I liked this app A lot but now I have nomore browser access with it. Will it be readded or will I be forced to purchase the new version though I relied on this one and now it's lacking a core feature without a subsequent foremention

I can find no way to use this with DropBox. Useless.

I have been using this app for a long time, and its by far more useful than ifiles 2 (I bought it but didn’t like it, so I returned to ifile) the only option this app needs is the choice of deleting files after import. I really hope the developer added it.

Honestly it's the best file manager for iOS, everything's fine. Problem: u really need to update and consider iOS 9 compatibility (slide-over and...) problem; when you tap "speak" in pdf viewer, the word(s) are pronounced at high speed with an awkward voice; why don't you just use apple "speak"???!!!

201607 Update: Just got the new iFiles2 and migrating over. Love the new version. 20151217 Update: Still the best, but I am hopefully waiting for V2. I use this in my classroom because it is the most intuitive for young students. 20150113 update: I have been using this app since my first iPad2. I have tried the others and I always come back. As a teacher I use scanning and Gdrive to appsmash for flipped teaching. I use iFiles for the markup, correction and to easily upload the resulting images to students folders at clique friendly resolutions and sizes for LTE. All in one app! If you are a teacher using cloud storage for flipped teaching you know you need this! 2014: I can access all my cloud services, sometimes even better than the native app (yeah, I'm looking at you google drive), and FTP and CloudDav. It provides a repository for files I need to move between different apps. It allows me to download video files for later viewing, and to import video files I stream from wifi storage. It is a better PDF editor than goodreader and the interface is much much more intuitive and elegant. I have tried Readdle docs and goodreader and a few others up I keep coming back to iFiles.

Seeing other reviews - yeah I haven't bought v2 yet either because this does everything I need every day. To get it installed on older iOS, just buy it in iTunes on PC/Mac first and then it will offer to download the "latest compatible version" to your device. (this trick works for many apps btw) A great text editor and file manager for older hardware! My original review: I got iFiles in Jan 2010 and have used it daily ever since on many different iDevices. It is being constantly updated and Tom is very quick to respond to any inquiries. And you can still get the iOS5 version in the App Store, which works great if you still have some old equipment to support. I look at many different filing apps as they come out and always come back to this one for ease if use and doing what I need. Storing & sorting files, moving files about between sites and apps, web browsing, viewing images, and easy text editing are what I constantly rely on it to do.

This app was worthwhile while it lasted. It is frustrating to be expected to pay full price for an update. I understand the work that goes into a major update and do not expect it to be free, but some recognition of those of us who have purchased in the past would sure be nice. Maybe $1 off or something, as other serious apps have done upon a major upgrade.

The developers seem to be completely unresponsive/uncaring. No responses to several emails about pretty large security issues and functionality problems for over a year. Has some decently nice features if the developers were actually responsive and were fixing things but they don’t seem to be. There's a bug that it doesn't show files that have more than one dot (period) in the name at all. I've lost files because I deleted a directory that looked empty when it wasn't really, it just looked like it because ifiles is buggy and didn't show me the contents! I just discovered today that iFiles is wasting over 2.5GB on my phone, but I have almost nothing stored locally, it’s all on cloud providers. There doesn’t seem to be any “clear cache” or other setting, and my transfers list is empty. Seems the only way to fix this is to delete the app and reinstall from scratch, but then it will lose all my accounts and settings which will be a major pain to setup again. Here’s the previously reported problems that are still issues: Bad security problem since are forced to allow too simplistic "Allow Untrusted Certificate" rather than letting you see the details of a site using a self-signed certificate and being able to verify it is the correct fingerprint/key and enabling it to be saved for that specific site. Very insecure, and very bad design! No ability to search for files by name or for text within documents. No support for copy.com Needs an easy way to retry ALL failed transfers instead of having to manually do one at a time. Transfers don't seem to continue while sleeping/background. The wifi server support is poorly done, should be easy to toggle on and off rather than hidden and defaulting always to the same thing when you open the app. App doesn't remember where you were if you leave and return, which makes you have to go traverse the whole directory structure EVERY time, this needs fixing ASAP! No ability to sync files/photos to servers. This is a MAJOR feature deficiency, as it is very hard not to miss photos or changes since you have to do it manually (and then verify they all actually transferred successfully). Also, since photos/videos are saved on the server with the timestamp you uploaded them instead of when they were taken, that makes trying to "sync" all your photos even harder.

Why you sent me to download the other version from this app I was already buy for it and now you want me buy again what's this !!! Can I know where's my money for this app if you can't support me for this app services !!

Hi It have problem with ios 9.2.1 When click on home to go to root directory of ifiles It hang up and dont do anything

Exactly what I need for file management, sending files to other users and downloading certain files from websites. I used many others apps like this but this one is the BEST!

Please fix annoying feature when viewing .doc files. When you tap, menu (up and down black planks) shows itself and when you scroll down it may accidently hide and show itself. Very annoying bug. PS Enlish isn't my native.

There is no news from the developers? I really love this app; it's the only file manager I trust and work with. The only reason I ommited one star is for its lack of update.

It's great app. But lately we seem to have challenges, it freezes or eventually crashes when you go to home on iPad. Please update

Very old UI and ugly icons. Please work on the interface and make it like IOS at least, it's ugly and too old

I have used this product since it first came out. It has improved continuously. Even when cloud storage providers alter their APIs and methods, this developer has been able to keep up and to add support for new services. 2015-12-22 . This app is still the best. I would love to see an update to their audio player that included the ability to bookmark locations within a file and for the application to remember the location in the audio file that was last being played.

I am pretty satisfied with all the software of this company, apart from this software! As it should not be applicable to me, and the software in many parts had a poor performance. Poor performance in video playback and hard play controls Provide a better update if possible Thankful

iOS11 Communication Error with DropBox ... please update!

I am so happpppy with this app that I will get iFiles 2 just to support the developer and maybe get a pleasant surprise.

I already hate apps with no trial, but I bought this based on a write up I found. It turns out to be useless for managing the data you n my iPad. I wanted to backup files to an external memory device, but this app doesn't even show the files on my iPad.

How can I recover my password whiteout lose my data ?

Hello, this app is amazing but it's missing an extremely useful feature that if you add it I will love it! The feature is exploring apple airport extremely hard drive(local wifi connection) Remote Files app has that feature but the UI is not very good. this will make the app just better than it is! This is the worst thing I own

As soon as I paid for and opened this app, I saw a popup telling me to upgrade to the current version for another $4.99. I would not have wasted money on this outdated version if I knew this 5 minutes ago. DO NOT BUY THIS OUTDATED VERSION! Obviously I will be contacting Apple about this as I want a refund and these people should be banned from selling apps.

This app pointlessly requires iOS 7 even though it doesn't require any iOS 7 specific features. Not everyone wants to downgrade from iOS 6 to iOS 7/8/9/10............lazy devs...

I have used this app for a few months, now. I like it a lot, it outperforms apps that I have paid for. I would have given five stars except it has changed for the worse after an update. It use to open rtf files that I use for music, now it won't open them. I will have to reformat each of the files I wish to use to another type of file. More work to use a work saving app..... I hope they fix the iOS 9 hang up Ended up having to stop using it. Too bad.

This app is great! I’ve used it for several years now, and refer to files- text & audio,- daily. I’ve tried several other apps in this genre, but always come back to this one. Easy to use, orderly, and crosses devices from iCloud with no problem. I really appreciate it, and am delighted that it’s still available. Hope that doesn’t change!
