I prefer listening to our announcers but it gets very annoying to close and restart app through the whole game. Please fix the app

I am a die hard spartan I have not missed a game in 15 years. This is a disgrace to spartan nation. You are charging a subscription for what is the radio broadcast. On top of that the app is garbage. It cuts out constantly, no chrome cast integration, no video highlights.what am I paying for?Shame on you!

I am tired of the app stopping and when you try to open it again all I get is: something is wrong About 20 times after closing, restarting, downloading again, and shutting the phone off. Free apps run better.

All the sudden this app now just says ‘something went wrong’ when launched. Since it’s now an app I pay for I’m probably going to stop renewing.

Too many times I try to open this app and get the “Something went wrong” message. It’s more aggravating when you have to pay for the service.

This app used to be fairly reliable for its radio. Unfortunately, it typically works for a short period time, it shuts down, and often doesn’t recognize that the phone is connected to the Internet. Extraordinarily frustrating, for rare app that I pay for annually. A subscription app should work better. Most likely will not renew, After having been subscribed since it’s inception. Has not improved

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t and it doesn’t seem to matter a whole lot if you have full or only partial signal strength. Disappointing especially since it’s a “pay for” app... Come on State you can do way better than this!

Used to listen for free on my iPod before upgrading to iPhone. Now I have to pay to listen to my favorite team!? No way! Stuck with an actual radio now since we have no TV provider for the BTN.GO!

Hardly works anymore. Use to be able to listen to the game, but now all it does is cut out. Better off downloading a radio app an getting 760 am for football games.

Have used for years works great even roaming off wifi

This app was great when I couldn't get a signal, was walking from my tailgate to somewhere to catch the game, but now can't use it unless I pay? $3.99 is a waste of money to use an app that was free for years with the radio calls. Nice try.

I don't mind paying $4 annually to subscribe, but I also expect the app to not have many issues. Every few minutes the stream jumps back about 30 seconds to 1 minute. It's extremely annoying and I end up missing what I tuned in for. Please fix this issue, it appears from the reviews I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.

Constant error messages about internet connectivity. App needs work. Not worth $4.

We live on the other side of the country and this app allows us to not miss a single game! We love it!

Living outside Michigan, I loved having this handy on my phone and iPod. Not worth paying annually, though. Bummer.

Love this app. I'm currently in Thailand and couldn't watch the bowl game. With the app I was able to listen to the play by play. Money well spent. Go green

No listed In App Purchase that I can see on the App Store but in order to do anything you must have a subscription.

Ok, first off, I bleed green so it pains me to say this, but I want my money back. The app itself seems solid. There's lots of information on the about Spartan Sports. But to listen to the football game I had to pay an extra $4 and all I heard, literally, no exaggeration here, was the kickoff, seven plays and the commercials. So, if you want the latest on MSU volleyball, download the app. But don't waste your cash to try to listen to a game, you can't. Ps, I want my money back.

They want me to pay again

We were so excited to listen to a recent football game as we were on a long road trip and going to miss the game. The app constantly crashed and I would have to close it down and restart and sometimes it would reload and sometimes not. Missed most of the action and probably only heard a total of one third of the game. VERY frustrating especially for a paid app. I agree... want my money back.

I bought this app because SSN streams available for free using a PC or MAC browser are not available on a mobile device. My mobile device is an iPad Air 2 running iOS 11.2.1. When verifiably connected to the internet via WiFi and/or LTE, this app displays a notice saying in effect that the iPad needs to be connected to the internet in order to receive a stream. Since this flaw in the app has been around for quite a while, the developer should refund the price of the app to all who believe they have been robbed of $3.99, including me.

There is nothing you can do in this app without the in app purchase. It won't even let you know how much you have to pay and what you get for it. I used to use the app and it was way to buggy to pay for. Audio would not download, if you got a call while you were listening you couldn't go back to hear what you missed. I might consider purchasing if there was a trial to see if the bugs were gone.

It drops connection every 5 min. Then won't play unless it's closed and opened again....the. Every couple min it stops again

Had this app for years, now I have to pay for this. Never even got a notice that this is happening. Love my Spartans, but that is a low blow to the fans that want to listen to the game. Update: just broke down to pay for app. Tells me to connect to internet. I am. Want my $4 back.

I got this app for the 2016 football season and it was terrible. Hard to connect, would rewind, would only run for a few minutes and the stop. I decided to give it one more season. So far for 2017 it has been great. Crystal clear, doesn’t rewind nor does it randomly stop. Plus George Blaha is calling the games. Gotta love George!

I'm a die-hard Sparty fan and was thrilled at the chance to listen to games no matter where I am. This app is a rip--first, it says you need a network to listen live. Then, even though I WAS CONNECTED to WiFi the app didn't recognize my iPhone 7 was indeed connected. So what happens when you can't be in WiFi? What happens when you are WiFi connected? You get squat. What a waste.

This was such a great app. Could easily listen to radio broadcasts of sporting events. Now you have to pay and you still can't find the broadcasts of the games. They really mucked this up. Very disappointed!

App won't work on iPad since update to paid app. I subscribed in 2015 via iPhone, and was assured iPad version would be forthcoming. Still can't use on iPad. (Before subscription; worked well)

Since I've s***** it up and paid the fee, it doesn't open past the logo page! This has happened on several game days. I've deleted and reinstalled, and it still doesn't work!

I don't understand the poor reviews. I get that some streams take a few seconds to buffer, but I love the coverage. $4/yr for direct coverage of everything Sparty? Take my money.

I bleed Green and White but I can't stand it when someone greedily takes my money when I can get it free elsewhere. I'm OUTTA HERE!

Maybe someone in the Broad School of Business should explain to the university why it's bad business to not give consumers all of the information they need. In this case it's, "you have to pay now!"

On iPhone 8 with iOS 11.2.2, this app does not stream when connected to WiFi. Other issues as others have mentioned are present as well. This app is great when it works. It absolutely needs an update! Would be 5 stars if it worked.

I can confirm with other reviews that the service randomly jumps back 30 seconds from time to time. I also have trouble connecting to the feed. I'm currently trying to listen to the Big Ten Tournament but keep getting the message "please connect to the internet to play stream" when connected both to wifi and LTE. It's frustrating to pay money for a service that does not seem too concerned about making their product better, when other programs have a better product for free.

I live in Arizona - thought this would be perfect to listen to Spartan games - but it won't work. It tells me to check nectar to the network - so it won't play. Why would I pay for something that won't work - I want my money back.

A more stable app experience is needed.

Big time buffering issues !!! Makes for a poor experience while listening to the games

Wanted to listen to some Spartan football. Navigated the clunky UI. Started my subscription. The only streams that had audio were the ones saying nothing was being broadcast.

App is OK, but for football is 90sec delayed, or at least a play behind. Should be free.

I paid the $3.99 subscription but the stream is silent. Says its playing but there's no sound. Tried for over an hour.

This would easily be a 5 star if they could fix the streaming issues. During games it will often cut out or have difficulty loading. Go state!

Great app! I have used the previous free app for many years and have to say the $3.99 for the new version is money well spent. Great new enhancements, live stats and of course live broadcasts. As a frequent traveller this comes in handy when I'm not able to attend the game or coaches shows.

What a lousy app. When you open the app, it requires you to subscribe. But when you click on subscribe, the app just closes. You can listen to the games free on the Spartan Sports Network site on your PC but have to pay to listen on your ipad or iphone? I think not. Don't even bother downloading this crap.

Paid to renew the app and it stopped working and froze up

Everything this guy does is a complete clown show. This app is a joke. And you're paying 3.99 for free content at every other school. If Tieman was any good at his job, id be ok with 3.99. I'd give the school 399 to get rid of him. JOKE.

TuneIn Radio provides free streaming for every team in the B1G except MSU. We get stuck paying for what everyone else gets free? No thank you.

Probably one of the worst apps I've ever downloaded. I try to listen on this (PAID) subscription app and it goes about 5 minutes, glitches and starts over several minutes before so there is no live stream. We're paying for this, please do better and fix the issue. Plus get rid of the ads.

App works intermittently. Sometimes it will not load, sometimes games will not play. Sometimes when games are playing, it will jump back 30 seconds to 5 minutes and keep repeating.

But, it just doesn't work on an iPhone 6 with iOS 10, it fails to work. Try to register and it crashes. I would give it no stars if able to do so.

What's with the fee? Lots of commercials.
