Since this app has been very useful on my iPhone, I expected a similar performance on my iPad. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Even though I choose the “Remember me” option, it requires me to log in each time I open the app. (And that’s my smallest complaint.) Much worse is the fact that it logs me out every time I try to select any option from the pharmacy menu. It isn’t simply a bad app; it has no utility whatsoever on the iPad.

I once deleted this iPad app because of horrible, horrible issues with the pharmacy section. That was almost a year ago. I decided to retry it and IT IS EVEN WORSE. Don’t even bother with it. Look at the other iPad reviews for this app. Using it will only make you mad. Whoever is responsible for developing this app should be fired. This is wholly pathetic.

As other users have Pointed out the iPhone app is awesome but the iPad app is absolutely frustrating. Whenever I try to sign in for prescriptions it signs me out every time. After I tried to refill a prescription it will say it’s complete and ready to go but then I find out it never placed the order.

The cvs app continues to be the buggiest app on my iPad and iPhone. Of the 100+ apps I have, this is probably the most aggravating one I have since it does the exact opposite of what it’s intended to do: provide ease and convenience for shopping with CVS and managing prescriptions. This app crashes every time I go to open my prescriptions. My script history is completely inaccurate and has forced me to make calls to the pharmacy to find out if I’m really out of refills or if the app is simply wrong. The pharmacist always ends up confirming that the app is wrong (again). Honestly CVS, why do you even bother to continue developing updates for this glitchy app if your app developers have no intention of fixing the bugs in it? I’ve experienced problems with the app ever since it was first developed, and the bugs have continued to get worse and worse over time. It no longer serves any useful purpose, so I finally gave up, deleted it, and will go back to the old fashion way of calling the cvs pharmacy staff (who adamantly despise customer phone calls due to the high call volume created by a glitchy app and inadequate phone system ) every time I need to verify my prescriptions on file and request refills.

Deleted the CVS app from my iPad to create space for IOS upgrade; reloaded and CVS app for iPad now won’t display in letter mode (only in landscape). Since when is it CVS’s prerogative to tell us that we must use our iPad only in landscape mode? Sent an inquiry to CVS tech support and received a fairly arrogant answer that landscape mode as solo mode was what they intended. Guess I’ll just use my iPhone for CVS refills, and flush CVS app from my iPad since I need the space anyway. Despite an otherwise rich app, landscape-only mode completely undermines viewing experience. Not a very thoughtful design decision by CVS’ development team. Would give zero stars if I could. Notice how many 1-Stars the app is receiving? Looks like a third again as many as 5-stars. Not a good sign — CVS development team, you can do better. In passing, as to CVS app for iPhone, app doesn’t operate fast enough in a CVS store to make it functional. Last week, customers were waiting in line 6-deep, glaring at me while I was waiting for a signature block to appear on my iPhone. Finally decided to use the card terminal to acknowledge the prescription.

The app has nice features, like the store simulation in some versions. But the latest version on my iPhones Plus 6 (which I use as an extra iPad) and 7 running the latest iOS 11.x is torturous. It took 1.5 hours to put an online order together, which was totally unacceptable. The only reason I continued was to gage exactly how long it would take to put 8 items in the cart and check out. Answer: way too long. The software was incredibly unresponsive. Want to go back to the item list? Forget it. Go back to Shop ➡️ Ship to Home ➡️ Category and start over! Nightmare.

If I could give no stars, I would. I’ve had more problems with their app than all my apps put together. Like other reviewers, I’m having the same issue with being logged off automatically and immediately after signing in. I will look for a new pharmacy and it’s app since it’s inconvenient and frustrating dealing with CVS.

I put the app on my iPad since my phone is often in another room to charge. The iPhone app is freaking awesome! But every time I try to log into the pharmacy on this app, it allows me to sign in, but trying to see anything has me being logged out. Any time I tap on something, current prescriptions, past orders or anything, it shows that it is working on my request, starts to bring it up, then bam, I’m logged out. This has been a year and I have been very patient....

Medication availability dates on line don’t match store dates; I get text msgs asking if I want a given medicine. After replying I get the same msg. I’ve had refill counts truncated from what my dr. prescribed. Prescriptions just don’t show up in my history. I go in the store and notify staff of on line issues. They agree on line often does not match what the store has on record. This is the most useless store app. I’ve used.

I was hoping this new release would bring back landscape mode for the iPad. Sadly, it did not. For whatever reason, for some medications, the app says it is time for a refill. Then after a few days, it says to call pharmacy. When I do, they tell me it is too early for a refill. For the most part it is convenient, but it needs to do the fundamentals correctly.

Does the Date filled field draw from the date received data rather than the date it’s filled? Why don’t you have a date picked up field in the app? (This is the date that determines when refills are allowed? Why is the email notification system sporadic ? Why do you need to hit (sign up for email) to get it to log out close and reset after a session has timed out? Why is the timeout so ridiculously short!? Why do you have so many broken processes in how you input handle record fill and dispense meds that haven’t been addressed in years? Why don’t you have a process improvement specialist review your app ? I could fix ~15 things in an hour! Has anyone there actually tried to use this app from the perspective of an actual customer experience?

This horrible app has a lot of screen noise and tiny font. Completely unaware of their user base who have medical limitations. Worst of all it is now locked in portrait mode. What a thoughtless constraint for a retail app. What is the point of doing that? So that the screen noise appears they way you have designed it for phones only? Slow clap.

Dislike portrait orientation, iPad case doesn’t sit that way, the way deals to send to card are, that you can only tap one then wait for it to finish before it will start another & on top of that the app didn’t recognize me as I had to look up & link card again (still same device). There’s a ton of software bugs with this app. There’s problems logging in, once you get in you can look at your prescriptions and so forth, then you get logged out and have to log back in and start all over. You can refill prescriptions on here and they’ll send you a message saying that it’s ready for pick up at the pharmacy and then you go to the pharmacy to pick it up and they say you can’t pick it up until two days later. The prescription filled notification you get does not relate to the actual details of the prescription that you ordered. What a wasted effort.

I could track my prescriptions as long as I was with a particular CVS. Once I moved to another state and set another CVS as my home pharmacy, that was the end of getting my prescription info. It shows none. The history still shows my last refill from my previous CVS. So of course, when CVS robo calls that my refill is ready, I have to call them back and ask ‘which one’? instead of looking at the app. Deleted it since it is now worthless.

No “select all” feature so you have to manually select every single shot in an album. No more chance to adjust crop etc. Says “dimension problem” but doesn’t show why or let you adjust anything. Why can’t the app screen rotate from portrait for iPhone to landscape for iPad? iPad users don’t like the portrait screen view. The keyboard is harder to use. Additionally, the app is now too busy. I don’t use half of the content now shown. I don’t know if I will continue management of my prescriptions on this app. It’s too confusing. I assume some ‘youngster’ did this redesign. Whomever, they didn’t consider the older user.

This update is so much more user friendly, and fast. But...I noted two minor bugs on an Ipad Air Pro (IOS 12.1) 1. The display is in potrait mode only. 2. I did not see a “sign off” button on the home page. There is one in the “account” menu but it did not work. 😊

Basically your new app design is fine the only problem that I have is if I want to sign out I have to go to my account to find the sign out button. I can see you wanted to add new things to the bottom info bar I guess. It seems to me you could have moved it to the header bar (the red one) not in to the account button. Most apps/websites have it on the top of header one tap an I have signed out. Why? I know this is a little thing just don’t understand why change a good thing? Robert Williams

I use the CVS app for several years. This release is not user sensitive working on an iPad...the app opens in landscape and will not allow me to change to portrait. It is very awkward turning the iPad which has an external keyboard case and it is unable to use the keyboard without changing back to landscape. The previous app would change from portrait back to landscape etc. Please fix this

Can only bring up in Partridge shaped cannot go to landscape shape. Navigating is a pain in the butt. Bring back the old app. There’s an old saying if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Found out I can’t even write a review without entering some stupid nickname

Poor app - select number of photos desired and it has u start over - would have ordered multiple copies but finally stuck with one copy - pretty sad app

Every time I try to select photos for printing it freezes and then I can’t “unselect” if I change my mine about a photo. Also finding the “sign out” spot isn’t easy. Plus no notification was given about a change in the app I ready had installed.

I typically use this with my ipad, but this new update is painfully optimized for use on a phone. The previous version for ipad was so good and easy to use. The design was smart and a pleasure to use. This one is basically garbage.

I used this app almost exclusively on my iPad and the latest update is not friendly to that at all. It was obviously updated to cater to phone users only. It's annoying enough to make me strongly consider changing pharmacies after 30+ years.

Really appreciate the convenience of the CVS app for pharmacy. I find the staff at "my" store to be extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help. Thanks, CVS!

The previous app was wonderful. Easy to use but now orientation is terrible. Why would you mess with a good thing???????

Someone who doesn’t own an iPad with the nearly ubiquitous add-on keyboard should not be the person responsible for updates. Really bad marketing. Really bad customer service. You offer this service to stay competitive and to keep people like me off the phone ordering scripts. Until I can use my iPad/keyboard without acrobatics, I’m back on the phone. Really bad design planning. The older rev worked fine so you had to keep improving it until it doesn’t work for a large number of your customers. I’m off to mail order!
