Before you can even blink a subscription is required. Why even call it a free app? Come on...

Ever since the update to Newsstand was made available, I've been unable to install. It keeps giving an "ITunes store not available" error which isn't true because other Apps install without a problem.

I don't even own this and it's telling me to update

I don't know if this is a marketing ploy or what, but it's VERY ANNOYING to see an update in my "app store" and I never downloaded this app. I'm frustrated I can't remove the reminder.

Price increase

The price for a 6 month subscription is going from 30 bucks to $170, and while I don't object to a price increase over time, such an extreme increase is absurd. I won't be renewing my subscription.

Had the app for over a year. Not a week goes by when at least one edition doesn't download. Very disappointed.

Good potential, failed delivery

The format and design of this app is high quality, and if they would address a few major flaws it has a chance to be a stellar digital newspaper. But first of all, the inquirer needs to settle on just one digital version. Having this, which is not the full newspaper and requires a special paid subscription, and then the digital replica edition, which is visually not nearly as appealing but comes with a paid print subscription, is just stupid. Stick with one, and use it. This app's format is the one they should stick with, and then work out the bugs. The major, major, fatal flaw in this app in my experience is the fact that it simply does not load many days. I am paying for a subscription that I only can access maybe 1/3 of the time. When I tap on the day's edition that I want to read, I get nothing but a black screen. I'm sure a simple update can fix this, but they need to dedicate the resources to make this work right - I know they're limited, but these are the investments you have to make if you want to not only survive but thrive in this digital age as a traditional newspaper. If this app worked properly and if this were the design they used for their full content and got rid of this ridiculous idea of having two separate inquirer apps, then the Inquirer stands a chance of being one of the better digital newspapers available. They could promote this app as a serious option for iPad users who want to keep up with a strong second tier, major market newspaper. If the Inquirer fails to keep up in this transforming digital age, they will have themselves to blame. Get with it, because this app, for all of its flaws, has potential. It just needs a little TLC, some real dedication from the organization, and a truly fine app could be developed here. Here's hoping they do, because as it stands, only being able to access 1/3 of the editions, I have no intention of renewing my subscription

The New York Times provides full access to the comparable iPad app at no extra cost for full subscribers to the print version. The Inquirer charges print subscribers full price for access to this app. The NY Times is a much better value for people who travel often.

Why would I subscribe without even seeing what the interface is like or how articles come up? All you see after downloading is a splash page.
