I love this app I can listen to my favorite radio stations here in Richmond ! Especially WBLS I’m from New York and this app makes me feel at home! I own a barbershop so I can cast this app on my tv so my customers can listen also ! They love it as well ! ❤️

I bought the Pro version to avoid commercials and still get it between son and at the beginning so annoying

For the at least the second consecutive season, TuneIn programs college football games for three hours. Unfortunately, college football games last longer than three hours every single game, and some last much more because weather delay, overtime, etc. Consequently, the number one use case for TuneIn - listen to exciting finishes of various games - is not possible. And, if for some reason, you stop or crash when listening to the end of an exciting game, you’re screwed. Because “this event has ended”. That’s just incredibly disrespectful of customers. And equally inept. Please fix this. Or recommend an alternative service that does not have this problem.

No success. Can only play (streams) on one1 speaker and I can note stream it over all the house speakers ,Be so kind to help streaming it over my entire home speakers

So I update and every single “page” says “an error occurred. Please try again!” Home. Favorites. Browse. Search. Come on! This is very shoddy work. No, I did not update to iOS 12 and have no plans to. Have 8+. For the app to refuse to work is ridiculous.

Lately, it’s almost unusable. While listening to a station, it keeps jumping back in time all by itself and I have to keep hitting the Fast Forward button to get it back to the live stream.

A lot of my NPR stations don’t play well. Then I have to listen to their 10 second blurb at the beginning ... every time it drops sync. This is on more than one station so I’m inclined to blame the app. I have an iPhone XS Max running iOS 12 so I don’t think that is an Apple problem.

Why 131MB?

Used to have no problem listening, but recently the station I want will not play. Says there is an error. Getting frustrated!

Paid for the PRO version and used this app everyday Monday-Friday for years. Loved the fact that I could pause it when listening to live radio if I received a phone call. Before this update I was able to rewind or fast forward after pausing and letting it buffer a little. Now that ability is no longer available. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Really hope you bring back those controls instead of the “scan” button that just skips thru different radio stations based off the content you are listening to. Please fix this. Thanks

After finally updating this app a few weeks ago, I’m now having problems playing my recordings in airplane mode. It seems the app is looking for a connection to play the recordings. Hopefully this is bug and not a feature.

Works for an hour or two then it tends to loose connection or start looping the last several seconds.

Every wonderful aspect of this app is rendered useless by the change in interface that makes it impossible to determine at a glance whether the app is or is not recording. PLEASE change this to something COMPLETELY UNAMBIGUOUS in the language chosen. Color, shape, transparency, nothing replaces the need for plain unambiguous LANGUAGE as the primary indicator. Possible suggestions: Start Recording Stop Recording Begin End

Sep 20 2018 The channel stream continues to play through my car’s Bluetooth, every time I start the car up, even though I already killed the app many hours before !!

I have used this app for many years! I have no tv package now; yet tunein pro allows we free radio and CNBC subscription.

I listen to local NPR station on public transportation. Whenever cell service hiccups, or wifi tries to connect, it replays an ad- not once or twice, but over and over. It’s not a pleasant experience, making using this app unlistenable. I’m using another radio app that doesn’t do this.

This was once my favorite app and I believed that by paying extra for the Pro version, I would not be blasted by loud commercials before my radio station loaded. Nevermore!

Best to listen to stations from home while overseas

This is the best of all the radio apps I have tried. I use it daily. It is well-designed and very stable and reliable. Streaming reliability is very high; I haven't found this with other radio apps. The recorder is incredibly useful. Not only can I record what I am listening to, but I can go back (up to 30 minutes) to replay something I want to hear again. I can also "pause" the broadcast, if I am interrupted by a phone call and I don't want to miss anything. This is done by the app's recorder turning on, when I tap the pause button. So when I come back, I can resume where I left off. I can listen to most over-the-air or internet radio stations from around the world. My only regret is that there are two local stations not available to me; one of them used to be available, but is no longer. I suspect that this is outside of the app developer's control.

Tunein Pro keeps getting worse with each release. And I’ve used it for years. Clicked on some stations but nothing plays. Just a Play button that spins and does nothing else. After a few minutes I gave up and switched to something that just works.

Until Tune In Pro restores this feature that they deliberately disabled, I will from time to time write to complain: PLEASE RESTORE THE ABILITY TO “RECORD” CUSTOM URLS! Recent email exchange from developer admits that this feature was disabled in the transition from version 5 to version 6. They are not “expressing interest” in restoring this feature. It is a very important feature to me, or else I wouldn’t keep writing about it! Honest, I love Tune In. If I didn’t care, I wouldn’t complain. But “custom URLs” are my primary use of this app. Recording streams is the reason I PAID for this app. As long as I have iOS 6 and iOS 9 devices, I will continue using Tune In Pro version 5. Note 1: This does NOT affect the FREE version of Tune In. Tune In FREE doesn’t record at all. Note 2: To Tune In: Re-enable that feature and I PROMISE to rate you as five stars.

I purchased the pro version of TuneIn sometime back so I could easily stream Alex Jones and Infowars, but I see today that the developer of this app has also bowed to the media hype and misinformation and has removed Jones’ show within in this app. Stop being a tool!

8/8/2018. The app continues to play the show through my car’s Bluetooth even after I k*** it (flick it up with the red subtract at the top left). Very odd behavior and I wonder if it could be a buffer overrun issue?

I have been a long time tunein fan it has always been my go to app for talk radio, podcasts, and audio books. I have probably been using tunein for 5+ years, been a monthly subscriber for 3+ years and remember paying extra for the pro app way before tunein really caught on. I was really disappointed when they stopped offering audio books because they where a huge value and was worth paying for. Then tunein slowly started removing all of my favorite podcasts until there was basically nothing left but npr. So at this point there where only about 3 talk shows left that I’d occasionally listen too definitely not worth 9.99 a mouth. Well yesterday tunein removed Alex Jones who I would occasionally listen to. This was the last straw. Bye!

I bought the pro version years ago. And I never spend money for apps. I enjoyed listening to whatever I wanted, but one of my favorites shows that I had since the beginning was the Alex Jones show, I wake up and it’s gone. Tune in radio is against freedom of speech. We all have to choose a side and I guess TuneinRadio sided with apple & China.

This is used to be my go to app for radio stations. I purchased the pro version so I could record shows from the UK which r live while I sleep in the US. The schedule recording does not work, so I am now setting an alarm to wake up at 1:30am so I can hit the record button!!! Soooo frustrating. Please fix!!!! Also in the last 2 wks, 2 stations from the 8 in my favs are no longer on the app!!! When these issues are fixed it will defo be a 5 Star app!!

I used to love this app but they have decided to participate in censorship and prohibit free speech. They have become political by removing info wars and other alternative programs so I can no longer support this app. 1776!

I’ve been a Tune In Pro user for years. I loved the quantity of radio stations and podcasts available for consumption. Today they removed all the Infowars feeds. Screw that. I don’t want big brother telling me what I can or can not listen to.

I want a refund. When I bought this app I had no idea the app developers were anti-free speech. They only allow content they like. Either bring back the Alex Jones Show or give me a full refund!!

I downloaded this app to listen to one particular show, but since tune-in is against free speech, they cut the show off. As a user of this app DAILY for almost 6 years, I am deleting this anti-American garbage.

The battery consumption of this App is terrible. The basic functionality—maintaining lists of radio streams, seeing the actual programs offered in the moment, and managing the favorites (lists) between web, iOS and Android deceives is difficult. Even getting to Favorites on the Web is difficult and usability on iOS isn’t much better.

The most recent version replaced the playlist when listening to a station with the “test“ icon which for me personally is useless. Please put back the playlist so I know when I’ve been listening to. Thanks.Otherwise, one of my favorite apps for music!

When I paid for the app there were no advertisements, now every time I change the channel I am forced to hear annoying advertisements

Use it all the time while traveling and also at home. Only wish certain stations were not blocked ie WXRT out of Chicago. Update 8/17. WXRT, my favorite rock station, is now available! Check it out! Another update 8/18. Still love the app. Dislike how often it buffers which seems to be more often lately.

Really tired of the app clipping and repeating and skipping. If there were another app, I would never use TuneIn again. I sent them a note asking for help, but it went into a dark hole

The only thing that would make TuneIn Radio Pro better is the ability to schedule record.

I’ve listening for some years now. I’ve move a lot due to the military and love and appreciate the fact that I can listen to local stations where I may have previously lived. I love the recording feature on Tune In Pro...allows me to catch up on shows and rewind or fast forward. I don’t know of any easy way to get recordings off phone and onto computer or other device...please try to improve that. As long as it’s in the current format and improving I’m onboard!

I am a long time user of TuneIn Pro. It has a great interface, and a good selection of stations. I believe Entercom withdrawing their stations is a huge blow, but that is CBS pushing their own app (a move I won’t reward them for). I am very concerned about TuneIn removing InfoWars from their app because a loud minority is ‘offended’ by Alex Jones. All these people need to do is not listen to his station! Who is next? Fox News? I am offended by CNN but I am not asking for it to be removed. Is this because TuneIn has some sweetheart deal with MSNBC? Are their new masters there demanding this type of censorship? Whether it’s government or business imposed, censorship is evil. We should all be adult enough to handle ALL points of view. I am looking at alternative apps, and I will be deleting TuneIn. This practice cannot be tolerated. BTW, the InfoWars app is now a top download. I wonder how that happened? Thank you TuneIn for contributing to that app’s success!!

Where are CBS radio stations? Do I have to subscribe to get them? Are they gone forever? They literally vanished midday on July 31...

My favorite radio app. However, there's still darkening on the cover photo area. That ruins the cover photo. Remove the darkening for 5 stars.

I have used this app as a radio replacement at the office and it works wonderfully. The only missing feature for me is AppleTV support. I would really love to see that added with background audio support.

UPDATE: I paid $100 for TuneIn Pro & I’m still getting ads!!!!!🤬😡🤬. TuneIn Pro promises listeners to have an AD FREE experience! Why do I still hear ads from the “Ad Council”??? I feel scammed 😡 I usually tune into TuneIn Radio when I'm out & about. I always get a good signal. Great app. However, despite having paid for the app, in order to get rid of annoying ads I have to pay an additional $10 a month to whatever station I'm listening to!!! It's a money making scam😡😡

FINALLY after frustrating months got the ad free subscription to work consistently on both my iphone and ipad..receptive tech support, but it should NOT be so difficult to work, needs work to avoid confusion with this important and useful app. oops update.. record feature only works on iphone TuneInPro not ipad.. thoughts?

Far better than iHeart - which is so mercenary now and has so many ads - and is much more stable than the other “radio” apps (I have tried them all). TuneIn also is much more user friendly and easier to “figure-out” than the other apps too. Get THIS one.

I have been a long time subscriber, and all of a sudden it cancelled last week. TuneIn cancelled it without my consent, then when I attempted to reinstate my my membership, they said they could not honor my original price ($7.99). They said their system was transferring to a new one, and I would have to register with a new email too. Also, I purchased the Pro version awhile back to avoid ads, but was constantly getting annoying pop ups for premium. Since audiobooks are no longer available, I guess it’s not a big issue, but it’s so annoying that these shady crooks do things like this to force them pay full price.

There’s no way to organize your favorites in the app. If you’ve created folders, you have to use a desktop to move favorites into them.

I love how sporting events are only available early in the season, then when games start to matter (playoffs etc.) the app makes them unavailable unless I open up my wallet and pay them. Make up whatever excuses you want I’m deleting this app and finding a better one. Good luck with your greed!

Upgraded from the free version because supposedly you can schedule the app to record a program. Doesn’t work. I’m trying to record a program that airs from 6-9 in the East, 3-6 am here in the West when I’m asleep. Even if I leave my phone plugged into power and keep the app open with the station, time all set, nothing ever records. Never should have wasted the money to upgrade just to gain that feature.

The seek bar doesn’t work, it jumps around to pretty much wherever it wants when you try to rewind or fast forward. Still can’t set my favorites as landing page when opening the app.

This app will not play if you use the adblock filter on your wifi settings. Really poor of them to do this with the pro version. All the other ipad iphone apps work fine but this one! Nasty Nasty....

New discrepancy noted: Titles for custom URLs no longer display while playing. As in, when I enter custom URLs, I provide a short title for them to make them easier to find in “favorites.” Short title is still in “favorites” but no longer displays while playing custom URLs. Honest, I love Tune In. If I didn’t care, I wouldn’t complain. But “custom URLs” are my primary use of the app. And these loss of features on my primary use of the app are downright frustrating. As long as I have iOS 6 and iOS 9 devices, I will continue using Tune In Pro version 5. That is how important being able to use and record custom URLs is to me. Upon contacting Tune In support, I did get a confession that it was a conscious decision to disable recording of custom URLs. App is pretty good but vendor does not follow up and fix links that fail like Wake County Police and Fire in NC. Vendor acknowledges failure, asks for link but does not stay after site and get it corrected. Poor support.

Why no AppleTV app?? And why on my iPhone do I constantly get a ‘error - try again’ message? It’s so frustrating!!! It seems to fail more than it works!! The only way to work around this is to use Car Mode—even when I’m not in the car! Help/Support is non-existent. I wish I could give it more stars, but it does not work as advertised—and I paid for the Pro version!!

I have enabled cellular data for this app. However it still will not allow me to listen when I am not on Wi-Fi. This is a bug in the app. Cellular data has always been enabled on my iPhone for this app, still it will not work. I tried turning cellular data off and then on, I went into airplane mode and then out, other apps use cellular data OK but this app will not. Cellular not possible? Please fix this bug!

You’ve added a new feature. Scanning through programs on, for example, Jazz 88. There’s a scanning feature instead of letting you pause and then go back and listen again where you left off. If you get a phone call or posit for any length of time you lose your place. Not fond of this feature. I’m downgrading to three stars Also, I’ve been trying to add new favorite channels or stations but for some reason it will not allow me to do this. I cannot delete any stations from favorites either. This app is getting worse instead of better.

Tunein have installed a new “scan” option, which is taking the place of the fast forward and reverse buttons while listening to some stations. Please get rid of this option!! It’s useless. I want to have the option to skip ahead or back without having to do so on the progress bar. It’s especially dangerous when you are driving and you want to skip ahead or go back within a radio station! Put the scan option somewhere else please!

The updated app does not allow to record my shows

Please bring back that lovely seek bar that allowed us to rewind by so many seconds when listening to a live show, or at least the buttons that allowed us to skip backwards or forwards by 30 seconds. I hate this smart skipping feature now in place. Plus, I just want to see what I choose to listen to without all the recommendations This used to be a 5 star app until these ahem, improvements have been made, thus causing it to be less intuitive an app.

Someone fix this ASAP!

Loved the free trial.ad time was filled in with audio from other shows..which THRILLED me to the point I bought the PRO version.. only july 1 still suffering through mind numbing. ads and confused as there will be periods of no ads then revert back to adadadadsdsadsads

They make it nearly impossible to cancel. Try to find where! That’s scummy behavior.

I have enjoyed TuneIn Pro for many years and consider myself an early adopter but the latest version doesn’t have the ability to go back in a broadcast in 30 second increments. That was a very useful feature for me because sometimes you miss something, or you just want to hear a section of a broadcast again. Other than that there still seems to be a problem with live broadcasts repeating themselves. Is that a buffering issue when sometimes a 30 or 45 second part of a show repeats itself over and over again? I’ll still use the program almost every day but these issues are VERY annoying.

Great internet radio app !!!!!

This is a great App, but having an Equalizer added would make the streaming radio stations sound so much better on Bluetooth Speakers. For example, I was able to listen to music on my Bose Speaker that had some EQ added and it sounded SO MUCH better. When I went back to TUNEIN PRO, with no EQ, I could hear a MAJOR difference. So please consider adding an EQ function to an already great App in a future update. Then this App will be just PERFECT:-)

Ever since the update I’ve been having trouble of logging in and I can’t even stream anything online, I even tried a hard reset with my phone and still the same problem persists, please fix!!

The last update makes the app crash, I've read other comments saying if you reinstall the app it will work again, but I don't want to lose all of my recordings. I've been waiting over a week now for an update and nothing! It's pretty disappointing!

So you fixed the problem with it only working in driving mode. But now we have a new problem. I cannot remove any from my favorites list and replace them with any others. The only way that I can remember any new stations is to go to the home screen and see recently played. When I try to on favorite something it does not disappear from the list. 6/30/18 update. I don’t like the new scanning feature. You can’t go back 30 seconds or 10 seconds like he used to be able to to go back in here sign or 30 minutes prior. It has some kind of new scanning feature that goes through stations. And when you cycle out of the station and played in the background or posit it goes all the way back to the beginning and you missed stuff that you posit for in the first place if you don’t go back right away you lose the place that you’re at. Needs to be fixed. Still better than most of the other radio apps.

I going to pull up my original purchase back when I paid for the ad free version long ago and report this to the BBB as us longtime users paid for this long ago. Jan 30th 2013 for me but yet you keep the ads and try to charge us for premium service over again. Guess I should have just used the free version as paying for ad free got me nothing. This is a despicable move and probably illegal as the pro and previous updates of the pro version were touted as ad free. And the records of it are available easily.

I have to agree with a lot of the comments about what exactly a paid subscription actually consists of. I had paid for a pro version awhile back or whatever it was called at the time. I did have commercial free radio and no ads but then they decided to add a tier to their subscription which required me to pay once again to take away commercials and ads which I think is totally wrong and tells me what the company really cares about which is money and not customers that paid into their company when it was getting off its feet. I hope they realize what they are doing and fix things and not be so greedy before they lose more customers.

26-Jun-18 - Tune In Pro has still not restored recording audio from custom URLs. Many updates so far in 2018. Many were in April and May 2018. Until Tune In Pro restores this feature that they deliberately disabled, I will from time to time write to complain: PLEASE RESTORE THE ABILITY TO “RECORD” CUSTOM URLS! New discrepancy noted: Titles for custom URLs no longer display while playing. As in, when I enter custom URLs, I provide a short title for them to make them easier to find in “favorites.” Short title is still in “favorites” but no longer displays while playing custom URLs. Honest, I love Tune In. If I didn’t care, I wouldn’t complain. But “custom URLs” are my primary use of the app. And these loss of features on my primary use of the app are downright frustrating. As long as I have iOS 6 and iOS 9 devices, I will continue using Tune In Pro version 5. That is how important being able to use and record custom URLs is to me. Upon contacting Tune In support, I did get a confession that it was a conscious decision to disable recording of custom URLs. Note to Tune In: Re-enable that feature and I promise to rate you as five stars. This is the best radio app, seriously. But I'm just as seriously miffed that Tune In Pro discriminates against custom URLs.

I've been using TuneIn Radio since 2010 and it still is the best radio app I've found. I listen to stations from around the world and it never gets old.

A month without the FF 30 seconds seemed like eternity! I gave up on try to catch up with programming and just closed the app every time instead of “pausing” . Thank you for bringing this feature back! All other features work as advertised and now I am in utopia 😎

Please stop the auto play feature if you select a recent podcast on the recent feature of podcasts.

Very disappointed and frustrated that this app won’t work as it is the only way to listen to certain news stations in the car. Here’s hoping for a quick update/fix.

UPDATE: I paid $10 for TuneIn Pro & I’m still getting ads!!!!!🤬😡🤬. TuneIn Pro promises listeners to have an AD FREE experience! Why do I still hear ads from the “Ad Council”??? I feel scammed 😡 I usually tune into TuneIn Radio when I'm out & about. I always get a good signal. Great app. However, despite having paid for the app, in order to get rid of annoying ads I have to pay an additional $10 a month to whatever station I'm listening to!!! It's a money making scam😡😡

This update causes the streams to fail if you use the Adblock wifi server address buly puting it in yourself. Dont update if you have the iphone 7 and use the adblock address on your wifi to stop all the ads on browsers, etc. wish I would not of updated, for I had to delete the tunein radio and go direct to the stream sources. Who knows why they need clear access to your phone without filtering intrusive ads on browsers.

Tune In Pro is a great app. But, when listening to a MLB games there is this annoying static whenever there is a commercial break.

Too much tinkering has finally managed to ruin this app. I WANT TO SEE THE EPISODE TITLES OF MY FAVORITES. Very disappointed. LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE! I will have to find another player.

I pay for the pro version. No matter what I do it will not allow me to keep my favorites that have been added, such as WNYC in New York or MSNBC. They’re added the next time I go back to the app they’re gone. And on the flipside no matter how many times I delete from my favorites list their sponsored shows – – mostly ESPN and other sports things and some podcasts that I’ve never heard of – – there they are once again, paid for by the companies that have those shows but certainly not my ‘favorites’. I end up getting my “favorites” from going to the recently-listened-to section since the ‘favorites’ section is rendered useless by their persistent forced content. And I pay them for this??

Using my finger to scrub is a poor solution as A) the time that pops up is always wrong! And B) I can never go back or forward in precise increments. I’m always overshooting and it’s driving me nuts! Also hard to do while driving! Also leaving the forward and back buttons on the lock screen and watch has made me scan to the next station unintentionally. Please, please bring back the skip buttons!!

This app was great, then they replaced the skip forward or backward 30 seconds button with a scan button. That irritating little button changes it to another station. Not a big deal if you’re listening to songs...but if it’s a game, talk show, or other production you’ve just lost your place and any content that was recorded (like if you had to pause the program for a few minutes). Look guys, it’s not that tough to give us the option to switch between scan or skip buttons!

Please bring back the recording option. A great feature of your app used to be the ability to record and then Shazam music in order to purchase on iTunes.

Bring back the 30 sec skip back / ahead!

Perhaps the most heavily used app on my iPad. Thousands of stations, great selection of live shows, I love the oldies broadcasts of the 30's and 40's. Great very responsive customer service. Updates that work. Being able to add custom URL’s allows me to add favorite streams from my Audioaddict Premium accounts. Very inexpensive to upgrade to the Pro service. The only improvement I can think of? Send me a birthday card.....it's really that good. In my opinion, it's still the best streaming radio app available. It's a 5+ star app!

This app is infuriating. I paid $100 for one year because I like access to MSNBC and some non-commercial programs. Unfortunately there are 2 problems that I cannot fix. The first is that the broadcast often goes into endless loops. The same sentence repeats forever. The second problem is that one of the stations I listen to most, MSNBC, Gets blocked with an error message that I have not subscribed. Ti fix it I have to routinely remove and reinstall the application. Not for a $100 per year subscription. I finally decided to give up and pay for a subscription to Sirius/XM radio.

It’s been a few months now that it’s ridiculously slow to start playing. I have to tap the station name 7-8 times to begin play.

Please bring back the fast forward and rewind buttons! I listen while at work and often have to pause the live radio show I’m listening to so I can to deal with work things. Durning their commercials the fast forward button were handy for that. I do not see a need for the scan buttons to change stations.

Beats all other radio mediums for any DEVICE!

I can listen to iTunes or podcasts (Casts) all day with battery barely hitting 60% on WiFi (iPhone 7 Plus). When I listen to music all day on TuneIn I hit the low 30% range. 😕

The SCAN buttons can stay, but return the 30 seconds back or forward buttons. I simply want to rewind😩 Sliding bar is too cumbersome The app slid from a 5 star feedback to a two star.

It is really interesting that Broadcastify has a working link to the Wake County Sherrif, Fire and Police streams and you cannot get yours fixed. Maybe your business could try working with other vendors so both would be better apps. No one at tunein seems to be interested in fixing failed links but contacting the site more than one time and really trying to fix problems. Maybe we should change to broadcastify since their app works. JP

This app was just fine until the recent addition of a "Scan" option that replaced the 30-second rewind and fast forward options. Completely useless. Give us back the rewind and fast forward capability.

30 sec rewind/fast forward buttons eliminated for station scan buttons? If we cant have both I would much rather the option to rewind if Im listening to my favorite talk show. You’re already invested in the show its more important than a potential new station/show you might be interested in hearing.

The Intelligent skip feature; which is still a selectable option in the setting—dose not work at all. Instead; the words “seek” are in place of the traditional intelligent skip 30 sec back or forward. Four stars when this feature is restored.

5/5/2018. Love it! Minus one star for mediocre stream quality in general and no useful-in-your-face car mode that you can quickly access and swipe the screen to change thru favorites. The developers probably don’t have to drive and hire for their rides instead. Otherwise they would’ve made it happen from the get go. It’s also possible they don’t know how to program it in!

-3 stars for changing a main function The decision to change the standard Fast Forward & Rewind buttons to instead scan through stations is very disappointing & annoying. It is significantly more difficult (not to mention dangerous) to FF/Rewind while driving now. Why would you change these?? So disappointed.

Tunein have installed a new “scan” option, which is taking the place of the fast forward and reverse buttons while listening to some stations. Please get rid of this option!! It’s useless. I want to have the option to skip ahead or back without having to do so on the progress bar. It’s especially dangerous when you are driving and you want to skip ahead or go back within a radio station! Put the scan option somewhere else please!

This app has been amazing since day one! The one issue I have is that when you record a station for offline listening, for some reason you can never listen to it from beginning, instead being forced to keep pressing “30 second rewind” all the way from the end. Hoping that gets fixed in one of the updates.

I hate this radio after they decide to do away with the audio books 📖 . I would listen every morning on my way to work

Hey tune-in needs fix ASAP!! I mean by today please!

-2 stars for the new "scan" feature instead of the forward & rewind buttons. Instead of staying in the stream, I'm taken to a NEW station - which isn't in the genre of the current station. May have to give this up for that reason alone. --- I love the ability to rewind the radio! I use it to replay songs I like, news that I missed, and to skip singsi don't like. Well worth the $$.

The app is really nice, but, it needs at least one thing fixed. I'll turn the music off with the stop button, and even double click the home button to swipe it away, then when I end a call (on Bluetooth) hours later, the music begins to play the station I last had played. It's annoying, and goes unnoticed, it'll be a battery drainer.

Update 5/31/18——- Ads seem to be gone-thank you. BUT the app skips over streaming and loses whatever show I’m listening to. Buffer still seems long, especially for live sports. If I pause a show, when I press play again, the streaming skips back to live - pause does not work. Even when recording- if I close the app or do anything in another window, stream is not recorded properly - recording becomes truncated. —-orig review 2017—- Radio stations begin with annoying ads almost always. Extra ads that are not not on live radio disrupt listening. Buffer is too long. I'm not sure what the added cost of PRO version is for since there is the same amount of ads. App could be great if it wasn't so frustrating.

The fwd & back buttons are missing?! Without these, this app went from 5 stars to 1. The record button is also missing.

I purchased the app years ago for the live sports streaming. Now I have to pay more money for the feature. Old users should be grandfathered in.

Updated: great app for mobile radio! But why have you replaced 30-second skip (very useful) with Scan (very annoying)? If you want to add Scan as an option, ok. But doing away with Skip makes the whole program less useful. Please undo this change! TuneIn was one of the most useful apps I've ever had on my phone. But the new version is driving me crazy. It crashes constantly and won't hold a stream reliably unless you keep the app on top and don't do anything else (including plug in headphones) on your phone. I hope the next version fixes / returns to reliable code. I want to be able to actually listen to something for more than a few minutes at a time. Also, ads in the Premium paid version? Lame. Previous review: Pretty much exactly the mobile radio app I've been seeking for years.

This app is Ok. Not as good as older versions that tune in has stopped streaming to. New app doesn't have the back up 10sec, and when I try to back up or forward it goes to one end or the other of recording.

I listen to my news everyday on this app and loved it until two weeks ago when they started pushing commercials at least five times every ten minutes. I purchased the pro access to avoid this yet I am afraid ambition is creeping in and now that the TuneIn Premium access is available this pro version is pestered with annoying repetitions of commercials. I can no longer listen to my news and make sense of what they are saying due to the ridiculous amount of commercials.

Why do you delete the option for rewind and forward....? Scan???? Is not hard to use the app, why should we need “Scan” buttons? 😡😡😡

I have even more new stations now, than ever before of obscure music from all over the world. Also, I rarely if ever, have ads and only on very few of the stations. I also like sharing the stations via social. Yeah, there are occasional glitches but I think the good far outweighs the bad.

I’ve been using this app for years, and it’s great for podcasts and listening to my local NPR station. My experience lately hasn’t been as great, because I checked out a bunch of new podcasts recently that I won’t ever listen to again, and I’ve hated having them clogging up my Recents (which is where I’ve always checked for new episodes and launched my podcasts). I finally went through the exercise of starting 20 podcasts I enjoy back-to-back to get all the junk out of my Recents, but then I accidentally started Fresh Air from some random radio station airing it, and now I’ll have to do it all over again to get it out of my Recents. I’ve started shopping around for other podcast apps out of sheer annoyance, but I will more than happily come back once you allow users to edit their Recents. Thanks!

Stopped working after latest update

You guys messed up what was for me almost the perfect radio App. You removed the ability to easily go back and listen to segments of streaming audio with easy. This new interface is terrible and less functional.

Bought the pro version a couple years back everything was fine until recently I notice that i get a ridiculous number of adds before my station starts and even cut the stream to insert an add.

Been using the Pro version for many years now but suddenly Ads are being added whenever I start listening to a station and the programs are muted for ads to be played so often. Why is this happening? I thought I paid for ads free listening?

I wanted to move away from the ads playing. Decided to try the $99 ad-free app. Sadly, I keep listening every 5 minutes a Lowes ad in Spanish. I have not received solutions from the developer.

Bring back the 30 second forward and rewind option! The scan button is misleading. Dragging the cursor doesn’t even work well. Ends up where it wants no matter where you put the cursor.

Why no AppleTV app?? And why on my iPhone do I constantly get a ‘error - try again’ message? It’s so frustrating!!! It seems to fail more than it works.

After the latest update I can't skip forward or backward 30 seconds anymore. That was a great feature and it should be brought back. Now that button just skips to another station, which is terrible. I also can't just grab the scroller and move it. It jumps randomly either direction no matter where I scroll it to.

Been utilizing this app for many years now. A bit disappointed. They removed the 30 second rewind/ fast forward option for a scanning of stations option.. so if I missed something on talk radio for example it’s very difficult to now rewind.. Also a big disappointment is they removed the record option. I was able to record certain talk radio shows. Not all of them have pod casts. NOW they are really pushing the ADS in hopes you purchase some subscription... very poor choice. Still listen to the app but will be looking for another one soon.

App No Longer Works!

I use tuning radio because of the wide variety of programming that is available. No program is perfect. Lately I’ve been having a problem with tunein playing whenever I’m hooking up on my cars Bluetooth and playing automatically! This is very annoying and the only way to k*** it is to open tunein, open another radio station and then k*** it!

Great app all around , but since they take off the audiobooks of pro-version I took off my $9.99 subscription , love everything else, I hope the they will bring it back soon

I cant edite my favorite stations

This used to be one of my favorite apps for listening to radio. First they add the mandatory commercials so if I am trying to listen to the end of a close game, I’m pretty much going to miss some important stuff. Lately, one of the recurring commercials is about an adult store and adult products (!!!). So have fun listening to that with parents or friends. And finally as others have mentioned, they have removed the forward or rewind function from your recordings. That defeats the whole purpose. So good luck trying to listen to something from your recording that occurs after 90 minutes. No way to fast forward. You have to listen to the whole thing and if you miss it, you have to start all over again. Who designed this???

I hear a lot of English commercials skipping the radio music programming

Be aware! Now we have audio ads on Pro version. This is ridiculous for a paid app. Now I will need to look for another fair option. Unfortunately TuneIn is going the same way as many greedy developers. After sending an email to them, I received an answer saying basically that this is the way it works now. Shame!

Frequent and repeating dropouts and rewinds. Unlistenable several times a day, even with strong AT&T wireless and WiFi signals.

Update: I fully understand I can manually ff or rwd using the scrubber...but try doing that while driving- yeah, distracted driving! I used this avenue instead of customer support email because it’s a feature issue with the app!***end update** I listen to the radio via Tune-In pro every morning. I make several stops where I have to pause and then resume once I continue my drive. Until the latest update, I’ve been able to “skip ahead 30 seconds at a time”....that was replaced with “Scan”...which scans you to another station altogether! There is no apparent way to fast forward through songs you don’t want to listen to and catch back up to “live” without leaving the station and coming back. Please add this feature back!

I like this app and use it a lot. I hate the new update that replaces the 15 seconds forward or backwards with a scan feature. I do NOT need to scan my stations. Sometimes I DO need to rewind or fast forward.

I do love this app. I use it on my phone. I use the service through my many Amazon Echo devices. When I put it on my new Apple Watch (which has cell service), I thought I would be able to ditch the phone and stream directly from my watch. Sadly, the watch app only controls Tune In running on my phone. I would love to stream Tune In channels directly from my watch, please. Thank you!

I loved the app, until now. The latest update made the app unusable. Previous versions had 30sec back and forward buttons next to the play button when listing to a stream. That was extremely useful. You could go back or forward in 30sec intervals to listen to something again or skip through commercials if you paused the playback. Those buttons were changed to scan. Which changes the stream you are listening to similar to a scan function on a radio to scan through stations. I don’t want to do that while I’m listening to a radio station. Please bring back the skip feature. I paid for the pro version and I extremely disappointed that this was changed. I’m going to look for a different program until this feature is returned.

The newest update is not great. I don’t like that I can’t fast forward thru Apple Watch or when screen is locked . Instead now it scans . I don’t like that. Ever since I got this app it's all I listen to, it let's me listen to stations from Mexico it's the best I don't even listen to my local stations anymore u bring Mexico to me in my car in my house thank you.

I use this app all day every day… It was my favorite app until this morning… I listen to talk radio and there was this really cool rewind button that allowed me to go back 30 seconds and hear what the commentator said again… This morning I put my favorite talkshow on and instead of a rewind button, there was a seek button… I pressed it and not only did not get to hear the… (it sucked)

...independently of the iPhone, right ? Only that it’s not. Please make it work and I’ll be back with more stars.

Application often gets stuck repeating the same 20 seconds of audio

Since the update installed 4/2/18 I can't connect to any stations. All I see is a message that says"An error occurred, please try again!"

The TuneIn service is a great alternative to services like SiriusXM Internet for users like me who subscribe for the news and talk channels and podcasts. However, the IOS app constantly skips, rewinds and repeats. And despite touting the premium service as commercial free, I find that the service will push TuneIn stream commercials when you first ‘tune in’ to channels like CNN or MSNBC. The FAQ says that they are just passing through adverts that are part of the content provider’s stream, yet I know from my experience with the non-premium version that the ads playing are from TuneIn. This is misleading at the very least. That said, the variety of content is awesome and if it weren’t for the awful performance of the app, I’d rate the service higher.

why developers have this need of updating apps that are working perfectly, making changes that nobody needs just for the sake of change? I give 1 star because the latest update deleted the controls of rewind, fastforward, stop etc only leaving Play as a control. Now instead of pressing Stop I have to k*** the app to make it stop... great change! I hope you revert these s***** changes and leave the app as great as it was.

I’ve been using it for years, helps me listen to my local stations while I travel (LOTS for work) but it has also helped me discover some excellent stations from abroad. 10 stars from me!

The iPad app is still broken with update 13:5:2. When I open the app it displays “an error has occurred” and will not work. FRUSTRATING. Are you ever going to fix the iPad app???

I like to listen to "Sanctuary Radio". It plays extended versions of '80s retro classics. Songs that aren't part of the limited playlists of the other services. "B sides", all the remixes that didn't make it to the top of the alternative charts back in the 80s. In other words, The music that accurately reflects what was really being listened to in the 80s by people as cool as my friends. You can find what you love (and discover new gems) on TuneIn Radio, and don't be afraid to pay a few dimes for the Pro version because I feel that it gives an enormous amount of "Bang for my Buck". If I want to listen to news stations in my car, The reception is better and more consistent by using TuneIn Radio to access my traffic reports and weather. For example, TuneIn Radio doesn't tune-out when you're stuck in traffic under an overpass and want to hear the traffic report from a local station. I hope that open minded people will give TuneIn Radio the attention (and reviews) that it deserves. Steven C.

Please get the ebooks back! Other than 2 or 3 podcasts; this was the only reason i got the app

Updating review to five stars. I primarily use this app for the unlimited audiobooks. There is no better value for book lovers than their audiobook selection. Other services only allow a couple free books per month. With this app you can listen to as many books as you can all for the price of 7.99 - a bargain. Update: Still going strong and they have added many authors. I have the premium version not the pro. No bugs for me Update: They no longer provide audiobooks and it’s not worth the money for the other products they have. Very disappointing. They went from being great, to being just another internet radio station. Bring back audiobooks, market it properly, and you can make more money. The audiobooks should have been a boom considering other sites charge more per month and the quantity is limited as to what can be listened to. Great loss for listeners.

Never lets you cancel!!! You always have to pay the monthly subscription even if you don’t even have the app anymore. I have tried to cancel many times and ended up canceling my credit card and now I have to change my itoons account as well

With your most recent update, the background activity for my app has skyrocketed and cause my battery drained to be excessive. This needs to be addressed.

The Apple Watch app doesn’t work very reliably. Otherwise, it’s done all but killed-off my SiriusXM usage for a fraction of the price. I like that I can record live radio with the pro version.

Guys You need to stop messing your app. Every time you push an update I feel like playing Russian Roulette. Something working perfectly fine gets messed up. The latest upgrade broke car function. Now your app stopped playing in my can when connected they the wire. It gives some screen saver and freezes with no functionality available to use. STOP MESSING YOUR APP. DO A FAIR QA TO MAKE SURE THE NEW STUFF DOES NOT BREAK THE OLA ONE.

As long as I have iOS 6 and iOS 9 devices, I will continue using Tune In Pro version 5. That is how important being able to record custom URLs is to me. Upon contacting Tune In support, I did get a confession that it was a conscious decision to disable that feature. Note to Tune In: Re-enable that feature and I promise to rate you as five stars. This is the best radio app, seriously. But I'm just as seriously miffed that this one particular feature was deliberately disabled.

What's not to love? Able to record radio programs, schedule recordings, and play them back. Great interface! This app is probably the most used app on my phone! Update 9/16/2017 - STILL the most used app on my iPhone. Check out Buddha Radio! Update 4/12/2018 - STILL the most used music app on my iPhone. Love it. 1000 stars.

The iPad app is still broken with update 13:5:2. When I open the app it displays “an error has occurred” and will not work. FRUSTRATING

The streaming goes to buffering very often and that is pretty annoying. Obviously I have stayed with you because I like everything else but I sincerely wish you could do something about so much buffering. Thank you.

Use this app every day. Never had a problem. Miss the map for choosing a region to listen to.

Streaming anything will use your battery, fine. But this app prevents your screen from turning off, with no option to change this behavior. That makes it easy to tank your battery even quicker and is just dumb.

I can no longer get WBZ 1030 Boston or 710WOR NEW YORK. What gives??

I record my favorite morning show because they have 15 minutes of break for every 20 minutes of show. I will start tune in recording when I wake in the morning. When I get in the car to leave, it only lets me go back 30 minutes or so even though it has recorded much more. If I lose the station (transitioning from WiFi to 3G taking more than a few seconds, for example), the station shuts off, stopping recording. You have a choice at this point. Listen to what you recorded so far or reconnect and listen live with no way to go back in time. Why can’t you start playback of live radio from the start of recording while continuing to record? Why can’t you continue recording when you lose the station and reconnect? These are tremendously annoying oversights.

Hi TuneIn team Great App on my iPhone X. Love using it everyday but there seems to be an issue with BMW integration to idrive where the app stops when I try using it in the background of the iPhone X. It does not keep working in the background with idrive. Could you look into it? Seems that some recent patches was meant to fix the integration but I think it’s still broken ??

TuneIn should have jumped on the Apple TV 4 when it was released. There isn’t a good solution for radio on it, and TuneIn has an app for literally every other Apple platform. Make this happen!

I’ve used them all, keep coming back to TuneIn.

My favorite is “Stuff you missed in history class” the hosts are real and funny, not wooden with an over rehearsed script. the are other likable history pod casts. nice nitch-oriented music channels like the Psychedelic 60s and several Beatles channels. The ones I am describing are all FREE!!!

I’ve been a supporter of this app for years, but no longer. Paid extra for the Pro version. But now they are going “premium” and removing formerly included podcasts and other content from the Pro versions and requiring monthly or annual fees for this content going forward. Not going there. Not EVER going there. Feel betrayed and lied to.

I absolutely hate the new way games are shown with college basketball. Upcoming events used to show you everything that was going on, but now it only shows three? Why in the world would you change that? Horrible change. Change it back. I counted on this app to show me who was playing and what time. It no longer does that for me. It also only shows me a couple of live event so I can’t even listen to all the games I want to listen to. I don’t care about that top ranked team stuff. I want to know who is playing, who is on right now, who I can listen to, and not just put the top ranked teams are.

I’m a user of the regular app. The paid version is not worth your money. They have terrible service and tunein does not care about customer service.

Up until a about a week ago, I have really enjoyed using TuneIn Pro. It was great for listening to everything-audio: sports, podcasts, radio and... also audiobooks. Unfortunately, the folks at Tunein have made a terrible business decision and are removing all audiobooks from TuneIn Pro as of January 15th, 2018. I hope TuneIn reconsiders, otherwise I will be cancelling my annual subscription. #tuneinfail 5 Stars with audiobooks 2.5 Stars without audiobooks

I’m admittedly only a casual listener to old school radio stations. I truly enjoy the ability to access stations from all over the world on TuneIn. I travel internationally myself and I can listen to my home station while traveling abroad. The user interface is good enough for what I need as are the search capabilities. I’m a premium user as I could not deal with the ads.

The audio isn’t the best. Compared to the station apps n the iHeartRadio app for those stations.

Tune in is my favorite app on my iPhone for years but it hardly works with Apple CarPlay....the icon appears in CarPlay but when you launch on car screen it just spins. Of course there could be 3 culprits BMW, Apple, and TuneIn so don’t have much confidence it will get fixed. I still think the tune in company is awesome love on my headphones at gym just wish had it in car.

Each additional update is worse, worse. 15 to 20 seconds it takes to open and listening to music. 30 seconds at repeating parts of a song is sometimes for a long time. Once it was 30 seconds, and 10 seconds. The graphics are unfriendly, the buttons are close to stop, play, forward. Another topic is the current price, I wanted to run for a second my phone, I think it was about $ 10.00. In my opinion there are a few times too many. Does anyone know another application where you record?

TuneIn keeps me connected wherever I go - with radio stations from around the world. I also enjoy the premium recording feature which enables me to record my own program on public radio. I recommend it to all of our deejays as a way to hear themselves and fine tune their on-air work. Thanks

Why must I have to listen to the constant interruptions of ads when I paid for the app?

I love the functionality of this radio application. While in NewYork City I was listening to the 1190 AM gospel station. Now I can take that station or hundreds of other stations back home with me. The the ability to use the "record," and "sleep timer" functions are a plus. However, I just had to add an P.S. to this review - the new icon is hideous. Your management should take the new logo and go get their money back. I'm surest I know I none of the people it is supposed to represent would be proud to be associated with it or even see anything in it that reflects them (unless they are on drugs). : - )

It is way better because you can go back and replay as many times as you want in case you miss something. You can also record and share with friends

I spent $99 for the subscription, only to discover that I must listen to commercial advertising ad nauseum. Not fair, not user friendly ... not cheap!

Please clean up your connection to mini connected. Use me as a pilot or trial user. Example 1: if I save favorites in the app it should show up as favorites in the connected listing. Example 2: Do like Spotify does and let me dismiss out of the safe driving screen so I can change shows (I need this since #1 is done so badly) Example 3: list the podcasts I have lists to or saved so it’s easy to see new ones from that source.

All of a sudden the app doesn’t work with IOS 11.2. What is SSL error? Don’t know...apparently neither do the tech people at TuneIn. Don’t waste your money. 1 star because 0 isn’t available. Garbage.

Love tunein pro and it always went back into car mode when it was the last used. However a recent update has stopped this behaviour so I have to manually select it every-time which is rather annoying when you’re used to using it in the car...

Updated Feb 2018: Used to love this app. Didn’t mind paying a monthly subscription because of the ability to listen to audiobooks. As of Jan.15, audiobooks have been discontinued. Not worth the fee without audiobooks. Bye bye TuneIn. Previous review - 5 Stars Have had this app for the last five years or so. Every update improves it more. Love the audiobooks especially. Good selection. The audiobooks make the subscription an excellent value.

Supposedly, we can go anywhere with the Apple Watch and TuneIn Pro but in fact I am not given a choice about which podcasts show up on my watch. This is an extremely frustrating and virtually useless app if you want to use it on your watch.

This was my favorite and most used app. Then one day - BAM - no more audiobooks. I emailed Tunein but received no response. There are no other programs that I know of that offer unlimited books, so I guess it's only podcasts now through iTunes. Deleted the app and canceled my subscription. Shame.....

I love this app. I’ve had it for quite a few years and I use it every day. I do have one request as I record a lot of stations and there is no way to relabel your recording. Is that something that you could do in the future updates?

All my favorite station now is playing again with my cell LTE internet, before this update most of my favorites stations only works with wi-fi only, now is working with both wi-fi and LTE internet

They’ve instated a new incessant pop-up upon startup asking for a login. This pop-up also makes it very easy to accidentally subscribe to their $100 annual subscription. Tunein used to be great - now they’re just greedy like all the other lousy subscription services.

Tunein has good stuff, but the main reason I paid for premium was for audiobooks. That was great!!! It was a good companion while at work. So Tunein cancelled audiobooks and I cancelled my premium subscription. Maybe try limiting the number of books with a fee for extras over that amount. Maybe three with carryover Just a suggestion.

Still a bit busy but now we need the Apple TV app...

Was unable to get 90% of my channels over cell network. Have extremely fast cell network. Yesterday’s update I’m very happy to say fixed all my problems. Getting everything, even channels I couldn't get on WiFi. Thank You very much‼️‼️👍👍 I’ll tell everyone‼️‼️

I would like to see the app support iOS 11’s smart invert colors.

The ads are sooo annoying!!! I used to love this app, I’ve payed to avoid ads and now it’s every time I turn it on and have to wait 30 secs. Frankly I don’t want to use it anymore. Please take the ads away!!!

Update: Feb 2018 app update has fixed the issue described below. I’ve listened to Coast to Coast AM all night for a couple nights this week without any issues. It’s back to being totally awesome. I’m glad I held off deleting it until the next update came out, as they fixed it the looping issues. Thanks for making a great app... Archived: The app was updated within the last month, causing the streaming radio station to get caught in a loop. Over and over and over, repeating the last couple minutes or 30 seconds of radio instead of continuing to stream forward. Like a scratched record, every time it reaches the “end” of the live stream it’s downloaded, it hops back about a minute or so and replays itself...over and over and over, until you stop it. I’ve tried forwarding in the stream via the 20 sec “rewind” button and backing the stream up and seeing if it will rebuffer and continue forward. I’ve used the slider to try and “push” the stream out of the past so it would rebuffer, as well as the “fast forward” button. None of these had any effect. I’ve relaunched the app only to have it immediately get stuck all over again when listening to live, streaming radio. I’ve verified internet/WiFi connectivity and other apps are not experiencing the same glitch. This app used to be my favorite for listening to live radio which is why I upgraded to the Pro version. However, due to repeated glitches over the last month that have made it unusable, it’s on the verge of being deleted.

On good WiFi, the app keeps skipping the audio back 10 seconds about every 25 seconds. Far too regularly to stand listening.

The app itself is great however due to the decision to remove the entire audiobook library has prompted me to discontinue my subscription, very disappointed now I have to go elsewhere and probably pay per audiobook since I can not find a reasonably priced service that offers access to multiple audiobooks, which is the only reason why I subscribed in the first place. Smh

You can’t record, you can’t reset your password, stations won’t load up. So my favorite app is GARBAGE now.

A great app. I have been using it for years. Have tried many others, however I have not found one to fully compare with TuneIn. Very easy to operate. Only problem: periodic buffering and sometimes slow to start.

What happened to the stations frequency(ie 98.5). It’s so much harder to find a station now. PLEASE put the frequency first!! Otherwise GREAT app!!

I used to love this app but without audiobooks it isn’t any good.

Stop deleting negative reviews until you actually fix the issues!!! If you’re listening to music live and you take a call, the music will continue to cache in the background so that when you get off the call the music starts playing again where it left off. Problem is that after a bit of it playing like that, it’ll skip forward to the current live stream point and lose all the cached playback. I listen in AirPods so I don’t know if that’s playing a part in this, but it does it on cellular or WiFi, it doesn’t matter the connection, but it’s really annoying and needs to be fixed like ASAP.

I am a long tine user. I decided to go premium this year hoping it would reduce the annoying ads that are not the radio station ads.....hello pre roll ads and ads that repeat over and over again..still with a paid subscription! Some ads may be outside of tune in control (radio.com feeds on tune in appear to be notoriously bad) nevertheless its clearly not worth the money and it’s non refundable. Lesson learned. Hopefully others benefit from my mistake. Note to developers, no reply needed. I have corresponded with you before.

Horrible listening on my phone.

This WAS hands down my favorite music app. With every new release it seems to be getting worse and worse. No longer can you skip recorded tracks, you can’t resume a recorded track where you left off, no longer can you scrub recorded tracks and now streaming in general is worse all the tile. Stations are constantly buffering even on WiFi. Streaming via cell is even worse, tracks resuming after signal is lost almost never works. Don’t experience the same thing when streaming Spotify.

I bought the pro app for my radio show thinking I would be able to export my recordings only to find out I can’t! How is anyone supposed to listen to my podcast now 🙄

Automatically recording radio broadcasts with Tunein Radio is not a viable feature. It appears to be more of a marketing gimmick to get you to purchase the pro version only to find out automatically recording your favorite programs is not really doable. I would like a refund.

Very easy to use and navigate.

Love overall features and functionality but some UI elements and the overall app layout definitely have room for improvement. For example, why is the car mode in the browse tab?

Recording is my most use feature on TuneIn and is the reason i dislike updating because it usually gets disabled. Now with ios 11.2 things got even worst, it keeps recording pass AutoStop set time.

Would be nice to be able to delete and reorder favorites with Voiceover. Major downgrade for me.

It's a good app, but it's wrong to put ads in the paid version. Revision: I now have the paid monthly subscription, and it is a great value. I listen to s lot of audiobooks, and I could not afford them if I had to pay for them individually. But the commercials on the news stations are horrible. They play the same commercial half a dozen times an hour. After being subjected to this drivel I can assure you that I will never again buy GEICO insurance or listen to Latino music. Whatever bachata is, I hope it chokes.

Trying to listen to NFL Games is frustrating on many levels. The broadcasts are far behind the live game, long periods of silence or music during time outs, not worth the time or the money. Thinking about the technology available this is really laughable.

I love Tune In Radio Premium, and listen to it daily. However I am disappointed that they are discontinuing audiobooks after January 15, 2018. No explanation was given. I still likely will listen to Tune In frequently, as I listen to radio, tv stations and occasional podcasts, but I wish they would keep the audiobooks. This is my favorite app, use it all the time. I actually love the Pro version because I have my audio books, podcast and radio all in one place. I stopped using my radio in the car.

I have used tunein pro for several years and up until 2 months ago it was fabulous on my apple 4s. Now after 2-3 minutes it freezes and buffers impossibly slow and has to be reset which takes minutes to do. I listen to overseas broadcasts and they cut out. You cannot stream from the watch. The watch app is just a remote control for the iPhone app. So if you thought you could go for a run or bike ride with just your Apple Watch series 4 and leave your phone behind and listen to TuneIn, forget it. The App Store description is misleading.

I downloaded the app and then was prompted if I want to get charged $9.99/ month through my iTunes account. I hit the home button and it used it as my fingerprint approval. Now I’m Unable to discontinue my account, and I’ll probably have to jump through hoops to get my account closed.

The recent version fails to start on my IPAD Air 2 with the with iOS updated. Please fix this app.

I will admit, I enjoyed the free version of TuneIn. I am, however, extremely disappointed to learn that there will longer be audiobooks offered through the app. This was the ONLY reason that I have been paying for a premium membership. I couldn’t reason paying for an Audible subscription (which is ridiculously overpriced), and now I see no reason to continue with a premium subscription.

MAJOR BUMMER. Refuse refunds even on a year sub made before this was announced . Bad news all around.

What happened to the recording for the regular app. I paid for this a while back and used to record stuff to listen offline and now I don't see that feature. Did you guys get greedy? Is that only for people who pay for the monthly premium service? So my question has really never been answered. What the heck happened to the recording function I used for years??? I don't care about it for music. But it was nice to have it for the podcasts so when I could do it at home and listen to it without having to use my data or when I was driving through an area without good reception. I think your customers deserve an answer!!!

Less than a month ago, I purchased an annual subscription because of TuneIn's audiobook offerings. This week they've posted a notice on their audiobook pages that they will no longer offer audiobooks after 1/15/18, and they will not provide a refund for the money they charged for a bogus subscription. If there's a feature you like, avoid a long-term commitment with this company because they will honor it only at their convenience. Buyer beware!

Update 2/12/2015 It appears that once one problem is fixed, another occurs. Every morning I start my tune in app on my iPad and it plays for a few minutes then it just stops playing for no apparent reason. I then open it up again, it starts playing for a few minutes, close the magnetic case and after a few minutes it stops playing again. I'm about ready to call it quits! Another update 12/17/2014: Pretty reliable app for the most part but still has spotty performance where there isn't any sound even when buffering stops. Also, doesn't have horizontal orientation at least not for my iPhone 6plus. Seems like that should be an easy fix or no-brainer particularly with all the tablets/phones that have this feature today. An update to my below review. The buffering issue seems to have improved somewhat but I'm still experiencing spotty performance. When I open the tune-in app, it will look like it's open and tuned in but there's no sound. I'll attempt to go to the home page and do a refresh but to no avail. In many cases I'll have to shutdown my phone or delete the app and reload it in order for it to work. App still has a few bugs... I really want to like this app but it gets spotty at times and consistently buffers while listening to certain stations on my iPhone 6plus. Don't think it's the phone as I'm showing LTE and at least 2 bars so... Another problem I have, which it didn't used to do, is that when I leave the main screen it closes or music stops playing (does it sometimes now - not as frequent but still happens). Seems like I should be able to listen to app even if it's not on my main screen.

I use tunein to listen to books more than 8 hrs daily as well as many of my coworkers. We are all very disappointed that as of January 15, 2018 audiobook content will no longer be available. For this reason we are all canceling our subscriptions to tunein.

Getting rid of audio books. Don’t get. Waste of money now that they got rid of audio books.

Imagine TuneIn completely independent of the phone, running all by itself on the watch S3 LTE, playing through the watch speaker. Is this the future? Can you imagine the future, TuneIn programmers? I can.

The screen brightness used to dim after a few minutes but it no longer does. Also when the sleep timer expires it no longer turns the screen off like it used too. I find this annoying.

My program simply will not load. I have 6s plus!

I listen to talk radio and everything I hear is at least a day or more old. Some stations repeat content I've heard over and over for weeks, even months. There are also no good conservative feeds. This seems like just another left propaganda machine.
