No one wants to watch MLS, this app plays the most unimportant matches. Play EPL, La LIGA, Champions league and Europa league. Those are real matches that paying customers want to see. This app is a joke and absolutely terrible.

I paid for my stupid monthly subscription to watch Bundesliga football and they won’t recognize my purchase, meaning that I’ve been conned out of 20 dollars. Don’t get this app or pay for their service, it’s not worth it.

The people who are in charge for this products don’t understand old world soccer and it’s audience! They cut away more and more services and games, this is becoming “FRAUDE”!!!! No more Champions League, no more UEFA Europe League, no more international games except US, didn’t show World Cup18 as advertised before. The Bundesliga highlight bar is empty now. If you want to watch Australian football and rugby this is it! Subscription cost stays the same lol.

i was really happy with this product until, literally, a couple of days after my autorenew went through and I discovered they no longer carried UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League. I contacted them asking for a full refund because I felt they have should told subscribers that such key products weren’t going to be available. I was told they couldn’t give me a refund. Period. So they get a 1 star.

Well, they dropped the UEFA Champions League, so there is little else they have worth paying for in my eyes. In 8 years I literally only used MatchPass for CL games. You can get the games elsewhere for less than 1/2 of what Fox was charging though...so this is a good thing.

Horrible app. I signed on to watch Champions League. Poor video feed. Nonexistent customer support. And when I canceled my subscription days after it auto renewed, they refused to cancel service or refund. Run away from this app. It’s not worth it.

Soccer is amazing but this app is quite the opposite. I’ve been trying to work out issues with my account for months and I’m being sent in circles. I was wrongfully charged for services I didn’t use and the app isn’t the easiest to navigate. Save your money. Don’t get this app.

When i signed up for a 7-day free trial a couple months ago, I could access all of last season’s Champions League and Europa League games and was excited for this year and without any notice i saw the Champions League and Europa League tabs were removed. I had to find out through my own research that they lost the rights to broadcast those games leaving me with a $139.99 subscription that offers a ton of rugby and MLS. In addition, the picture quality is horrible.

Come on Fox! How can you not set preferred teams or notifications?!? Seems like a lazy money grab because they can’t even get the calendar filter to work.

Title says it all, don’t renew your subscription, CL + EL does not exist anymore for the season 2018/19. European Soccer is only Bundesliga 1 + 2, where Bundesliga 2 comes without moderators, without displaying the current result, and without timeline icons for important activities (goals, cards etc). The price tag stayed the same, sure....

Save yourselves, if you want to see the Bundesliga and Australian soccer this is the app for you. If you like being left alone, without no customer support, some people like their privacy, so this is the app for you. Maybe you are tired of throwing hundreds of dollars to the trash and are on a mission to save fox from bankruptcy, then this is the charity for you. There is more free futbol on YouTube but if you still prefer to donate to the fox scholarship, this is the app for you. Terrible, terrible, I can’t even get my money back no phone, no email answer, appalling.

Unless you’re a fan of Bundesliga and Rugby this app is not worth the price. They falsely advertised access to USMNT matches (some but not all were available) and World Cup access (none whatsoever)- completely ridiculous given that FOX carried all matches on their other channels and platforms. FOX (tiny bit of soccer) Match Pass would be a more appropriate name.

I hope that the folks that manage this App read these reviews and look at our critique as a opportunity to improve. Having said that, I think this App has lots of room for improvement especially given that we are paying a membership fee and it’s not simply a free to use service. Areas of improvement; 1. Create a watch history and create the ability to resume a match where you left off. 2. Create a search function to search find the match you want using keywords such as team name or a player. 3. Lots of video errors occurring with streaming 4.Create an Apple TV native App 5. Allow the video to continue to play when on Airplay and you leave the App or turn your screen off to conserve battery. I have emailed you about these areas of improvement and I hope that someone reads this review and cares to make these changes as I think it will greatly improve your service and make the experience more enjoyable for those who have paid their money for it!

After announcing they were streaming the World Cup, they pulled a massive u-turn and dropped it earlier this year. They left their users in the dust. The app and the service is not worth it!!!

The app works fine. The design and usability is also good. No complains about that. My biggest wish however is that they change the sequences between the games when you watch a match day stream. They tell you either if their was a chance or a goal (even with the new result). A quick sequence that tells to which game will be changed, without any other game relevant information, might be much better. It would keeps the excitement ...

Tried this on my phone a couple of years ago and was pretty buggy. Now trying it on AppleTV 4K and it is working fine but there is no clock and score displayed on screen. That is such a basic standard thing with televised soccer. Also as a bonus sub-titles would be super-awesome for my soccer fan hearing impaired wife.

Shortly before the event they announced not to cover "FIFA World Cup 2018" at all on Fox Match Pass. People have yearly subscriptions because coverage was heavily advertised. I will get my money back. Also they don't understand the soul of soccer, i.E. some games have no score/time board displayed during the game. The app on apple tv does not even offer a highlight bar so you are totally lost if you watch on replay. Or they don't display all weekends (Monday or Sunday games usually) upcoming Bundesliga games so you have to use other resources.

Canceled subscription immediately after trying to use this app to watch Champions League. It appears not to recognize my account as every time I attempt to watch the game (any game), it sends me in an endless loop requiring me to sign up, then telling me I’m already signed up and canceling out. Why is this total junk app even allowed on the App Store?! Can’t expect much better from Fox though.

Let’s cut to the heart of the matter: the most meaningful things for the majority of the paying audience who pay for access to this app are the Champions League and Europa League matches that Fox Sports largely have a monopoly on in the United States. It’s bad enough for one company to monopolize something and then put it behind a paywall. If you’re going to do so, however, at least provide a product that is reliable, consistent, and of decent quality. By now, Fox Sports have a very good idea of the size of audience they can expect to tune in for, e.g., a Champions League semifinal match. There is ZERO excuse for a stream that is never in HD, routinely choppy, and prone to the video freezing — only for the audio to continue. If the revenues broadcast rights to Champions League football do not suffice to invest enough funds to make broadcasting it online viable, then perhaps Fox should cut losses and let someone else have a go. The current state of affairs is, at best, an unscrupulous grab for money.

Why for God's sake is the image quality that much lower compared with a PC and a web browser? I would prefer the comfort of my Apple TV but I always use a computer connected to my TV… for reasons unknown you simply don't get the same quality. PC steam is HD and from the app it's more or less SD. As long as that's the case… the app is more or less useless. Why should I use it?

Terrible customer service. Contact made to link up account through iTunes and Fox says I do not have an account. They say that even though when I am in the app it says my account is active, just without a subscription. Everything was great for the first month, now no one wants to help. Getting refund from iTunes. Fox Soccer is a worthless system.

If you try to stream it from your phone on Apple TV it stops working constantly (if you can get it to work at all). Works fine on my phone, but who wants to watch soccer on a tiny screen.

I RARELY ever write reviews because I think they’re quite impulsive for the most part, biased and I am typically uncertain as to whether dissatisfaction is truly merited. But this is the WORST Football/Soccer watching experience I have EVER had. You will be lucky to have more than 5 minutes straight without the streaming becoming either extremely pixelated, or just stop entirely. Then you will have no way to refresh the streaming without exiting the app and restarting l, while missing a goal, big play or anything else you cherish in the game. If you already have MatchPass, then might as well get the app, BUT, if you are hoping to use MatchPass mainly through your phone, SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND ANGUISH from having a screen in front of your face doing absolutely nothing.

I get to watch my favorite team live and on demand so I don’t ask for much more! Besides maybe 4k one day and goal notifications at bottom of bar like 1st Bundesliga

Why no MLS games? This is FOX, right!? The games are on FS1, so I thought I could get here. I might have to cancel.

App not working on my iPhone won’t let me watch games It won’t show my subscription and it keeps asking me to subscribe to for 1 month trial

Come on guys we pay $150 to watch games on our app or stream to appletV and we can’t! Unbelievable! Knowadays so many streaming services out there and fox can’t get it together. Unless fixed I am not renewing my yearly subscription.

So I pay to watch a match live yet the app constantly asks me to subscribe?! Advise, stay as far away from this service as possible. Yet again Fox Sports butchers a service

I keep trying to cancel my subscription but it keeps sayin my email isn’t correct yet it keeps charging my card every single month and I don’t even use it.

Typically I don’t have any issues with this app (overall service is great, when streaming from computer or other device); however one of the issues I have every now and then is the app doesn’t recognize that I already paid for the service. It won’t let me watch any of the games, but instead tells me I need to sign up for the service. You would think simply logging off then logging back in would fix the issue. Nope!!! App won’t let you sign out, just tells you to try again later. Then naturally I uninstall the app then re-download it. The App doesn’t give me the opportunity to sign in, instead it again tries to get me to sign up for the service, just like it did before I uninstalled it. Very frustrating considering I paid 139.99 for this service.

Annoying. I’m not changing my phone folks - why do I need to continually log in? Then there are times when my Profile won’t load so I can’t log back in.

Waste of money. Can’t believe how much you charge for this unusable service. Can’t fast forward prerecorded matches on AppleTV, no score or game clock on half the matches, audio vanishes mismatch. Every single customer should get their money back until you pull your act together.

Airplay does not work well since new version!

I loved this app last year because I would las able to watch all of the matches.... something definitely happened this year. I am only getting half of the games because this app won’t load !!! I only subscribed to watch Borussia Dortmund play and I can’t even get that.

Fox wants one thing and that’s money. They know people want to see certain teams play so they hide those teams behind a paywall. Craziest thing is, those games people want to see tend to fail and seem to not have the proper allotted bandwidth from fox for people to watch. Canceled subscription.

Do not subscribe! The app does not work so many times and the customer support is basically not existing. They don’t show champions league anymore. Use one of the other providers! Fox soccer match pass is the worst!!

When I resuscribed after an absence of a few month, the subscrition wasn’t working but the money was gone. Their support didn’t help. They first tried to blame apple, then they said I should re-install. When that didn’t work, they stopped answering me.

Works fine on my Apple TV 4th 4K Not an issue, but the only thing that annoys me is that they don’t start broadcasting until the game starts, also very pricey. Other than that good APP. To view watch some games otherwise not possible.

Tried everything, restart restart restart, but it will NOT stay on apple airplay. SUPER frustrating at the verge of useless when trying to watch ur favorite team, especially live.. I suppose it’s my own fault for owning technology that’s 3 years old (gasp). ONE STAR.

The iPad and iPhone versions of this app work reasonably well, including when streaming to Chromecast. The Apple TV app is another story. It drops so many frames that it is nauseating to watch a game. To be fair, it is new, so perhaps they will fix it with future updates. But I wouldn’t bother for now.

I used to watch it with my dad on Fox Deportes. The Spanish commentating and level of audience noise was so good that we used to get goosebumps. I tried watching it but realized they don’t broadcast it on Fox Deportes anymore. Turns out they’re hungry for money and make people pay now. Okay, worth the money, or so I thought. Tried to watch Lanus vs. River. Worst futbol experience. Commentator sounds like he is yawning. Spectator volume is horribly low. Sounds like you’re watching a replay of second division replay matches even though these games can be better than UEFA champions.

App won’t recognize my purchase so I’m out of $20 now

This app has terrible navigation that makes everything challenging. Plus midpoint thru my contract they canceled Champions League without a warning and left the choice to things I couldn’t care less. Rugby! Who needs it!? Who cares about rugby? Or some random South America championships that interest no one.

stream is interrupted all the time. airplay almost never works.

Been trying to watch games and stream to Apple TV has been a failure. I really wanted this to work but the app dies out mid game. As you can imagine, this has been frustrating. Originally got it for UEFA Champions League but now have to resort to other measures. Only good thing is that I was on a free trial so it didn’t cost me anything.

$140 gets you squat. Every time I try to log on and watch a match, the app screen comes up and that’s all I get. One time I actually watched a preview show of the Champions League games, but that was all I could get. It’s a big expensive tease.

Registration fails so I have to reset my password. Now at least I can login but every live stream I try to watch just goes back to; please start your trial! Worst app I have ever seen

When I try to watch it says I need to subscribe. But I am already subscribed and get a bill from Apple every month. There is no number to call, just a form, but I haven't received a response. Also set a new record for the I am not a robot captchas. Had to click on about thrity different pictures on over ten different screens.

After finally having enough of this service failing to provide any US matches, I informed them that I was done, but THEY REFUSE TO STOP CHARGING ME!!! Some @$%#! in tech support thinks it's funny, and refuses to pass my request on to accounting. I have written several requests, and every response is more belligerent than the first. My only recourse is to contact the credit card company to let them know that I have explicitly told them to stop charging. It was never worth more than maybe $2 per month, but even at that I would (attempt to) STOP using this service. There is a word for refusing to stop charging a customer: "theft."

I can rarely get this stream on my Apple TV like it’s supposed. It’s extremely frustrating. This app is only good for watching it on your phone. Wish they would come out with an app for more platforms like PS4 or Apple TV

The app won't sign me in and I can't use it. Reached out to support three times and they are totally unresponsive. Ridiculous.

Fox proudly announced their upgraded app this summer, that would have a better user interface and more features, and would play on all mobile iOS devices. But it doesn't. The most current iOS for an iPad mini is 9. And their app only works with iOS 10. So for $20/month, if you need to watch your soccer on a device that isn't running or can't ru. iOS 10, save your money. I've contacted their support several times and they're pretty clueless.

Apple TV keeps playing games from the beginning instead of live.

Even though I have a subscription online and can watch on my computer the app will not recognize this subscription using the app. It’s useless on my iPhone since you can’t login in the app. It asks you to subscribe again. I have selected the app from the phone and reinstalled it but still doesn’t work. Useless!!!

Downloaded the trial and while the quality of the image on my Apple TV 4K is fantastic, frames keep dropping out making for a glitchy and jerky viewing. Shame really because it makes it unwatchable.
