Reviewed on 9/3/19 1:59 PMThis app is just ok, nothing compared to National Geographic world atlas app that’s no longer available it seems. Out of the available options as of today, this seems to be the best one. But, I keep looking for something better.

Reviewed on 8/30/19 1:59 PMIt’s weird, but the places where Israel occupies and murders unarmed civilians are listed under an administratively mysterious provisional status. Now why would that be?

Reviewed on 3/12/18 4:23 AMWith the demise of the National Geographic World Atlas, this seems to be the best available. The world map is actually quite decent. Unfortunately if you want to look at regional maps, you are restricted to looking at one country at a time, without a way to relate it to the detail maps of other countries, and often presented in a way where part of the country of interest is cut off and can’t be seen in any way. The country maps are tolerable but not great, and to make things worth, much of the screen is wasted with generic information from the CIA Fact Book. When I’m looking for a map, every pixel not dedicated to the map is a pixel wasted! :( I have no objection to the CIA info being put in the app, but the app would be VASTLY improved if the public record CIA stuff was removed and the system for viewing the country maps (and the amount of detail in them) is improved.

Reviewed on 2/12/18 11:53 PMI was looking for a replacement for another world atlas app I’ve been using. It had become dumbed down over the past year or so and I found this. It works well. Easy to quickly find countries and to get more detail about them with a tap on the screen. Maps are displayed very clearly when you zoom in. Happy to have found this app. Hope it’s updated often to reflect global changes. The link to Wikipedia works well too.

Reviewed on 12/9/18 12:43 PMThis atlas is suiteable for under-achieving grade-schoolers. Its lack of detail is epic. It is, however, colorful if that's what you are looking for in an atlas; otherwise, its $3.99 price is grand theft. Look elsewhere.

Reviewed on 12/9/18 12:43 PMI have been using this atlas for a couple years of college. It's good and I have no problems with the speed or details like some other reviewers. You really can't compare it to other atlases for the iPad since NONE of them have vector maps. These are in a class by themselves. If you are a geographer, you know what I mean. If you are looking for a good atlas, this one will not disappoint.

Reviewed on 12/9/18 12:43 PMI've read some reviews that pan the maps. I love the maps. They are simple, clear, attractive, and highlight the important. They don't zoom in for more detail. I use other apps that zoom well, but sometimes I just want the big picture, and the CIA database overview. Look at the screenshots; decide if that's a level of detail you like.
