Popsicolor App Reviews

I've used (and loved) a lot of photo apps, so I'm not sure why I'm getting such terrible results from this app. There seems to be no way to adjust how the filter interprets your photo. So I spend lots of time in other apps, trying to change contrast and white balance so this app can give me a recognizable result. Instead, I keep getting results that are too light, too dark, or just look like random parts of the photo were erased. Disappointing.

A lot of fun, lots of options! Generates really cool artwork, worthy of printing and hanging up on the wall!

Tinrocket makes amazing apps and I have all of them. Please consider updating Popsicolor and Percolator to 64 bit so they work with iOS much better.

I didn't get this app. It appeared on my phone. I did open it and it's stupid. No directions. Don't touch this or your Starbucks gift card may disappear too. Mine did.

I like to play with all the different features of the app and even with the examples. I design graphics and this is a fun one to use or use with another app

This was one of the first apps I downloaded when I received my iPad a few years ago and I must say that it was a great choice. It does what it's suppose to do and no complicated controls. Renders beautiful effects. I'm shocked there are no reviews for this terrific application.

It's been a little minute. At the very least the low resolution issues need some cleaning up.

I adore the popsicle colors and love making drippy, watercolorish images. works best on simple pictures. it can really enhance collage work when you include some of the watercolor dripping pictures. and so many options! solid color or bicolor, ability to add black ink to better define your picture, these are just a few of the options!

Popsicolor can take a little getting used to but it creates some fun effects. It's a keeper in my photo folder.

This was a great idea for an app and tastefully designed. I love the cute little names they use and the options and colors are wonderful. I've played with it all afternoon today and love trying different pictures. It's better to use less detailed pictures with recognizable shapes. I love this app and intend to use it a lot in the future! :)

Popsicolor is totally original. I haven't seen anything else even close to this in the App Store. It helps if your image has a lot of contrast. After you use it for a while, you start to anticipate which images that will probably look good. I highly recommend this app. It's very addictive and a lot of fun!

Allows for gradient overlays with an impressive range of controls, e.g., dual color options, linear, radial, etc. DEVELOPER: Would prefer a different layout of the tools, as they show up above and below the image working area, and the accordion layout, while cute, wastes a good deal of precious screen real estate. Something more like the tool layout in Percolator would be a big improvement.

It's easy to use, but quite entertaining and creates dreamy pictures. Love it.

I’m a recovering crime scene photographer (retired) and being able to tweak photos is a treat. Thanks for a great tool which is user friendly.

A unique coloring tool for blending various shades and then some. Cheers to the developer for updating and keeping the app evolving. It would be nice if there was a way to blend in the raw photograph to the processed photograph if that may be possible, sometimes my pictures seem unrecognizable but with the new ink-tensify feature the outline of shapes seems more apparent. Thanks

Love this app as well as the percolator app! Nothing I would change about it, other than picking up darker skin tones, and allowing the photo's actual color be watercolor-ified

Love the app except that there is no way to clear the image and start over without shutting it down and reopening. Also needs an undo feature.

YAY!! Thank you devs. This is an older but still enjoyable photo editing app, with an easy to use interface. Get this and their other apps from these talented developers, definitely worth it.

I am usually not inclined to download an app that transforms your photo into some other look alike medium. But I really like percolator by the same developer. This app first, does a great job and second a great tool to add affects from other apps or layer it to get even more interesting effects. Adding light leaker affects is a perfect example and not achievable in actual watercolor. If you like playing with multiple apps this would be a great addition.

The pictures and reviews built this app up and I had high hopes, but I gotta say I'm a little bummed. The effects have no option to adjust strength or transparency and they simply drown out about 75% of the pics I try to edit. The pic has to be just right in brightness and contrast, or the subject gets drowned out and there's nothing you can really do about it. A simple option to adjust the effect strength would make a huge difference.

But it's made with class just the same! This one is not particularly my style (their other app, Percolator is the bomb!) still though, this one is made just as well as the other. If there were such a thing as app social class, these would be in the top. They belong up there with Apple, Reece Witherspoon, Daft Punk and the Beatles. (Or whatever your version of class/royalty may be)

… Easy to use, great visual results. In my eyes, only two things keep it from being completely perfect: the results of using the "adding ink" feature are dark artifacts that break the border of the underlying watercolor piece. Sometimes it's a good thing, but the only way to make it good every time is to make it controllable. The other problem is that when I click the "write a review" button within the app it takes me to a blank screen within the App Store, which makes me have to take an extra step in order to come back and write the glowing review this app deserves!

Don't buy this. All the photos to sell this app look cool. When I try my own or stock photos from the web, they are anything but cool. Maybe if I stop back 20 feet I'd get the effect, but close up its nothing but washed blurred preset colors. No was to adjust the intensity of the effect, or dial your own color, which might help the quality, I'm left with a uselss app. Not worth 99¢ let alone 2.99

Just love this app a lot and with ew colors added it just makes it even better. Keep up the good ideas using gorgeous colors

Learned about Popsicolor in Watercolor Artist magazine. Have been struggling with lack of inspiration for a while, and this app gave me some great new ideas. It also helped nudge me out of my comfort zone: from very realistic painting to something more whimsical and abstract.

I love this app. It hasn't been updated in years and I have been delaying updating iOS because it wouldn't work any more. And there's an update!!!!! So so happy. 😍😁

This app is so beautiful, and it makes amazing images. It's easy to use, and the developer, very clearly, cares about the app and the users! I use it all the time on Instagram (username is Cannibal, if you want to see some samples...) and people always clamor to find out how I did it!
