This is a complete handwriting app, it does as described. As the name says, it has a lot of zoom. It works perfect with the Apple Pencil, very responsive and smooth hand writing and cero crashes. It gets updates often to correct bugs, which is great. Has lots of note books to choose, different papers and now it has calendars a great addition, it can record, etc. To me this is an excellent app, with sooo many features that are very handy. It also has different rulers for drawing objects. ZoomNotes is getting better and better. I highly recommend this app. If you like to take handwriting notes, this app is a must to have

This is a great app and the developer is engaged with users to add features. I can do with this one app things that would take at least 3 different apps for other programs like it.

I would echo some of the positives already mentioned. But what gives me pause is the issue with iCloud sync feature. In one event, I lost a document because of ZoomNotes syncing issue with iCloud. With a new iPad, I am experiencing another issue with syncing where my documents are not downloading. And finally folder structures do not sync as it is not on the desktop version. This has the potential to compete with OneNote but it needs to take note from some of the successes from GoodNotes,OneNote or Notability.

16 December 2018 Still 5 stars. Updates continue to improve my experience. ZN features and stability still out shine its competitors. There isn’t another app in this category designed at this level. This is an update to my review below. I’ve been using ZoomNotes for over a year now. ZoomNotes combines all the best features of other iPad Note Taking apps, as well as, Adobe CC features - InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator - and combines these into one, incredibly stable app. Layers, links, pen/pencil, shapes, nesting, geo location, cropping images, importing jpegs, PDFs etc., all present. Want a subpage in a main page? ZoomNotes does it. Want to design, draw or paint in layers and then lock a layer? ZoomNotes does it. Need to set links within a document? ZoomNotes does it. What else do you want? ZoomNotes probably will do it. Downloaded ZoomNotes. Pour a bourbon. Settle in. Explore. Absolutely phenomenal!

I am new to digital planning so naturally I followed what was the popular apps to use. That, of course, was GoodNotes, Procreate, and Keynote. But GoodNotes has so many limitations. And you have to jump in between the apps to do things. Then I heard people mentioning this app and all the things you could do with it. There is a learning curve but this app has almost everything you want. And more things being added that planners are looking for. All because the developer listens to suggestions and wishes and tries to make them all happen. Just give it a try. I promise you will love it.

I love this app! It is so great to use with my digital planner. Being able to create links to slides, have the usage of different layers, and the paint bucket are some of my favorite things about it. Having so many different tools to work with make it such a great app.

ZoomNotes is so feature-rich that it's a little daunting at first. But once you start using the app and its features, you realize how incredibly intuitive they are, making the learning curve much softer. This, combined with the fact that they are constantly listening to user feedback and incorporating many of our suggestions and new feature requests, makes this app well worth the money, and one I will be using for years to come!

Hello, I am a new ZoomNotes user. I was really excited to try the app and I do like the features such as layers and being able to edit on different layers. I just feel th at this app is "glitchy". Sometimes when I’m writing the notes disappear and then reappear a few seconds later. If this app could run smoother then I would make a full switch from Goodnotes. Keep working on it! I look forward to seeing how this app improves!

Been using ZoomNotes as my program for my digital planner. It’s heavily loaded with links, images, sub pages. This app without a doubt is the most complete editor I’ve come across, having spent too much money in my quest. There’s a ways to go in working out the kinks in the system but the developer is extremely responsive to questions and concerns. What I would like to see are tutorials for using the software, it’s not setup intuitively. I’m very persistent in learning and trying things, others who are not may not stay with it for very long if those don’t become available and or the user interface doesn’t become more intuitive. All it all, it’s totally worth the learning curve.

I have been using ZoomNotes for years! Unlike some apps you pay for and they stop updating it or they add lots of in app purchases ZoomNotes updates regularly and they are quick to add functionality and new features like support for Apple Pencil 2 already!! Best of all they have very responsive tech support and are very quick to answer question. I really like the interface, it's not overwhelming when your trying to work however don't be fooled by how simple it looks, if you start going through the setting or read their manual online you will quick realize that ZoomNotes is so much more than your typical note taking application! Not only can you zoom in and out with no limits you can import power point slides and take notes on top of them (I take notes right on top of the power point slides during my Chemistry lectures) you can insert pictures, audio, documents, you can even have notes inside your notes! It’s possible to create whole presentations and so much more!! It’s easily worth the cost if not more!!

The infinite whiteboard ability and ability to inject other ZoomNotes files themselves, is quite nicely done. The developers have definitely put a lot of thought into creating a nice note taking app that’s very powerful. There’s tons of customizability such as custom system color palettes. One big issue, however, is the two-finger pinch zoom. It doesn’t register often, and it’s extremely frustrating to try to quickly zoom around your document. It seems to get better if I pause and wait 1-2 seconds between every pinch; but sometimes not even the first pinch is picked up at all. For an app called “ZoomNotes”, I would think that the 2-finger pinch would be the key feature that needs to be buttery smooth! (Just like inking in Notability is their best feature). Btw, for those who wonder how Inking is here, it is pretty good, on par with most note taking apps, but loses to Notability. Notability’s inking takes pressure sensitivity into account *while* you are inking - try writing the word “except” very quickly in cursive - all note taking apps render the little lines that connect the ‘x’ bottom right to upper right (as you graze the paper with your pen gently lifted) as a full line (including ZoomNotes). Notability, however, renders that little connecting line as a lighter line. Now that IPads are more and more powerful, I think the devs can afford using more CPU time on breaking down the inking steps into smaller granularity so that they can render intra-stroke lines with differing lift-off distances to correlate to ink thickness. Thanks

I have most others and nothing comes close to the flexibility and breadth of ZoomNotes. Ease of use is excellent. Why it does not get listed more often is a mystery - or maybe they just play fair.

I m so stinking thrilled. Omg. Best app ever. I have the Apple Pencil. This is beyond real. I can add images on my book writing journey and my YaYa RV journey. Love it. Is there a way to lock your writings, so they cannot be erased or wrote over??? UPDATE - Deleting the app today. It is so unintuitive and takes forever to figure it out. Even just bought it for my husband and spent $$, now using One Note. I give up on this one. You cannot even figure out where the eraser is. Bye bye!!

The app is amazing for those who wish to actually take detailed notes or think things out. Good for literally anything. Problem is, I don’t own an iPad, iPhone X is what I got. And the rounded corners on the screen already makes selecting things in the corners a little difficult. But doing things horizontal, the notch interferes with the interface. Can there be an update to fix that? And, can you make the option menus that occasionally appear display under the time in the top left corner. Like to close prompts. There needs to be a lot of usability improvements for iPhone X. I cannot afford an iPad Pro. Or an iPad. I’m a Highschooler, this phone made a huge dent in my wallet. I just ask for improvements. And maybe better integration with iCloud. Thanks!

AFTER 4 YEARS OF THOROUGH USE: I am still impressed with this developer and haven’t yet used every feature that ZoomNotes has to offer. Without doubt, this is One of the TOP 3 APP’s, that I’ve ever invested in-and still using I might add! For Developer: Your diligence, work ethic, and customer service is in a class of its own as well. It’s no wonder this limitless Multi-functional App. Is so exceptional. Writing now, this 2nd review, after years and years of your hard work is the least that we can do. I know that we don't have to say this, but: “PLEASE, KEEP UP THE OUTSTANDING WORK!” - Another VERY satisfied consumer.

I am updating a rather old review. Improvements move this back from one star to four. I have tried a range of hand-writing/-note-taking/-sketching apps. This is (again) my go-to app among them all. I use it almost entirely now in place of pen + paper. I have yet to exhaust its features. My favorite use is to project whiteboard-like notes using ZoomNotes and an AirPlay app. Pros: Feature rich beyond any other. Among the best in its smooth ink feel. Wrist guard and tool box can be set to handle from left or right side. The main tools are laid out with forethought to common use. Cons: The UI settings can be a bit muddled, exhaustive, or comical looking. For the first two issues, thank goodness for workspaces. You can remove all tools but those that you really want. Neutral: The icons for the tools are … interestingly unique (to each his own here … they remain my least favorite things about this app). Summary: For me, this app is like a funky looking car that I hate to drop because it works so well. Almost since it’s inception, I have wished the UI would undergo a major overhaul. I wish the document handling would be streamlined thoroughly to be sparsely professional. Otherwise, to replace the pen+paper note-taking and sketching work that I need to do routinely, this is absolutely the only iPad app of its class that I will use.

A great note taking app. It has so many features. Be prepared to invest some time to learn how to use it. A few things that I would like to see: * Search handwriting, like GoodNotes * Export a ZoomNotes’s sub page to be its own page in ZoomNotes * Import pointers to documents, so that one document can be edited from multiple notes.

The writing experience in terms of choosing pens, colors, and page distribution is really nice. Just to let you know, I am person who likes big letters. I would like to have better editor functions, like on a pc: Listed files, word search, cutting and pasting different texts together and all texts arranged in files and folders. The latter is already the case, but can be improved.

This is the most versatile note taking app I have found. I use it for all my note taking. I really like the ability to insert handwritten notes with pdf files, including adding pages etc. It takes a bit to get used to all the features but it is well worth the effort. The ease of zooming in and out and writing in the margins of PDF files is also very handy. Still very happy with it. I love the infinite whiteboard option. It really feels like having a large whiteboard where you can write anywhere. It’s also great for annotating a pdf file when you need to write more than just minor comments. This continuous to be my favorite note taking app. One of the features of traditional writing and note taking is that you can spread out multiple sheets of paper in front of you. This allows you to keep a good overview of what you are working on. I really missed this aspect of physical notes when I switched to my iPad. However, the whiteboard mode with infinite zoom of ZoomNotes allows me to effectively have a virtual desk with many sheets of handwritten notes. (Tip: lay out a grid of letter size boundaries on your whiteboard before starting to take notes. You can easily fit 25 pages that way. Well, of course you could do millions but you want to mimic a physical desk.)
Lars007's Review of ZoomnotesReviewed on 11/18/18 7:37 PM
I have tried several notes apps, but always found them somewhat lacking. ZoomNotes is the first such app that has everything that I need. I love the virtually unlimited canvas feature! I also find it easy to organize pages in various ways, including as sub-pages to other pages. The learning curve is a bit steeper than other notes apps, but the manual is quite good and it is well worth it to spend some time reading it before using the app.

Update: I had a problem with using the pen function. Turns out it was a setting. The developer pointed this out, and changing that setting fixed it! I'm a happy camper now! BTW, I use Zoomnotes to study Chinese characters. I simply create decks of study cards, and export them from Dropbox to Zoomnotes. Zoomnotes excels as a study platform. I can flip through the study cards, and trace over the characters I need to practice. It doesn't get any better than that!

I have paid a lot of money downloading many note apps but I kept feeling unsatisfied. If I put all of the paid and free apps that I downloaded together in one app, they all will not have all the features this one app has. THAT IS INSANE!!! Before my iPad I had the surface pro 3, and before that I had the galaxy note 12.2 tablet. ALL OF THE NOTE TAKING APPS FROM ANDROID, MICROSOFT, AND IOS WILL NOT GIVE YOU ALL OF THE OPTIONS THAT THIS APP GIVES. THAT IS FREAKING INSANE!!! I am a real consumer and I am in college for Electrical Engineering. When I take notes I have to draw many mathematical pictures. Nothing comes close to the ease of making my graphs and precise circuit pictures like using this app. I really wish that I found this first. Here are a few of my favorite features... Emojis. Adding pictures fast from a pdf book or a camera. FAST! Erasing with my finger while writing with the pen. Custom papers and templets. Many Rulers. Easy to use. Easy to organize. Calendar. Sound recorder. Takes my handwriting well. Doesn’t destroy it. I can make it an infinite paper or any other size. Able to open in multitask window. And many more that I forgot to list. These are the options that I liked. You cane remove some of them if you don’t like them. There are many more. There is almost every single option that other note taking apps have in here. DID I MENTION THAT THE AMOUNT OF OPTIONS IN THIS APP ARE INSANE!!! I accidentally paid twice for this app but I’m not even mad about that. I paid extra for all the features in the Lite app and then I bought this one but I don’t even care. These developers deserve every single penny. Thank you so much for making this app the perfect app for me and many others. You guys deserve to be on the top of the chart. I am going to write the same review on your lite app. Edit: I have not found the app to be buggy but some other reviewers have. There are times when some options act like a bug but aren’t really bugs. For example, when I use the Apple Pencil to try and resize a picture from the corner, the app zooms the picture all the way in. That is because after a second of holding my pencil it zooms in. So it’s not a bug it’s just that the zoom in option is too sensitive because it only waits one second. I haven’t looked deep enough in the options to see if I can turn this off or on but it doesn’t bother me that much. I got used to resizing the picture without holding the pencil in one place longer than a second. That was just one example of how It looked buggy to me but then I realized it’s just an extra option that is part of this app. There were other options that I had to get used to like this one. You can turn off most of these options if they get in the way. This app is still by far the best note taking app In all android, iOS, and Microsoft apps. My favorite app before this one was squid for android and I was regretting buying iOS before I found this app. Thank you!

I'm a retired computer tech. One of my hobbies is what I call "software gold mining" which is to often search for good programs for my iPhone, iPad and MacBook. I'm extremely critical and maybe one in 20-30 programs I look at will be worth a darn. So many will lack necessary features or perform poorly. To get to the point Zoom Notes is "Gold". It is an extraordinary program that has so many useful features even I haven't discovered them all yet. It does require a little patience to learn. It sounds excessive, but I just hope the Developers continue to update and keep the program going into the future.

This app is feature filled such that any advanced user will have what is likely the most complete note-taking app on the App Store. Even so, it still provides an easily learnable interface for the basic features that every user needs.
Pedeclaudo's Review of ZoomnotesReviewed on 11/18/18 7:37 PM
I’ve bought and tried out every single popular note-taking app on the market to date, and nothing else even comes close to ZoomNotes. I’m absolutely baffled why prosaic apps like GoodNotes and Notability get all the good press. I suppose most people would rather be crippled by simplicity than potentially overwhelmed by options. People like that are probably happier with separate simple apps for note taking, diagraming, PDF annotation, etc. For those of use who’d rather be able to everything we need in a single app, ZoomNotes is everything we could ask for and then some. As a note-taking app, ZoomNotes provides unrivaled flexibility. For starters, it recognizes more styluses than any three other note-taking apps put together. Prior to upgrading to an Apple Pencil, I used an Adonit Pixel with the app, and it integrated as well as possible. In fact, ZoomNotes provided more options for the Pixel’s two shortcut buttons than any other similar app. Even now that I have an Apple Pencil with no shortcut buttons, between ZoomNotes’ two- or three-finger double taps to undo and redo, and the option of using a single finger to erase or perform other tasks, I don’t even miss the buttons. When it comes to customizing your tools and your workspace, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. For instance, you can set up pens to maintain a relative line thickness that adapts to however far you zoom in or out, or you can draw lines that taper or have arrows at the beginning, middle, and/or end. You get layers too—actual, Photoshop style layers! That means you can import an image on one layer, lock the layer, and then take notes on a second layer so you can erase your ink without touching the image. I just used this to repeatedly label about 200 muscles in preparation for a major anatomy exam, and it’s undoubtedly the tool that helped me act that test the most. Even if you don’t need all of that fancy stuff, ZoomNotes outperforms every other note-taking app I’ve used. Personally, I can’t stand writing with ink that doesn’t taper naturally, and there’s a fine line between no smoothing at all and overdoing it. This app gets it right across the board. When I think about it, out of all the handwriting apps I’ve used, only Notes Plus comes close to the writing experience ZoomNotes offers. ZoomNotes covers all of the basics: you get a nice selection of stationary (rules, squares, graphing squares, etc), an easy-to-navigate workspace, and a magnification view for those of us with larger handwriting. One thing I love about ZoomNotes is that the basic sheet templates are all vector based, allowing you to create your own custom templates, right inside the app. Just choose the layout type, set the line height or other dimensions/divisions, and pick the color and weight of that lines. What’s more, you can easily adjust the line height settings in the magnification mode, ensuring that the line you write on will remain at a consistent height when the window wraps to a new line. And one feature I absolutely love is that you can set the width of the text wrap in the magnification view to the visible width of the main view, which makes ti super easy to write in constrained boxes when diagraming. Speaking of diagraming…. I’ve been a professional marketing copywriter and designer for about a decade, and now I’m also back in school for dietetics. Suffice it to say that I take tons of handwritten notes, often resulting in sprawling diagrams that let me keep all of my non-linear thoughts in order. ZoomNotes accommodates my workflow in many ways, not the least of which is its whiteboard mode, which provides an infinitely expandable work area. That’s perfect for creating boundless diagrams. Another one of ZoomNotes’ unique features takes this one step farther: sub-pages. Sub-pages are full pages that live as thumbnails on a parent page. They allow me to organizes a large set of information (e.g., a set of labeled diagrams covering the muscles of the arm), and then graphically connect it to additional sub-pages the way I would small boxes in a conventional diagram. It’s an organization freak’s dream come true! There’s so much to this app I could rave about, but these are some of the biggest ones for me. Just to quickly address the main complaint people have had about the the user interface. When you first open the app, ZoomNotes’ tools and layout may appear a bit clunky to you. I know I was put off by it. Fortunately, there’s an entire section of the settings devoted to customizing the layout. In my case, simply shrinking down the icon size and changing the color scheme from blue and white to black and white made all the difference. Also, I should note that I’m a leftie, and I particularly appreciate the ways ZoomNotes accommodates us. It’s like they thought of everything. No app is perfect, and even I have a wishlist for ZoomNotes. Here it is: 1. I’d like to be able to set only vertical (and maybe also only horizontal) whiteboard mode, so I wouldn’t have to break longer class notes into separate pages. 2. I’d like to be able to set indent increments in the magnification window. I tend to take hierarchical notes, and being able to set indent depth would be a real plus. 3. About the only thing missing from this app is handwriting recognition. I know it’s low on the agenda, and there’s an amazing app called Nebo for that, but it would be great to have it all in one place. Considering those are my only issues with the app, I can safely say this app has transformed my iPad into the best study and productivity tool a guy could ask for. If you’re on the fence about which note-taking app to get, spare yourself a lot of time and wasted money and buyer’s remorse, and just get ZoomNotes.

I use ZoomNotes on an iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil and its my go to app when I need visual notes and freedom to move words and sketches around the page. I use other apps for pure sketches, mindmaps, and virtual cork boards, but ZoomNotes has proven itself the most flexible when lots of words and ideas are in play, especially in the early stages of notes and brainstorming. Adding pages and sub-pages is really useful for organization. The only negative, sometimes existing features break or glitch after updating the app. This has me testing updates on the ZoomNotes Lite (a separate app) before updating ZoomNotes. The developer has been quick to respond to issues when they do occur. I still give 5 stars despite those hiccups.

I've been using Zoom notes for over 3 years now and I've tried just about every full featured note app in the store. Zoom-notes is by far the better app in this category. Unlike many of the note apps, you can have a different style page or paper for every page in your note books. For me, this was essential for taking notes in a lab environment where data comes in all shapes and styles. Making data gathering templates and saving them as "Paper" is a huge time saver and ensures your note always have a consistent look. Importing PDF, google docs and photos into one neat and organized note book is where the power of this app shines. Import multiple photos at one time, no more hitting import, select photo, paste and repeat. You can even import photos from the camera right on your current page within the app. Being able to edit pen styles, text styles and line and shape styles is a real time saver, especially since you can save these options in groups for later recall. Did you delete something by accident? No problem, files are deleted into a recycle bin first. While hand writing a note, if you make a mistake, just scribble it out and it goes away, no need to hit undo or select and delete, but you can if that's what you're comfortable with. Update: Since the Apple Pencil came out, writing notes is now a real blessing. You can place your entire wrist on the screen and there are no errant marks to be found. No real need to use the Zoom writing tool, just zoom the page up a bit and start writing. Update 12-02-16 The new documents tab has just doubled my productivity by letting me keep the most relevant documents open all at the same time and they can all be from different folders. This is one of the best features yet, high 5 to who ever suggested this feature be added. ZN is still by far the most versatile notes app available and the only one I use on a daily basis for work and home. Update 6/27/17 After finding a couple of minor bugs I contacted tech support and we worked through the bugs in real time via email and found work arounds that got me going until they could fix the problems in a new update. Their tech support team are top-notch!

The app has everything I want, including the tricks I do not know. Great app.

Not sure why it took so long for me to find, but man am I impressed. Infinite zoom and canvas with pencil input that feels natural. If you want something for notes or sketching a diagram I would highly recommend.

ZoomNotes is the best I have seen. I wish I could sync with my phone like Apple Notes.

I have had this app for almost 18 months, and I laid burried untill I revisited it. Due to my need of better writing engine, I ve been using good notes. This is better than goodnotes in every aspect, only thing that keeps me from using it more often is missing table of contents and Bookmarks feature like that of Good Notes. Please bring us this feature, this will enable me to read bigger text books. Thanks

Yes this had lots of useful features, but it's extremely buggy and not refined. Interface seems childish and clunky. At the very least please fix the bugs.

Been using ZoomNotes for years. Recently replaced my old iPad 2 with an iPad Pro 12.9” and got an Apple Pencil. At that time, I considered switching to a different note app, but none were as compelling as ZoomNotes. The writing experience is fantastic. I can write just as well as on actual paper, resting my hand on the screen. And the couple times that I had a support question, they were very responsive.

Some of us pay for data. ZoomNotes has pushed out 11 updates in the last two months alone. Bug fixing is important but fixing one at a time? Either the beta test group is too small or the developers don't know how to work a beta program (there should be far more beta releases than released versions).

This app has so much going for it! It has so many more options than any other .pdf app or planner app. It’s still a little bit clunky at times, but it’s improving all the time! Keep up the great work, Guys!

This is the second review I’ve ever written for an app (and I’ve downloaded my fair share over the years), but I had to write this review. ZoomNotes is feature rich and worth the small amount of effort it takes to explore and learn how everything works. I’ve downloaded nearly every major note taking app in the AppStore and think this one is the best! This app does more than mimic writing on paper. It actually allows you to use all of the benefits of a tablet (zooming, scaling, rearranging notes and imported objects, shape recognition, sub-notes, image and video import, etc.) to create a truly unique writing/researching experience. Being able to import an entire PDF as a sub-note is amazing! This app is a joy to use, highly customizable, and allows me to research and take notes in a way that matches the way I think. If I had it in grad school, I’m pretty sure my thesis would have taken half as long! Big thanks to the developer(s)!!! Keep up the great work!!! Maybe you could add handwriting to text conversion? It’s certainly not critical, but it would be a killer feature that would make a truly amazing app that much more so.

This app does everything I need it to and more... Besides handwriting recognition and handwriting to text conversion. Looking forward to an update with these options
JAAL2013's Review of ZoomnotesReviewed on 11/18/18 7:37 PM
This is a complete handwriting app, it does as described. As the name says, it has a lot of zoom. It works perfect with the Apple Pencil, very responsive and smooth hand writing and cero crashes. It gets updates often to correct bugs, which I have not noticed. Has lots of note books to choose, different papers and sizes to choose, it can record, etc. To me this is an excellent app, with sooo many features that are very handy. It also has different rulers for drawing objects. I highly recommend this app. If you like to take handwriting notes, this app is a must to have

ZoomNotes is great. Freedom to create, record, organize, and document all sorts of disparate ideas. Features like the tags, Dropbox, and sync'ing btw iPhone and iPad. Layers! Audio! Layers! Slideshows! Layers! Evernote! I likey! An oasis in a desert of inadequate note-taking apps. Just waiting for the desktop version to round-out all its delicious goodness.

Sept 2018 update: had to downgrade a star because of a clound sync bug they are not fixing. Everytime I switch to or open the app, each open document throws an error while trying to sync/backup online. —— I’ve purchased or downloaded virtually all the note taking apps for the iPad Pro with Apple Pencil use. From OneNote, to Penultimate, Noteshelf 2, Notes Plus, etc., I have 18 different apps on my iPad in my search to find one that has everything that I need. In short, Zoom Notes wins hands down. The must-haves for me: — the “paper” must not move when writing and drawing, both when flat on a surface, and when the iPad is in a stand — the writing must be smooth, no lag, no skips, and no errors — there must be a good set of tools configuring color, etc. You’d be surprised how many simply cannot keep the paper still when a palm is resting on the screen, or if one finger inadvertently touches the surface. And getting low lag and responsiveness can be a challenge. (For comparison, Notes Plus and Noteshelf 2 are close, but not perfect.) To summarize, this app has everything. I mean *everything*. I have never seen so many useful features or configurability. Simply amazing. And the most important two: drawing responsiveness is the best of all, it has VERY low lag; and you must use two fingers (though you can switch to one finger if you want) to move the page, in effect keeping the paper still while drawing and taking notes. It’s been a long while since I’ve loved an app so much. $8 is just an incredible bargain for this product. Well done to the author.
Audiophile31441's Review of ZoomnotesReviewed on 11/18/18 7:37 PM
This app is the most comprehensive and easy to use notetaking app, out of all of them available for ios. Before trying, I read a review that suggested to buy the full version because it was worth it. After reading through the documentation, I realized that even if it was buggy I would want to show my support to these developers because of the direction it seemed to be going in. So, I didn't bother with the free version, and have since had the pro version - sooo worth it. Notability has it beat in raw power, but this has many many more options for doing anything you want - can even insert video into your notes, and create animations. Infinite whiteboard is incredible - zooming is fast, and can quickly create detailed layered biochem pathways and link to relevant medications from a different page. Best app for this type of studying/notetaking. The app also feels very lightweight (does not eat up memory or lag). There are some bugs still, especially with the desktop companion version, but everything is compatable. 5 solid stars for a great product at a totally fair price.

En mi opinion la mejor app para notas he probado gran variedad de apps como esta, pero sin duda la mejor es zoomnotes. 100% recomendada. Ademas los desarrolladoras trabajando en la mejora de la app continuamente. Gracias.

Lots of options and features! Love that I can use handwriting or any installed font! Still haven’t figured out 1/2 of the features, but it already does everything I need - the rest will just be bonus when I get to them!
Wheels61's Review of ZoomnotesReviewed on 11/18/18 7:37 PM
ZoomNotes has a lot of features and executes a number of those features adequately but some features need to be much better or great to make a mark and dethrone other apps. BAD: Then there is the bug that when you change the settings to put the Main Tool Bar on the Bottom of the Screen the Palm Rejection now pulls down from the Top of the Screen, thus making Palm rejection unusable. The Tools, Menus the organization / layout and design has to be much better, it is confusing where to find tools. GOOD: Lots of Import/Export Cloud options, including: WebDAV. - Digital Notebook/Planner - GOOD: Layers, Infinite Zoom, Lots Pens, Lots of Color options; BAD: PDFs with hyperlinks, the hyperlinks disappear / not imported to ZoomNotes. - Sketchnoting - GOOD: Lots of Pen, Pencil and Brushes choices, Shapes, and really good Shape Tools/Guides. - Presentation/Whiteboard - GOOD: Can embed videos like Prezi or Explain Everything; Bad: Needs an easier way to playback presentations or a separate viewer. Overall I love the app; fix the bug palm rejection it is 4 Star app; organize the menus it is 5 Star app.

07-23-17, I like this app so much that I'm renewing my review so it shows up in the new version. My satisfaction with this app is still strong, and I'm finding more and more ways to use it. I have the Mac desktop version as well and it is great! Many thanks to the developers, you guys are awesome. It took me a while to learn it, and I'm still going back to the manual pretty often, but after I figured out what this powerhouse app can do, there was no turning back. To me, it's totally worth the candle in every way. Check it out — and thank you to the developers.

The app just updated (May 10 version) is now working with a reboot as the update was not pushed to my iPad but worked fine on iPhone. Will go back to 5 stars when I check to make sure iCloud sync is working.
