For weeks now I get alerts about deals and coupons, but when I go to the app is always says “ We apologize our system is not available at this time. We hope to be back online soon”

Great shopping prices

I am very impressed with the Safeway app. It saves lots of money. You just have to put in the time. I do most of my shopping while commuting on mass transit so it is not a chore. Once you have built up a history of the items you shop for, it is really quick. I also like the relatively new rewards program. You get free items or money off your total purchase based on your shopping history dollar amount. Monthly, I think. Sometimes I use the online app and have my groceries delivered because I don’t have a car. Although it is separate app, your Just for You prices migrate to your online purchases. Pretty cool. The savings shows in your final receipt from your online purchases. St Johns Sue

This app not only has the in-store coupons but also the Manufacturers coupons which is super handy! I haven’t had one issue with this app!

I love safeway,I’d like to see the WiFi better. If you are going to have us scan bar codes, the wireless should be fast. Augustine is the best !

I love that I can spend my rewards points in the store on food and products. I don’t ever use much gasoline so this is great for me… Thank you Safeway

I'm grateful to be able to use this app to apply deals and coupons to my Safeway card instead of having to manually clipping coupons. However, I wish items were organized into categories the way they used to be. It saved time because I was able to skip categories of items I don't use. Also, I could easily find items instead of having to search through hundreds of items (sometimes the search bar doesn't yield what I'm looking for). To me the new style of the app is chaotic to a fault.

I love the app and how easy it is to add my Just For U and weekly coupons. The only thing I keep having an issue with is receiving an error code when trying to add some coupons. I’ve tried closing out of the app completely and starting it again, but it doesn’t help. The only thing I haven’t tried is deleting the app and re-installing. Hope there is an easy fix for this or maybe a bug fix update coming soon.

I didn’t get past the part where it asks you to add a telephone number to your account. I tried mine and it said it was already in the system so I tried to login with my email and it said I don’t have an account. Maybe someone with the number before me registered it I thought. So I called the customer support number they list on the screen to try and get it straightened out and they just try and sell you on offers for ATT and another vague option to click 1 for the chance to earn hundreds of dollars at Safeway. After patiently waiting through both long prompts the recording says, “hang up now.” And the line went to static. So annoying.

Absolutely love this app !💕💕💕 Especially the “ just for you “ category. 👍👌🏼👍 I just wish that the savings always came off my bill @ checkout !!!!

I use the app to add coupons to my card and it mostly works fine. The issue I have is with the very slow store internet speed. If I want to use the app in the store I have to turn off my internet and use cellular data. Don’t say you have internet if it is too slow to work with your own app in the store!

Even when I try to enter the zip code I still don’t get anything other than a store that’s much further away from me. Bay Area California.

The app’s great, but pretty useless when there’s no WiFi in my store. It’s only good for making a list, saving it as PDF and importing into iBooks. And can’t do the scan thing in the store.

Constantly having to go to customer service desk to get the “just for you” discounts credited back to my credit card. Sometimes not a lot of money. Other times close to 100$. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!!!! Also, exchanging “rewards” looks great on the receipt, but never shows up in the app that I have any, despite the same phone number, etc. 🧐. Easy to use app. Tracks what you buy and offers savings, just have to keep an eye open.

I’m not seeing my rewards or points recorded and not all of the discounts are applied when I go through check out, really disappointed.

Accurate delivery time and date, but always forgetting items that i ordered 😤. They should offer more than a redelivery for inconveniencing myself and my family’s meals!!!

It’s difficult to shop at our local Grand Coulee store because the electric handicap cart had been broke An they say corporate won’t get it fixed. There’s numerous handicapped people who depend on it.

I love that rewards can be used in store now. I don’t love that a few times my rewards disappeared before the end of the month and before I could designate them. Overall, I really appreciate the app and how easy it makes it to save more money.

Both me and my mother cannot login. She has tried over a month and I tried several times. Totally defeats the purpose of an app if it cannot be used. Hope it gets fixed soon.

This is a great app that helps me to save time and money and make my shopping trip enjoyable and short

Love the app, but please add the loyalty card & barcode, so when checking out the clerk can scan the app, instead of waiting while I fumble in my wallet for the card.

I love it when they charge the right price but when there are about ten items on your receipt that are wrong it is upsetting. You don’t save anything when you have to drive back to the store to show them how the computer doesn’t have a mark down price correct. With so many prices wrong on one receipt I don’t have a choice but to go back. A good example is cheese was priced at 2.99 each times four and they should have been 1.67 each. That starts to add up. Creamers were clearance priced that rang up at 2.99 each. I guess I will go back to Smith’s

I like the app. But, invariably, items that catch my interest are not available in my Safeway. When I ask for product location help, I’m told this store has never carried it.

Safeway has a very large selection of foods and fruits. Large, clean Store & friendly, helpful personnel. I take it vantage of all discount prices and your GREAT coupons. I do my weekly shopping based on what’s on sale that week. Thank You

With the updates, I can’t do the basics anymore like easily changing my pickup store. This updated version was clearly not tested in the real world

I Love the savings, but not the app the app never works!

I love the rewards system at Safeway! I always use my number when I shop! I’m like a super saver lol

This app is poorly designed. It doesn't work offline very well, even when you preload your own list. There are two many steps involved in some actions; a poor interface. And, it ignores Apple standards; for example it always assumes the screen width is 640 pixels, then forces the view to scale to the screen for any iphone after the iPhone 5. This means for example that a lot of 3rd party keyboards won't work correctly. Some beginners must have built this app!

It takes a little bit of work and you should definitely check before each shopping trip but you’ll likely save a few bucks for a few minutes of work.

I have been a pretty loyal Safeway shopper for the past 20 years. I always chose Safeway over other stores because of their cleanliness and better shopping experience. However, after requiring this app to get the discounts...I avoid Safeway entirely! The app NEVER works in the store and I am still yet to be able to get it to work on my WiFi without serious delays. When I’ve tried to explain the the cashier that the app will not work, they have to manually calculate the discounts and issue a price override. Horrible experience. Lost my business.

I wish there was a way to add all offers at once. As a busy mom I don’t have time to sit down and add all the offers but it’s the only way I can afford to shop with Safeway. If I don’t have the offers I can’t afford your overinflated prices.

I wish there were a simpler way to make sure I am getting the best discounts when I shop at Safeway. I use my card, but then I must check and see if the sale is “Just for U” then I have to do that on my phone in the store (IF there is coverage) Also I must be sure to check if I have bought enough items to qualify for the discount. Often I am not even sure how the items are “grouped”. MANY times I have returned home and realized I did not get the price I thought I was getting. Also a few times the “50% Off” sticker was not seen by the checker. I try to group those all at the end, but when navigating everything else occasionally I miss one. I sound like an old hag, complaining about saving money-lol ... but it is frustrating. I long for the “old days” of just clipping coupons and knowing what the bottom line is going to be.
