akbdeck's Review of Ndtimer
Reviewed on 10/6/19 1:52 PMThis app only works for ND64 and below. When using anything above an ND64 the math is all wrong and the exposure times are way under exposed.

Reviewed on 10/6/19 1:52 PMI really like this app, especially the feature that allows you to get exposure times for stacked filters. Very cool. The only reason I gave the app 4 stars instead of five is because you are only given a countdown timer for exposures over 30 seconds. And, if this is to be the ND app to end all ND apps then the countdown timer is going to have to go all the way down to at least 1 second (like NDCalc does, an app which I also own). Add that in the next update and I'd be an extremely happy camper. Overall, an excellent app. Thanks guys!

Reviewed on 10/6/19 1:52 PMFantastic app that allows me to focus on setting up my camera/filter, composition, etc -- instead of calculating exposure times manually. Contrary to the previous review I find the app to be very accurate regardless of what brand ND filter I use (Hoya or Lee) as it works off of stops not the particular brand type. Furthermore, you can easily adjust exposure in 1/2 stop increments by swiping the timer if you feel it is necessary either to compensate for your metering technique or for reciprocity failure when using film.
MattLandry's Review of Ndtimer
Reviewed on 10/6/19 1:52 PMThis app is truly horrible and unusable in its current state. The timer started and just keeps ticking away, even after reaching the end time, it just starts counting negative. There is no stop or reset button and closing the app doesn't help. Maybe I am supposed to restart my phone? Save your 99 vents and buy something else.
Gre8bazaar's Review of Ndtimer
Reviewed on 10/6/19 1:52 PMI usually don't write a review. This app is great. Usually lee big stoppers come with a table. I had Hoya and did not have a timer table. This worked amazing. The only problem I had was it underexposed by one stop. So once the adjustment was made it was all fine. May be it was to do with my Metering technique.
ShutterBob's Review of Ndtimer
Reviewed on 10/6/19 1:52 PMUsed this just this morning and it worked flawlessly. I was doing long exposures so a few seconds one way or the other didn't matter, but I was happy to have this app so I wouldn't have to embarrass myself by doing math on the iPhone calculator.

Reviewed on 10/6/19 1:52 PMThis app works exactly as I had hoped. Take a shot without your ND and note the shutter speed your camera's meter calculates. Then enter that speed into this app and boom, you've got your shutter speed when using the ND.

Reviewed on 10/6/19 1:52 PMThis very easy to use and saves time figuring the correct shutter speed when using ND filters in the field. It also helps if you have to stack them.

Reviewed on 10/6/19 1:52 PMGreat alternative to doing the math in my head. Works as advertised. Has a nice UI, lets me stack my polarizer, and the countdown timer for exposures over 30 seconds is a nice touch. Wish it had a bulb mode where custom shutter speeds could be entered to be more useful with night photography.

Reviewed on 10/6/19 1:52 PMHad the same issue as others and notified developer. Fast professional response. Did a little troubleshooting and determined that the timer would not stop ONLY if you failed to acknowledge the notification to "close your shutter" if phone went to sleep while it was timing. Provided this feedback and this issue was fixed with an update promised in a couple of days. So until then make sure you acknowledge that notification popup and all will be fine. Very happy with the app AND the response of the developer.
