Reviewed on 5/7/18 12:17 AMThe back < button doesn’t work on iPhone 8 iOS 11.3.1. So you can swipe hard but end up going back to main lists. The scroll down lists is somewhat sluggish & jerky. Male & female differences not determined in a lot of species. But it’s a nice app. Just needs some fine tuning.

Reviewed on 5/5/18 11:03 PMUseless taxonomic search! For example, it will show species containing with the word “thrush” if you search for thrushes, but won’t show the full list of thrushes unless you happen to know how to find the group by scrolling! Word search should be keyed to the bird GROUPS, not bird common names.

Reviewed on 5/25/18 8:01 PMI love this app! Very well made. However, with the update on iPhoneX, the play/pause buttons on the bottom of the screen interfere with the location of the bottom “home” bar.

Reviewed on 5/16/18 9:03 PMI am a retired ornithologist, and I use many field guides almost daily, both electronic and standard book guides. Because the Sibley field guide book is well known, I purchased this Ap. Unfortunately, this Ap is relatively poor, especially if you compare it to iBird Pro. I rated this Ap at 1 star, and I would rate iBird Pro at 4.5 stars. A 5 minutes comparison of these 2 Aps will quickly verify my rating.

Reviewed on 4/7/18 10:28 PMThe location where you type search terms is hidden on the iPhone X. This is now fixed, so the app is now working and is great.

Reviewed on 4/13/18 2:30 AMI’ve been using this guide for some time on an iPad mini. It has a slightly weird interface but it works well apart from that until the latest version. The search window above the list of birds is now mostly hidden. Complained about this issue yesterday from an update last week and it is already fixed. Great support!

Reviewed on 3/3/18 1:32 PMI would give this five stars, but the developer has not updated the app to accommodate the iPhone X screen, which obliterates the search function.

Reviewed on 3/10/18 6:43 AMStupid update broke search! The top banner mostly covers the search box so you can’t see what you’re typing! Also, if the list of species returned from a search extends down into keyboard area, there’s no way to click on a choice down there. Can’t close keyboard. May be able to pull list up to see bottom but it springs back when you let go. So you can’t click on anything near bottom of list. STUPID. Didn’t you folks try this out before you released update?

Reviewed on 3/10/18 4:55 PMI have used various apps and mobile field guides for both North America as well as several other regions around the world. Sibley’s is among the best that I have used. It is user friendly, comprehensive and has a great array of vocalizations. Update Needed for iPhoneX. Top of search bar is cut off.
