Inhalt und Layout sind sehr gut, Länge der Berichte sind optimal für eine App.

Ist das beste zeitungsapp schade dass es das fürs iPad nicht gibt

Viel besser als alle anderen hier. Kurz gesagt.

I have found, one of the best ways to improve my German is to read about current events in the language I am studying. One hears the words in the news in one's first language daily, so when it is read in one's second language, it "clicks" faster in one's memory. Thus, the FAZ app and articles have been instrumental in improving my German language ability.

This is the worst adaptation I have see from a company that has a great Internet format with it's e-paper. Get working if you want to have success on the iOS platform.

I use the app to stay informed about international and European news and issues from a German (conservative to liberal) perspective and the FAZ take on German news and issues. Great antidote to what passes as "news coverage" these days in the United States, including from a conservative perspective, and a great addition to the remaining, dwindling and embattled, great media in the United States. Highly recommended!

Though only in my second year of self study, I find FAZ immensely valuable, not only to practice reading German, but also to learn more about German and European news and culture. Danke schön.

Easy to navigate.

The app is working very well on mu iphone and replaced my usual go-to news app.

Am iPod touch 4...schön, aber nicht Funktionsfähig.

Auch wenn man in den USA lebt, möchte man gerne informiert sein. FAZ ist übersichtlich und einfach zu navigieren. Notifikationen helfen mir täglich mit Deutschland in Verbindung zu stehen.

Es wurde auch Zeit - meine FT lese ich schon seit langem auf meinem iPhone und die App hat vorgemacht, was möglich ist. Die FAZ setzt weniger auf vollen Zugang zu ihrem Inhalt in mobil-freundlichem Gewand und für eine Version 1.0 ist ihr das auch gelungen. Mir sind die anderen Rezessionen nicht bekannt (noch zu neu und erscheinen hier nicht) aber warum es nur so wenige Sterne gibt, ist mir nicht ganz begreiflich. Bei andern Zeitungsapps war das ähnlich - Leute lassen ihren Frust raus das guter Journalismus - kann es wirklich sein!?! - nicht für umsonst zu haben ist. Die Abo-Rate nach den 30 Frei-Tagen scheint mir mehr als angemessen verglichen mit den Kosten für das gedruckte Produkt allemal. Großer Pluspunkt sind die Media/Foto-Strecken. Sehr schön gelöst, für die iPhone Plattform. Die Inhalte sind begrenzt auf max. 10 Artikel pro Sektion. Da gibt es noch Spielraum für Verbesserungen, die sich aber für die App-Programmierer erst im täglichen Nutzen konkretisieren. Wollen Nutzer einen langen Rattenschwanz von ungelesenen Nachrichten von 3 Tagen oder doch lieber die neuesten 10? Das liegt an der Nutzerpräferenz. Vielleicht sollte man da mehr Optionen haben. Insgesamt fühlt sich die App mehr als ein "FAZ Browser" an als eine eigene FAZ App, so wie das beispielsweise bei der FT oder NYT App. ist. Aber dem Lesegenuss oder Lesbarkeit tut das nicht wirklich einen Abbruch. Ich gebe hier nur 5 Sterne um die anderen ein wenig aufzuheben - aber ne 4 ist es auf jeden Fall für einen gelungenen Start in ein neues, schwieriges Medium.

I downloaded the app because I wanted to jump face first into learning German language and culture. I don't speak well yet, but the publication is formatted amazingly. It is quite accessible to language learners. The app itself sends just the right number of push notifications, in my opinion. I like the F1 and BL football tickers. The headlines are organized in a way conducive to browsing. 100% my preference news source now.

Eine super schnelle App, natürlich top Inhalte, meiner Meinung nach die beste Zeitungsapp, besonders die Videos sind klasse im Layout integriert. Weiter so :)

Meine neue news app. Guter Journalismus, fühlt sich besser an als SPON. Gut programmiert, benutzerfreundlich, aktuell.

The FAZ app almost is on par with the NYC app. I am a German-American living in Alaska and read the FAZ for details of German and European issues.

This is an excellent application by which I get most of my news!

I can tell it’s a great paper, the WSJ of Germany. Unfortunately I can’t use Google translate within the app and can’t learn German just so I can get financial news from the EU’s largest economy.

Weit weg von zu Hause gibt mir die FAZ die neuesten Nachrichten, geschrieben mit Niveau. Zum Glück nicht mehr so konservativ wie früher. Da kann auch ein Linker wie ich noch was damit anfangen. Macht weiter so.

Die App erscheint ziemlich simpel, ist aber genau deswegen gut und benutzerfreundlich. Sie erscheint auch auf dem grossen Display des iPADs noch ganz schön, wenngleich die aufgerasterten Pixel das Lesevergnügen etwas mindern. Ich hätte mir als iPAD Besitzer zeitgleich eine HD Version gewünscht, die im übrigen auch seitens der FAZ angekündigt war bzw. ist. Schon wegen des gewohnt erstklassigen, journalistischen Inhalts gbit es von mir 5 Sterne.

Gute und übersichtliche App!
