As a Snowbird spending the winter in Florida I have found the NBC News: New York application to be Indispensable in keeping current with the metropolitan news indispensable in keeping current with the Metropolitan news. The application provides current breaking news and weather notifications. It is also easy to navigate so that I can read and see videos of the stories that are most interesting to me.

If you think about the most important thing on a day like today when severe weather is predicted, it is that the videos on this app work. Oh yeah he advertisement videos play away over and over but the videos of the forecast and related severe weather all say “data error” and do not play. It is unacceptable to release and not regularly update the app to fix this problem. It should not have been released with these “data errors”. And I have the latest computer with all the bells and whistles. I do not have this “data error” with any other app.

Downloaded this app with the specific intent of watching the St. Patrick’s Day parade today that my son is marching in. The app gave me nothing but repeat the commercials for Honda and Zyrtec. if you say you’re going to live stream you should make sure that it works. Really annoying I wasted 45 minutes hoping that each time I reloaded that it would work properly and lo and behold and just replayed the same commercials over and over again. This is really sad and embarrassing for whomever is in charge of this. The app is poorly laid out, hard to navigate, and obviously doesn’t work as advertised. And as an added bonus, the app never Exit properly. Are usually have to swipe up and hard close the app instead of being able to back out and move on to something else.

Very informative about the whole world’s events and local weather even though I live in Ohio.

As someone new to NYC, I find this the most informative way to learn about what is happening, the weather, and urgent news.

This app gives me the local news and weather in this area. Just what need.

This app is okay. Sometimes when you try to go on the app shows a blank screen. Once on the app it is easy to move through different areas. I just hope someone is attempting to update the app.

I have only this App for a few days. So far it is meeting my needs. I got the App primarily for weather. I have location services set for this APP So I am able to forecasts local to my town. The radar is good, allowing me to zoom in. In addition to weather, I have used the App to follow local sports team. The news portion of the App is also good, but so far I haven’t spent a lot of time on the news portion of the site. So far, I find the App easy to use with no problems. I am giving the App a four star rating because I have only used the App for a few days.

I frequently travel especially to New York City and downloaded this app to keep tabs on daily weather report, traffic, road closures and local news. Since then, I kept the app even back at my hometown In Hawaii because it sends important news directly to my iPhone lock screen and just swipe right from the lock screen to view the article easily. Now I’m vacationing in Japan and I immediately heard of news back in U.S. The app is easy to use, just download it and allow notification when it prompt you at setup. You can have news you can use and be aware of what’s happening in the world. It only does push notification on top stories so it’s not too much notification. Thank you for the app, keep up the good work!

This apo used to be great. Now its horrible. The playback for the weather report in the morning never works anymore.

Great content and UX. Everything from local, national, to weather. Love the weather notification each morning. Often tells me about interesting headlines that weren’t on my radar.

Just started using this app and love the weather feature! The big red sweep is super accurate and a laundry life saver.

I love my NYC news even when I'm in Florida. Check it all the time.

Nice to be able to stay in touch with hometown news when traveling. It's always up to date and the videos always work as does live streaming.

Too bad, since millions have purchased this device already. When viewing a photo gallery, the screen above and below the images turns black. The button to return to the previous screen is situated in the upper left ‘horn’ on the screen, but has no functionality when pressed. In order to continue using other functions of the app, one can only force-shut the app and restart - very inconvenient. Thanks funky dev team for looking into this.

I love this app because I do not always have time to watch the latest news and happenings. I can always catch up on everything I miss by tuning in to my NBC NY app. Thanks for having something for the “too busy”people, and thanks for a slew of truth speaking reporters, a rare commodity these days .

Really pleased reading all the accurate breaking news that you provide. I get a weather forecast every day at 7:00 am and alerts for important events that affect our area. I highly recommend your app and very glad that your providing such good reporting to our community.

I love being able to keep up with news from my home. I moved away a few years ago and always like to keep up with things happening in New York and this app is perfect. There are a few glitches from time to time but overall it is my link to New York.

Love NBC but this app crashes constantly, especially when connected to Chromecast

Great help on weather radar!

We lived on the Upper West Side for many years, we enjoyed this station for the reportage of what was happening there. This was / is very helpful. We have since moved upstate and are enjoying it thanks to this app we can continue to.

Possibly the best channel in the tri state area, NBC has it covered with news coverage at convenient times and entertainment for everyone in my home. My Tv is always on NBC. From Lester Holt, Savanah, Hoda & Kathy Lee, Natalie P, Jimmy Fallon, Ellen, David Ushery and Chuck, my news and entertainment is covered by the best in the industry. Those mentioned don’t just inform and entertain, they are in my home presenting to me and my family. They are so good at their craft and that’s the way TV personalities should be. I truly love NBC, I feel I have a friend in this channel by always having it on, no matter what I am doing NBC is great company to have. Thanks buddy!!!

Videos never load all the way, or at all. When they do, they sometimes close out unexpectedly. I have had this app for a few years, and although it has made some improvements, it continues to be the app on my phone with the most bugs. Please fix soon.

This app is seamlessly easy to use. It also provides me news and weather notifications locally and when I’m out of town. At one point I could see my local news NBC NY while out of town now that’s changed. Other than that its a great app.

It needs to add Google Cast feature.

Great up to date info on lates news events in NYC

The app is the only way now to watch the local news and screen mirror it to an Apple TV and have it full screen on the TV now with the release of iOS 12 on an iPad. Previously we did it with Safari and the link to NBC's website.

Excellent app ... weather is great, news videos are good for both local and national issues. I like being able to keep up with my home base no matter where I am.

I use this app only for weather. Like the interactive radar feature a lot. News is good just not my only source but is the main source for NYC news. Highly recommend it.

Wants to watch the tree lighting and hit the “watch live”bar. It brings me to the App Store to update. I updated it and all I got after that is a generic, don’t have the app go to the App Store” screen. So much for watching the tree!

I was looking for a decent weather app. This turned out to be the best weather app I ever used plus a very good news app all rolled up together. The weather app is an excellent radar function that updates frequently and gives a good hourly and ten day overview. It offers a video of the weather forecast if you want to see and hear a channel 4 weather person "talk" about the weather as they do on television. And it's more than that.... download it for free and try it. I deleted other similar apps after I got this one.... Franklin L. Westwood , NJ

Main purpose I downloaded the app was for weather, love the radar. But also a great app to stay in touch with day events. More than meet my needs.

I got the app to check weather , here and when I travel . Up to date news and topics options are a bonus . One of the better news apps absolutely !

When the weather map loads, it’s great but on days like today when the weather is bad, it is not loading!!! All my other weather apps are loading. I sign out, close all my open tabs and still didn’t load. So much for live weather map!
