Too many ads for years. Now you have to pay on top of being bombarded with ads. ST is just too greedy for content that is just not that good. I wish you could give it zero stars.

I just bought a yearly subscription and it was very easy to subscribe and create an account. Thank you for anticipating my media needs!!

This App version has pop-up ads that refuse to go away making it impossible to read most articles. TOTALLY USELESS!

It works, news delivered, however this is a weak app, of course the price is right. Also it is hard to find current news, because the popular stories stay up for days sometimes with little change.

I have a dozen news apps on my iPad. This is by far the worst news app of the bunch. Cumbersome to navigate. Lead story of the printed edition is not the lead story of the app. Not much "new" news every day. Just repeat of previous news. I only have to read once a week to get the week's news. Agree with other reviewers, the advertising is extremely intrusive and not professionally thought out. Wish I could get my local Fort Worth news somewhere else, but can't. And they know it and charge way too much for what you get.

I HATE that the new version of the app takes readers to a web site in a browser to see the facsimile of the actual newspaper. That wastes a third of the screen with browser functionality. The older versions of the app were much more seamless. Perhaps this way they can waste more of the reader’s time closing pop up ads that further clog the screen??

I can’t believe how challenging it is to develop a basic app that works consistently. Obviously the Star-Telegram has not invested in its own product. Whoever designed this app had absolutely no clue what they were doing. That of course is my opinion. I’m tired of logging in and being logged out; I’m tired of being told I don’t have an account when I do; I’m tired of not being able to follow up on any article. I’m also really tired of trying to find anything that is timely. This app brings up articles that are two and three days old. Perhaps I’m not actually looking at a news document but instead a historical archives document. I’m also frustrated that in order to use this app I must have an active Facebook account. This is not a good value for somebody who cares about balanced media.

FWST writers share a fans perspective and ask and answer topics that are on the fans minds. Only improvement would be to be more objective in evaluating performance of Rangers Mgr and GM. Especially when comments about not trying to win it all this year comes from GM. Would he have arrogantly said that if vote for new stadium financed by tax payers hadn’t already been approved? CMon Man! You can and should do better reporting and holding people accountable as your readers deserve it.

This app is so frustrating. Logging in is always hit and miss. Today, I cannot get the e-edition view. I use this app so that I can efficiently read the newspaper on my iPad. The app take the efficiency out of it. By the time I spend time trying to get the app to work, I am so frustrated that I have lost interest and run out of time.

It would be great if you could report issues with delivery through the app.

The whole reason I got this was for the coupons. -I have to sign in each time I open the app instead of our automatically logging in like most apps. -One in I can't find where the coupons are ; which is the ONLY REASON I bought into this crap. -So not worth $11/mo The guy selling this got one over on me. You lost me as a customer for life. Well done Star Telegram

This paper has the best spirts coverage around especially football. That’s why I read it.

This review is not necessarily about the app itself but Star-Telegram as a whole. As the major news media of Fort Worth you would think its writers and reporters would be more supportive and pro-Fort Worth. However, all you will read are articles bashing Fort Worth and how it should become more like this city or that city, especially articles by Bud Kennedy. I’m tired of this trolling and bulling of one of the greatest and friendliest cities in the country. We already unsubscribed; now I’m completely deleting this app and bookmarks from all my devices.

The Star Telegram is for me the only decent major newspaper in the State of Texas. Great local and sports coverage, and the courage to present some semblance of balance on national issues.

This latest update is very very bad compared to the last one. It's hard to read and has mainly sports news.

The monthly page view limit is too low and the annual subscription is way too high.

Now it won’t even open. App crashes every time I open it. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Rebooted phone. Tried on cellular and WiFi. The app just won’t load. Disappointing as it was a trusted app for a long time.

Hadn’t “updated “ the news in weeks.

Have read the paper every morning since I was a kid. But truly miss local high school sports. Pros are not the heartbeat of where we live. Would like a few less pop up ads, but start the day with my paper.

I used to be able to download an offline version with ease. This version of the app is NOT easy to download or navigate through the newspaper. I hope the newspaper's management will take note and require the group that created this mess to fix it. z

Poor refresh rate. It seems that the newspaper has yet to commit the resources to be successful in cyberspace. Checkout the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette!

Just what I need. Instead of ripping through the paper as usual, I now have to try to figure out a whole new format. Many of the articles I had read several days ago waste of my time. And I still have yet to find Ann Landers and the comics. Thumbs down. Just fix it back, please.

This app has some serious shortcomings that should be addressed if the Star-Telegram wants it to anything other than an “also ran”. There are two issues which I have serious problems with: #1, There are many stories, opinions and other articles in the printed edition which I regularly read that are not in the app edition. The #2 issue is that posting an opinion doesn’t work so well between platforms. With the same settings, my iPhone allows feedback in the opinion sections while my iPad does not.

Now I pay to have ads flash up and block my reading. Nice going!

I have been a long time proud subscriber to the Star Telegram, having grown up in Ft. Worth and living in Tarrant County my whole life. But I am very disappointed at the lack of real journalism the paper used to have. For example, during the Nixon years, the Watergate hearings, and the legal process that was taking place in Washington was usually front page news. The current legal issues involving President Trump and the Mueller investigation are either buried deeply in the paper (or app) and are often not even covered at all. Our country is facing some possible serious constitutional issues that may result in the impeachment of a president. Should that not be front page news? I hope the paper is not bending to partisan pressure to become like “Fox News” by only presenting the news that suits a certain political viewpoint. I believe the Star Telegram can do better. I believe newspapers can serve as one of the guardians of our great democracy. But it can only do that if it tells the truth consistently. Sincerely, Dan Manning

Why did you change something that worked? Trying to read the paper from your new app is so frustrating. Why change something that works? Allow us to revert to the old app please. I will seriously consider cancelling my subscription.

The updates have failed after IOS 11

Way too may pop-up ads. I stopped reading the articles over the constant ads popping. Seemed to be a nice platform until the ads overwhelmed to screen. Goodbye, I’m going returning to my dependable news source.

Wish the daily schedule for radio/tv on local stations was in the e-edition like in the printed version.

This is a newspaper that is one sided and writes opinions rather than facts. They mostly tell half truths or give out false information.

Always loved the star-telegram from its stories to local info. Keep it up.

The obit section is incredibly frustrating—it regularly freezes and closes without warning. Awful.

I’m deleting this app. I’m tired of the constant breaking opinion notifications. Half the time, it’s not even a story of importance. The Star Telegram is more like the Star Tattletale trying to make stories about well-known people sound shocking and appalling. Super bowl results? Breaking news. Their opinion of a player’s performance in a regular season game? Not breaking news.

The original app was like reading a regular newspaper. This app is some weird redesign that some kid thought was cool and senior management bought it to make themselves look cool. Big failure all around.
