The app won’t let you see any of the basic functions that are supposedly free, not premium, without purchasing the premium. I chose a layout from the free portion purposely and after choosing the photos to go in that layout, an advert popped up on purchasing the premium. There was no way to rid of the advert without paying.

It isn’t free. Nice hostage holding, that’s a fantastic way to get people to want to use your app. Use Collageable, it’s better and free.

Had to remove my credit card info after I could never get the app to work nor figure out how to unsubscribe to scam trial

I used this before they started the subscription bs. It was great, the main reason I liked it better than others was because you could change the ratio of the photo to whatever you wanted. Then they put in the watermark so they could squeeze money out of people. And ever since, the app has gotten worse and worse, constantly trying to nickel and dime you for everything. Pass.

The fact that i have to pay to use the most simple features in this app is absurd. no reason why i have to be a “premium member” to make a two-picture collage. will absolutely never download again.

Faulty update! Doesn’t work anymore! I’ve had this app for quite some time and used it all the time, no problem. Got a new iPhone and re-downloaded the app. Opened it and saw that it looks different so I assumed it was an update that I didn’t do previously. I clicked the regular free frames I always used and selected the photos and then when I go to “next” a screen pops up to tell me about the premium version. I clicked restore. I shut the app down and reopened it. It doesn’t matter. I can’t get out of that screen and use the app anymore.

I liked this app before but I’ve tried to use it several times and it doesn’t even open. It’s just a muted picture of the logo in the back ground. I updated the app, made no difference.

Sorry to say I don’t eat breathe and sleep making picture collages, I would though like to enjoy a simple to understand ratio slide bar settings. Not to be OCD, it’s frustrating to have to keep sliding the ratio bar back-and-forth to find the proper setting for full screen images on my iPad. Would it be too much to ask for a ratio chart ??

I got this app because of the high star ratings to turn out every time I try to use it it forces me to upgrade. I don’t want to use the trial premium, I don’t want the premium, not good at all!

Not able to use the app as a free app, when creating a college an update screen pops up trying to force me to pay 4.99 a week. There is no way out of that screen without signing up.

"Free to download" but the moment you try to do anything it puts up a giant paywall and you cant do anything except get a "free" week trial. After that it is $4.99 a week which is an absolute joke! This app is obviously hoping that some young kids would "try" the free trial and just forget that its linked to their parents card, and $5 a week can slip by un noticed. Do not even bother with this app, and this sort of behavior should be reported!

This app used to be free and easy. I don’t want your upgrades at a charge and I think it’s B.S. I have to subscribe to unwanted upgrades after already having this app for years! All I wanted to do was make a simple collage for my sons tenth birthday. This app made it frustrating and impossible for a mother on limited income to create something special for a much deserving young man on his birthday. Thanks for the disappointment and frustration. I think it’s despicable to expect some one to subscribe to an auto pay feature that wasn’t there before on a “FREE” app. It’s disheartening to know how much greed there is I the world while just trying to spread some love during hard times.

i downloaded this app some time ago, maybe 2 months (earliest email i can find is 8/1/18) and pretty much never used it except for the one time i needed it. i just realized now that i lost a ton of money from the automatic subscription of 4.99 and i never even knew there was a subscription? ive been charged 8 times now. its partly my fault for not knowing until now but its very upsetting especially because i never even used the app and just left it on my phone. if theres some way to help please do.

You have to pay to subscribe in order to make a collage. It only allows you to select the pics then it offers you a free week trial but you can’t continue unless you click on the trial.

Why on earth should I have to pay to get the watermark off, when I can do it on my computer for free without getting a s***** watermark. This is just inefficient. This app could make money like most apps and just put ads on it, but the only ads you get here are asking you to pay to get a watermark off that shouldn’t be there in the first place.

I downloaded this app, because I wanted to create a collage for my Instagram page, using photos I took. I downloaded this app because it looked great! As soon as it downloaded and I selected my photos, something popped up and said I could try it for 1 week free then it would be $4.99 I really want to use this app, but I don’t want to pay. I hate the apps on the App Store that say they are free, and then once you download it, it try’s to get you to pay.

Seems like it would be a fine app, but I’ve downloaded and redownloaded it and it won’t let me actually make anything because the “upgrade now!” Add pops up as soon as you go to edit it and there’s literally no way to opt out! Like why did you even bother to make this app if it’s just a ploy to get people to be forced to pay for an upgrade?? There’s so many free collage apps it really doesn’t make any sense

I honestly am just done with this app. I was so glad to find a app that allowed me to connect my photos in to one picture sadly the results were bad. I was unable to ever make a collage. Ever time I finished put together my picture and was about to hit save a ad would pop up asking you to get premium. There was no way to close this ad so you could never save your picture.

Total scam, needs to be reported to Apple. Used the app for 5 mins before instant uninstall. “step one add your pics here. Step two.. (big unclose-able ad covering the screen: would you like to purchase this app to unlock it?)”. App isn’t even useable unless you throw money at it. Just the developers showing they absolutely do not care about the users who make their app what it is popularity wise, only care about your money filling their wallets. “Its “free” if you $$Paid$$ for premium version.

I own a business & like to post pics and sales several times a month. I loved this and the app was my go too! Now, completely different outlook. I Do Not think paying $4.99 A WEEK is even reasonable let alone the options I had before this last update we’re great and enough to do what I need with a good wow factor! I hit restore on my Subscription and apparently that meant I’m being charged weekly now for something I already used and had! Totally a scam and it spells out “DESPERATE FOR MONEY” to me and major disappointment!

To the developer, what is wrong with you. Charging $4.99 per WEEK for an app that does the same thing as every other collage app in existence is insane. I can pay $30 a month an get Adobe Photoshop which can do everything your software can do and much much more. Please re-evaluate your price point.

I understand the free to premium model. The problem is that this app lets you set up a picture for free but there’s no way to continue WITHOUT subscribing. They can watermark the picture, that’s fine but to not allow some type of free use is terrible

I loved using this app when it first came out. But having to pay $5 a week is crazy! I did the trail to see what all I got extra and ended up canceling the subscription that same day. Not worth $5 a week. So with canceling it I got the expiration date. ON THE EXPIRATION DATE I STILL GOT CHARGED FOR THE APP! Really? I cancelled my free trial and you still charge me?

Pic-jointer seems very easy to use, simple and refined. A lot of different and unique photo collages, different styles of photo collages. Backgrounds and effects. 👍👍

This used to be a decent app. Now they suddenly want $4.99 per week? Per week?! Ridiculous.

Pretty much all “free” apps are actually free to a point. This one forces you to sign up for a subscription on your first use without actually seeing what you get. Pretty greedy tactic something I won’t hassle with.

1. Pick photos. 2. Pick layout. 3. Either sign up for a free trial that will turn into a paid subscription in a few days, OR close the app and delete it. Those are the two options. There's a button to "restore" a previous purchase, but that didn't actually do anything when I tapped it. So basically if you want to actually create a collage and adjust it and save it, too bad! No way to do that.

$5/ week. So $20 a month to do a masking layer that I could do with Adobe for way cheaper along with the entire CC suite. Have fun with that.

I’ve had this app for the longest, but haven’t used it in a while. When I recently used it, I could on stay on the app for about two seconds until an add for a free subscription pops up and doesn’t allow the me to exit the add and continue. The app is fine overall but could be better at that one problem.

I downloaded this app a couple weeks ago, after paying for it. Then after I deleted the app it has continued to charge me periodically. I have attempted to unsubscribe but there are no options in how to do so. I need my money re funded as soon as possible....

This app will not let me go back to my picture after it offers me a one week free trial. It says it supposed to be free with in app purchases, but I cannot use it without being scammed into 499.

I just downloaded the app and every time I try and make a collage it pops up with a “upgrade for a free trial then get charged x amount every week” and it doesn’t give me the option to exit out of the pop up. Downloaded the App as I liked the reviews, however am immediately tricked into a $5/WEEK upgrade screen from where I cannot go anywhere but upgrade (no back out button) so cannot even try out the most basic of touch snd feel operations. This is not ‘in-app purchasing’ but a $260/yr App to start with. I deleted the app again.

Please, don’t be an idiot like me and forget to cancel this app after the trial period. The app is structured to be as covert as possible while you are paying for it in the background. Don’t believe me... try it for yourself. Start your subscription, close the app and restart. Now when you reopen the app it won’t immediately takes you to a layout screen (you never see a developer, app title or notice that the app is a subscription.

NO!! What have you guys done??! I’ve used your app for YEARS!! Close to a decade I’d guess. I have roughly 10 collage apps (I’m in marketing but also use for personal use) and I hands down use your app the most! I have referred hundreds (yes) of friends over the years to download and use your app. I’ve taught classes and have promoted your app, etc. I feel like I recently updated your app and LOVED that version. I could still see all the frames on one page and flip through them to determine what would fit my needs. I had access to some Stylish frames which was cool. No water mark (SO ANNOYING & petty for those who make you PAY to remove it!! Really..?? You guys are stooping to that low level of others?? C’mon. You’re better than that.) Then suddenly you have a new update. I was happy with my last version and wasn’t needing to update but then my app went on the fritz force-closing (forcing me to update)..... and now I don’t even recognize it! I don’t want to see my 5000 pictures. I came to use a frame and want to pick out the FRAME first. Then I can fill it in. You’ve put our picture gallery as the main event and your frames secondary along the bottom. I can go look in my phones photo gallery to see all my pics like that. YOUR frames should be the star. That’s why people will go to your app. Next, I used to be able to edit all in one place. Alter the dimensions, margin lines, ratio... but NOW I have to go all over the place, adjust the inner & outer margins manually and hope they’re the same width leaving room for human error. NO longer good for professional use. And last - frames I previously had access to I NO LONGER do unless I PAY??! I’m not talking about all frames since there are many you could still buy, but basic classic & stylish frames - now the basic “stylish” ones that were free - aren’t anymore with this update. You guys in the business of Indian-giving?? So I have to pay to get back the frames I used all the time. Pay to remove the s***** unprofessional watermark. And stumble around taking me 2-3x the time to get a collage created to use as a BASE for a marketing advertisement or post... if you want money - then charge for your app! But don’t take a free app and completely destroy it then pass it off as free. “You can only have the nicer version if you pay..” the free version - if good - is what brings people in wanting more and willing to pay for it. This sad version with a poor user experience wont have many people dying to pay to upgrade. And just like that.... the hundreds of friends each year and hundreds if not thousands that I teach and promote or instruct to download your app to use for their marketing use - I no longer can or will. I don’t use Pic Jointer a lot, when I do I’m always pleased with the results. I mostly use it to save space, when only 1, or a limited number of pictures will fit, I can add multiple pix. I’m using the basic version and it does everything I need. So, thank you to the developers for an excellent application, that does what it promises to do! 5/5 stars

I got the app to make my collage. The app seemed like any other normal app. There was the free collages and then the collages you had to buy, so I clicked on the free one. I picked my collage and put my pictures in and then when I was ready to create it I couldn’t! I had to buy stuff just to even make the collage. There was the three or four day free and then you have to pay. I couldn’t even make my collage this is a scam!

I’ve just downloaded and it won’t let me get past the add on page where you have to purchase new features. I’ve tried pressing the “restore “ button- but, nothing. There’s no way to leave the page unless you purchase something!!! WT-HECK?!?!?!

When you download the app, it looks like it’s Free because it doesn’t have a price, but the second you open it and try to do anything with it, it locks you out and the only option is to close and delete the app or pay $4.99 a WEEK for the app! You can’t even use this app one time without updating to the “Premium” version. If you can’t USE the free version, then there aren’t really two versions. I don’t want to go through the process of providing payment info, then canceling. I’d rather have a simple limited trial that ends, and requires payment if I want to keep using it. This is a terrible user experience. So terrible that while I rarely leave reviews, I felt this one needed a review. The app is free to download, but it is not free to use. As soon as you try to use it, it wants to subscribe you to a ridiculous subscription of 4.99$/week. I would never use this app enough to justify a 260$/year price tag. They want to give you a mere 3 free days, and then you have to remember to cancel. There’s no free content at all. Or if there is, you have no way of finding it as you are only presented with a subscription. I think I’ll keep to the free picture collage apps out there. They do the same thing (that I would use, anyway) but without taking a really high fee.

I needed this app to make some simple collages to make Instagram posts for my works social media. It made me pay $4.99/1 week free upgrade just so I could use it. It wouldn’t even let me bypass the advertisement. I had to agree to upgrade or I couldn’t use the app. The provided video makes it look so much better than it actually is. The font size doesn’t change much making it hard to read over most photos even if you change the color. If you’re looking for a simple collage app and you don’t mind paying extra this is the app for you! Not for me.

Literally can’t do anything in the app without it taking you to a screen that you cannot navigate away from unless you upgrade (aka pay them a MONTHLY FEE).

It's a little frustrating that every time you try to do a step the bottom screen pops up and they want you to buy a upgrade that is a regular monthly payment. Not only is it disruptive when you're trying to compete the project. From the beginning you have already seen the upgrade page if it only came up once more that would be one thing but the way it is now it's ridiculous. Sorry but it needed to be said.

Tried a simple join of 2 pictures. The app takes you to a page wanting you to pay (after a free trial). Unfortunately there’s no way out of this without paying... you can try hitting “restore” which I thought might take me back to my pictures but it just hangs or quits and put you back on the sign-up page. It’s not really a free app.

I just downloaded this and cannot make even one collage, as an ad pops up prompting me to pay for a subscription. There is no way around this ad, and even after force-closing the app and trying to restart, it happened again. I’m not sure why this is advertised as a free app, if you cannot use it without paying.

This app forces you to pay a weekly subscription of $4.99/week even for creating something basic such as a simple photo collage that many other apps allow you to do for free. As soon as you start inserting images in the layout, a screen appears and only offers you the option to try it for a week: after the trial period you have to pay. Other apps allow you to simply close that panel and keep on using them, but this one doesn’t, making it impossible to even explore the functionality. Deleted in less than 30 seconds as soon as the subscription panel with no “close” button appeared. Not fair, and certainly not the best way to make money as it shows no flexibility from the developers.

This app forces you to pay to use it. With it being a FREE app there is no reason to lock stuff behind a pay wall. Do not buy the premium, you will be inflating their greed and ego.

I searched apps for free collage maker and this pops up. Can’t remember now the details but it’s in my purchased history in my Apple App Store Acct. Just to be on the safe side I decided to delete this app until I get the info here from developer of app. I did not want to be charge an on going fee if there is one. If it’s in my acct under purchased even though I’ve deleted, does this mean there was a charge, if so was it was one time charge, every-time use charge, or monthly? If I download or it again will I be charged again? Thanks look forward to your reply.

Downloaded App to create a simple three picture image. As soon as I selected my three images the App defaults to a subscription ad for upgrades and avoiding or restoring only to a free App proved impossible. Total waste of time and phone space.

I had no idea there would be charges for these apps. It never walked me through a purchase like it does when I buy music. I did a search for free apps, this and a few more came up. How do I stop and cancel? I do not use these types of apps enough to pay for them. Deleting these off my phone does not help it just keeps them in standby as if it’s waiting for you to install. I’m not sure if I’m about to be charged again or not. Why did these collage apps not walk me through checkout so I would know that I was buying? If it had I would not have downloaded.

I have been charged 4.99 and I canceled this app I keep getting charged for monthly for an app that I’m not using and already paid for! It’s Very frustrating when it’s a one time fee so it says so why am I still getting charged! Please cancel my app and charges monthly

This is an interesting app. While it is free to download it should be noted that there are absolutely no free features that I could find. The only way you can do anything is by signing up for a subscription. There is a three day free trial. But in the description, it alludes to premium features which suggests that there are free features. This does not seem to be the case. Unless you need this for a single use, I wouldn’t even download it. And if you do need it for a single use or for use for a couple days be sure to cancel it as soon as you subscribe. The three day free trial will run its course and then the app will be in active and you can safely delete it. But make sure you download and save any pictures that you created with the app. My suggestion to the developer is to reword your descriptions so it is less deceiving.

Got this app to do a side by side pic. Would NOT let me progress until I accepted the “Free 3 day trial upgrade”. Could not find away around the upgrade so I accepted. Never took me back to my pic just re routed me to the upgrade page. Trying to delete and uninstall to no avail. I’m sure I’ll be charged the upgrade fee anyway

I can’t get past inserting one pic to see if I even want to use it!

They tell you it’s free to download but you can’t do anything unless you try the free trial. I think that’s a scam and immediately am deleting it!

There should be a way to decline - instead I will be unin stalling.

I have had this app for a long time. Now every time I open the app it goes to the “try it free” offer. I don’t want to the “try it free” offer. It won’t let me close it and I cannot get to the app to use it unless I accept the “try it free”. Now it’s a completely useless app.

I tried the App and liked it but was astonished at the $5/week charge. $250 per year is a bit steep for me. So I tried a couple of times to cancel, but could find no way to do it. Nothing on their site, and I lacked the time or inclination to waste. Sure enough, I waited too long and they zapped me with the $4.99 charge. My worry now is that they will try to do it again when this week is up. Following the link given in the above response I got to the Apple site and found their link. However, even there, they give instructions ONLY to renew! They say nothing about canceling. Am I to assume there will be no additional charges? Know what they say about “assume”? This is a terrible policy, meant to entrap customers. It’s a lovely little App but I detest this type of s***** marketing.

This app isn’t gonna let you do anything until you get the 3-day trial and then it’s an unreasonably expensive subscription. Scam.

Am I really being forced to try a trial?!? What if i don’t want to? I just want to use what’s available for free right now? I can’t complete my creation past the type of frame I want to use for the “try free trial” page comes up. I guess I’m just old fashion. I’m not trying anything unless I know I for sure it’s worth a try. This isn’t okay. Then what if I try it and forget to cancel? According to other users... your instructions aren’t correct in canceling subscription. I’ve never seen any app that tries to trap you before giving you anything!

Won’t even let you try it without their s***** ads popping up that you can’t close out. The only way to close it out is if you buy the app. This app is garbage.

Don't bother cuz it will try to get you to upgrade with a page you can't get rid of. I couldn't even try one picture before this block page covered everything. Don't waste your time

You literally can’t use any part of this app without the ad popping up. There’s no way to get out of the ad. What a waste.

I would open the app and put my pictures into the collage that I picked out. But as soon as we got to a screen a add would automatically pop up. I continued to look for a exit button but there was none. I’ve tried to exit the app and try again but it’s not working. This is my third time downloading this app I’ve had no problems with this app until now.

Don’t list as a free app when you can’t even make a collage without buying it first. So dumb.

App is free on AppStore but quickly presents and in-app purchase screen you can’t get out of and requiring you sign up for an expensive subscription model. Highly deceptive, surprised apple allows this.

After I uploaded 9 photos it kept freezing and deleting my collage both times I tried. Immediately cancelling this app!

Last up made the app loading hard to do with out crashing. Now I just did the update from 6 days ago and it will not open at all! Please fix it.

I got this app for work and stuff, and as I just finished making one it told me I had to upgrade and I thought to myself “well I don’t need to upgrade I’m fine” but it wouldn’t go away there was no X button or anything to get out of it I. Didn’t want to pay money for this if they wanted ppl to upgrade why didn’t they just make the app cost money I mean come on😑😒👎👎👎‼️

I had so much fun making colleges and before this I was always like ugh I wish I could put these two photos together but now I can so if you want to cool college or just for fun get this app!

I've been using this app for years, when it had only few tools... I don't know whyyyy????... when a company gets great results then they tend to change everything???... why they can't understand they get attention for what they ARE!!! BUT THEY CHANGE!

“In-app purchases” is supposed to mean that you access ADDITIONAL features for a price. Instead this app doesn’t let you use any of its functionality without signing up for a trial which will of course lead to payment. Maybe Apple needs a new name for all of the not-free apps that are proliferating.

This app is not free at all and I wasn’t even on the app 1 minute before it made me pay to go any further.

Using this app forces you to pay for the collage you create. Wouldn’t recommend it.

I deleted this app because it charged my card 5.33$. The next day it charged me again twice!!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APPLICATION!!!!!!!!

I used this app before but I got a new device so I was trying to download it. Right when I’m trying to select a photo this thing pops up telling me about a 3 day trial. It won’t let me exit and I can’t do anything. If I try to refresh it it pops up over and over again. I don’t want to pay for the payed version and I just want to use the app normally but it won’t let me.

Thought I could use this app for free but then it prompts you to upgrade for $5. If you don’t you can’t use this app. Not a free app. Scam.

I am not going to pay to use it now, not to mention I had already purchased premium features previously. Now they are not restoring. I am going to have to wait until it is possible for me to downgrade the app to one of the earlier, better versions.

I don’t want stickers, I don’t want to upgrade, I just wanted to use it to put two images together. Apparently, using it out of the box isn’t an option. Couldn’t delete it off my phone fast enough.

I can’t close the “upgrade” part, it’s really annoying, it’s forcing me to pay for something I don’t want.

So I just tried to send a polite email regarding this weekly subscription app (which is ridiculous) and their email domain name does not exist! If this isn’t a scam, I don’t know what is! $5 a week, plus no customer service support at all??? SCAM. I’m talking to my bank regarding these charges.

Says it’s a free app but once you open to start a collage then a free trial and the subscription ad. You can not say get out of the ad page to use the app. Will be using a different app.

The moment you upload your photos it covers the screen with an Ad you cant get out of except to click it.

This app starts a weekly subscription of $4.99. Just be aware after you install it. It starts charging every week your credit card you have on file for Apple store purchases. Awful customer experience. If you use it for a year, you will pay about $250.00. Now that is a little overpriced in my opinion.

As soon as I try to make one picture, it automatically goes to an upgrade and stays on that page and you cannot continue making one picture! Not free.

The app was free and you could pay for extras but now you have to pay. I’m not paying for this app when there’s so many free ones out there that are equally as good.

Why on EARTH is the subscription for his $4.99 per WEEK?! I can’t imagine this is REALLY worth $260+tax/year. Quick uninstall from me. App seemed nice but I don’t think any collage app is worth more than $15 for a lifetime purchase, Hell $5 is pushing it. Does seem to be easy to use and would happily reinstall if subscription price was more reasonable.

SO I JUST GO IT AND I opened it chose my pics and then I pops up a screen telling me to get premium and I can’t get off of it I’ve restarted the app several times but it keeps doing the same thing

Tried to use it but wanted me to sign up for a free trial. If you choose the freemium model, don’t force the sale.

“Premium” features cost $5 a week. Problem is almost everything in the app is a “premium feature”.
