I love that as I read the scriptures, my reference of choice is always available and following along to at my pace. Allows my study time to be more efficient.

SO MANY HANDY FEATURES I HARDLY KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN! The app offers plenty of free Bible versions and resources to get you started, as well as a selection of reading plans. For paid resources, my personal favorites are the NASB Study Bible and the NASB Strong’s. Combined with the Complete Word Studies of the Bible and Theological Words of the Old Testament, these in-app purchases are well worth the price! There are so many customizable features, I’m sure I’ll forget to mention some. Among my favorites are customizable gestures and the ability to change colors and fonts for the various types of panels and kinds of type, such as a hyperlink, footnote number, or cross-reference letter. There are also a wide variety of ways to mark texts and add notes, including special symbols for various note types and incredibly customizable highlighters. Also available are tags that can be added to notes, and probably many other study goodies I’m forgetting. I also love the resource panel that keeps up with what I’m reading in the Bible so I can quickly and easily look up just about anything I want. Searching the Bible for certain words, either in English or the original languages, is fast and sure beats the old-fashioned way of visually scanning long columns of tiny print in Strong’s. Not to mention manhandling the heavy, large format physical book! I can use multiple study resources anywhere without lugging along heavy, cumbersome stacks of books! Another handy feature is the history panel, which allows you to quickly and easily return to any passage you’ve viewed over a period of days (I’ve never tested to see just how far back it goes, but I’ve never had a problem with it not going back far enough). Three of improvements I look forward to include: 1. A much simpler way to search for specific phrases in the text, 2. An auto-adjustment of “default” search location (so the app automatically suggests searching the testament and/or the book you are currently viewing), and 3. The ability to print or at least export all or multiple notes at once, selected by passage, date range, highlighter, tag, date, etc, so I can have a hard copy of all my studies arranged or sorted in any way I like.

It does not take the place of the Bible in my hands for study, but almost.

I have been using this app for awhile, and I really like how I can highlight my favorite verses, tap on words to get the Hebrew word and meaning, and find commentary when I need it. It’s been a great no-nonsense bible reading app. I also like that I can go back to a previously searched section with the swipe of a finger.

I’ve had this app for a few years. It was great at first, but after one of the upgrades, it’s been unreliable and a pain to use. I’ve deleted and reinstalled and it’s the same. The worst part is that it can’t be used whenever I’m offline.

I like this app fairly well. Countdown not give five stars because they stopped supporting my older tablet that I used fir reading this app with. Also wish it was easier get rid of all the Bible’s except the King James Version. Over all a great app if you always have only the newest technology. If you have older technology you will be disappointed:(

I love..love..love this app! So easy to use and to have on all your devices. It is great that anytime you want to read scriptures it is right there. To have the ability for extra study, to open any concordance or dictionary resources you need for extra research and application is amazing!!!

Olive tree bible keeps getting better and better and I’m finding it hard to keep up, lol. It’s a well of resources to help you get your relationship with God to where it should be.

Still my favorite bible app...but audio would be very helpful. I find myself referring others to The Bible app by YouVersion because it has several versions in audio. I love the app and really love having various versions of the Bible with me. What I do wish for is the ability to listen to the Bible while I read, great for pronunciation of names, or listen while I relax my eyes. Being able to listen while reading is also a great tool for those who have difficulties reading.

Easy to use. Great selection of free Bibles. Bibles that you pay for are not over priced. I like the selection of Bibles in Spanish. NA28 & UBS5 with critical apparatus are available and I have them both and enjoy using them in split screen mode on my iPad.

It tends to be more expensive than other apps but it has vast content that is useful. Highly recommended. Also, eSword is a great Bible app. I use multiple Bible apps but Olive Tree the most.

I love this app

I can’t say enough how cool this app is. It doesn’t eclipse turning the actual pages of God’ word, but it comes really close. The only thing I would like to change is making the text bigger for selecting book/chapter/verse. Other than that, excellent app.

Awesome App! Great Study Tool

This app is easy to navigate. I am able to type in a key word to find verses that I need to read in my time of need. It also has purchase options for extra help. I still have so much to look through and so far it’s been beneficial for me.

I had to delete this s***** app simply because i could not get to the Bible!! Isn't the whole point of the app?? But no they had to mess with it by doing unnecessary updates! They changed it so much that you wouldnt know where to get to book chapter and verse!! Its filled with extraneous things like other books and such..very frustrating. Update: now another problem that just enfuriated me; why put that red a bright red dot to indicate messages?? I don’t want messages nobody does! Anyway what really enfuriated me is that I CANT GET RID OF THE MESSAGES!!! Why do that! Heaven forbid that I should ever download your useless app again!!

The only thing missing is that it has no easy Note portability. I would love to save all my notes to a transferable form, say .pdf, so that I could then send them to my desktop (or cloud) for printing and/or archiving. Otherwise, it's a great app, full-featured and very intuitive to use.

I like the way it keeps my place from day to day so I can start where I stopped reading earlier or even the day or two before

Easy to use off-line bible on my I-pad, nice features and simple to open, read, and research.

I’ve never been able to afford $600 for a bible program, but I don’t need a collection of reformed commentaries either. Having a Bible that works flawlessly with the Strong’s and the cross references is plenty to keep the focus on Jesus Christ. The note taking features are simple and searchable.

I have everything I need of God’s Word in the palm of my had. All I need to hear, study, worship and give God’s Word.

Update on 9/24: the new update has made it difficult to select text to highlight or copy. When I move the cursor around to make a selection, it moves beyond the selection or selects whole sections instead. This was never a problem before. Please fix as the Bibles are not free. My go-to Bible app.

I never really have time to read my Bible so the app is really helpful since I can have it on the go! Really good!!!

Powerful Bible with fingertip access to devotional and scholarly study tools.

It had an update recently and the update was great, although I couldn't find this new audio feature at all. Had another update a few days later and now the app is stuck on "loading" and won't open at all. Guess I'll have to uninstall and reinstall and add everything yet again and sync yet again which takes forever. And since the developers have not given us the ability to sync while closed you have to keep the screen on and make sure it doesn't go off, constantly watching it or toggling the auto-lock feature to off in order for it to finally sync, which, as I said, takes forever to complete. I like the app but it's more trouble than it's worth. On the search for another Bible app. Tired of deleting and reinstalling when they come out with a buggy "fix" then tells us to reinstall the app again when you report the app as being broken.

Bible program is the best on the market, which makes learning and studying very simple. Also you are able to keep notes and to write out your sermon at all and this one program, and so much resources made available within the Olive tree software. I recommended to minister that serve at our church and to Pastor‘s, which I am, and also to the general body of Christ. It would be the best investment you can make for your spiritual life.

I have indeed try many Bible Study Apps, until I finally laid my hands on olive tree Bible App. I can say on authority that am stacked with Olive Tree Bible App. Very easy to use, keep up the good work.

The Olive Tree application is the one I use primarily due to its functionality and display. I enjoy having all the various versions of the Bible and commentaries as well as other materials. I no longer carry any other Bible with me to church or other setting. It is installed on all my devices and maintains synchronization across them all. I also love the search capabilities.

Your “user interface” is very natural with respect to the mental prayerful dialogue for search, perceive, listen to Holy Spirit, contending in Christ and conceiving the Intent of the Word of the Father - even His Confirmation. That is natural to Isa 43:26! JWR

I’m a Christian in China. I was so blessed by this bible study app. I spent lots of time on it. The study bible and commentaries are such powerful tools to understand what God says in his words. I have to say, this study app is almost the reason why I’m having an iPad.

On the original Google Phone circa 2005, I used AcroBible, which was great. Then, I moved to Logos in 2012, which is great but to complex for a Bible app. Olive tree is the best bible app available. Simple like acrobible with the ability to be full depth like logos. This allows users to add more and more to the app as they walk and grow in God’s word. Fantastic app!

By far this is the best application I've ever used to do my Bible study with I would highly recommend it as it has so many features and integration capabilities that keep me on track with my studies great job

While I appreciate the addition of audio bibles, my library is full of books already purchased. Now I get the privilege of buying again. I think it would have been better to offer an upgrade to already purchased ebooks at a deep discount.

This Holy Bible app is a great resource for when you don’t have access to a tangible Bible, and the option to add a Strong’s Concordance makes it an excellent study resource on the go. I highly recommend this app.

I love the Bible study guides, but it is a bit frustrating that the app has stopped working for me to read the Bible in. I mostly just use it as a checklist for what to read in scripture.

Really enjoy the app. The search tool, and the notes are what I use most. I’d like to be able to go back to the previous passage I read before a search without having to select it again.

I LOVE your Bible app. I use it on both my iPhone and my Surface Pro. The only problem that concerns me is that I’m not able to adjust the font size in Notes. At age 70 I’m now needing larger fonts...Ha! Please give that some consideration for us older users. God Bless.

I love the digital bibles and their outstanding useful tools for study! I’ve used this app for more years than I can count! But I am weary of receiving constant solicitations for and comments from the more conservative, evangelical theology! If I could find another source of digital bibles, I would drop this app like a hot rock!

Olive Tree makes it so easy to look up scriptures during lessons. Ladies Bible study is a breeze using the app for the fill in the blank questions. The search feature enabled me to find a passage used in a Sunday worship for one of our elderly members 2 weeks after the service. It took me a while to get used to using the app rather than my Bible, but I would find it difficult to go back now.

I am a very long time user. Awesome is just not good enough for this app. Today is 9/19/2018... I just purchased my first audio bible and just when I thought the developers would have a hard time “wowing” me, they did it again. The new audio feature is fantastic! I love the NKJ Word of Promise audio bible. I do not know why this app is not a solid 5 in the ratings.

Used a couple months now. A great bible app w/out ads.

Does not deserve a drum roll. Says that audio is added. I installed the update and I don’t see any place to select audio. There are no changes to the screen. Exited out of the app and then re opened. It opened to a screen that says “A method to help you stop skimming the Bible.” It will not leave that page. CAN NOT USE.

I really appreciate this app because of the availability of different versions of the Bible, it’s user-friendliness, because they are always working to improve and expand. Great job Olive tree!

I didn’t know about this Bible app and one day I started searching through all the Christian apps the AppStore had and came across this one and thought I’d check it out. So far it is been the best app I’ve ever used and I was a LONG time user of YouVersion Bible app. I love everything about this app and even my father has started using it and shares it with everyone he meets.

I’ve had all of the Olive Tree Bible apps on every iPhone I have owned and had no problems until recently. My iPhone 7 plus does not have any technical issues at all, but all of my Olive Tree Bible apps stopped working. The same is true with my wife’s iPhone 7 Plus. We both deleted those apps and are looking elsewhere

Love the update to the library. Being able to manage storage and off load resources that I am not currently using (but want to keep handy) is just what I was looking for yesterday!!

This is a well designed application that is fully usable in its free version. It has a number of Bible versions. ESV and KJV and others are free, others require payment. It comes with many Bible study plans. It can be customized in numerous ways. Fonts can be changed and resized and colors modified. Many other features.

When he reveals his word to us by his grace we begin to understand his word Psalm 119 :73 Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments. So this bible is great for taking notes and getting to a passage quickly I use it every Sunday to take notes and add scripture to my Notes during the sermon.

It is good to have an actual Bible. Let’s not substitute the Bible on our phones with the actual Bible. I forget so many times to carry my Bible so pray for me. That being said, I love that we have this online Bible that we can download on our devices. The Olive Bible is my favorite. Thank you so much for your hard work men and women of God. I purchased this app, then it crashed. In order to now access the Bible, I had to repurchase it.

Have loved this app and have algae it for several years with many purchases. But it will no longer open on my iPhone X. Just sits there looking like it’s loading.

The feature rich app helps me follow the pastor as he moves through the Bible during the sermon and Sunday school class more easily. The color coded cross references make bible study a breeze. The black background feature makes use of the app during church much less distracting to people seated nearby compared to a white background.

Soooo helpful for studies. Wish I could underline as well as highlight.

This is by far my favorite Bible App! So many versions and options! Easy to customize. There was a problem lately and the app froze and i had to delete and re-install. Now my KJV Strong’s Bible is there but the strongs definitions says: “could not find dictionary.” Check it out Olive Tree 🌳 💚 I’m missing strongs!

I’ve had Olive Tree for years on both Apple and windows devices. The app always works as advertised and has the content I need.

I’ve been using this app since 2008 and the development team consistently keeps improving the app and keeps it up to date with the latest iOS version. I love using this app on my MacBook Pro and my iPad and iPhone. It is stable on all my Apple devices. This is by far, the best Bible study app for Apple devices. My favorite feature is syncing my notes across all my devices. It is a great joy to use this app for studying the original languages of the Old and New Testaments while using my BHS and NA28 (texts with original languages and complete parsing) combined with all my lexicons. It really helps me prepare all my sermons and lessons as a pastor. This app is a blessing to the Church.

I’ve been using the Olive Tree Bible Study (OTBS) app since 2003 when I installed it on my first iPod Touch. Through every update, upgrade, and book downloaded, it has worked flawlessly across all of my iOS devices including the iPod Touch, iPad 4, and numerous iPhone upgrades as well as iOS updates…until iOS 11.4.1 (15G77). After applying this update on my iPhone 7, the app would not open. When I could not find a fix in the App Store, tonight I reluctantly *uninstalled and reinstalled* the OTBS hoping to restore my full library of translations, studies, maps, commentaries, and biographies. >>> It worked. I’ve had to download the translations and books again but it for the most part, it has worked.

Not only the best bible software SUITE, they have great customer service. Once you have this, it will be your go to reading/study tool. I have had Olive Tree for over 10 years now. So many options of both study and content adjustments such as highlighting and colorizing backgrounds and the text. I would like them to add one thing, but they might already have it. Audio narrative in both voice and drama versions. BRILLIANT! Easy to use!

I have used this app for years now. Just starting a one year Bible reading plan (my first not in a physical Bible). I was interested to see that there are many topical reading plans offered as well. May try some of them out at some point.

Great app for bible study. I switch between commentaries while staying in the word on the split screen. I’m in this app more than any other.

In my opinion, do to ease of use infinite resource materials, there is no better Bible app on the market today. This will greatly enhance your knowledge and help bring your spirit to a higher level. I am in Bible study heaven. We are so blessed to have this technology available to read, learn about, and study our Lord’s precious Word. I do have a good sized collection of actual physical books, maps, dictionaries, commentaries, Bible Translations, Strong’s, Handbooks, etc., but using the Olive Tree app makes reading and studying so easy due to instant search results, ability to change fonts and text size, and the app automatically brings up relevant info from my Library related to the Bible text I am reading. The Olive Tree Store makes it easy to purchase Bibles, books, maps, etc. that works seamlessly with the Olive Tree App. The app works well on both my iPad and MacBook...great app & I highly recommend it. I have been using the app for 4 years.

It's an excellent app, the more you use features like bookmarks (and re-labeling bookmarks) , categories, etc, you can get a grasp of what kind of a study tool it really can be. If you just want a book reader, there may be cheaper options elsewhere. But overall value as a study tool is excellent. I've also had very good experiences on the rare occasion I contacted customer support.

Olive Tree is an excellent way to study using the New Living Translation. The navigation is fast, and having the NLT study notes in parallel at the same speed really is convenient. Great cross references too. Two thumbs up!!

Would like to be able to look up original meaning of a word as I read...similar to using a strongs or vines.

I love the app and the way that notes or organized. This thing that could make this app absolutely great, is if they added some basic formatting to personal notes. For instance bullets or dashes. That has to be a fairly standard set of additions to programs. Bizarre as to why it’s not been added

There are constantly resources on sale for very reasonable prices, such as study Bible notes, commentaries from the most wise Bible teachers in history, and tools to help understand the original languages of the Bible. It’s all setup so efficiently and beautifully. When I recommend a Bible app to someone these days, it’s always Olive Tree.

Provides ability to purchase a wide variety of books & study materials to use in flexible Bible study environment. Great app to explore multiple resources together in a very organized & flexible environment. May also elect to read the resources individually. Great app!

I have been using Olive tree bible app for quite a few years and it has been a blessing. I highly recommend this app, if you need a app that has all the study resources needed and more to be knowledgeable in the word of God.

It’s working great now. My biggest disappointment is the lack of links from the scripture to the Bible Maps books I’ve tried. Why not link place names? OlEd

When I don’t have access to my Bible, this is the next best thing! I take notes and save them on the verse that I’m studying! Has a great search option, you can search OT or NT or the whole Bible ❤️

This is the best bible app I have used

Excellent app except occasionally a Hebrew word is associated with the wrong entry in the Theological Workbook of the Old Testament (TWOT).

The only glitch I have is because my phone is old. Otherwise it’s a great free app. I do wish there were a couple more versions that don’t cost money but honestly that is only thing that bothers me personally. Oh and I have not figured out if you can remove a highlight from a text. If there is away.

I have used many different online versions of the Bible. And I have found the olive tree is the easiest to use yet!

I have had the Olive Tree for many years now and it is the best I have found for reading and studying the bible. I would encourage everyone to use it even if it’s just for everyday reading.

I’ve used this app for many years now and it has served me well and been so useful. I use the note system to guide me through the Bible every year. I take a passage from four sections of the Bible each day: Psalms, Proverbs, Old Testament and New Testament. It takes me through Psalms twice each year. I’ve found that reading the Bible out loud makes it more understandable and meaningful. I would recommend this app to anyone.

I travel quite often and always seemed to have an excuse for not taking my bible with me. Now that I have this one on my iPad I can easily read my bible when I am on the road with no excuses. I just love it!

I love this app. It has a number of good bible versions. It also is easy to highlight verses and attach notes to verses. It is also easy to delete highlights and notes. I use it everyday for personal devotions and sermon preparation.

Olive Life Study Bible is Amazing to read and study

Awesome app if you can afford to purchase the tools that are not included. If you can’t, it’s an ok app. I do like that one can highlight or underline partial verses or even just a single word. I highly recommend the NKJV Bible with the Concordance. It’s great for word studies which leads to deeper understanding of God’s Word.

I’ve used the olive tree app for years to take notes at church in the passage and to study my bible each morning. I love the way it allows you to integrate commentaries with the passage.

Without question this is the best bible study tool I own. I can move quickly through translations, notes, expositions and not miss a beat. It is simple to use and I have been using the app since it launched and it has only improved over time. Absolutely recommend to everyone!

In my journey to spending time with my Sovereign God, I have found this digital bible app to be a great tool. I’m able to highlight, add notes, tag, bookmark scripture and search key words to find the scripture I’m looking for, available offline to read, it has many tools: verse of the day if you want to read the whole scripture you can, your reading history by date and title. In your settings you have a store if you want to purchase bibles, study materials, commentaries, concordances and so much more! I gave it a 4 star it would have been nice to have other features such as options to use audio for those with vision impairments. Great app thank you.

I love the Bible study two very important items: 1. I’ve used your study for at least 15 years you keep blocking me and Witt not/do not reconnect me after talking you on and off got about 10 months just gave up and use other programs. 2. Don’t take a person to rate you then force them to write a review. I cannot get out of your program without resetting my iPad. Very uncouth.

Always comes in handy whenever I don’t have my bible on me. Even when I do have my bible I like the ability to find verses off keywords.

This is the greatest study Bible that I have acquired, it’s pack with good study tools and easy to navigate icons and help videos a knowledgeable library in both Hebrew and Greek, and a easy online way to add commentary, Bibles, maps and other biblical books to your library, this app is a must have for the beginner and advanced Bible student.

This is my go-to personal bible study, teaching/ministering preparation app. The NKJV with Strong's is my favorite. You tap on most words and Hebrew (OT) or Greek (NT) meanings come up. Fabulous way to understand things as they were first written. I use lots of the available resources. Great NIV and NIV study notes, too. Olive Tree is responsive to customer communications. That is so appreciated. A recent upgrade was causing terrible crashes. They scrambled to fix things quickly. Much appreciated. These folks are on top of their game. They remain sensitive to folks using early iPad editions. Needs more development time: The app on my desktop Mac and laptop PC is sadly more cumbersome and less intuitive than the excellent phone and tablet versions. Word searching is clunkier, and GO TO requires a pull down menu that is less than cooperative, if those two app versions were better this would be a seven star app. One more whine/suggestion: the second window (on the phone and tablet app) would love to more intuitively remain open each time you fired things up. Seems like I either haven't yet learned (after many years!) or simply can't get it to always open when the primary window opens. Either reason, it's frustrating.

I meditate on God’s word in the mornings, so I don’t like annoying ads and pop ups. Otherwise, I’ll go back to my paper Bible. Please fix this.

Fast, efficient, customizable, works on MacBook, phone, iPad. Cheap way to study and add to your collection as your funds allow. I especially like the Strong’s bibles. Just click or hover on a word and get the Hebrew meaning immediately. Highly recommend. I have this app opened almost every time I sit down to study as a resource.

If I don’t jot the thought down at the moment...then I forget it. The note feature never lets me forget the thought!

The notes feature is another way to add your own resource material. Love being able to create different underlines for different topics/categories.

I love when I’m able to read scripture from my phone. Whenever I feel the need to study, my phone is easy access.

I’ve used pricier apps but this is affordable and easy to use. It is my go to resource on my phone and laptop. I recommend it to everyone.

With consistent improvement even on note taking on this App, I couldn’t reserve anything but best. You sure deserve all the stars. With note taking capacity it’s akin to divinely being given the human will and enabled to live out your life to God’s glory by writing your own script about your life.

The ease this app affords an avid Bible student is incredible. Great all around electronic Bible and Study Tools. Multiple books and versions accessible. My favorite feature is if you are taking notes you can abbreviate the Bible verse (i.e. Gen 1:12) this Bible will link to the verse. You can touch the verse and read it in a pop up. Then you can also open that verse in the main window. You can connect your notes to a tag, category or verse. You can go back to previous studies when you need a refresher or to be encouraged again. If you have multiple devices you can sync notes between devices. I have used several free bibles. However, you get what you pay for. This tool is worth it, if you are a serious student of The Word!

This Bible study software has changed my life. It has allowed me to dig deeper into the word of God. It actually is the Holy Spirit that has changed my life by the renewing of my mind through the word of God. It is a continual process to make us more like Christ. This app makes study easy with many tools at your finger tips. I travel a lot and it makes it easy to keep God’s word handy. When I get up in the morning, the first things I reach for are the iPad and a cup of coffee.

While the comments are frequently wordy while stating the obvious, the maps and tables are valuable in understanding the scripture and helping me to retain the key points across the books.

I use this daily for it has all versions in one place paired with dictionaries, commentaries etc and all at a fair price (and many free items too).

Very easy to use!

After making it known over a year and a half ago that PARTIAL VERSE CUT & PASTE only cuts the verse number and not the BOOK & CHAPTER also (useless in notes when returning to them later) the issue remains. Settings DOES NOT OFFER A CORRECTIVE OPTION. What good is a note saved for later that has been cut and pasted that looks like this ... 5 And he returned in chains, yet ... Verse 5 from where?!?!?!

This is a fantastic App with so many resources.

I own several different Bible software programs, and have found each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Pro: Excellent selection of commentaries and study helps, including some hard to find materials. Pricing is good when offered 'on sale'. Usually much cheaper than Logos. Cons: Functionality is a bit challenging. This app still needs scroll bars...easy to grab handles to scroll up and down in the text of the Bible and the commentaries. This is my Bible app of choice,but don’t let up on improvements.

The only books they make available are VERY CONSERVATIVE ones. But it’s a great app. User controls are excellent. Amazing what they can get on the tiny iPhone screen, but on the iPad it's luxurious. They've also done a great job of the multi-platform thing. Great work!

The app runs great on iOS. The Android app requires an increased amount of RAM. In an Android device with 1GB RAM, this app struggles and the device would switch to “low memory state”

Everything I need for an intense bible study.

This is the only Bible I use whether on my iPad or iPhone. I have all my notes from sermons, classes, and I can resource everything right on the app. The split screen to compare versions or pull up reference its super. I’ve been using this app for several years and I have never been dissatisfied with any of its features.

For some reason I cannot make purchases from the app. Cannot take advantage of be sale.

I’m probably going on 8 years of using this app. I’ve probably used it as long and as consistently as email or the safari browser. I love that it is fully offline. As long as I’ve downloaded the Bible versions I want, then I can view them anywhere at anytime regardless of my internet connection. Plus it doesn’t spend 45 seconds “trying” to get a connection before showing the main screen. You touch the icon and it just comes up, ready to go. Finding a scripture is 3 clicks. Changing bible versions is quick and easy. Taking notes and making highlights is easy, and they work across the apps on my other devices. Great all around. I recommend it highly.
