You could search the wide web over, and never find a source whose journalistic pretence is more laughable.

The Apple version of this app is an extraordinary fail compared to Android. The Android app has more channels which are much easier to navigate, you can swipe through all of them from left to right, there's more channels and it has a dark mode. Why have you dropped the ball with the Apple app? Such a disappointment, as it's my favorite app on Android.

This site is BS. It used to be better but it has gone to s$&@. They encourage a completely manipulatable arrow system for comments- that are either highly censored by the site (if you disagree with the article you probably won’t get your comment posted) or highly manipulated by trolls. Conversations should be encouraged about the news- not controlled and limited and curated to look as if they people are only talking about certain things. I believe in free speech and good journalism- this site keeps both from you.

Part of what makes the DM good is the feisty community of characters who post comments. They are quick to call out ‘hacks from Australia’, but cry when there is a touching human/animal interest story. I love that it’s world wide and we all see a broad swath of opinions.

Useless app. Can only view a few articles per month before requiring a subscription. Go to their website and view as many as you like. Therefore, an utterly useless app.

Always sensored, even when why say they are not monitored. A constant lie. Liberal leaning. Garbage.

Crashes constantly. Super annoying

App works well for me consistently, but have heard multiple reports that it crashes regularly for friends. The typos in the articles have improvED SIGNIFICANTLY over the last two years.

I love this app and read news on it daily. Recently, I keep being directed to download apps that are being advertised without clicking on the ads. It is happening so frequently that I decided to switch to another news ad.

The daily mail is awful. There are countless spelling and grammar mistakes and the information is almost akin to a gossip rag. The lack of editorial review is astounding.

Terrible app that drains your battery and crashes. The writing by the “so called” journalists is atrocious! I wonder if they even have proof readers. It seems to be more of a National Enquirer type of paper with all the silly celebrity stories. Forget about commenting as they moderate and delete comments and ban people from posting. Then again it’s a British site and they don’t have the same freedom of speech we have in the USA. I’ll go back to my American sites that at least allow us freedom of speech. Makes you glad to be American to have the freedoms that we do!!

Sadly this was initially a great news app with terrific stories. But i will be deleting today because every other story is pro-Trump and very right wing. I assume Murdoch has something to do with it.

Well, I used to enjoy this app but aside from the annoying App ads that too easily get clicked and take you to the Apple App Store... once that happens, you get involuntarily and repeatedly taken to the App Store to all kinds of other apps. Boo hiss. iPhone SE w latest iOS

I love DM, and I’ve commented on many articles throughout the years. Yet, today is the 2nd time, in about a month, I have been banned (for life) from commenting with no explanation given, whatsoever. I can be opinionated, but I do not curse, or personally insult others. I see many commenters get away with offenses like these all the time, btw. I’m done. This is a s***** move on their part, as they really were my favorite online paper. I checked this app regularly, everyday. NO MORE. I’m deleting it. I encourage anyone else who is against the recent rise of censorship, in Western nations, to do the same. The moderators must not like my politics. That’s been getting people banned from various platforms. I’m not one-sided. In fact, I’m very open-minded, but I am Libertarian. This is still too far right (I guess)? #StopTheBias

Despite the frequent, annoying editing & proofreading mistakes (misspellings, repeated sentences/paragraphs, etc) and the sensationalist headlines that border on tabloid, the daily was my preferred news app because it broke news faster than any of the other well known news sources. To my surprise, the daily mail would usually report details that other news sources that took other trusted news sites hours or even days to report. After trying out numerous other news apps, the daily mail shortly became my go-to news app. I would also find the comments amusing too, if I could ignore the politically charged comments. However, I noticed that my new iPhone started crashing & running hot recently. It would only happen when I would use the app. So I deleted & my phone was fine for weeks. Redownloaded the app & the same issues persisted. Too bad, because I did enjoy the fast breaking news updates. And I hate to say it, but I did actually get used to the tabloid aspect of the headlines. The info inside articles turned out to be as accurate as all the major networks, so I can forgive them for that. Fix your app, Daily Mail. I’ve run tons of apps on my phone for work, utility & recreation. None have ever gave me any issues. I don’t understand how a news app can demand so much battery & ram usage??

Ads constantly appear consecutively and even when closed, open back up again. It’s impossible to even read an article. What happed?

I was a member for the last 4 years and recently received a permanent ban from posting without so much as a warning or what I said that triggered them. I would suggest to others if you do visit this site that it is loaded with clickbait and be prepared to be banned if you do not agree with their story.

This app get articles wrong with misinformation The way a lot of the articles are written creates a lot of bias and hatred, should have deleted this garbage a long time ago. Now I am. Sick of reading your pumped up negativity.

Sometimes going on the app ads just continue to pop up . Also lots of grammar problems. But other wise good .

I don’t know who I need to tell my story to yet but I am in the process of exposing DM ‘s anti-conservative vendetta. Fake News DM banned my account because I dare to offer a different point of view. As Google and FB now face investigation over conservation discrimination so should DM. If any of you are in the same situation, I suggest you report DM to the proper authorities in order for it to answer for discriminatory practices.

Trump hating fake news, otherwise it's just okay.

I’ve enjoyed the App for a while, but recently multiple pop ads on the iPad App make it almost impossible to read articles. Even once dismissed, the Ad keeps on popping up. Also, the App will automatically pops up videos as you scroll through the article...repeatedly even after you reject/close the pop up. Auto playing videos is turned off on settings. Revenue from frustrating Ads Pop-ups won’t matter, if people stop using the App.

I’ve been a reader of Daily Mail for a long time. Through the constant and numerous editing errors, misleading headlines, mislabeled photos, spelling errors etc, I stuck with DM because they typically get news out fast. There has been a steady decline in quality of due to over sensationalizing of headlines just to get clicks and the ever-creeping left leaning slant. I was recently banned from posting in the comments section because I gave a comment that was right leaning and in contrast to the leftist movement. No cursing, name-calling, etc. just a different opinion. This has been ongoing, as posts are moderated when they say they aren’t being moderated as well. Yet far left leaning, vicious, nasty comments are allowed through without fail, some that are spamming every post with the same nasty comments. If you are looking for a far left viewpoint that shuts down diversity of opinion and allows only those that agree with the progressive agenda, this is your app. If you want an app and news site that gives neutral, opinion-free news and believes in diversity of opinion and allows both sides to present their views, definitely look elsewhere.

This app was everything to me, now it automatically loads videos, smut, junk. Knock it off. You’re worse than MySpace

Every few articles I have to tap the blue bar at the bottom that says “more”. Then the next section never stays displayed and it pops back to the beginning section of articles. So annoying that I hate to read mail online.

Less celebrity gossip and more hard news. Your fotograhy is first rate but lately less news and more rita ora or other z list celebs seem to be online.when you do cover hard news it is outstanding,

Porn keeps popping up and it keeps taking me to the app store to download things I don't want.

Left wing biased news outlet that not so long ago portrayed a very fair and middle of the road view of the World that took a stance against biased editorials plaguing this industry today. Sadly those days are over and it’s fair to even suggest that the editorial staff cannot resist the opportunity to race bait, even when the occasion doesn’t merit it.

The page is constantly freezing and will not unfreeze until I shut down the phone.

I am in the US and like this paper because it reports news that US media do not. The spelling and grammar are atrocious!! They constantly repeat sentences and even paragraphs. They don’t seem to check their own work or have an editor to do so, either. They hurl insults or write propaganda about people and things they do not like. They are obsessed with telling us how much celebrities (and others) cars, houses, clothing and jewels cost. But, the very worst part is how they stridently suppress reader’s comments. They have a nonsensical list of words or phrases that will keep your comment from being posted. And, they don’t tell you what they are. And, they block many readers from making ANY comments, but do not tell them WHY. All of this is very frustrating, since we actually WANT to read their news page. Time to hire some grown up, trained reporters and a copywriter editor!

What the h*** happened with this app???? Pop ups non stop, you can't even read the stories because of the pop ups. This app used to be so much better now it's garbage. I hope you fix this or I'm uninstalling.

So, DM is a rag. Plenty of freshly uploaded content, but I’m convinced that the articles are written by non-English speakers; I would even guess the words are recorded and then transcribed by a non-English speaker, because typos, poor grammar and words inserted without proper context are common. I doubt articles are proofread, but if I happen to read a well-written article, I’m sure to mention it in the comments. If you’re looking for pictures of awards shows or the royal family, DM does a pretty good job there. What annoys me about their picture captions is that it’s the exact same verbiage in the article, with the same typos and incorrect wording. Often, you don’t have to read the article; flip through the pictures and read the captions. Another annoying aspect of the site is that videos start playing on the lower right if you scroll past it. I’ve tried looking for an opt-out feature, to no avail. If an article has several videos, I’m always clicking the X as I scroll to make it go away. Bloody annoying. Stop forcing this feature!!! Don’t take any information you read on DM as gospel. If you see an intriguing headline, get the gist from DM and go to a reputable news site for confirmation.

Fix app freezes and crashes

Stop the annoying add popping up in front of article.

I’ve used this app for a while but lately there has been ad after ad after ad. Not just scattered throughout the articles, but these actually take you out of the app and into the App Store to show you an advertised app. You don’t even have to click on anything. It just takes over your phone. If you go back to the Daily Mail app, three seconds later, it’s taking you back to the App Store again to show you a different app. This will happen over and over and over until you get get frustrated and close the app. What good is it if you can’t even read the articles you got it for? Will be deleting this app and NEVER coming back

I love MailOnline and prefer getting my news from it. However, I ignored complaints about the pop-up ads which frankly have me concerned a virus may have downloaded onto my phone. I mean at one point the ads were so intrusive they rendered the app unusable. I’ve since deleted the app.

I can’t even read an article. The pop ups just keep looping. Even when I watch the entire AD!!!!!! Used to be my favorite....now I’m deleting. Way to use your followers Dailymail!

Used to be a great news app but has become unbearable. Basically regurgitated internet dribble and no real reporting. Journalism is dead in the UK as well as the US.

Mail online is great .... but it keeps freezing and the adds won’t stop . Frustrating

This has been my favorite news app but lately it freezes SEVERAL times ALL the time. Not sure what is going on. I’ve uninstalled it then reinstalled and it continues to happen. So very annoying & is virtually unable to utilize it!

No other app drains my battery like this one. After 20 minutes, my phone is heated and 40% of the battery is gone.

All of a sudden this app keeps freezing. I can’t even read one article without freezing.

Long time reader.. A fun read but last couple days my app just freezes and crashes.. I cannot even read one article..

Never had this happen until about a week ago. Pick a story to read and all of a sudden I can’t scroll up or down. Can’t back out much of the time either. Very frustrating, and have deleted app, bringing it back but no luck getting rid of the issue.

New version continuously open to other apps to be downloaded.

This app is so crappy. It used to run nice and smoothly. Now it just freezes up, pauses and then shuts down. Frustrating especially when trying to read a story because when you reopen the app it starts you right back at the beginning of the news stories. Dumb.

What is up with all the ads now? Never was an issue up until yesterday. Now I can’t read one article before being sent to the App Store. Delete!

Stopped using because I couldn’t even read an article without it sending me to the App Store. Try to go back to this app and it sends me immediately back to App Store with a different app suggested. It did it 6 times in a row within a few seconds. Makes the app unusable. Going to hold on to this for a little bit to see if they fix it. If they don’t, it’s getting deleted.

I will tap on a 34 sec video and would have to watch a 30 sec video! Why? I don’t even watch the videos no more I’ll have to google the videos and watch them that way. I don’t be having time to watch an ad that I’m not interested in just to watch a video that’s as long as the ad. But overall the daily mail is a good news source for the world I love it but just not the ad.

This updated app keeps crashing. Unable to use it.

News article are often headlined like facts and often turn out to be biased opinions with no basis in reality or provable sources. Some articles are good and interesting, even funny at times. Some are even truthful. But anymore the majority of articles are left wing propaganda click bait, more like something you would find in a tabloid. They needs moderator for the articles like they have for the comments.

Daily Mail is a huge name and I am extremely disappointed in this app for all the glitches. All the glitches range from shutting down to freezing while in this app. Come on Daily Mail you are better than this garbage app. How can I rely on their news reporting if they can even get their app to work?! Not that hard to get right!

I like Daily Mail, but I don’t like the adds/videos that continue to pop up 5 times in a row. They take over the screen when I’m reading an article. As of late the app has also been freezing and causing my other apps not to operate. I hope this is fixed soon.

Opinion pieces are fine, but DM is constantly pushing leftist opinionated headlines and writing “news” about how much they don’t like trump or conservatives. Quit publishing opinions disguised as facts. Vary rarely is anything not published without a spin. They get one extra star because they usually post stories with lots of pictures, versus other journalist sites who might give two, and they sometimes have good infographics with some big stories. Most of their stories are shallowly researched and there are always a ton of spelling errors.

I normally enjoy this app several times a day. I like how the content is frequently updated. For some reason today, this app’s ads for Shutterfly are forcing the App Store to open to the Shutterfly app and it is impossible to stop it recurring. So, I have to close the app and move on to others. I am confident that this violates Apple’s App Store terms, so I hope they catch it soon and spank this developer and Shutterfly. 😠 No app should ever execute ANY function unless I authorize such action‼️

Keeps freezing up

If you’re looking for actual news, keep looking, this isn’t it. The national enquirer is more accurate. The kids writing this garbage will grow up some day and realize that they made a mistake working for them.

So many bots that if you just write “bot” you will get a huge majority of red arrows. The bots have targeted the word bot. Geez. Daily mail is such a rag that they don’t even care

As i said the content is great, but the app has alot of bugs, from freezing to completely dumping you out and have to log in again. Pretty frustrating on the ipad. And man it uses a tonne of your battery.

This app has been freezing constantly for me almost every time I get on app. It’s gotten to the point where I can’t even read an article. Thought it might be something wrong with my phone, so I powered it off, got the new update etc. Turns out after reading all the other recent reviews im not the only person that this is happening to. Fix it ASAP. DM is my fav):

This app has never been great in terms of running smooth without freezing up or crashing, but since I’ve gotten the iPhone XR- I cant even get through more than two articles before it freezes. It doesn’t “unfreeze” either.

Love this app

I’m about to trash this app. With whatever update that just happened it constantly opens the App Store when I’m on an article.

DM always has interesting stories, mostly of current events and mayhem. Their World War Two stories are great. The only flaw, for this American, is the too-many stories on the Royals and their left slant. But I enjoy the site a lot
