why is account info on top of screen? I liked having my teams on top. Now need to scroll down.
Watchin the Wheels Go Round's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 3/4/18 1:23 AM
This is a very popular easy to use team app. Have used it for years on many teams. One nice feature is the photo sharing ability built in under the “media’ tab. They include a generous amount of space and you can upload full-res photos which can then be shared by team members. The one downside is viewing. The standard viewer is 4x6, and it does not support using keyboard arrows like windows and other apps to scroll through the pictures. Instead you have to click the little next or previous arrows above the pick. Very monotonous and uncomfortable. Even more annoying is if you want to see the full size image you can click on the picture, but there are no controls to go to the next (or previous) pic! And since they don’t support keyboard direction keys, you have to figure out for yourself what to do. Which is hit your browser back button to take you back to the previous screen. Hard to believe something so simple (yet important) to basic functionality was overlooked. Hopefully they’ll add it soon.

This app was much easier to view in the previous version. Now it’s hard to figure out. The app is not as intuitive. It’s also confusing to switch between teams. The app needs to be streamline a bit and easier to view. It’s s very difficult with multiple kids and multiple teams.

Coach32400's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 3/28/18 12:41 AM
Team Snap has been my favorite app for years but I am extremely frustrated with update. I liked when I went into the app, I saw all three teams and could choose which child to look at. Now, it comes up with last team I was on. I’m not sure why the change was made but now there is extra time spent locating the team I want to view (as opposed to being on screen when I tap the app). Please consider going back to old way.
Jenstheone's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 3/27/18 5:48 PM
I am a diehard TeamSnap user and really loved (and relied on) this the app for many years... until recently. Ads being placed within schedules while updating availability is beyond annoying, and this week’s UI overhaul is awful. I have to tap and click in too many places now, whereas before the app was simple and clean, with a single click on an icon instead of several clicks within drag down menus. Because of these changes, I now have to search for my kids’ multiple teams, and then search for the functions within their TeamSnap site, which has made this app more time consuming. Worse yet, I don’t see teammates updating their availability regularly anymore, probably because of this bad update. Please go back to a simpler, cleaner, and time saving way of navigating this app ... and get rid of ads in scheduling update sections!
Stunt49's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 3/27/18 12:58 PM
New update now includes Click Bait "Ads"... Keeps getting worse and worse. Bring the old team snap back!! This app rocked!! It did what is was supposed to. Now, the ads are insanely obtrusive. What a shame the app went downhill so fast.

I am trying to use this app to setup a roster and game schedule for an 11/12 year old baseball team. I find that sometimes it will allow me to add family to a players information and sometimes it will not. It would be great to be have the capability of pulling the parents information from my contacts without the player field automatically be populated with the parents name. Is there any way that you can check some of these inconsistencies and do an update? Thank you-
Jack476's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 3/23/18 4:47 AM
As a team manager, I love this app. Super convenient and easy to use. Only thing I wish it had was the ability to change a player to the “injured” list. App has the option to change a player to “non-player” but that doesn’t really apply in these cases and we’ve had 2 players this season out on injuries.

THEONE05(DJ K1234)'s Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 2/8/18 5:12 AM
Pros: It’s an easy app to set up I can text and send emails at my phone Stats(could use work) Cons When I send an attachment you can’t view it in the app or in your email. So they have to login from a computer. Stats (need a new layout) I hate the how you can add five people to one name. I want to be able to tell players and non players apart. No emergency contact section. Only 1 person can roll over the team to a new season. No notice that people got your text or read your email. Give me a check mark that have read it!
Coachs perspective's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 2/5/18 11:45 AM
Great app. Spend the money on the full access and get your team on board to only communicate to through one app. If you really get parents and players on board, it will remove a lot of communication problems, drama, and repeated questions. You do need one person to really make sure all info is communicated once then the system will send a reminder. Encourage all players and parents to use app on their phones. When a question arises, refer them there. All players can get email from site. No more asking manager for it. Can separate messages to certain players. No more long strings of reply all. Have your players mark availability and no more questions of where is coming or not. Have a player that is sick, not it in there availability. Beat thing is parents can subscribe to calendar and it will import to their calendar. No more manual inputs. If manager change game Love this app!

The families on my son’s team pay over $100 yearly for this service and there’s ads on every screen. I can understand there being ads on the free version but on the paid service as well!? I emailed team snap and they responded by telling me subscription fees only cover about half the “true” cost of the service. You guys need to fire whoever made that business decision. When I pay for service on my car they don’t get to slap a bunch of bumper stickers on. Ridiculous!
njAndrew's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 2/11/18 1:39 PM
Used to love the app, still use it but the placement and amount of adds is annoying. Our teams pays for the team upgrade but now thy want every player to pay also. Not bad if it was 1.99-4.99 a year but 2.99 a month? Crazy and overpriced. I hope a competitor can pick up on this so i and my team can switch.

Team Snap charges a decent amount of money for each team. I get that, it’s how they make money and is worth the value. What I don’t get is they SPAM advertisements up for everyone using the app and is very annoying. All you want to do is see the details of an upcoming game and you have to wait 15 seconds for a s***** advertisement. Wait, our team already paid good money to use the app. Why do we get treated like dirt?

Zulmeister717's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 12/7/17 2:44 AM
Its free to check on our kids schedule and is very convenient. However, I have deleted from my phone because it continues to notify me of nothing. It says there are numbers notification at the home screen of my phone and when I open the app there are none. It just continues to get me to buy the subscription. Now the iPad is doing the same. I will be bringing a vote to out team in the spring to choose another app to manage our team and steer others away. Unless of course fake news or fake notifications are what you're into.
GadjitMonger's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 12/6/18 12:28 PM
My second review. I hope lots of users read this and ask their team managers to abandon this platform. Sure, they lured in users with some well executed features, but it seems the plan was bait and switch. Not only do they charge a usage fee for the team management, but they abuse the team participants with advertisements on every click, and are charging a crazy fee for an ad free experience. It’s one step short of extortion. I used to love this app, now I hate it. I hope the owners of this company crash and burn on what appears to be a money grab IPO start-up play. Your greed is detestable. How about fewer features and an ad free experience. I mean do parents really need real time score when they are on the sidelines watching the game. Shameless commercialism. Vote with you wallet and put these money grubbers out of business. Ask your coach to find a new app. There are others out there who are not exploiting you and your kids.
Teretta2k's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 12/5/18 12:27 PM
We love this app. Honestly what’s best, are the update explanations. HILARIOUS! The only one issue I have is the merging of 2 teams. There should be that option. It shouldn’t matter how many teams you have on your account, there should be a way to view them all. One other thing... why can’t it pull forward to my google calendar? I find myself going back and forth, and with the multiple teams on the account, it’s difficult to understand what’s expected of me for the day. Keep up the great work everyone!!
Nick none's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 12/5/18 12:27 PM
The app used to be easy to use, the new design makes most tasks more difficult. The difference between controls and information is no longer clear, the schedule is keeps scrolling back to historical events in the list view, it would be easy go on and on. Please bring back the previous, usable design - we need the app to be functional not “pretty”.

Mom- Main account's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 12/4/17 4:16 PM
This app came highly recommended and I’ve used it for about six months now but I’m not in love with it. I’ve had to resort to other apps to send messages to my team because through the Phone app I cannot send attachments. It is so frustrating, & time consuming, that I have to wait until I get home & log into my computer to send a file or pictures to my team. Most of the time I need to send a file or a picture while I’m out and I can’t do it from the app on my phone. I have even tried going in through Safari or Google on my phone and logging into my Team Snap & I still cannot attach a file or pic. Also when I do send an attachment in a message from my computer my parents using the phone app cannot see that attachment when they look at their messages & have to go to their email or log into it from their computer. Another huge plus I have found with the other app is that I can schedule emails or alerts to go out at a certain date & time and that I have found is such a huge help for a busy team parent/coach. If you could make these improvements he would make this so much more user-friendly. Especially for on the go busy people. There are some great aspects to this app but these few things are pretty important and without them I won’t be using this again next season. Thx!!

Rules Lawyer's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 12/20/17 3:12 PM
Whatever utility I initially found in the TeamSnap free app for my kid's soccer team just burst into a dumpster fire of clunky ads and poorly located popups. There is even an ad touching the logo for our team in the opening screen, so if you are not careful, some poor advertiser will pay for a click and you will throw your phone on the floor in frustration. Please get these crazy ads and popups under control again. Free apps are expected to be somewhat useful with a certain amount of advertising, but this update is exactly what I needed to go back to the group email list for game updates.

I’ve tried to no avail to figure out why TeamSnap emails are now listed as anything other than the team sending the email. I have two kids on two different teams (same club) I’m receiving emails listed for a 16 year old under my 11 year old. Each team is listed differently and now my emails make zero sense. I’ve tried to update them based on sender and that didn’t work. What a nightmare this has been.

I don’t typically read the app update notes but I happened to today and I find yours especially amusing and needed it today. So thanks. I currently use the free version of the app but in the past have used the paid version. The paid version is absolutely better and ideal in all ways. I don’t use it anymore because my team’s parents are ungrateful whiners so I’m not going to pay to make their lives easier - yeah I’m bitter. There needs to be a part of the app that gives team managers little zen pep talks 🙏🏻
JakeRoux's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 12/17/18 12:14 PM
New user, so perhaps I’m still low on the learning curve. However, after experimenting with both the app and the desktop site, the app almost appears to be an afterthought. Functionality from desktop site such as team store and posts does not appear to flow through to the app even though there are placeholders for such. In search of one easy to manage mobile app to replace texting and emails for team notifications. So far, this does not seem to be it.
JMarie5711's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 12/17/18 12:14 PM
This app worked great until the latest update, with removal of the ability to keep time and score real time! Why remove a feature that most Team managers used to help communicate with parents who cannot be at games?
Fletch F Fletch Esq.'s Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 12/17/18 12:14 PM
PROs: This app is great. Easy to add teams from multiple sports to organize practices, games, field locations, notes, etc. Also seamless integration with Applemaps or Waze (dependent on team manager putting right gps location into teamsnap). Ability to view schedule by sport, or across all teams for an overview of all the sports-related shuttling you have to plan around for the next month is indispensable. I literally cannot think of any way to make it more efficient to manage multiple kids in multiple sports. CON: it is great to be able to share files as attachments to team communications (documents, pictures of the team, etc.). This can only be done via computer, not tablet or mobile device. This is absurd in the year 2018. Every app on every mobile device has seamless ability to take a picture and attach to whatever communication is being sent. If anyone minding the shop cares about the customer experience, someone in the brain-trust at Teamsnap will put someone on a project to add this feature, and in 6 Months we’ll all enjoy it.
your kilking me smalls's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 12/17/18 12:14 PM
We have been using TeamSnap for many seasons. I coach multiple sports teams so pay a good deal of money per team. As a coach it’s great gives me a place to update rosters , contacts, houses all my sports in a nice place. The stats portion, payments and the Social space for pictures and chat is nice. Some bugs but overall was satisfied. Seen a very strict drop off in utilization by parents didn’t understand why until was met with a very frustrated group of parents in our team meeting and seen that to not be shown adds they needed to pay monthly for TeamSnap + . Insane.. the adds were taking up majority of the screen and obscuring the needed details. As a coach this Was a good tool. If we are going to be asked to pay fees to use but in turn hit our players with unwanted adds what’s the point is paying the hefty fees? Use the free sites and get the same level of features (and more in some cases) and save the money for a new bench each year. This was an unfortunate change that as a coach I was blind to. Disappointing. Without the adds would be a 3-4 Star if some bugs are fixed. With adds 1 Star . Better to use the free sites at least there you are sacrificing some annoyance for price. Here you pay and still get hit..

I purchased an annual subscription not knowing that it can only be used for one team. When I inquired about adding another team with the same options I was told that I need to get the club or league App. They were going to have a member of their sales team contact me to discuss changing my subscription over and the possibility of prorating the amount they I had already paid. That was a month ago and I have still not received a response back even when I emailed them twice. Poor customer service!!! Their team app part works great and is a good source of communication. I would like to use it for the rest of my teams. But if I get no response the only alternative is to search for another app. Again thumbs up for the app BUT thumbs down for customer service. They should practice communication like their app does

Team snap use to be good, and I manage a team where we are a paying team of $129 a month, yet now they spam all my players with ADs in this app, and they spam all my players with ADs in each email you send. I don't understand why a team that is a paying team has to put up with these ADs. They want to charge EACH PLAYER $2.99 A MONTH to remove ADs from the app. Not just a one time fee, A MONTHLY FEE. So disappointing, because it use to be a great product. Now it's just going down hill.

Nothing in this app is working for my family and I. My mom has two daughters, my sister and I, and it won’t let her make to accounts or anything. It won’t even let my dad make one account, and her make the other for my sister. It’s really stupid. Also, it won’t let me even log in or join my team on the actual app. It only lets me do it on Safari, but to even get the home and schedule just on Safari, I have to go to my Email, scroll all the way down and click the link. That to me is stupid. This app needs a lot of work overall.

Although the recent app update indicated that they fixed this problem, my unread message/alert count is completely off from what I have actually read. I tried to fix this by logging into the website and reading the messages there (a second time), but that didn't work either. Is there going to be another fix pushed out? This is really annoying, with multiple teams to track and no accurate indication of missed messages.

When an email is sent you cant click on it in the app and respond you have to go to your email acct. so whats the point of the app. Forced to use by my soccer team or I WOULD NOT USE IT. Pictures when viewing are slow to view and is very time consuming AGAIN NOT USER FRIENDLY 2 stars cuz its free

Is there a reason why the red badge number icon does not show up for messages/chats in iOS? This would be very helpful. Thanks!
mahshie's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 11/16/18 7:31 PM
Please spend less time writing clever release notes and more time paying attention to UX. Removing the ability to send team emails was either a terrible decision or a hard choice that you failed to explain. We can no longer forward emails from the coach or club to our teams.

Since the last update 11/14 I can’t login anymore. Please fix it!
Mzabrisk's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 11/14/17 12:27 AM
It is truly a great app- it works for my son’s team, and more importantly it allows for a small shred of parental sanity in the midst of the various activities in which we are all involved. I also appreciate the sense of humor the developers show when releasing new versions- they are quite funny and worth a quick read. Hopefully Bethany didn’t have to wait in line too long for the new iPhone.
Ventvixen's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 11/13/17 3:27 PM
My icon shows 11 notifications . There is new in the app- no new messages or chats or emails so why won’t this clear? It’s annoying
Mrstwhite's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 11/13/17 10:54 PM
I have to tell you how great it is to read your update notes. They are so witty and fun and really just puts a smile on my face. It proves there are people out there with a sense of humor and I’m so glad it can be expressed at work! You all are great!! P.S. I enjoy the app too! ;-)

We can receive notifications but cannot view or respond to messages in the app. Get the spinning circle. Have reloaded and restarted multiple times. Clunky app.

We've used this app for years. Super easy, they consistently make improvements/updates, I tried a competitor that was cheaper this year (just because). I was back within 1 week....don't waste your time. Easily the best value out there

Showing notifications for teams that have already been clicked on and viewed. Will not go away.
AAHC's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 11/11/18 9:58 PM
The app is well laid out and it’s truly easy to use, even for multiple different teams. However, on the schedule tab there isn’t an option to add all events (practice / games) to the calendar all at once. You have to add each practice and game one by one which it’s really tedious. I’m sure the technology allows it to be done. Another suggestion is to be able to see all at once all the different teams using the app (schedules) to see if there are any overlaps. I have 2 kids both of their teams using the Snap app and had to write down everyone’s games to see if they overlapped, which defeats the purpose of having them all in one place electronically.
JImFred10's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 11/10/18 12:23 AM
This app is good at first, but once you start getting into the meat of using it the problems arise. No badge icon to notify of new posts, alerts, etc... Additionally the supposed easy notifications do not work half of the time and I end up with players/ parents who are uninformed. The worst part about it is that you don’t see any of these flaws until you have paid for the extra options, which don’t work. Good luck trying to get assistance as well, as you may receive an email reply a week or so after you fill out the online help request. Yes that’s right, you can’t talk to or chat with a human being in real time, unless you pay extra for that also. Get with the times and update your apps capabilities or you will be losing users nonstop.
soccerh15's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 11/10/17 5:29 AM
After the recent update when I click on view as......I get view as a certain person twice! Which is annoying because it looks like I hadn’t read an email/alert but I already did, I just didn’t read the second one which is the same person. FIX PLEASE’

Currently using for 3 separate hockey programs. Notifications and syncing are my complaints. Calendar sync with iOS is slow, by hours. No useful app badging, app should have a badge for new events, chats, emails, etc. also need a good way to reply to an email other than creating a new email. Other than that we wouldn’t be able to do all these programs without this. Not sure how my parents participated in sports without something like this.
Jw98765's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 11/1/18 12:00 PM
This app is very frustrating to use. The communication options are useless. There is no way to easily communicate with other team parents to organize supplies or carpools. You can post messages and they show up in email but you can’t reply to a group message on email.
Jody Doc's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 10/7/18 11:33 AM
This app has saved us from so many typical headaches that go along with hockey. We keep finding new ways to use it and then we have more time to enjoy the hockey season.

Used by lazy coaches. Ad laden app. Never could figure out how to print a full game and practice schedule. My spouse received a practice cancellation and I did not. Why? The whole app is designed to sell products and show ads.

Our team pays to use team snap yet team snap puts ads on all their pages now taking up 10-20% of the phone screen. The lost screen space significantly impacts the user experience. Bad decision by team snap to sell out its users for what... a $0.30 CPM?

When i select an Availability on the Schedule screen for an event in the list, it doesn’t actually reflect that when you select that specific event and look under the Availability tab. Also, i don’t see the Notification icon on the app, even though i get the notifications on my phone drop down.

Moo Map's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 10/18/17 1:58 PM
Just updated today. I don't know which specific app update brought the ads but they are heeeere! 2.99/month seems steep for following a seasonal team as free. I wish the developer had stated that ads were being added in the update info. 2.99/mo x12mo x 70 swim team members =$2,511 from one team/year.
Debby61257's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 10/16/18 1:31 PM
I’ve come to the conclusion that TeamSnap is not tennis friendly and will not be renewing after this season. 1. I’m frustrated that I have to be constantly verifying that the team has received my communications. With no reply options, all communication has been outside of the app. That was the whole point of using the premium service, to eliminate the long email threads, and all the different ways of communication create confusion for the less tech savvy users. 2. The differences between the features of the app vs. website are too confusing to team members. While I recognize that most people want their phone to be the primary device for access, some team members have a preference for their computers. Make the features fluid regardless of which device they choose to use. (This a specific complaint regarding a feature. For $13.99 monthly and as the captain of a tennis team, I should have the ability to create lineups regardless of which device I’m working on. Team members should be able to view the lineup in any device.) 3. All communications sent by the captain should save automatically. I sent an alert yesterday through the app, received a response from one teammate, but there’s no history of the alert being sent in TeamSnap. 4. Change the availability terminology options. Yes, no and maybe are sufficient responses. The use of the word “going” is confusing to the team, especially if they’re not actually scheduled to play. 5. Another communication issue specific to the lineup; when I send out the lineup, the communication goes as an email or text, but doesn’t actually display the lineup. The member then has to go to the app to view the lineup. Too many steps.
mscotthall's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 10/15/18 1:00 AM
This was a great app until it mysteriously stopped working. Their idea of “customer service” is leading you through a maze of questions and forms that ends in a message saying you’ll get an email. No email sent. Now no way to contact my players’ parents easily about a change in practice schedule for this week. When you pay for an app like this, dependable customer service and solutions to tech issues should be included.

SickandTiredoftheCrashing's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 10/12/17 11:46 PM
I used to love this app. It was easy to use and communicate with the entire team and coaching staff. Now it is full of ads that take up the bottom quarter of the screen. Our team manager has the paid version to allow access to additional information but we are still forced to have a part of those additional items covered by irrelevant advertising. I guess I'll just use the app to add the schedule to my calendar and send text messages when we can't make a training session or game...
KimboECU1's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 10/12/17 10:49 PM
The app has been a lifesaver when it comes to organizing the games and who is available to be put in the lineup. It would be really nice if you could post videos in the TeamSnap live area rather than just photos. Overall, the app works really well.

max_ayerbe's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 1/6/18 3:05 PM
I have been using this tool for many years and it is very helpful for coaches and team managers but I have gradually noticed this app getting more expensive each year with more questionable tactics to make money. Suddenly there are pop ups asking for registration for unwanted merchandise. Some of the necessary features which were previously free now require a subscription. The PayPal payment feature comes with high transaction fees and appears to market unauthorized transactions. I realize this is a business and they are trying to make a profit but lately it just feels like they are getting greedy. Looking forward to seeing some new competition in this space with a more reasonable cost model for coaches and families on a budget.
Fanchon Stults's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 1/3/18 1:09 PM
It would be more helpful if you could Put the red number when there is a new message in the app. I miss a lot of team messages because the notification goes off the screen. I like all the options of this app but a competing team app has the number of messages on it and that just makes it more valuable to me.
tdk316's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 1/3/18 11:26 AM
Used to be a fantastic app with minimal ads (which I was fine with) but it’s recently changed to pop up ad hell. And yes, the team springs for the paid version! So frustrating that every time the app opens there’s a pop up ad that requires clicking on to close. What’s the point of getting the paid version? More advanced features we don’t use AND pop ups? It was a great product that’s been ruined by an overzealous marketing manager.

techiemomof1's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 1/22/18 11:28 AM
I use the app for our school team sport but I don’t love it. There is the annoying ads banner and I won’t pay $1.99/month to remove it. Given the limitations for team members, it’s of no value to me. I’d be willing to pay $1.99 annually as is the case with other apps. One issue I have is the notifications badge number doesn’t clear. I have looked and checked everything in the team app and aside from disabling it, the badge number remains the same.

Does 90% of the basic team management really well. Other stuff is not fully capable or thought through. Would give it a five but there is still room for improvement and some items like the team store are not mature - but then again, do you really need it? Overall - Teams members like it. Wish they had line/shift management to make game time easier. Overall - I have used different apps for other teams and the kids sports teams and this one has by far the better intuitive experience.
Pilotboy72's Review of TeamsnapReviewed on 1/20/18 5:31 PM
For the longest time TeamSnap was completely ad-free. Now they add ads even though the teams are paying to use the app. Completely unacceptable and greedy, not to mention that the ads take up real estate on the screen that was previously used for chat and other purposes.

Tram Snap is perfect for coaches and players and their families. It keeps track of all your practices and games and dates and times and notifies you by email or text. And when I say “You” I mean the coaches l, parents of the players, grand parents, aunts uncles because you can add whoever you want to be notified of the players games. It’s awesome. Hockey Coach.

I have 3 kids and eight teams to keep track of. TeamSnap organizes all the info I need for each, all the way to looking up the field number as I'm pulling into a sports complex. I only have only problem which is minor. On one of my teams the alerts from the coach and manager in the message center keep showing the badge app icon even thought I've opened every one. I have to remember what the running number is to know if there's a new one or not. Right now it shows 54 unread messages. Thanks for a great app!

TeamSnap allows me to easily communicate with players, parents and even close fans of each team that I coach. Makes getting urgent and spontaneous news out seamlessly and is user friendly and self explanatory with the functionality of its resources and features. In my opinion TeamSnap is an absolute must have for active coaches and families across the board
