Reviewed on 8/28/19 1:32 PMI’m a new user. This app gave me access to the article I wanted to read. However, I found it very odd that I had to read it it like I was looking at a picture of the actual printed newspapers page. So, I cannot just search for a keyword, only for magazines, and then I have to know which date my article was published next issue is not all papers are included. and there isn’t a way to suggest new magazines as dar as I can see. I’m still an “unregistered” user even though I’m a subscriber and nowhere does it say the benefit of registration so looking for scientific magazines (I had Quanta Magazine in mind describing quantum phenomena to the public) or medical journals (Like Journal of Alzheimer’s disease) will not be fruitful

Now, to get each day’s issue, I have to go to “Publications”, wade through all of the newspaper choices, find today’s Times, and tap on it. This is worse than inconvenient. Sometimes you list something for download that isn’t even available yet, like The NY Times Sunday Book Review. Tapping it just produces a “Not Available yet” notice. Let's not to get too gaga about iOS functions (Reading aloud) which PressReader leverages; yes it is well-integrated with iOS & yes, you can have it read articles to yourself. As a single-paid-subscription reader, I'm a bit annoyed by the app trying to get me to read other publications, both during setup & use (tho the latter can be turned off in settings). I keep downloads organized by issue/date, & so find the Library to be messy (so minus 1 *). Reviewed on 1/7/18 3:30 PMOverall a good app, and it’s easy to use. Only frustration is that the login for my local library frequently does not work and I have to log out and log back in to download newspapers. Hopefully it’s a bug that will be fixed in a future update

Reviewed on 1/3/18 10:52 AMIt works on Apple iPad very well but not well on Microsoft surface pro 4 . I have tried to interact with tech support without success. They refuse a phone call and seem not to care. I should make clear that I use it only for the N Y Times.

Reviewed on 1/13/19 12:36 PMI am not impressed with this app at all. It just makes things that should be straightforward and easy unnecessarily difficult. I do a search on a new device for a periodical I have been receiving for years on an older one, and the search turns up nothing. I wish to de-authorize one device so that I can authorize another and I can’t do that without getting tech support from my organization (the website won’t let me sign in on my computer so I can do so myself. Instead it tells me that my email and/or password are “incorrect” - which they are not). Just a bunch of unnecessarily complicated nonsense! Also, the app has an icon badge which is not self-explanatory. I wish I knew what it signified. Is it the number of periodicals I am supposed to receive (because that does not seem accurate)? The number of issues available for download? (because that doesn’t seem accurate either). What?! I tried opening all my periodicals to see if that would get the icon to it would go away or change, but it didn't. So an explanation of its significance would be nice. With many publications piling up I would appreciate a feature that could instantly put them in chronological order, for finding issues more easily, but there doesn’t seem to be such a feature. Honestly, if I did not need to use this app out of necessity, I would have deleted it long ago.
