Whoever controls the notifications needs to understand the difference between “breaking news” and every story they post on social media. As a new resident to Des Moines, I was very excited to see the app had the option to select which notifications you’d like, but they obviously don’t honor your request.

This app is awful. It doesn’t work well with a password protection program. When I log on through my password protection program, it takes me to the manage account section. If I click on the register link at the the top of that section, it brings up news from multiple dates and doesn’t even have the date at the top of the story. And sometimes I get to a place where I am asked to log in again. I want to read today’s paper! I want to have one log in place that gives links to today’s paper, archives and search, and subscription management,

This was a decent app now all you get is a picture of a dog from a Purina puppy chow as that intrudes on the articles you are reading about every 20 seconds or so, should not happen on a paid app.

One of the best papers in the nation. Liked it better when Register was in morning and Tribune in evening

This format lacks a search function. No matter how wonderfully you organize content, users still will want to search by keywords, too. Please add.

Having moved away from greater DSM, we read the register to keep up on those things of interest in the Central Iowa area. Most of the time it works great. The obituaries are often unreliable, however, in the way they present. If you choose to read one in full, you can't get back then to the list without going all the way back to the home screen and starting over. Sometimes it just locks up and you have to start over. The opinion section is often missing the Two Cents worth column, then a day later it shows up with two columns! Nothing is ever "perfect" for everyone, but we do appreciate your continued effort to improve our reading pleasure. Thank you.

This App is the worst newspaper app on my phone! I can’t enter the app even when I put in my email address & password. It says I have an account but it won’t me in unless I use Facebook. Finally I go the App Store daily & can read through the app in the App Store until I hit the limit for the app. Even when I attempt to sign in it won’t allow me full unlimited access despite being a delivery subscriber for a decade! I can read newspapers from around the world that I subscribe to, but not the Des Moines Register!
