You cant access the comments from an Iphone anymore....worthless to be still on line.

This used to be my favorite way of getting sports news. The writers and content is great and the fan’s comments are great to read even if you do not agree. However, there is now a blank white window that pops up when you open an article. Sometimes you can X it out and read which is annoying enough. Other times, it freezes the app and you have to close the app completely and then come back in and it still pops up. Please fix this!

Same as everyone else reporting. Big blank white screen covers everything often times I am forced to close the app altogether. Terrible experience that’s been lingering for far too long.

Same ongoing issue as everyone else. Big blank pop up that makes you close out the app repeatedly. Not worth the time or effort. This issue has been going on for well over a year. You would think someone at NBC would care to fix. They don’t. I’m deleting this app and going to stick to ESPN and Bleacher Report.

Is NBC just ignoring this app on purpose and letting it go obsolete? At least let us know whether or not you ever intend to fix the blank white box and commenting issues, or just remove it from the App Store altogether. It hasn’t been updated for over a year, and even before that it was only updated once in a blue moon. It would be a great app if they just addressed the white boxes and commenting, but it appears that is never going to happen. Adding to the frustration is that the regular/mobile site is also super clunky, but at least a giant white square that can’t be removed doesn’t pop up every time you try to read an article, so there’s that I guess. How does a major media company like NBC continue to put out this mediocrity?

This has been going on for a year or more. Surely someone can fix it. Blank white page pops up for an ad and you have to close app to get out. Very annoying.

As with most of the recent reviews, this app has gone down the tubes. Automatic pop-ups that won’t close block everything. Such a disappointment.

Deleted. Can’t stand the white screens that can’t be exited without restarting the app.

Sometime you can read an article, but more often than not you get a blank white pop up that you can't get rid of without killing the app and restarting. What's the point of releasing this garbage?

This used to be great. The articles are still great. However, when I scroll from one to another a blank white screen appears with an “x” in the upper right corner. It happens about every 3rd article. Some times it locks up the app. The only option is to close it and swipe it and re-load it. Nuts. It never used to do that.

Good online site. Mobile app is useless. Can’t read it for the pop-ups that freeze the screen. I’m done with it.

The pop ups on this app are making it almost unusable. A pop up box will block the whole page so you can’t even read it. Box won’t close, so the app needs to be closed and reopened to read anything.

Annoying!! Can’t NBCs app developers fix this problem? This was my go to app for sports...I’ve had to go back to ESPN. It’s not only the white screen pop up/lock up, but the embedded video that opens with an ad...and that’s it!! The actual video doesn’t play. If you try again another ad plays then nothing?! When it works, the app is great. PS Most of the problems occur when opening hockey related items, but sometimes other sports too.

Pop up screen kills the program. Got tired of rebooting the IPad to make the program work again. Just uninstalled it from my IPad.

Too bad I can’t read any of the articles because of the BIG WHITE SQUARE that covers all the articles.. won’t "x" out, won’t disappear with a hard shut down. Used to go to this app every day. Not anymore!

Only the iPhone version of the app can match how awful this is with freezes, crashes, broken links, etc. Too bad, I enjoy the writing.

LOve this app to be able to see what is current and up to date for all sports. HOWEVER....per APPLE, " Sports Talk needs to be updated. This app will not work with future versions of IOS..The developer of this app needs to update it to improve its compatibility" Please fix before we are unable to use your app!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with previous review that the pop-ups make this app unusable. Was only an average app prior to the pop-up issue with duplicate posts or posts which would only half load. Find a better app for your sports.

Yes, agree with all others! The pop ups almost make the app unusable. When you click on an article, you just hope not to see the white screen of death. Then the only fix is to delete and reinstall! Please Fix!

NBC Pro Hockey Talk is where I get all of my news from but this app looks like its 10 years old. Please, for the love of god, modernize the app and make a separate app for the different sports.

Was an excellent app. Not any more. White box emerging over articles, forcing you to manually shutdown has ruined the app.

Every time I select a golf story - it crashes. Not much use. PLUS - let us delete the 'Irish' feed. It's extremely annoying. Update: the pop up screens make now this app unusable. Since I can’t read anything, I’ve deleted the app. No point in having it clutter up the screen

They are terrible. They make the app unbearable.

I frequently receive the warning (paraphrasing) "that the NBC Sports Talk app needs to be updated (on the developer 's end). Using this app will cause your iPad to run slowly." In addition this app is known to freeze and does not always open the correct articles when selected.

This sports app used to be great but now every other article I click to read has a blank (of all things) pop-up ad that locks up the app forcing a double click swipe to close. The most ridiculous part is that I don’t even see what the ad is for, it’s just a blank pop up that you cannot close within the app. I’ve complained through the app’s email/contact us feedback link and they haven’t even responded once. An absolutely ridiculous fall from grace Mike Florio.

I am sick and tired of blank white rectangles popping up. It’s bad enough when I can close the blank, but when it freezes the app I have to wait several hours for it to clear or else delete and reload. What’s the point of either?

How do you expect people to read articles when a blank pop-up window blocks it? Furthermore, you can’t close it by hitting the “X” and then you have shut the app down. Judging by how awful this is, I’m guessing you think these iPad’s/tablets are a just a fad and will go away. Now please email your bosses through your state of the art email system Lotus Notes and fix!!!!

I too used to love this app but now agree with everything thats being said about the poor performance due to whatever changes that have recently been made. The proverbial white box that covers the article which can’t be closed until you force a shutdown isn’t exactly a positive experience. It’s really simple, others along with myself will go to Bleacher Report and a couple of others that simply perform better. Tell that to the advertisers........

As with most others reviewing here, the constant pop-ups that you cannot get rid of, make this app useless. When you cannot read the story you clicked on, not sure what the purpose of the app is.....

I had this app for years and loved it. Recently deleted because of the unusable pop up screen that won't close. It's sad. I even tried reinstalling it and no luck. I give up entirely. CBS Sports is looking good though!

Believe all the negative reviews. This app is trash. Can’t read sports through blank white popups. Comments never appear. Doesn’t deserve the one star that I gave it. Deleted.

With all the sports apps and sites available, you don't need to play with an app that hasn't been updated in over a year. This app looks like they just expanded the iPhone app. Doesn't even use all the iPad real estate. It's such a poorly designed app, I can't use it anymore. You will also not be able to comment if Florio doesn't agree with you. Many comments have been deleted by them. Just like like today, if you don't agree with them, they throw it away. Isn't FASCISM great!

I agree with all the comments about the pop up window blocking the page you are viewing. Only fix is to delete App and then reload.

Hey developer, read these reviews and fix this app.

The blank white pop ups that freeze the app are still happening, making the app really hard to use. I still like much of the content when I have the patience to close and reopen it enough times to read it, which is less and less often. Too bad it’s been ruined.

Like many before said, used to be a great app. Content not the issue, but crashing and freezing are. Could be great again if developers (or funders) would fix it.

How can you allow a clear issue like this linger for so long? It's kind of insulting really, that a blank white pop-up window continues to appear with no way to close it (the non-functional x doesn't count). You are literally ruining all the great content that your talented writers are creating! Just fix it!

Update 5/18/18 Still no update on this app. Why? Delete it if you’re not going to take care of it. Updated review 9/30/17....Why hasn't anyone updated this app?its going to be obsolete soon for lack of compatibility. I love this app. I use it almost everyday to check scores and schedule. But why no college football score avail across the top this year?
