rjf13's Review of Tex Equation
Reviewed on 12/25/18 1:37 PMVery useful for imputing mathematical equations into Pages. The expanded keyboard has all the extra keys I need. I hope they develop a full TeX/LaTeX app.

Reviewed on 12/25/18 1:37 PMI had to learn LaTex when I did my thesis for Masters in Mathematics degree. Now I am working on a calculator workbook, and is app is excellent for typing and copying equations into my document. I am very pleased with this app - this is money well spent!
SpockofPi's Review of Tex Equation
Reviewed on 12/25/18 1:37 PMThis app is the crucial linch pin for all scientists and engineers who use Keynote to give technical presentations, and need LaTeX to typeset nice looking equations to insert as a PDF into Keynote ... It works like a charm (and the only ! one in the app store to supply PDF output to copy/paste into Keynote, meaning infinitely scalable vector font graphics in Keynote) ... and was only lacking 64 bit support, so would have foundered in iOS 11. Enter the fantastic support: I wrote the team a couple of days ago - and voila, an update for 64 bit on the app store already out!!!! Outstanding!!! Wish every app and support team would work like that!

Reviewed on 12/25/18 1:37 PMThis app works well. There are options for setting DPI and it can export to the photo album, which is useful for importing into Keynote. It is also possible to customize foreground and background colors, which I need because I like to have white-on-black slides. However, the biggest problem is that it is only a TeX engine, so no LaTeX commands (let alone amsmath) can be used. My guess is that most people use LaTeX, not TeX, and are used to things like \text, \mathrm and \mathit, which are not available here.
Michael Goerz's Review of Tex Equation
Reviewed on 12/25/18 1:37 PMWorks as advertised. I managed to get sans-serif font (matching the default beamer), and also switch the font size by adding "\sansmath \fontsize{10pt}{10pt}\selectfont" to the figure code
3000tommy's Review of Tex Equation
Reviewed on 12/25/18 1:37 PMThis is so far the best app to input mathematical equations. As a grad student in computer science, typesetting TeX equations is essential for me. This app has the ability to *compile* TeX sourcecode *without an Internet connection*. Now I can make perfect presentation slides solely within an iPad with the help of this app.
Dr. Solace's Review of Tex Equation
Reviewed on 12/25/18 1:37 PMI love the fact that the code compiles internally. The program may be unstable at times, but it's no biggie. Also, if you're not too familiar with Latex, you should read some books on it, but don't complain if the app doesn't come with a full manual for using latex. Latex is a very rich typesetting language that requires patience to learn.

Reviewed on 12/25/18 1:37 PMFor those who gave negative reviews...read the product description before buying. The product description clearly states a knowledge of TeX typesetting language is required - and the typesetting language is the operative phrase here. And for those who gave negative reviews because of the lack of documentation...well...sigh! Maybe you should check first, and only then you'll find out there are at least few dozen books on the subject of TeX typesetting language...so order one!

Reviewed on 12/25/18 1:37 PMJust what I've been looking for to complement Pages! For those looking for the reference page shown in the photos, it's the little manual icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen when editing an equation. It gives a nice primer on some basic TeX math commands.
Gusamarante's Review of Tex Equation
Reviewed on 12/25/18 1:37 PMAmazing application. It compiles TeX equations very well. Great for exporting to keynote or pages. The only problem is that the copied equation has a low resolution, so the equations on the slides look a little blured, but not enough to compromise the result. Great app! Good work!
