They have streamlined news access. It is a joy to use. Features like asking about downloads and allowing deletion of old issues, while not new are readily seen and used. Downloaded puzzle pages can be saved for use on your ipad or print to take with you. They have thought through what parts of the app they can make user friendly. Content does not overly favor the slant you see too much of stateside-just the news. Journalism is about reporting, not bias. Idealistic and perhaps, naive, yes, probably. Thank you!

Bought subscription by app in iTunes. Won’t give me content or any articles at all. Waste of money.

I enjoy reading the paper and I subscribe to the paper through iTunes in-app subscriptions. However, when clicking on articles in the app that open to a webpage (County Cricket round up for example) I can’t access those articles more than 2 a month. There should be a way to access these articles for users who subscribe via in-app purchase.

I have been charged for weekly subscription but the app keeps saying I have not paid. Pretty poor

Persistent problems renewing my subscription. It says I’ve paid for it then can’t download. As good as it is - not worth the frustration.

What have you done to the Times? The typeface is huge even at its smallest. It no longer looks like a newspaper on a screen, it looks like something you read in an internet browser. Give me back the old format.

The greatest strength of The a times is is brevity particularly when compared to The NY Times. I can whistle though the app and get caught up on all important news items with the flick of the wrist. App sometimes crashes lately but I'm sure it will get sorted.

App is working well. Occasional subscription issues, but each time I contact Times they are right back with an answer. Maybe iTunes fault not Times.

I been the times for 8 years or so. It is the best it keep improving with each passing year. I could not recommend it enough everyone should have this digital paper.

I have more problems with this APP than all my others combined. Every time they do an update, you know you won't be able to get the paper afterwards. There have been bugs in this software for literally years. The paper is awesome and the columnists are world-class - otherwise I suspect everyone would give up on them!

I've used been a Times e-paper subscriber for a number of years and seen it evolve over the years to a mature platform that is easy to navigate, share and save articles. I subscribe to a number of e-paper platforms and The Times currently has the best usability.

When people ask "where I am from", I tell them that I "grew up" in Bovingdon Herts. So, from the "Colonies" where I now live I love reading the Times to keep in touch with the country I love AND for balanced, in depth stories. THANK YOU

As a traveling American, I view The Times as providing consistently substantive news and commentaries, that best reflect the thoughts and trends of the UK society. This app has been a welcome addition to my desktop and other Apple utensils. Especially, when I want to prioritize what is “really” happening in the world.

Being able to read the Times whilst living in the U.S is fabulous. It's well worth the subscription money but does take a bit of getting used to, it's not that user friendly, especially for my mum, in her 70's and only just bought herself an iPad. But, all in all, I cherish this app!

The app will no longer download content. Will be calling to ask for for my subscription fees back.

I have been a digital subscriber of The Times since the first. It has been wonderful to see the evolution of the digital format to the great platform it is today! A industry standard so far as I am concerned. A mark for others to reach.

What is going on? I can't see the content I'm paying for. It keeps telling me I need to subscribe but even when I tried to subscribe again it fails. This has been going on for over a week now. How do they not have it resolved?

I live in the US and, after the NY TIMES I turn immediately to THE TIMES for my U.K. and world news. The journalism is excellent, the graphics first class and the delivery unfailingly good.

Been very poor for last two weeks. Downloaded update today hoping it would solve problem instead just frozen on Wednesday edition and won't let me do anything. Will be cancelling

UK expat: I read it every morning. It's been a wonderfully laid out app for years; the content is voluminous, and it's beautifully accessible via the cleverly done index; far more, say, than the Washington Post.

Very bad, very sad. Have left and gone to The Telegraph. Really upset - this used to be the best and now it is the worst. So sorry. Please test before you launch something like this.

I purchased a $19.99 subscription (one month). It worked for about 5 days then it stopped working. I checked by Newsstand App subscriptions, which shows that my subscription is “ACTIVE” and will expire on June 5 (when it will renew). Well, it is only May 10, and I have no access to the London Times. Why? I don’t know. There is no way to get help to fix this. So, my subscription trickles away and I am out 25 days on a 30 day subscription. (Anytime I launch the Times app from Newsstand, I am told that I do not have a subscription. Yet, my account info, from where I manage my subscription, says I do).

Complicated subscription. Just shuts down when it expires without warning. Constantly shuts down while running when are they going to get this right…….

I often share the articles, love Peter Brookes and Morton Morland. It would be great to link the Red Box to the online app too.

terrific app and can scroll easily while the categories are not a "secret" either. straightfwd app which nicely integrates the newspaper attributes via digital without stripping out the former. i do very much miss the separate Sports app which i could access daily. 😢

You won't get your hands dirty and you'll get all the contents of the paper edition and much more. Despite some glitches it usually downloads relatively fast and smoothly. Moreover available 24/7.

Wouldn't give it one star, if possible ... latest version blocks access, requiring update; app store indicates latest version installed, but hitting 'open' returns to demand for an update. The Times charges enough for their content (which they then fail to deliver) ... someone needs to hire professionals for app development rather than trying to save a few pounds by employing amateurs. Could someone at Apple please intervene on behalf of their customers?

Can not access editions. Have been a long time subscriber, but am about to part ways. The subscription is expensive and should not be having these issues.

The iTunes app is not recognized by the times app, for 2 months I have paid a monthly subscription and the times app still says I have no valid subscription. This is fraudulent representation by both apple and the times with no means if gaining a refund or compensation. I expected better of both organizations

i'm still not happy I have to download everything but the response to this is gotten much better and overall this app is much better than it was years ago ago

I love The Times and all the editions. I live in America and wish I lived in England. Apparently. The app is superb. I recommend it.

For more than a week now, the issue will not download. Very disappointing. Will be cancelling.

Latest release (Dec 20) won't load any content. @TheTimes - don't set up a paywall and sell content/app if you don't know how to QA your apps. Once you find out a release has failed - roll it back, don't leave it out there. Terrible technology management.

The app is updated to latest version, but for months it WILL NOT DOWNLOAD NEW EDITIONS. The Times have no useful way to help, and Apple don't seem to care either. WHAT A COMPLETE LOAD OF GARBAGE!!

Really like The Times - read it every day - Like the supplements too on Fri/Sat/Sun. BUT, I wish I could watch the sport videos - I can't as not in UK.. Really frustrating!!

The video clips and the chess column no longer function interactively I subscribe to both the daily and the Sunday editions and have informed the times of this situation but have not received a reply
