What an absolute disappointment. I used to love this app. Recommended it to everyone who wanted to make cool edits, I probably used to make around 20 videos. Sure, you had to buy premium to get some of the best features, and I upgraded once to get a filter I liked. But now the entire thing is just grubbing for money? You have to pay a dollar just to download one edited video? Or pay to upgrade to a subscription. There aren’t even any added feature; just more things you can’t access without paying for them. Count me out.

Working from a phone can be difficult sometimes so I like to see what new innovative apps are out there. I tried this hoping I could upload my album art and slap a SIMPLE mp3 of the music I CREATED to said pic of my album art. Instead I’m forced to choose a bunch of u*** effects and promoted to “start a free trial.” I’ll just wait until I get home to use Sony Vegas pro LIKE A MAN. Don’t waste your time unless you’re a complete noob.

I can’t say how easy it is to use this app. I’ve created 2 incredible videos with the app. It took maybe 2 minutes to select my photos and videos, choose the preset parameters on Magisto for effects, music and the template. The app did the rest. Incredible!!! My family and friends are shocked at the professional production.

This app might be good for certain projects but for what I was using it for it was not fit. Every time I would click an icon an add would come up to buy premium. If you are not willing to buy premium there is not much it will allow you to do.

Downloaded the app once and it kept charging me fees after fees after I deleted it. I can’t get it to stop .

They charged 31 dollars because I clicked cancel subscription through the app but apparently you have to do it through the App Store and so I tried to give them a shot, but it’s just not worth 31, maybe 5 dollars. Wish I could get a refund but hopefully they’ll use the money to develop a better app.

Terribly misleading in the descriptions and functions of this app. First of all, note that it comes up first in the App Store with an “Ad” listed next to it- which means they pay for sponsorship and push faulty reviews!! I doubt that all of these five stars are legitimate, as there are so many problems throughout. From there, they push multi-tiered subscriptions on you with any attempt to explore the app. The user interface doesn’t make any sense. There aren’t tools for you to use on your own- you have no option but to choose a pre-designed template. It hardly makes any sense! I’m appalled that the App Store allows a company to push this obvious scam. And obviously the devs are “listening:” it’s more like defending themselves and trying to rake in the cash in any way possible. If they are a legitimate company that actually cares, focus on creating a good product that works instead of pawning this off to us like Snake Oil salesmen.

The latest update killed my ability to use my own music with my video which is why I bought this app to begin with. All I get is an “An error occurred... Retry or Swipe to cancel.” no matter what track I choose.

It worked... not like I would like it to but it worked. It said there was a 7 day FREE trial. I got it this morning and $30 was charged to my account. That doesn't sound like a FREE trial to me. The purchase is not eligible for returns. Never getting this app again and telling everyone I know about this horrible experience unless I get my money back. Do not recommend this app. I will change my review if you give me my money back

How much minutes of video can this hold?

It’s a great feature to have if you use something like this regularly but I only needed it for a couple of things and now it won’t let me cancel it from the app so it’s charging me over $30 a month. I don’t know how to get rid of it.

Deleted five minutes after downloading. It won't send me a verification email and the app keeps forcing itself closed. Haven't even had a chance to look at it before it shuts down. Annoying and deleted...

It’s nice. It could be better if you could arrange the order of pictures Luke on google photos, and if it used all 60 pictures that I choose. The music variety could be more broad too. But it comes in handy. Thanks!

After I select what pictures or videos I want to use and I can’t move them into the order I want them so therefore I have to go back and do it all over again. All songs that you go to choose from your own music isn’t available or doesn’t work. Other then these few minor issues the app works create and I have no other issues with it.

Delete as soon as I had to log in with Facebook which I did and than it tells me I must pay. Free trial for however many days. I instantly deleted at this point and will make certain I am not charged. This should be stated st the very beginning that it is s free TRIAL ONLY. I would never had even bothered to download. It’s a trick I see all too often now. Developers are not telling people it’s a trial and we put it on our devices. We will not use it but unless we go and decline at the end of the trial the developers are already charging your account. iTunes should TOTALLY BAN THESE TYPES OF APPS unless stated at the very beginning in the descriptions. So I never even tried the app. I don’t like to be deceived.

First of all it’s not free app you can’t even open without 3 day trial subscription but in reality 2 days because of you cancel less than 24 hours you will be charged 30$ for that garbage . If you already pay for Adobe CC subscription I don’t think you will get anything better here for 30 bucks . And check real reviews from real users . Not fake 5 stars reviews . This free app in Apple store any fake account can be created and left review without any verification . Developer said there are over million users . But it’s don’t look like that . I even report to Apple this is not free app and it’s scam .

This software does not make a movie with the items (photos and/or video) in the order I place them. Yes, this is the free version but it’s still supposed to work. Is the strategy of free version to make it more frustrating so you have to buy the premium?

I tried this out for a day and didn’t like it. They do a sneaky thing that automatically signs you up to get charged $19.99 monthly at a later date. I deleted the app almost immediately and figured I wouldn’t get charged because they didn’t have my cc info. However, apple does and they WILL charge you. There are better, cheaper apps out there. I’d skip this one.

I spent an hour making a 1 minute video. Anything longer costs you. Then you are forced into a weird Instagram like thing. Can’t download your videos.

Way harder to maneuver through then flip a gram you cannot choose the time that you want a song to start the editing is a nightmare it’s just extremely difficult to use or used to be able to create a Flipagram in under 10 minutes and be completed I’ve been on this app for over two hours and it is still not satisfactory

I downloaded the app and it offered a free trial subscription. I did that but it didn’t work. So I deleted it. Turns out I have been charged a $25 fee for renewal for something that doesn’t work. I want my money back when I didn’t even get to use it.

So I just downloaded this app to edit a video I need to pay to start my personal video that is a horrible deal this app is non different file other apps to do the stuff you need you have to pay that’s just horrible if I created a game I would make few app purchase to make the game good and have better reviews. Don’t subscribe!!! Worst experience ever. If I can give 0, I will. It took me 3 month to unsubscribe the service from their website. The system keeps charging me. I contacted the service, they claimed that it’s Apple’s fault and refused to resolve from their side.

How can i cancel this??—I’ve tried several times to edit my video so that my photos are in a certain order !-It keeps reverting back to whatever random order it comes -(maybe by date I downloaded my pics in my phone but for 35.00 I should be able to have a storyline with the order I want the photos /videos to appear in the “movie” what this app does I could have just done in the photo section of my phone for free!! Of course I can’t successfully cancel this app either ! 😩.

I had the app for maybe five minutes and it wasn’t capable of what I wanted to do. I was using the free trial so I went into settings IN THE APP and canceled the subscription before deleting the app. I was still charged for the subscription. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Cancel the subscription IN YOUR SETTINGS too not just in the app itself! Maybe I’m just dumb and didn’t know you’re supposed to but if the app says cancel subscription you’d that that’s enough to cancel 🙄

I tried the free business trial, because it said I could easily cancel within a week in “settings”. I tried it, the video quality was awful and there weren’t anymore options for creating a pro level video/slide show than my free apps. For $30 I expected way more than my free apps. Then, When I went to cancel, it turns out you have to cancel in ITUNES SETTINGS, not the app settings. Had I known this I wouldn’t have done the trial (I rarely do trials and checked to make sure it was easy to cancel), my iTunes account has been very problematic for years. Took me 3 hours to resolve the situation and customer support at Magisto had zero ability to fix it on their end and didn’t apologize for the misleading copy. Wish I had an option for zero stars. The customer support team is fairly quick to answer your emails, to tell you that they can not and will not do anything to help.

This bs app looking to charge you monthly!! I hate apps like this they hope for the company is you don’t read the fine print and go 3 months or longer of having this app and being charged $30 a month. Make sure to cancel yer trial they will just start charging you after 30 days. Personally the app is useless on so many levels. This is the worst type of app developer .. the ones charging for stuff that should be free. Cancel & check yer email for the info on what they charged you.

The platform gets quite buggy sometimes and it takes a long time to download the finished product. Also the quality of the videos should be full HD for paid users, $10/month is what I pay. Another great addition would be the possibility of a voiceover option. Otherwise it’s a great product with a great variety of soundtracks for your projects. I would give it a 5* if it was HD.

Me, not being a filmmaker of any kind. Used Magisto some time ago and put together one of the most treasured memories of my daughters life. The video was sensational! It was the first time she rode a bike by herself. Today she turns 11, and I quickly remembered how frustrating and regretful I am for using this app to capture this. I haven’t found any way to post it on Instagram, can only get it on an old Facebook and that I don’t use anymore, or can only provide the s***** link so people can check it out. It’s ridiculous and so frustrating. This is clearly driven by emotion but I’m okay with that, because I would totally pay anything asked if only I can have the video I make with it.

I’ve been through at least 5 slide show maker apps to make a slide show for a school project. As soon as I pick a certain number of pictures I have to pay to pick more, as soon as I try and add music I have to pay. I understand to make money you need people to pay you but some of us are students that can’t even afford those prices! And reducing them won’t do anything.

Today an ad popped up for a business account on my phone. When I tried to see what would be included in the subscription by clicking on a link below the purchase button it went ahead and charged me a full $79. Within 5 minutes, without using any features, I contacted customer service to try to cancel the subscription. They told me they could not help and sent me to Apple. I am extremely unsatisfied. It’s a cute software at a lower price point, but I’m not a business and I only make one or two videos a year. I did not click on purchase, and this amount should be refunded immediately.

Stupid junk app

When I first got the app, it was pretty good!! Enjoyed it, made a video for my daughters birthday & then after a week later, it charged me with a subscription that I didn’t even sign up for?! Now I cannot do anything like update my apps or even download anything without apple having me sign into a verification requirement & so I sign in & it says I owe at least $30 for the subscription that I “bought” when I didn’t even buy anything! & I didn’t have my card on my phone so how did it even charge me if I didn’t have my card on my phone?¿ READ before you do anything!

Clips don’t come in based on the order inserted. Makes you upgrade to pro to fix the clip order that the application ignores. Seems like a trick to get you into pro. Just a c*** application overall.

I use to have fun making videos and they came out good especially for a free app. Now when I post It on social media I can’t just post it as a video like you use to. It is pulled up from the Magisto app. More like an advertisement for the app then a fun made video. Small frame to view video. Also there is less you can do with your videos due to added charges. The #Magisto should of been enough to show how you created it. Now looking for new apps that I will have ways to connect pictures and videos.

Canceled the subscription because you have to sign up to try this junk. Cancelled and deleted the app...Week later they steal the $29.99 from me the durst chance I added money to my iTunes.. Give me back my money!!!

To be completely honest all I remember about this app is it not working or being like it said. I deleted this awhile back but apparently still have the option to rate and write a review so I did. I remember lots of bugs and ads and difficulties! You would do better off getting something else cause if you’re planning to use this to get likes on instagram or views on YouTube this will not do! I clearly don’t recommend this and probably never will!

The video turned out great but I couldn’t download it the creators could of st less gave us one video we could download for free, I can’t get the supscription so it’s obviously not as good as other people say but for the people that can’t get a member ship can we at least have one free down load pleas. I am graduating from school this year and was making a short video for my friends then it said I had to pay to download, so can the makers please make this a consideration.♥︎♥︎

You can make a movie just with pics

This app has brought me great joy after losing my marketer I thought life was over until this wonderful app!

I made movie posted on Facebook and I just had all this junk on there besides just the movie about cookies and how you could download the app Excedrin that’s not what I want people to see when I post a video.

I really really wish I could add TWO songs on a long video. I’m using this app to make my own wedding video and unfortunately it is only letting me use one song and awkwardly playing it twice !! It’s close to being a deal breaker because it’s an awkward thing to have a song repeat. Any chance this can be changed ASAP?

Worth the under 10 dollars a month I pay. Been a member now for a few years and I love how my videos come out and how easily they can be shared and saved .they have a lot of filters to choose from .

I downloaded Magisto to make videos of me and my girlfriend when we were on vacations. Are usually would surprise her after the trip with a new video and I always came out awesome. I would highly recommend this app if you’re looking to Make some really good videos and remember awesome memories.

I will say for the ONE video I did get to make the app was pretty awesome and easy to use. However, I actually hate the fact that you one get ONE free download when you’re trying the app. I have only had this app for 24hrs but when I tried to test another one of their themes I cant share it with my friend until I give them an X amount of money. Now, I understand you have to make money somehow, but this is ridiculous. At other video app has a complete free version then let’s you upgrade. Not a one and done

It’s awsome I mad elite 26 movies but what I didn’t is that your movies expire if you don’t draft them I’m a kid and I don’t really know or care what it means so I just press the things that I know that’s what you have to to not let it expire but seriously 😡😠😒 your movies can expire like what’s the point of the app then if all your progress and stuff is gonna expire I think they should change that cause I worked h****** mine and I don’t wanna lose them soooo yeah. 😡fix it.

I like that I can make little videos for my friends and send it to them to tell them how much they mean to me but, I don’t like that there is a limit of 10 things that you can put in a video without buying premium. I’m not buying it and I want to be able to put everything I want in it. But other than that I think it’s a great app. It’s fun to make the videos and share them with your friends. But it does take some time for the app to make them but that’s understandable. I love this app and could stay up all night on it. I’ve made 2 videos sent them to my friends and it only took about and hour to do. I would recommend this app to anyone that wants to show someone how they feel about them.

I tried to make a quick little collage for my dads 50th birthday and ended up spending hours messing with this s***** app. It kept shortening the videos I put in there, turning the sound off, and wouldn’t let me edit any of it. It was so frustrating. Do not use this if you’re needing it done quickly.

Just wanted to do a free trial but that make it so difficult to cancel the auto run subscription.

I go to check my recent bank transactions I notice that iTunes/Apple store had charged me $34. I don’t ever make any purchases so I was completely lost and in shock. I look more into it and realize that this s***** app had charged me for renewing a subscription I never even bought!! I had downloaded the app a long time ago apparently because I don’t have it now, but I did not buy its subscription or whatever. I then talked to Apple and they refunded me my money back, thank god. God bless them. But anyways, I just want to warn all of you to NOT TRUST THIS APP. They will charge you with unauthorized purchases. Its features must’ve not been all that good if I deleted. That is all.

Used to be great for free; even more amazing for a small price. Insanely useful fOR a larger subscription for business etc. I made SO MANY awake magisto movies. Now the only choice is a totally BS and useless free version (which can't even be serious), or a very expensive "business" subscription that honestly isn't even all that great (I got a free trial to see if it's get the old awesomeness back if I upgraded; NOPE!). Very disappointed this once useful and amazing app is pretty worthless now.

This app is so easy to use. I just wish that you could split the video into segments while you are trimming it for your movie instead of only being able to use the one segment you trim.

Do not download this app. They make it extremely difficult to cancel your “subscription”. Here’s my story: Looking to get into video editing so I go look for some apps on the App Store and see magisto. I read the description of their app and see that the download is just a free trial and I would need a subscription. I think to myself ok too easy I will just get in the app and cancel the auto renew as soon as I download. I don’t like paying subscriptions and I wasnt too devoted to editing anything yet for a price ( and if I was i definitely would not use this app , the video it produced was horrible). anyway I get into the app and immediately go to “cancel subscription”. I hit the cancel button and go through the process several times and I never seem to get a solid confirmation. So I decide to close the app and reopen it. When I returned to the settings screen I see the option to “return to subscription “ so i think ok it must have been cancelled. Apparently not the case because I had a$30 charge on my card today. And apparently the developer support is telling people on here that if they set up a subscription through their Apple ID they need to cancel the subscription through their Apple ID. However seems a bit misleading to have a “cancel subscription” button that doesn’t actually work. I will get my money refunded.

I downloaded this app to make a simple video for my daughter for her birthday. I thought this would do what I needed to. But I couldn’t even get the videos and photos I needed to upload. I couldn’t even get past the first screen. I had no choice but to immediately cancel my subscription. However, I just checked my account and I was billed for $32.04. I’m sure your app is wonderful for other users, but I didn’t even get to use it for what I needed and had to use a different app. Can I kindly be refunded for being unable to even use it? That’s a lot of money to justify spending on an app that didn’t get me past the first screen. Thank you.

I like to make edits for fun. It’s fun to put the music together and show people your edits. With this app, you are limited so much I barely even consider them my edits. If I want to mute a video, I can’t. I can’t even save it without paying money. Most other editing apps have much more freedom than this. Yes, it is helpful but it’s just not the editing app I’m into and by looking at the other reviews, most other people aren’t into it either. 😔

Where are the easy slideshow apps at? Here’s my response to yours: I have a slide show app and I don’t even need a free Trail to get unlimited pictures. I’m a teen I’m not made of money! Tried to trick you into “trial” that will bill if you don’t cancel right away. Didn’t get past the TOS you “agree to” by making a video. Had a read, but it was way to long and looked like it must be hiding something. Better options out there without subscription. And it should always export at 1080 minimum, or 4K if that’s the source.

First review I’ve ever done no lie but this is a dope app for makin ur own short videos I jus used it for my first time but I can see things i would like to be better about it but overall it’s a great app just needs a little bit of refinements in all aspects more powerful more user friendly help with things the common person wouldn’t understand make it more bold in the appeal or naming perhaps. The app itself isn’t bad, I can respect that, but the subscription, is very confusing. I got a pop-up when canceling it saying they are in no power to fix this, and I have to go to my settings. I did, and went through subscriptions. NOTHING! Will you start charging me when it starts? And if so, how can I end it first?

This app was incredibly disappointing. I wasn't looking for fancy filters or anything, but I was looking for a slide show app that would let me use however many pictures in a slideshow I wanted too. I would give this app five stars if I wasn't for the slide limit!

I downloaded this app for one simple project to make a video for a loved one only to realize five days later they charge by account $32.. Not only did they charge me for one of their more expensive packages I can’t get in contact with anyone to resolve the issue.. HONESTLY I may have kept the app and done a smaller monthly investment because it is a great tool but COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED

I faced the same issue as some reviewers below: signed for a trial to check the full functionality of the app for the further occasional use when I need it with no intention to pay for Professional version (as I don’t need it). Before signing for the trial I checked the Terms to make sure on the way to unsubscribe, and it was stated to be done over My Account right in the app. So in a few days I cancelled the subscription the way it was requested in their Terms, however have been billed anyway, when the trial expired! After some emails back and forth with Magisto support I’ve been told that the process of cancellation is different from what they requested in their Terms and refund is also the authority of Apple. I don’t get it, why to have this misleading “Cancel your subscription” button in My Account, if it does nothing?? And why have describe the procedure of cancellation differently in the Terms visible upon signing up? All together it looks very filthy to me. Kudos for the support team replying and doing it fast. Nice and fun app in general, even the outcome quality of the video is horrible. But this billing filthy thing - baaaad, too bad, guys.

$30 bucks a month for montages where you Head is cut off or fast zoom ins of someone’s eyeball. Plus zero freedom of when or how the pics/videos play? It was fine when it was &5 but 30 A WEEK? Pass. Rip off.

It combines our videos seamlessly and our logo is visible as well. I would recommend this video maker to others. They are also responsive to any problems and will quickly resolve any issues. Great music selection as well, even for commercial purposes. My only wish is that you could make a longer film. I had to put our year on several different compilation videos. Other than that GREAT app!

Before anything and first things first it says “sign in with Facebook”. You need an account to edit videos? No thanks. Then it says the premium version is $30 per month to simply edit videos? No thanks. I typically use Premiere Pro on my desktop but I needed something on my mobile. I didn’t even try this app and I instantly deleted it after all that. If someone is serious about editing film and willing to pay $30 a month, they most certainly won’t be using this app above all else.

Second, I apologize for the untimely follow-up and upon your notification I immediately searched my inventory for your app to refresh my overall review. After realizing I’d deleted it from my downloads, I went back to figure out why. Instantly I recalled the experience I had, and simultaneously experienced it again. From the gate, I’m bombarded with in-app purchases— ones that actually require the app to work well at all. The selections I’m left with WITHOUT coming straight from my pocket, do not compare to the apps I have used for several years- and that DO NOT hinder my video process by constantly soliciting up-sales. I understand everybody has to make money- I understand technology is not free nor is ANYTHING, however if I DO download a FREE app (and they all have in-app purchases) I want to be able to use it WITHOUT a salesman at every turn. In fairness regarding what your app actually does— for the Novice, unexperienced, super-busy, or just unimaginative person- my opinion is that it DOES make the process easier. For those people, this is probably a good start- for ‘not’ those people, i would believe it’s not much use. Again, thank you for taking time to listen to your public. Z.

DO. NOT. DOWNLOAD. 100% wish I would have read the reviews before I downloaded this app...I have been trying for an hour now to cancel my subscription. But every time, the app freezes up and closes or leaves an error message saying I need to cancel my subscription through iTunes. Read through the “developer responses” to similar complaints and they basically say they can’t help you lol greedy scum. No legitimate application makes it this difficult to cancel a subscription. I will be contacting my bank to block the payment as well as the better business bureau to report this fraudulent company.

If you make an edit you have to pay to save it in your camera roll. I was just trying to make some cool edits and post them on my tumblr but I have to pay to do that! I’m deleting this app! If you think you should get it DONT!!

This editing app is great way to get creative!! You could make an edit of a vacation you’ve been to, memories and even, relationships. I love this app, a couple of recommendations are a bit more listened to songs that are on the radio today, but, other than that this app is great!! 😁👍🏼

all I wanted was to compile several clips into one large clip. iMovie doesn't work well with portrait mode videos, so I needed something different. I chose my clips in order, but when the final clip got published, the clips were scrambled. to reorder them would've required a premium account and my credit card info for a 7 day free trial. no thank you.

Absolute trash Waste of time

I really like the app, I just don’t like how there is a 10pic and 4vid limit. I wish there was an option to put more videos than pictures for free. And I really don’t like the option of not being able to look up a song and add it to your video, there is only a selected amount of music that is chosen through the app. There is also a $0.99 fee to download a video. You can share it to your social media’s for free but you can’t download them.

They keep billing me and I had canceled my subscription 3 months ago. There is no reason to pay for this app as there is not much added benefit. Very disappointed

Complete scam. Totally sneaky app. Downloaded it and it said nothing about a charge. Tried it out, deleted it within 48 hours!!!!!.... 5 months ago!!!! All of a sudden this week, $30 credit card charge. Could NOT figure out how or where or why. It was this app and apple.... and after reading the reviews I’m kicking myself for not knowing better and paying attention and learning from others mistakes. This is my first review ever.... Spent a lot of time picking out photos for my slideshow just to have them rearranged in the actual video, and every time I would try to edit and fix them the app would force close. Will not be using this app more than once, much less past the free trial.

While video making apps are already a way to give extra life to pictures Magisto exceeded all expectations by making it extra easy for you! Great variety of songs, effects (light, medium or heavy) depending on how much impact you or emphasis you want to make, the ability to add subtitles, transitions, filters , etc. I love it and thanks to this app I’m leaving one of the most meaningful gifts for my kids for the future. Nothing like it! I’m a very pleased and satisfied customer!

Took me forever to make a movie for my daughters bday. Once my movie was made, the app suddenly just kept closing out and i can only watch like 5 seconds of my movie before it closes out again. Weak sauce!

So Magisto is great in all but there are some things that I don’t like...First I thought since I didn’t get a subscription it would be fine like I could make normal videos for my YT channel but I was wrong. Without the subscription I can only make like 30 second videos which make the photos flash really fast so you can’t understand what’s going on. And when I make a video it’s kinda fuzzy and I can still read but I don’t know about the viewers. I would like to say to Magisto that please make a new update.

I got this app a month or so ago and I saw it was free so I got it. I agreed to a free trial but then I deleted the app the same day. I have nothing against your app, it works great. The thing is I was charged for something I didn’t use. It’s like paying for an amusement park ticket but not being able to go on the rides. It’s unfair. It’s a $30 charge that I can’t afford because I’m far from wealthy. That money needs to go to my gas tank or towards something I use. I would appreciate if you contacted me or helped... I went through Apple support and they can’t refund so I expect mine from the app itself.

I love this app, it is easy to use and the videos are fantastic. I love all the music chooses and how I’m able to edit the video as much as I can to make it perfect. The fact that I’m also able to send the videos and downloaded to share is great. Thank you so much.

We’re limited on themes! Because of that it can feel like our movie clip is a repeat! If you make a few movies same theme it can be boring!

I thought this app was going to be a good replacement for “Flipagram” as it said in the description you choose photos from your camera roll and add music to them so I got the app in hopes of making a slideshow video with music for my boyfriend. First of all it was really difficult to even pick photos as they didn’t have all my photos laid out nicely. I kept having to push buttons to pull up more photos and then I learn that I was limited to 10 PHOTOS!!! At this point I was already annoyed and frustrated so I go to look at the music selection page to see if I could at least put music from my iTunes on the video only to find out you can’t put your own music on the video. Now I’m going to have to make the video on a different app and I was very annoyed during this whole process. I would not recommend getting this app.

I gave it one star because it didn’t have the feature I needed. Had a video sent to me that was rotated the wrong direction. Got this app to try to fix that. I didn’t see that option.

SCAMMERS! I cancelled my subscription four days into my free trial! Even made sure under my setting in iCloud that it was no longer subscribed and of course It wasn’t. However they will charge you anyways. They charged me 30 dollars when they didn’t have authorization to do so. To make it worse, the support desk blew me off and argued with me and refused to respond. Thanks to Apple help chat they went ahead and refunded it for me. Do not do business with these people. They are scammers!!!

I wanted to edit my videos using this app. My video’s quality was relatively well, but magistrates made it low quality and wouldn’t let me even edit the video to like trim and cut it.

i bought this app and deleted it within the same day and it’s been making charges to my account with out ever asking my permission.

You guys need to stop cutting down the videos and just add the edits

I downloaded this and was flipping through intro screens when one popped up saying I was going to be charge 34 dollars per month for a subscription. I tried to cancel and was told I could not since I purchased through App Store. I was told I needed to go into account settings on the iTunes App Store to cancel. I am trying but there is no way to do that !

I actually like the videos produced but charging nearly $30 a month is way too much. Built-in photo app for iOS already does a decent job.

I don’t want to pay for the app anymore because I don’t use it and it’s a waste of my money but the app won’t let me stop paying for it and I can’t figure it out.

I mean, for free, fine, whatever, but there is so little you can do! You have to have music, and you have to have a title appear on the video. I just needed to make a video that was “made together” to post on social media, not anything fancy (well, it isn’t FANCY, definitely not.) I gave it two stars instead of one because it would work for like a five year old (at least on the free one, no way was I going to be spending money on an editing APP when I have things like WeVideo.) I only got this app to be quick, and while it was quick, the video looked like crap, and you couldn’t even edit the video yourself! No creative freedom, and worst of all, it looks awful, let’s be clear. There is huge white letters that must play on the screen, and then you have awful music (which I wish they had a choice for NO MUSIC) in the background. I wouldn’t even recommend this for a home movie sort of thing. Don’t know what you would even do with it. Little editing freedom, and makes your simple videos stick into a box that they want your videos to fit in. Overall, this app wasn’t even comparable to iMovie! At least iMovie let’s you make your own video, which I was looking for an improvement from to edit videos together (not looking to make a horrible home movie, just edit videos together into one price, which one would think would be pretty basic for an video app.

I downloaded this for a project I had at work. I never used it and deleted the app but I kept being charged after the fact. If you are just trying to download this just to test it out be careful because canceling it can be very difficult. I’m sure the app is great from the other reviews I just wish I would have realized the charges. I was charged $19.99 for 4 straight months for an app I didn’t even have on my phone.

Ever since i signed up i am getting a ton of spam. This morning. Every fifteen minutes. One of my true pet peeves. So much spam these days i cant even use my email because of companies like this.

Videos that are put out are great and can be adjusted (a bit) after review if needed. But man the render / export speed is sooooooo and almost unusably slow. It’s actually ridiculous. I almost want to give one star because of that, and that’s a big shame as otherwise very good.

On a whim I bought the app thinking I could stitch a couple quick videos together. Admittedly I’m not a techie guy and saw the great reviews so picked this app. After putting the video through the app it came out really grainy and not usable for me. Maybe a more savvy computer person could spend hours and figure out how to make it better but it most certainly wasn’t a fast intuitive / easy fix for me. No harm , no foul so I thought. Seven days later I get a bill for $30 something dollars. I tried canceling the service day one after the seven day free trial however after multiple lengthy emails the company says I have to deal with Apple to get any kind of refund. The app is junk to me, the customer service is worthless and I paid the most money I’ve ever paid for an app. Buyer beware. Respectfully, Very disappointed customer

This app tells you that you’re receiving a month free trial and never tells you of an auto payment if you decide not to use the app. You have to actively cancel your subscription or else the company will steal your money without asking for a confirmation of membership renewal

Magisto is the perfect app where I can share my music

I downloaded this app and thought that it was a good video editor, besides the part that I have to have 15 seconds or more to create a video!!! I was trying to edit a 7 second video(don’t ask) and I couldn’t because I had to have 15 seconds. Never downloading again

I love this app, but they keep making it more expensive. Many of the choices that used to be included with the regular subscription are now moved to the premium. They don’t seem to be adding enough new content or features to tempt me into the quote a bit more expensive premium option. Add more song options, more choices for videos, and editing options where we can add videos where we pick which sections of the video get added. Also give us the choice whether we want the sound of the video to be heard or not.

There are so many video editing apps you can get for free that do more than this app does and this app will cost you hundreds of dollars a year! This is insane! Don’t even download the free version!

I needed to edit some videos for a work event we threw—but didn’t want to dedicate hours to editing and coming out with an amateur result. This is a great tool if you want to create engaging videos for your social media content, but don’t have the time or resources to edit the video. I might even convince our committee to purchase the professional version so we can add our logo. Very satisfied!

If you are looking to lose 30 dollars to create a trash video then Magisto is the app for you! I started the “free” trial with Magisto about a month ago and made a slideshow. It ended up looking like garbage and the quality of my video was distorted after using the app. After that disappointing outcome I immediately went to cancel the trial. It wouldn’t work, it kept saying ERROR or closing the app. Finally it had seemed as if I had cancelled it. I was wrong. They charged me for a full months subscription. There is no way of contacting them. I keep leaving reviews and I guess they have been deleted. That’s all I have to say. Don’t waste your time or money on this piece of trash. Good day.

This is a cool way to make photo slideshows but sometimes you might need to pay

Made me sign up for a pro version to REARRANGE CLIPS?! Oh and it cuts off parts of your clips at random, deleted some altogether. Tried to rearrange some by itself after I “edited” it, like what the hell? Why is that a feature? Obviously I want to arrange the clips the way I want thats why I downloaded this trash. Takes forever to buffer too. Editing isn't intuitive. Quite literally did not work at all. F***ing awful app do not download this.

I recently trialed, or so I thought, this app. After searching through multiple video editing apps, I came across this one and “trialed” it. I didn’t realize I had purchased it until my bank statement showed it. I had no response from this company, nor Apple, to me signing for a free trial letting me know I had actually purchased the app. According to Magisto, it’s Apple’s policy for a one time free trial. Ok. I understand. Perhaps it was in the fine print... but I believe that Magisto should care for their potential customers and reiterate that... or at the very least give a warning when signing for the free trial that it is not actually a free trial. Sidenote - I apparently signed up 5 years ago when my baby was a few weeks old. I had completely forgotten about it. So, my fault..for not reading the fine print somewhere, wherever it is. And for forgetting I had tried a free trial. I get it and I paid the 32 dollars for this app. Lesson learned... but felt I should let others know so they don’t make the same mistake I did. Bottom line - good app but not for the price. You can find better for less $$. I don’t trust this company so I don’t plan to use it nor will I recommend it.

I don’t have the money to spend on apps. I was looking at this app because I heard it was a good editing app, well in my experience, it’s not. It’s very complicated and it’s like I can’t do anything without “Upgrade To Professional” popping up in my face. Heck, I can’t even download my movie because I have to pay money to do that. It’s very annoying, and I’m disappointed.

Advertised as free but you have to pay for everything, I rather pay someone else to do this right than spend 30 a month on a c*** app.

This is truly a good app but I am a YouTuber and my videos are long and I need to pay for this.. it is disappointing that I have to pay to make my videos.

I'm incredibly disappointed with this app. I've used it for several years, bought the Premium subscription, which used to be the best available option, allowing for captions, logo, re-ordering pictures, etc. In the last update, all of those capabilities were moved into the "professional" category. No option to be grandfathered in, no notification of capabilities changing, etc. To get those capabilities back I have to pay for the Professional service. Not going to do it.

You get a free app with no implication it’s a limited version. Then you have to create an account. Then you are told you only have a 30 day trial. After that you are auto-billed $29.99 PER MONTH unless you cancel somehow and the instructions to do that were vague. In my case I couldn’t even create and account “at this time.”

I was going to cancel my subscription for a month or two but to do so is seemingly impossible. I cancelled from the app, or so thought. When I got charged again I though, “well, I must have done it incorrectly”. This time, I get a pop up that says I have to unsubscribe through my iTunes id. I follow the steps to unsubscribe from there-it’s listed but there is no unsubscribe option. I email support and am refunded $7.57. Upon closer look at my account I find that when I “ugraded” from a $6.99 plan to a $15 plan it wasn’t actually an upgrade. I was still being charged both. Upgrade apparently means something very different to Magisto. I file a dispute with PayPal. They are still looking into it. Today My BANK account-not PayPal is charged another $15 from Magisto!!! I go to look at my iTubes Subscription and it is listed as cancelled. Magisto is still telling me I have to unsubscribe through iTunes and not them. This is a mess! What am i supposed to do to stop the payments-close my bank account and PayPal???? These people cannot be trusted. Not only have I lost money, but the amount of time I’ve wasted on just unsubscribing from this ridiculous app is absolutely absurd!!

I love the free 1.5 minute videos it makes for me but if you pay for it, it’s $30... THIRTY DOLLARS A MONTH.. almost a cell phone payment.

Magisto make it easier have everything I need for my videos I love it !!

When I first used Magisto, it was great. By then after a few days, it stopped working and mixed up my animations. I do animations on Gacha Studio and the quality is really good on Magisto, it just mixes up my animations on often occasions and it also did today. Even with the bug update, it still didn’t function like it used to when I started using it. The summary of this is if it didn’t mix up my animations, it would’ve been great.

You get a 7 day free trial but it ask’s you to link in your payment plans so that it will automatically take out like $24 a month! That is way overpriced for an app that you will probably only use a couple times a month. I wouldn’t recommend it.

This app is great! You can customize your video a lot, like the theme, the title, the duration, the music, and more! The only thing is that if you do not get the paid version you will hate the app, so get the paid version, which is actually not that cheap!

For starters when you add a video the sound from it goes. And you are limited to a amount of photos ( unless you start a monthly fee )
