Was great when first issued for iPhone, particularly ability to add your own pictures and notes, but common names and at least generic names for new hybrids need to be added

From Minnesota. This doesn't have the most common shrubs and trees I was looking for. Maybe one variety of each specimen. Don't know if deserves one star. Very disappointed!

There may be a lot of plants in the database, but there's only minimal info on each. Where's the info on propagation, pruning, diseases? And I sprang for the professional upgrade!!!!! Very disappointed. I feel cheated.

Very very basic info that a kindergartener could understand...save your money and just google the plant....you will get more info then from this app. :(

Use google instead of this useless app

It's an ok place to start but loses its usefulness quickly. Relatively few pictures for the size of the database it claims to have. Search tool is a little clunky and doesn't include some aesthetic features that I would find valuable (like fall foliage color). If you are looking for native plants for your geographic region, you probably won't find much help here.

...no planting or zone specific info ...no info on common varieties ... a simple google search or various gardening/ landscaping websites will yield considerably more info ...waste of money imo

Two years after wasting good money to buy this useless app, I still find it to be completely useless. When I need to know anything at all about any plant, tree, flower, shrub... I still have to google it to get the information I am wanting. I hate throwing my money away. I was duped.

June 11th update needs another update. It won't open now. Fix this please.

Not informative at all. Waste of money. Wish I could get my money back to buy something different. Not worth the one star but they made me put one.

Poor database and even worse photos if any .... Clearly not intended for any landscaper

Couldn't find the plants I was entering. I searched for Red Yucca, New Gold Lantana and Salvia Greggii. Every time I searched for Salvia Gregii, it booted me out of the app. I'm very unhappy I paid $4.99 for this app!

This app is essentially worthless. It is advertised as a landscaping / gardening guide, yet it provide almost zero useable information. I purchased it for tips and tricks / how to's and basic planting and growing knowledge and it provides none of that. It is little more than a compilation of the type of info you'll find on the back side of the plastic plant Id card that comes with the plant when you buy it at a nursery. Can you say refund?

This app is still pretty useless even after two updates. Search feature works sporadically, many common plants still missing, way too few pics, and now the screen is frozen on one plant, cannot access button to bring up plant categories. Definitely lost money on this one...maybe someday they will get it right. So far I've not found a decent app for referencing garden plants.

My rating would be higher except there is a noticeable lack of plant pictures. Also, I've searched to 3 of the plants/trees I have in my yard... the search couldn't find them. I'm hoping updates will fill in the blanks.

I downloaded the standard version and well worth the $$. I like the favorites list option to save as a reference and show plants to clients. The cultural information on each plant is very helpful and comprehensive as well as the photos. I am a landscaper and professional horticulturist and recommend this useful app to anyone that works with plants.

So wanted it to be something. Now just another app I discard.

Disappointed. Photos take a long time to appear, if at all. Information on plant care is sparse at best. Wish I didn't spend the $.

Wow, I wish I'd read the reviews before I paid for this app! It crashes, you can't download the pictures, and you don't get what you've paid for!,,

Really good fit & finish for what is essentially a large catalog of plants and pictures. Good if you know what you want - not really helpful if you are looking for ideas or don't know what you are really looking for. No suggestions, etc. by use case, etc. Will look for another app that is more novice/suggestion oriented.

I purchased for the ability to add my own photos that the description claims it can do. However, once downloaded, it tells me I have to purchase the the PRO version for that capability. I'm already into it for $5 so not wanting to waste that, sprung for the $7 pro version. After that, the add photo is no longer ghosted in . . .so I attempted to add my photos. THEN it says I can only do that with the monthly storage plan at $10 a month! No THANKS!!!

Great choice for serious industry professionals. I found this to be an incredible resource to have at hand when offering plant recommendations to customers. The pro upgrade makes tracking large plant lists for many projects simple. Highly recommended! Thank you!

Not at all useful, not enough information on the plants, photos vary in quality and helpfulness. Some tree photos just show the branches and not the trunk.

This is the best gardening app I have found so far! Very informative! Please continue to add more varieties! Love it!

lots of plants, very useful

Very frustrating when it doesn't respond to touch when trying to add plants to project. Would also like to be able to add more than one photo at a time when I add plants.

Super powerful tool for any landscaping professional. The ability to add my own plants and pictures is great. I use it daily in my design business.

Very disappointing app. Lacks important information for each plant, such as propagating, pruning and basic care. Not enough photos and missing even basic plant photos such as roses.

Now that the weather has warmed up, I can't think of a better iPad App than Landscaper's Companion to get me back into gardening. The interface is beautiful, there are so many great images and descriptions. Easy to search and find just what I'm looking for. 5 STARS - Excellent App!

Just downloaded the June 11 update and it will not open! Now app is useless.

A true gardner did this well worth the price in a store a book costs at least 14.99 the pics are fab. the details just right and a huge amt of plants some I have not even seen before. only prob. a lot to download will crash at first. I hope this can be fixed. love the app.

It is really a disappointing website. I was hoping for information on pruning, bugs, diseases, etc. More like Sunset Garden Book but online. Wish I could get my money back.

Lovely photos and an extensive library. Disappointed, however, in the lack of information on most species with regard to soil conditions, and the numerous errors on height and width. Many list height/width in feet when it should be inches. To obtain additional features one must upgrade to the "professional" version for an additional $4.99.

Not a very helpful app at all. Could not find many common plants like fuschias. A waste of money

Love the icon. Love the design. But even more I love the product. The app is an amazing source of information. I even upgraded to the pro version because it was so useful to manage multiple plant lists. The notes that I keep on my plants are extremely useful. I said it in my review of the iPhone version. You get a $70 book, and a $30 software suite for only $5. Worth every penny!

There is little useful information about the plants and most plants do not have pictures, I wish I'd read the other reviews before buying it.

Great app, but I think more people would discover it if the name wasn't so misleading! 'Landscaper' makes it sound too much like it's only for professionals and only lists outdoor plants for landscaping. But when I took a chance on purchasing it; I was pleasantly surprised to find houseplants listed, too!! There's been lots of great updates, but it still needs to have the ability to 'Search' for a plant using its Common Name. Or have a whole category with Common Names of Plants...so the average person can easily find info on a house plant or outdoor plant for their yard. You do that & it would easily get 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 from me!

Find a lot of the pictures missing.Good app for a starting point I just don't find it as informative as needed for a professional level.

Not quite as extensive as it could be. Many varieties do not show pictures. Several common varieties missing from data base. Other than that has a broad selection of plants.

This is a great way to organize favorite plants you want to become better acquainted with. A few improvements could be made such as crashes when looking at plant photos in the image carousel. Also it would be nice to be able to email the favorites as a pdf or excel spreadsheet.

I like this app best of the gardening apps I have. I like the notes. I like being able to keep lists. I have not used the projects aspect yet but want to. I appreciate the updates and attempts to keep improving. The plant lists and by categories is the best I have seen. And because I know some plants by common name and others in Latin, this format seems okay to me! I look forward to more upgrades and will make suggestions when I find any issues.

I now grow some vegetables and a lot of fruit in the southwest, somewhat successfully. This app shows zero fruits and vegetables in what Sunset magazine says is my zone. It would help to have a map of the zone this app applies to parts of the country. I'm sorry I spent the money on this app because it does not make suggestions for my area not does it show any plants it thinks I could grow.

Great app overall. A little pricy and some more common plants could have more detail but overall I'm pleased.

Got this for my wife, she is an avid gardener and likes to have a handy reference. Took the extra time to pre Download the images, kept restarting, lucky it "remembers" where it was, but still has to go through the whole list (I would guess to confirm each file exists).

Too much info, not enough pics. Needs more intuitive searching. It is basically just a list of a bazillion plants and not very easy to narrow down if you have a general idea of what you want.
