Took forever to get order together. App was always getting stuck. Can’t deliver for 5 days. Forget it, I’ve got the flu now and need the delivery tomorrow.

I like how print they are and I would give a five star but both times I’ve had deliveries, the drivers smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. They left ten minutes ago and I can still smell it in my house. It’s not the worst thing in the world but it’s gross and I’d rather my home and groceries not smell like cigarettes.

App crashes a lot. And it happens on multiple devices running various versions of iOS including the current version. Gets frustrating to have to close and restart the app 4-5 times while making an order. Edit: looks like Ill be using a different service. There have been tons of complaints of crashing and slow app for over two years and they haven’t addressed it. So I shouldn’t hold my breath and wait for them to fix. It’s a shame because I would be using it weekly. You’d think with the amount of money they’re losing due to the crappy app, that they would get another company to develop it. The average family spends probably $8-$10k a year on groceries. Fix the app.

Peapod’s sorting and delivery is the absolute worst. Without fail each delivery leaves me with groceries that I did not order which is quite disheartening as I am a vegan. Imagine receiving meat and dairy when you didn’t order it! Reaching out to customer service is another fail. If you ordered a sale item and never receive it you reach out to customer service who responds days after. They will refund you for your missing item but you lose out on the special/sale item you initially ordered. Seriously more improvements needs to be made with sorting and delivery. I am discouraged from using your service because if this. Do better!

This service requires frequent policing for accuracy of product, pricing, out of stock items (especially special sales), poorly chosen substitutes and poor quality of perishable items (produce, dairy, bake shop, etc.). Price discrepancies are frequent, Peapod prices can average as much as 25% above the Stop & Shop price (underneath the Peapod price label is hidden the cheaper Stop & Shop price). Sale items are often out of stock and rain checks are not offered. Errors in selection and damaged product are frequent as well. Perishable items are very short coded with some items received either out of code or use by date on the day of delivery. Previously frozen fish is unacceptable. Bake shop frozen “brown & serve” breads and rolls taste nothing like fresh and more like stale bread that was frozen. The average item price per order has risen from $3.30 to $3.80 (+/-) over the past year while selection has been cut in all departments. High quality local goods have been replaced by store brand.

What the hell happened to your app? Impossible to use. Nice knowing you.

I use this app possible too often, but it is the convenience that brings me back. I do wish it had a better UI. Like if the specials were given in-app with the option of list view (like it is currently) or as a circular-view, similar to what we see when we open the Best Buy app. I would probably end up spending more having a visual of what is on sale. Even better if the entire app was designed to have the “circular-style” viewing as an option. Then I can click items right from the image to send them to my cart. Until then, I’ll just have to keep searching in lists. Which helps me spend less since I can’t find things easily outside of the search bar.

Why can’t I order sliced scali or Italian bread? Or when the roast beef I ordered is all out , why doesn’t it get replaced with stop and shops or something else instead of nothing? Why can’t I order rotisserie chicken salad or deli potatoes salad or other deli choices. Only a few that I don’t want get offered and only in a full pound size. To get these things I have to get a ride to the store. I’m handicapped and don’t drive but I like nice things.

This app works well for ordering items, although the substitution for each item should be displayed more prominently. The real issues are with Peapod itself. Produce is not of good quality. Meat and dairy have a short shelf life because the sell-by date is often the day of delivery or the next day. Bread arrives crushed due to poor packing of the bags. Frozen items are sometimes fully thawed during the summer months. Nine deliveries out of 10 have out-of-stock items. Drivers often miss the delivery window and it’s hit-or-miss whether I’ll get a call or email about the delay. Customer service is also hit-or-miss. Some reps handle complaints well, while others are rude and condescending. Prices are much higher than in Stop & Shop stores, plus you pay a delivery fee and tip the driver. Sure, you’re paying for convenience, but there is little convenience when there are constant problems that require calls to customer service AND a trip to the store to buy the items that weren’t in stock or arrived in poor condition.

App is increasingly slow to load. Or crashes immediately. I’ve installed reinstalled deinstalled reinstalled. I’m tired. iOS 11 has big problems so I’m unsure if this is part of the problem. Nevertheless, there’s a problem and I need the app to work. Thanks.
