Addicted#14million's Review of Rockhound
Reviewed on 4/21/20 2:05 PMAbsolutely useless. No info other than directions. No space for others input, and the info available is decades old. There haven't been agates at Agate beach for 20 years. Save your time and money, I wish I had.

Reviewed on 12/14/18 12:35 PM1. Would be nice to see the locations linked to mapping app 2. Rock hound sites in the current library very focused on the Western and Eastern US....limited info for rest of country

Reviewed on 12/14/18 12:35 PMThis is a great app that allows me to keep all my secret spots on a database. You can always add new stones and sites to the ones that are already included. All in all, this app is wonderful!!!!!
jestheterp's Review of Rockhound
Reviewed on 12/14/18 12:35 PMSince this app is been around for so long, I thought there would be a lot more sites. It also does not take advantage of GPS to be able to add in your current location as a potential site. Could be a fantastic app, if they took the time to actually add in an offsite to make the purchase worth it. You can't search by what you want to find, so there is no way to really make use of the sites that are there.
ebola1's Review of Rockhound
Reviewed on 12/14/18 12:35 PMThis app lacks all the things others have said about it but I want to add different problems. When looking at individual minerals, the list of minerals blocks the description, at least 4 lines of info. They want others to add to their meager work and they want to release updates, profiting from our efforts. I guess they had better have people cite their sources as there is such a thing called plagiarism....I think I will learn how to make apps to get something of value.
Justinzzyzx's Review of Rockhound
Reviewed on 12/14/18 12:35 PMThe mechanics of the app are well done, but the information is poorly filled out, the sites are pathetic and more information could be had online for free from other websites. Not really useful with the information inside.

Reviewed on 12/14/18 12:35 PMI wish more people would add sites. I think we are all have "our" spot we don't want anyone else to know about, just post it!

Reviewed on 12/14/18 12:35 PMThis is a great app for all us rock hound and adventurous spirits. Easy to use and you can add your own locations and submit them for sharing with everyone. Rock, Gem, Mineral, Fossil collectors should all have this one.
vita2us's Review of Rockhound
Reviewed on 12/14/18 12:35 PMI initially purchased Rocks & Gems for for my son's iPod Touch, and he liked it so much that I also got RockHound. I - naturally - failed to read the requirements section, which of course notes that it is only for iPone. No worries though, I will just keep this one for me on my iPone. Overall, this is a very good app for anyone interested in rock, gem or mineral collection - so please ignore my earlier review.
