Ok so it’s an ok app the only one I used and I spent hours deleting old products and c*** like that then it crashes whenever I’m adding music to my speedpaint get this fixed now please because it’s happened three times and it’s super annoying because I’ll be 7 minutes in and then it shuts out the app! When I want to put music in a movie then I says, it’s protected

This app is pretty much fine but I don’t like that it doesn’t have emojis to cover up things that you don’t want to be shown

Last night I was up 11:04 trying to finish my video. In the morning I woke at 8:30 it was working I was tired I went Off and watch YouTube and then suddenly iMovie was so slow and went and restarted the app start to crash I restart the app it didn’t work I restarted my iPad. It didn’t even work either can you fix that please

It takes up so much storage and made me delete all my apps to get it

This app is the most frustrating and disgraceful app I have on my phone. I will spend HOURS editing YouTube videos and if I leave the app for any reason, iMovie just gives me a grey screen and won’t let me edit anything else in my movie. And on top of that, won’t let me save the file either. I don’t know why it’s like this. But is need to be fixed ASAP. So...you gonna fix it, or nah?

I love iMovie, it’s the best app in history! I create my YouTube vids on there and connect little clips into perfecto! 👌🏽 I adore this app it’s absolutely amazing but I don’t know why some of my movies say downloading videos because then I can’t watch them and it’s sad, so i think you should update that just one thing and it would be even better if you guys changed that so I would go on it more often and have more fun in conclusion one little touch and it’s even better otherwise it’s amazing so be proud for creating this app. Have a gr8 day!!!!!! This is an awesome app for people who love to create, and design movies! I had so much fun playing around with this and exploring!

For what ever reason this keeps crashing. I have a video to upload but whenever I’ve been editing it’s too slow, and sometimes it goes back to the beginning of the video. And it’s done this 15 tines. I’ll lose all my editing if I decide to delete and reinstall. This is very annoying. It’s also annoying to delete and reinstall after crashing so if it happens again I’ll move to different software. Please update.

This app is epic! I make a ton of movies and trailers with it! I think that it would be a lot more epic if you could take split camera videos/ photos, and if you could add a green screen! Thanks!

Whenever i do a voiceover, it picks up so much background noise for no reason, even when it is really quiet! It annoys me so much! Voiceover is major thing for me so i took 2 stars. Please fix and i will rate five stars. And can u add a bigger variety of music pls? Im tired of using the same music over and over... and so -1 star. Other than that, great app.

I Really Like It

I am very disappointed. Everything is great except for the changing of my videos. Im trying to edit my videos and when i save it i go back and watch the video and the music is out of place as well as other things. I use this app to edit my videos for Youtube and its really frustrating that i have to constantly go back and re-edit things just for it to still change my stuff from how i originally had it. Please fix this!

It is a good app, one problem is that it does not help you out when you don’t know how to do something. I am trying to put a song on and every song is DRM protected and can’t be used. Wish there was a way to add a song of my choosing without problems like that. Other than the music it is a good app.

I love this app!! I use it all the time for editing. I only wish they let you green screen and more fonts and transitions. I also wish you could move the text where you want. Otherwise it's GREAT!! Please add this Thanks!

You really need to fix this. Please, When I just finish with my videos, i go to iMovie, and i put it my video [That’s screen recorded with my voice] The recordings fine but my voice, it doesn’t show up. I private the videos with my voice. But always, “Error Uploading Video” And I had enough. Please fix! I really want to edit my videos WITH MY FREAKING VOICE

After using this app quite a lot, I’ve learned to make professional looking videos easily. I do, however, have a suggestion. I would like to be able to add my voice memos to my video, instead of having to record a voice over.

I really love this app I prefer making trailer and I would’ve given 5 stars but here’s the reason I’m not. So when I was visiting my cousins I made a bunch of videos with them and made little trailers. Also I made a few stupid/funny trailers of myself. So right now I wanted to go look at them. When I tried watching one of the trailers it said “these contain clips from videos/pictures you have already deleted” or “these are being downloaded from iCloud” and I was upset because I didn’t even delete those videos. I would’ve given 5 stars but this is why. Overall it’s a fun time pass

I love iMovie, and I use it for all the time for editing my YouTube videos, and it is really simple and easy to use but it has some downfalls too. Pros: This lets you edit videos, make movies, and do pretty much anything you need for good quality vids. Cons: The text that you put on the video, you can’t do more than one sentence without splitting it, it also crashes a lot. I was using it earlier today, and it kept crashing when I was voice recording in the same spot, EVERY TIME! And it kept deleting my voice over, so when I spent an hour trying to do a voiceover for a 5 minute video, I got extremely angry, and that’s what made me write this review. Overall: iMovie is an amazing app and you should really consider getting it! I am so thankful that it doesn’t crash every time I finish a video like most softwares do. Just get used to the fact that all apps crash, and iMovie is still an amazing app.

So the deal with i movie is it works and all, but the app has some really frustrating bugs🤬. First of all, if you use the movie feature for 20ish minutes strait, all of the audio clips will be kicked back just a hair, which screws EVERYTHING up. And then, sometimes, more times than not, when you record a segment of audio for the second time, the timer will mess up and not record, and then glitches out. When moving the audio around, it’ll move places the user doesn’t put it, and sometimes the app just gives up and doesn't let you adjust the lengths or anything, so you have to wait, reboot it, and wait, and then it doesn’t work. IT NEEDS AN UPDATE!!!!

Every time I increase the volume to 500%, detach it, and increase the silent clip to 500% again for the loud effect, the audio just breaks and makes a high pitched noise rather than loud audio. Please fix this issue

I love this app. Me and my cousin make super funny movies when we are bored and it’s so fun. I love all the different styles of trailers. And you can make a movie if you want to customize you music and word style. And the time of your movie. It’s really cool and fun. Thank you Apple

Literally won’t load past a certain point. I left it to export all night and it didn’t. It’s the best app I’ve found for video editing for YouTube. But then it won’t export. Please fix ASAP.

I’ve tested almost all the editing apps on the App Store, yet every single one of them doesn’t even compare to this. iMovie allows you to edit videos, and the countless features allow you to create movies that seem impossible to create on a phone with ease. This app is great for making movies on the go, and great for aspiring YouTube creators.

Hey! This app has served me well for my YouTube videos I have been trying to make for my HERBS Studios channel. However, when I screen record with my voice as audio over it, when I upload the clips to iMovie it inexplicably removes the audio of the real world that I recorded! What the heck! And there is no option in audio to add he audio of another video. As far as I know I need to voice memos the original video on another phone when playing it out of my phone, then send that voice memo to myself, and then upload that to iTunes and line it up correctly with the video that had the audio removed originally!!! PLEASE FIX BECAUSE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE VIDEO GAMING VIDEOS WITH THIS GLITCH Thanks

Works great on older models but severe bugs makes it unusable on apples flagship phone. Editing goes fine and looks great in the demo window. The problem comes with exporting, it either crashes out of the app or the rendered video does not show anything at all. Just a blank or grey video background w overlays (text etc) actual original video file does not show up in exported file! Please fix!!!!

IMovie is a great app!! But there’s one thing that I would like to see added to this app, it is the ability to MOVE your TEXT, this would be great for me!! Otherwise it’s a great app.

This is a very simple editing software. I use it a lot while I’m in college. And right now I’m studying film. So this helps a lot!

It really does take to much of my space. I feel like you need to update this. I always have to delete Snapchat and then reinstall it after I figure out why it’s not loading

(Update 9/26/18) it will not let me save my project to iCloud or even to my phone once you go past a certain time limit on your video. This app is awesome with all the twerks and enhancements just it will not let me save it to my PHONE!!! Beyond mad. wish I could change the speed of videos that you overlap other videos.. My whole project just disappeared! After working so h****** that video!! Now it won’t download to phone. After I guess a certain time frame it will not download. This was my go to app to make videos. Now I have to find another one!? When the video is long it never uploads. Just wasted all your time!!!

for editing, it’s awesome. I love it and my videos always turn out great when I use this, but it has major bugs that need to be fixed! it will delete my progress or glitch out and won’t let me see how much I’m cutting out of my video. obviously I get very frustrated when this happens cause I work super h****** it and then it will crash and delete all my progress. overall it’s good for quick small things but detailed videos with lots of clips and audio clips can easily get messed up :( it also glitches occasionally making all my cuts delayed or repeated without me doing it!! please fix!!!

I was in love with iMovie about two months ago when my videos started becoming absolutely silent or were very loud and when I turned them down all the way, they were still blasting. I was just editing a video now and it was about 30 minutes long. I finished it then came back in to save it and what happened? All my progress. Completely lost. I think I can speak for everyone else when I say please fix it, it is not enjoyable when it keeps having these glitches.

So tired of this app. I can’t stand it anymore. Every time I work really h****** a movie with my friends or with myself I always end up losing it. I go onto the app and it’s just a black screen and then it shuts off. All my hard work wasted. I hope Apple could fix this but until then I’m not touching this app.

iMovie is a great editor in all and I use it all the time but I also upload my videos and 1. Why is their a 15 MINUTE TIME LIMIT, it’s just annoying when your trying to make such 2. YouTube Uploads will say it’s uploading but then you don’t see the video on your channel and I don’t know what happened to my thing. iMovie is always good for the first solid amount of time I use it for videos but always ends up s******* it up somehow, whether it’s by getting ride of all the video, displacing the audio or cutting out parts on its own. Some of the features on it are frustrating too, and it needs to get some updated ones.

I use this app for my YouTube channel “Forrest’s Auto Reviews”. I don’t know what I am going to be because the app has been crashing every time I export. This is my 3rd time re downloading and it is still happening! Please fix!!!!!

It’s fairly well but it moves the audio bar wherever it wants and crashes from time to time. When it does crash,it deletes my most recent edit. Very frustrating because I spend up to an hour or more editing some of these. I would also really like if they could add crop out photos or videos. Anyway,like I said it fairly well and simple to use.

I don’t know what happened. After I make a couple of successful movies with iMovie, the key burn disable/enable feature disappeared. I couldn’t pinch the pictures to get full view anymore, either. The pictures also kept moving around in the video, which got really annoying. I restarted the app multiple times with no result. Then, I deleted the app and reinstalled it only to find the same problems. Please try to fix this!

use it to make gacha studio videos

I use it on the daily to make memes. My only complaint, though, is that you can’t layer more than 3 tracks at once. Really bugs me and I have to take the extra time to compress all the tracks into an mp4, wait for it to load, download it, and put in the compressed mp3.

This is a fun app. Me and my friends are planning on using this to create trailers (and films). It is a fun app to use, though I wish it could safe on having to make an actual low-budget film or trailer with having to buy costumes and lighting effects. I’m just saying! You could download lighting effects and stuff . . .

Overall great, but there are itty-bitty flaws that could be fixed. First one is videos. In the movies, the scenes take up storage. I delete them from my Photos and then I go to see the movie I have made. It says I can’t watch it because the scenes are not in my storage. Second one is music. So I go to select my favorite song as my background music, but it’s not there. I know you guys have a wide variety of options, but some songs aren’t there. I suggest that you give the opportunity to download music on there, so people (like me) can play many songs as background music. Third is nothing. There’s only 2 flaws in this app, so 5 stars for you guys 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I use iMovie to edit all of my yt videos and it’s the best one I’ve bee used. It like to glitch and stop working and crash though. I would rly like it if they could add a warp/disformed effect on the app and maybe a voice changer

this app is great, i love everything about it but there is one problem that’s been really annoying and it hasn’t been fixed since the app has came out. When you adjust the volume of two or more clips (happens randomly) all of your sounds different added sounds move back and clips you split cut to black for a second after it moves to another clip, please fix this problem, it has been with this app for as long as i been using it and it’s really aggravating

There are a bunch of errors and glitches preventing the app from working properly. Audio bars move on their own to different places of the movie. Audio in videos go muted for no reason. Sound effects are not in the video sometimes when saved to the photo album. Please fix this. This is absolutely ridiculous. I make home movies and this app is just disgusting.

This app is great! I really think this should be #1 in its category. The things you can do now with technology are simply incredible. My friends and I love to use this app to make “Movies” about everything from evil dentists to queens and everything in between. I think you should add more theme songs or tunes, effects, filters, and stage combat. Although I am only twelve years old please consider my suggestions, and getting this app.

I’ve been using this app to make YouTube videos for a few years, and used the music included in the app for my videos. Now all of a sudden, I am getting copyright claims over the music this app supplies. I love the app, but this is getting frustrating.

It shrinks my cuts

I’ve had IMovie for about 3-4 years now and I love it- I recently made a video and the transitions were not set to black out between clips and they r doing it anyways.. I’ve tried twice but it won’t budge??!helppp

Always crashes I’ve spent two hours trying to make a slide show and it’s pointless it crashed after 120 pictures were added so I wasted my time for nothing and it wasn’t there saved when I finished so I thought maybe this app is just bad and can’t handle large slides I shortened it to 40 photos STILL CRASHED horrible app wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I have a YouTube channel and I always go to this spot make the videos. This is an awesome video and photo editor. It is also VERY EASY to use. And it’s absolutely free! I highly recommend this app

Love this app but it keeps crashing on a very important video that I need. I accidentally deleted one of the attachments on the video, and now I can’t even delete the deleted attachment from the video because it keeps crashing. Deleted the app and re-downloaded it but still doing the same thing. disappointed.

Usually when i add a file like .wav for sound imovie never opens it but everytime I redownload it it allows me to add on .wav file and no other its extremely weird and i really need you guys to fix it please

I used this app for a project and it wouldn't let me edit or share my video with anyone on data. Making me and partners have a bad grade. Waring for iPhone users I had difficulty with anything I got from my cloud. DO NOT use this app for a last minute project you have to learn how to use the app.

This is the best app for video editing on Apple that I have ever seen. It’s incredible! You can do ANYTHING on it and it takes working with it for a while to get most things but it’s for real the best. I use it for all my YouTube videos. That’s Apple! 💚

I have the latest iOS update and iPhoneX and this app will not function anymore. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it’s useless.

When I import a screencast, there is no audio. The only workaround I’ve found is to post-process the original video file in another app, and import that file into iMovie. For some reason, iMovie then recognizes the audio track. This is pretty inconvenient - you’d think that Apple’s iMovie would work flawlessly with videos created on with its own software.

Hello, overall, this is just a bug and I really love the app that makes me do slideshows. But one problem is that the clips are short and they used to long when I edit them. For example: The clip I used and when I measure the seconds, it actually went with the seconds. Another one: This one about the short clip, when I added the clip onto iMovie it was just short. It wouldn’t go anywhere when I tried to measure the seconds. Bug?

I’m DEVASTATED because I just found out that if you delete the videos you use in the app from your photo album, they won’t appear in the app anymore. I just lost 30 minutes of content. The app wasn’t that great to begin with; can’t even split videos.

Dear iMovie I love this app but I want to say 5 things in one video but I can onley day one for the whole video. I would like it if I could say more like were you click on the video is were you type the message and also maybe add a invisible thing were you can tap an item while you are editing and make that thing disappear it would be even cooler if after you make it disappear you could se the background behind it. This version of iMovie doesn’t have nearly all the features and options that are in the macOS version. No options for transition, text or titles, gallery view, or anything. It does not go far past selecting what videos/photos you want from Photos and boom, it makes a movie for you. This hardly qualifies as a video editing app. Super disappointed.

There’s just one problem, it won’t let me detach audio then delete the video, I will detach the audio, then, I delete the video, then it deletes both, this is VERY FRUSTRATING.

This is one of the most infuriating ways to edit. Audio and video clips won't ever stay in place, they always automatically fill in gaps where I wanted to put something else in, there are a lot of little edits, changes and things that the app will do by itself, thinking it's being helpful when it's not.... It's just sO frustrating. Very very dissatisfied with the constant errors. Edits I make don't stick; they'll revert to what the original takes were, or imovie will just make up its own way of editing them. This software just needs like, a timeline or something. Let me explain. So, why do my audio and video clips bounce around, become out of place from where I wanted them, every time I add or delete or edit another portion of the project? Huh? Do you guys understand how annoying and tedious that is??? Do you even care??? I have found myself writhing, ranting hysterically, looking like a complete loon, because of the unfathomable level of frustration this app has gotten me. Please get some people together who know about making videos, and work with them to help fix the many deal breaking issues with this app. This is a genuine criticism, review, and plea. I wANT to keep using your app, as I am used to the interface- but, it's just broken!!!! Please, pLEASE fix it PLEASE.

I have been using iMovie for a lot of time now and I really like the app a lot. A couple of weeks ago I movie started really lagging and it wouldn’t let me make a new movie it just froze when I pressed movie. I am looking on the App Store for other editing Apps that I cannot find one that is as good as this one. This is a useful app but the controls are so bad, every time I’ll try to edit it will skip my vid to the very beginning making me scroll all the way back and redo my video, the only reason I use it so much is because it the only real editing app on iOS that doesn’t cast money.

Look IMovie is great and all but the Ken Burns on pics I HATE IT! The reason why I hate is: 1. For example I took a picture outside in the great outdoors! This app is amazing. But theirs some things that you can do on a Mac that this app doesn’t have. Like, the text is good but it needs to be more custom. The people should get creative with the text like using their own fonts and colors. Another thing is glitches. Their are some glitches when I am touching up the clips. Sometimes when I press play it plays just a few second to late. That is all the features I could think of that you should add to this app.

I record a lot of videos vertically and when I do so, it zooms in and the video is completely trashed. If they just fixed the vertical zoom his app would be amazing and I changed my 4 to a 5.

It’s was super good until just now. I made a movie that was about 9 minutes long. My phone was almost dead so I went to go look for the charger as my movie was exporting to my camera role. My phone died and then I plugged it back up. Once it turned on, my movie was in iMovie but not my camera roll. Now, it won’t let me click on the movie in iMovie and every time I do it just freezes. I don’t know if it’s because my phone died but can someone please help me?? Thanks

Serious need of rework. I do extremely basic video editing and it can't even do simple cuts and trimming without duplicating video/audio cuts or creating a clip that can't be deleted.

When I try to start a new project, I hit movie and then the whole screen freezes and I have to close out the app. Then I try again and the same thing happened.

I can understand that sometimes apps don’t get updated or just stop being cared about... but this is iMovie. This is supposed to be like the best video editor, and if I need a simple montage, I have to do it as fast as possible for fear of removing audio, or rearranging something. So when I was making something I finished it and hit done but when I went to watch it, it was just weird colors and that’s it. That wasn’t even what I made. So I just got an email form Eric B. He wants me to say more. So I made a video and I was going to edit it with iMovie. When I had finish I was going to check out how it looked. There were some colors. First color: Light green with blue mixed in. Second color: light grey That’s all the colors I saw but those weren’t what I even recorded and made. BTW I’m freaking out cause Eric knows my name.

Hello everyone! If you’re looking for an app to make fan edits or YouTube videos, I would definitely recommend iMovie! There’s cool transitions, awesome sound effects, and it’s very easy to use to edit clips and add music! However, recently I’ve been having a problem with sharing my projects. It will export to my camera roll to about 70% and then it will freeze. It will either stop processing or actually go in reverse. Please fix this problem. Other than that, I love iMovie!

I’ve used iMovie for about a month know, and I’d say it’s very good....that was until it started glitching out and everything, I’d sometimes split my animation, and then the screen would just turn black and I’d have to restart the editing process all over again! This is a good app if you are starting out but I would definitely only use it for a little. The text fonts are cheesey and it takes a lot of storage for me to download. I even had to delete 3 apps and all my messages just to download this app. Would definitely appreciate a better upgrade

iMovie is great, but I noticed that the computer has more options than the apps. I feel like a lot more people would use the app if there were more options, like said computer. One flaw is the titles. It sort of bothers me that there are limited things to do with the titles. Maybe make it more interesting?

Hello guys!! I'm really in love with this app. I've been using is for 2 years now and it's incredible. But can you upgrade it to a more usable app for moviemakers and animators!? Simply all I'm asking for is a V-CAM in the app. I really really need it. I paid $3.99 for basic editing. App changes the format of my video to square when I want video to remain landscape. Doesn’t always allow me to save in HD 1080. Features filters never apply- EVER. I hate this editor but love iMovie. What the h*** happened?!

I spent 7 hours working on a video when suddenly all the photos go black in the video and I can’t access it anymore.

My imovie keeps freezing on it and I can press anything I’ve done everything except delete the app but I have all of those videos I haven’t saved so I don’t know what to do...

Clicking off the app interrupts the upload while uploading to YouTube basically making your phone useless while it upload, this needs to be addressed.

I’ve seen some reviews that say this app is amazing, with great features that are powerful and can be used to make amazing content. I just wish I could see what they’re talking about. I had wanted to edit a small 16 second video, just a zooming effect and maybe a grayscale effect that would fade in. However, I opened the app and tried tapping video, but opening the camera roll seemed too much. The app became insanely slow, and would crash if you tapped on anything rather than swiping, which is even a hassle because the app boasts 1 frame per 5-10 seconds. I then looked through other reviews and saw this was a common problem. So, if you want a good editing tool, do not go with this. Perhaps, with some optimization this app would be great, but as for now, this app is unusable and unstable.

major orientations issues, i film a vid on my iphone , edit it on same iphone, splice vid in , exported video is in a tiny box. can’t mix landscape and portrait videos (even w twist motion to rotate vids , still export is way off size) edit- just retested , have a full screen normal portrait video i just filmed on iphone. open in imovie then save/export it, video is in a tiny black box, about 25% of its size. i’m on ios 11.3.1 7 plus

So the day I got my phone I am immediately started messing with this app. But I thought like it showed in the styles it would have asked for pictures of people but instead it has like little stick figure sweet of walking around and they look like they didn’t have any clothes on. As a kid I would think that it wouldn’t be right to like mess with it because just plain inappropriate little bit so you like change that up a little bit maybe. I will be maybe a couple steps closer to being more kid friendly! There’s one thing I like about it which is like you can make your own looks like it was professional is that with the little stick figures that I talked about earlier can you please change that! I really like using iMovie as an editor because it leaves no water marks and I can upload in 4K. but I wish I could move text where ever I wanted it to go and I wish I could change the font and color. I also think it would be nice if they came out with new trailer templates. I would love it if this was available on my computer. I have a chrome book and I it doesn’t let me get the app. I wish I could get the app on there so I can edit go pro footage and other videos straight on my computer instead of having to download it and then having to edit on my phone. other than that I really think iMovie is a great app and it’s very easy to edit on there. I’ve figured I can skate by but I can’t take it anymore. There is a glitch in the app, a HUGE glitch, every now and then if I dare touch the audio percentage, adjust it in the slightest, my video is ruined and I have to fix everything. What happens is the audio is moved all OVER the place, all of the clips are either extended or have a glimpse of a black screen at the end, please please please PLEASE see this, this has happened to me too many times and I can’t take it anymore, it hurts too much to fix everything I’ve worked on again and again when all I want is just to dial the audio on one part down 10%. PLEASE see this.

I used iMovie to edit for a while, but recently it started to crash upon opening it. I edited for 6 hours, I was finally done, but when I go back into it, it won’t let me get my footage and the screen is just gray. When I first got iMovie I used it for aesthetics and it worked amazing. It still does. But then I started using it for slo-motion videos on my iPod. I did a sound where I wanted to slide to the next scene. I managed to get the slide, but even on the fastest setting for the slide it was still slow!! I also think they should add more filters and transitions. Overall, the app is useful and non-confusing, but if there is ever an update, please consider these ideas. Thanks❤️

fix this s***** bug. I had added tons of sound effects to a fight movie, and one crash later, all of it is off and awful! I HATE THIS APP! I tried it al over again! Then THE SAME BUG HAPPENED NOT EVEN 5 MINUTES LATER!!! FIX YOUR APP!!!!!!! IT USED TO WORK AND NOW IT DOENST!

iMovie is one of the best iOS editing apps to use for youtube videos, vlogs, etc... it has not been updated as much as the mac version which unfairly has way more features than the mobile version. I stopped using it because it lacks a variety of editing techniques that could help improve the app such as being able to move text anywhere on the screen, changing the color of text, and adding more fun features to make the video stand out. This also needs more transitions and a time frame in which you can apply them. Thank you for reading, have a great day.

Also can you make it so you don’t have to change every single transition, but instead do multiple. And Mabey not have to have music on iTunes to use it because that is unfair to the people who don’t have any. Good app though, because this is the only one I know that is like it. This part was written at a later date. I have more ideas to add and change. There has to be a tutorial. This is so people can know how to do certain things like save and add two at once. And maybe be able to change all the transitions at once. And another idea, can you add objects so certian things can be easier. And can music also come from amazon music? I got this app about an hour ago and at first I was really excited because my friends told me the app could make movies and trailers! So I knew I had to get it. The first time I uploaded a video, to make a movie, loaded in fine with audio too. When I tried to add another video on to it the audio for that video wasn’t not working for some reason. I tried and tried to figure out how to get the audio back on but it would do anything. So in the end I just deleted it. 😢😠

This stuff takes way to much image and I don’t like it 🤬😡🤬😡

I know editing on a phone won’t do much but I would at least expect for some things. When I have a square image in the project it will only fill to the rectangle shape and cut some of it off only allowing me to use a ken burns effect, which I just want the whole picture, wish the app was better

I love the iMovie app. It’s easy to use and offers a lot of features to make a fun trailer or longer movie. I like that you can use pictures and video from your phone to make the movie and add subtitles. Great app!

iMovie is great, but I noticed that the computer and iPhone has more options than the iPad app. I feel like a lot more people would use the app if there were more options. One flaw is the titles. It sort of bothers me that there are limited things to do with the titles. Maybe make it more interesting?

The editing is great but, i hate how it will cut off part of your video & make it look smaller. Also it saves to your camera roll with these b******** borders. You should make it be able to save it to your phones size.

The app does not save my voice audio for videos I screen record on this is frustrating because it means that I either wasted thirty minutes of my time for useless gameplay or I have to record new audio that doesn’t always fit the video otherwise it is a great app that’s easy to learn to use

I have deleted tons of GBs to try to export a video that’s almost seven minutes but the video just won’t export at all,the bar will just freeze once it’s almost done & I have waited 25 minutes to see if something will happpen,I have been trying many times but it just will not export.

So me and my fried are trying to make a YouTube channel so We decided that we can use iMovie but whenever i try to put the clips together it doesn’t show our audio

So I was trying to use iMovie on my older iPhone, but it won't download at all. It's already on my iPhone 6 but I really need it for my iPhone 5c. I get the pop up that the current version isn't compatible and that I can download a previous version, but it doesn't even download even after 12 hours

My whole project just disappeared! After working so h****** that video!! Now it won’t download to phone. After I guess a certain time frame it will not download. This was my go to app to make videos. Now I have to find another one!? When the video is long it never uploads. Just wasted all your time!!!

Love this app and I use it all the time but I would greatly appreciate a crop video clip option. I often screen record and want to remove the toolbars and extra periphery tools. Currently I use some janky 3rd party app from the App Store that bombards me with ads for a 3 second fix

I am very frustrated with this app. I edited a 7 minute long video (that was the easy part) and when I was done I wanted to save the video to MY phone so I would have it. I tried exporting it and it literally sat for 2 whole days and still wasn’t done exporting or froze up or I don’t know. But it’s ridiculous and I’m trying to keep a Youtube channel running so it’d be nice if Apple would fix this problem. Seems to occur a lot. I understand exporting can take a while but two whole days for a 7 minute video? No way.

iMovie(on iPhone) is a great app. It has some cool features on it. However, I wish there was more, and I wish somethings changed. iMovie on the MacBook has tons of cool features. I know this version is supposed to be a quick on the go app, but I would like to add more things to my videos. For example, more cool music, more text, color for the text, to be able to add pictures without it moving in the video, more cool video effects, etc. Please take this into consideration, as someone that doesn’t have money for a good camera and MacBook:)

Okay so this app is great for editing but I’ve been having a problem I was working on a video and the 2nd day of editing the app does not allow me to edit anymore as soon as I press edit the app crashed and kick of off, only does that with that certain video though not any of my other videos. I make doll videos and I’ve been using iMovie for about a year but when I put recordings in my videos then it goes black at the end and its not cool that I have to keep on restarting my videos

Good app

It has a lot of options, but the app can be very glitchy. Whenever I export a video in HD it always looks really bad and sometimes the editing messes up after exporting. It’s pretty unreliable but has a lot of potential.

This app is great, don’t get me wrong. But I just have one little suggestion. So I use this app with Gacha Studio to make a movie. So I am stringing a lot of screenshots together, and I need to change the transition. This is a really painful process to go through every single one of the transitions and change it, which, mind you, is a whole lot slower because the app slows down with the screenshots. So my idea is that there should be a setting to change all of the transitions at once. I would love this if that could be incorporated in the app. Thanks!

Program kicks me out “every” time and erases all of my selected photos. I have started over numerous times, deleted and reinstalled the app twice and it still happens. I’m so done with this app.

It worked good in the beginning but then after I had finished editing everything it crashed and I couldn’t open it at all. The app crashed everytime I tried to open it and I tried multiple times and even tried opening it different ways. So now I can’t get my footage out of iMovie and lost all my work. I wouldn’t recommend the app unless you want to waste all your time editing something and losing it all. Btw this didn’t just happen to me, it happened to many other people. The only I could thing of to get the app opened is to delete it and get it again. But that would cause all my footage to delete and I would lose it either way. Fix it now.

iMovie is great for editing videos but the only flaw I see is the ability to zoom in on videos. That’s it.

very conflicted because this app was amazing for editing my videos and i love the products i make with it , but i had a video i was so excited to edit, i spent 9 hours editing it, 9 hours straight , i used my entire day off to edit this video and all of a sudden once i had like 13 minutes left of unedited footage to complete i lost it all so i’m so frustrated i wasted all day editing this video i was so proud of and now its gone so kewl 🤪🤩🤠

I love i movie. I use it to edit my ya vids, but, whenever I put my outro/intro in it, the sound doesn’t show, and there aren’t many theme songs to replace the music, neon I the best I can find and I can’t use neon for my intro and my outro, please make it so the music that came with the recordings won’t become muted. I have a iPhone 7 and Imove keeps crashing. It happens the most when the movies need to be downloaded from iCloud. But it crashes alot.

If you try to upload a screen recording video on this app, there is no audio. This needs to be changed or fixed.

Deleted the best video I ever made

Keeps freezing and force closing even attempting to add/ download videos or photos that are stored on iCloud

This app is the most frustrating and disgraceful app I have on my phone. I will spend HOURS editing YouTube videos and if I leave the app for any reason, iMovie just gives me a grey screen and won’t let me edit anything else in my movie. And on top of that, won’t let me save the file either. I don’t know why it’s like this. But is need to be fixed ASAP.

My video I spent hours editing is now showing a blacked out screen whenever I go to edit again. I would just save the video and try re-uploading it but now I can’t even save what I’ve already done. Please help.

I love this app a lot but, I wanted to make a whole video of other videos. So after I made the video I deleted all the other videos. Now the movie isn’t there anymore. I’m very irritated about that.

I used to love IMovie, I used it for every single one of my YouTube videos but now it’s really getting on my last nerve! The app keeps crashing and it’s making it impossible for me to post on YouTube. I had almost finished one of my videos on there and just as I was about to edit the last part of the video the app crashed and I tried going back into it but it wouldn’t let me back into the app! I was soooo mad! I had to delete the app and my almost finished video was gone!🤦‍♀️ I was mad but I didn’t give up, I downloaded the app and AGAIN just as I’m about to finish the last part of the video it crashes!!! It didn’t let me back into the app and now I have to delete it again!! Now I don’t even think I’m going to post a new YouTube video because I’m not about to edit a 25 minute long video again! I only use iMovie to edit and have nothing else to edit on :( I know I can just get cute cut pro or something but I have to pay for that and I don’t even have money for that!

I spent some time on a video. Then I tried deleting something but it didn’t delete. This had happened to me before so I know that this happens. I spent a long time editing to have the app glitch out. When I reload the app. All the recordings are messed up, and I have to fix them.

I love iMovie, but things started happening I couldn’t edit them and said that some of them are being downloaded on ICloud and it has been going on for a month. I can’t even watch them! Whenever I need to watch them everything I made it just shows pitch black instead of it..I thought I was the only one but now I’m reading the reviews and saw someone with the same problem so please FIX IT.

It works well, but there’s certain things that need updating. •The transitions are far too slow, even at the fastest setting. •Speaking of transitions, the selection is sad. Maybe add some different ones?? That’s all I can think of for now.

iMovie is a great way to show creativity, moments, and give laughter. It's mostly bug-free but I think I would like it a little smoother. I also would really like if the CNN movie template was still available. I used it a lot. I think more transitions would be fun to work with too. Other than those things, iMovie is really easy and fun to use! I love it! One other thing: I found an iOS bug. If you have no apps open, open magnifier, then press home, when you double press the home button, the screen blurs. You can press home to stop the bug. It may be small, but just something you might want to know. I understand that this is an unlikely bug scenario. Hope you can fix this in iOS 12, or better, in 11.4.3.

Does what it was made for but poorly. I'm running iPhone 6s plus with iOS 11.4 and I seem to be running into common bugs. First off the audio file transfer needs fixing. I go to import a file and when it opens the app, the project I'm working on isn't there. But when I keep retrying it finally shows up. I edit Around 2-10 minute videos and since that makes the timeline longer I have to zoom in and out on it. When I do so it offsets the sound and video in the timeline making me have to fix it wasting time in the process. If all of that is fixed I will totally rate better and use more often

I’ve tried to fix the audio when iMovie glitches out and fix it every time until I try and export it and iMovie messes the audio up again. Wouldn’t recommend this by any stretch even to share on Facebook or YouTube.

I love this app and I make lots of videos with it. But when I try to use the neon theme music for one specific spot I can’t. If I split it and press delete, it deleted all of it or stays. There’s no way I can use neon music unless it’s for the whole video.

I don’t even think my app works... I don’t know but i have the 7 plus and I tried to follow the simple steps in the information circle on how to select clips and move them around in a video, which all you have to do is press and hold down the clip you want to move and wait for it to appear above the rest of your video then move it where you want it... well I kept trying to do this and the entire video just kept bouncing back to the first clip of the video. I became very annoyed and just quit trying to figure it out. According to a lot of the reviews, the app needs to be updated so maybe that’s the problem. I was hoping I would be able to use this app with no problems because I wanted to start a YouTube channel and my phone is all I have to use. I’m not disappointed because there’s always another way but I’m highly annoyed.

I enjoy using this app, it helps me with my YouTube videos especially when it’s a short one. You could add a greenscreen though or maybe add keyframing. But overall it’s very simple and great for editing.

This is probably my favorite mobile video editing tool for combining my clips and pictures into a video. But having used the Mac version of iMovie, I hope and pray that we will get optimization’s to match that of the Mac version. Because as of now we are quite limited in the editing tools, and transitions, etc. with a version much like Mac, i could make videos on the go while also keeping a pristine professional look to my videos. So I ask, please change your layout and additions to that of the Mac.

I’m actually getting very fed up with iMovie now. Almost every time I try to export my project when I’m finished it crashes and doesn’t let me save it. I know it’s not my phone or my storage, because I still have a lot of it, I just think it’s the app. I’m so close to deleting it, but I really don’t want to. When iMovie works, I love it so much and it’s very useful to me.

The app continuously crashes for no reasons and messes up the alignment of music to video. I have to move every single frame back to match the beat of the song, which is incredibly tedious. It’s a major set back especially since I’m making video projects for school.

As much as I want to love this app it’s annoyingly that via YouTube. I can upload videos longer then 15mins. Via my computer. But from this app it is blocking me to 15mins. I’m a verified partner via YouTube and this is hindering me updating content to my channel. Please fix this!! Or I will delete the app and go with a other one that will work better.
