Really, really like this app. It definitely meets all its promises and then some. Only one thing missing---inverting the mask. Sure, painting a small portion with an effect is possible, but often I prefer just to invert a mask and work that way. It'd be five or more stars for me if that feature could be added.

An app that I used on a daily basis is now irrelevant because the blend tool is nonexistent. What happened? This was my most trusted app when it came to editing and now it doesn't work properly.

Was one of my favorite apps but now it crashes since the new iOS update

After several years of using this app with minor glitches that seemed to fix after a few shut downs the app no longer wants to allow the blending option which is a huge reason why I loved the app. Now with the blending option not working I am not interested in this apps editing process with all the other options out there. I really hope it is fixed so I can use the app again.

What’s wrong with this app lately? Won’t let me blend or anything. Just sits there thinking. I try restarting the app, and it just picks up where it left off. Terrible since their last update. Fix this!

Needs updates. Nothing is working like it use to. Blend mode & more.

This app is a lot of fun and very user friendly. My only complaint is there hasn’t been an update for quite a few months. I’d love to see more textures and filters - more variety. I’ll move up to 5 stars when I see some major updates,

For some reason when I go to blend a photo, it just infinitely loads and doesn’t show the picture.

Please update this app. It was great app before but now its keep on crashing

Doesn’t allow me to blend the photos this app is great but needs update ASAP

I loved this app when I first downloaded it. Maybe it needs an update or something. It tends to crash a lot when u try to add a filter to your pic, or it will let u try 1 filter then crash or freeze on any others. It constantly says processing and sometimes I have to shut my phone off to get the app to restart. It has even made my phone freeze and I had to power off. Would love to have the app working correctly again.

Such a great app very user friendly a great app one of the best to edit photos I used this app to edit all my photos as you noticed all your comments are all positive feed back. But the app has been crashing lately..and some of the features has completely unusable.its indeed need a new update please don’t give up on this app..🙏🏽

I still find myself needing PaintFX more often than any other app. I'm enjoying neural art creation apps like Dreamscope and find PaintFX totally invaluable and irreplaceable for painting different effects into the same photo. The Blend effect is my most used option, and though this cabe done in other apps, it cannot be done as easily. The fact that PaintFX imports a photo and "snaps" it to fit over the base photo...thats what I need. Scaling it up while lowering opacity to see if elements line up is difficult, so PaintFX makes it so easy. If the pics are the same dimensions (like different edits of same photo) it layers it on top perfectly! The blending modes are also necessary and being able to paint right down to the pixel? Yes I love PaintFX, still in May 2018. Would LOVE if Sprite would update! Even more awesome would be to come out with Android counterpart but I know what a pain that is, so fixing this one up would be enough for me to take it back to 5 stars. Old Review from 2017- I stumbled upon Paintfx in 2012 & couldn't believe I hadn't heard of it. The filters were (still are) beautiful, it has some cool effects you can't easily find elsewhere (cracked, peeling for a start) and the best part was/IS this apps ability to paint on or erase effects and to the smallest detail via pinch/zoom. But the really REALLY unique feature I found under Blend (and a couple other places) and thats the "load from web" option. It took us to a screen where we could search am image and filter it by color and characteristics, and then we could magically paint in what we found (all after playing with different blends and opacity). That amazing option was broken for about a year and I was full of gratitude when it returned. However, its a bit changed. Now hardly anything is easy to search for and often the images returned seem totally unrelated to the searched word. I can see the difference is based on "attributions", and that tells me the issue was copyright related. Now I am HIGHLY against the stealing of someone else's work. So I really do understand why they had to make changes. Unscrupulous people were using copyrighted images and not crediting the owner when posting (in places like Instagram). That said, thieves are going to find a workaround & artists will forever have to watermark their work. This is the world we live in. If there is ANY way Sprite can fix the search/load from web feature to be more like it was and return images more related to our search or at least give us a detailed explanation of what the different attributions mean in relation to search results, I would again be forever grateful. In the end, even with the confusing search issues when loading images from the web- this is STILL one of the handful of photo editors I will never part with. It is definitely worth the price tag and truly a hidden gem amongst a sea of boring or redundant photo apps. PaintFX is amazing. PS Even the basic options like brightness and contrast can be painted on and are superior in quality to most every other app offering these basic editing features.

Crash City

Just now playing around with this app and I'm really enjoying it. I love the feature that allows you to 'paint' the effect on just a portion of your picture. One problem, though, is it tends to crash when I try to apply a filter.

I’ve had this app since 2012 I believe. I use it more then any other app however you can’t blend a vertical picture and the quality of a horizontal picture you blend (layer) losses its quality...

Must get 5 stars

This is the best app for photo editing. But now it crashes whenever you try to use half the filters . Really sad cuz I love & paid for it . PLEASE update I will give ten stars ❤️

Need update .. blind mood not working

I love this app and use it for a lot of art. I do nit know what happened to the contest? I have one huge complaint. Recently the blend tool started crashing. I love the blend tool in this app because it allows you to blend all or a little bit of an image. Otherwise the app is great.

I've tried dozens of editing apps, both paid and free. This app is by far the best I've tried.

Not intuitive. Crashes 90% time, & the effects are limited, which is surprising, because they’re so many options. I wanted to blend two photos and try after try after try it will crash during or, even better, when trying to save a project. I’ll keep looking… Wish you could test run these things before you had to buy them.

I have had (and still use) this app for a long, long time. It is easy to learn and the control of its powerful options are absolutely amazing. This app doesn’t degrade pixels. It does what it says. I use it to edit almost every image I print.

Fix is a great app, I've used it for so many Pics that I've taken, making pics so much Better, and bad pics being able to save them. Would recommend to all!

Paintfx is a great app when it wants to work. App crashes when you try and load a pic from your album and sometimes it doesn't.. It has a mind of its own, and it's very frustrating. Also crashes half way through a picture edit then you lose everything you've done to the pic very annoying.. PLEASE FIX PAINTFX!!!!!!!!

I like this app but when I try to apply “Rainbow” it just gets stuck processing.

Been using this app for a while now with no problems now every time i try and use the blend mode the app freezes and will continue every time I try and use it. Great app. Needs work

I love it ❣️I had it for a long time and it was broken, but I deleted and installed it again and it works, I am very pleased that I was able to recover it because I use it a lot to edit photos and makeup artwork with my own images👍💝🙏❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
