Scrolling down long playlist can be a pain on iOS. In the Android version of the app you can drag a scroll bar down to reach parts of a playlist faster. In the iOS version I find myself manually swiping down to scroll. I also can't remove songs in my playlist on the iOS version. Please fix this. Overall not bad

I believe Spotify could be the best music app at the moment

I am experiencing playback issues after the most recent update. If I click the top corner to see upcoming songs, the list doesn’t move down when the next song starts. There are several issues related to this, which I won’t go into detail about. Also I have a problem with an update that happened a while ago, I believe it was the one that added microphone functionality to searches. Firstly, if I use the mic to search, it just shuffled my search query instead of showing me the results for my search keywords (useless in other words). Also, recent searches no longer show what I’ve recently searched. It just shows what I’ve played from searching. I search songs to put in queue. It seems like you think I want to search every song I listen to and play it instead of just adding songs to queue. These issues need to be fixed.

I just left Apple Music in favor of Spotify. I am loving that it creates playlists for me. I’m on a fixed income so I really love that it’s free. It’s made it possible for me to enjoy streaming music.

Spotify, I’m frustrated that there is no option to signup for Go premium in the app . That’s pretty inconvenient for me to be directed to another webpage to signup for Go premium option . It would be more convenient for you to build/create a payment processing option so the app can store and take card payments . This would be a faster process for customers , like me , to add credit/debit card which only take a few seconds to add to personal account. .....Approved card! End of story! I just want to enjoy Go premium.

There is a ton of commercials! It used to be one. Then it went to 2 and now I just heard 4. I stopped listening to Spotify for a while and now I know why! Too many commercials! Pandora doesn't even have this much commercials. At least every now and then Pandora offers an hour free from commercials.

I got a student account with Spotify Hulu and showtime and yeah it’s great! And cheaper. They’ve just changed it a lot for those who don’t have premium so you don’t have many options when making your music unless you make a specific playlist

And they should make a free trial with out paying

you cant swipe a song to add it to your library anymore. it doesnt even have the + for you to add it when the song is currently playing. if it was working fine the entire time why change it? especially to that? terrible update.

I used to love it when I first started using it years ago but now it’s really bad with recent updates I couldn’t add full albums to playlists it was each song separately, there was only one lying add that said thanks for watching now 30 minutes of free music was really 10 to 15, now it’s one song every 45 minuets and the rest is ad after ad

Spotify is great! It’s the best music platform in the industry by far. However, in future updates, I would love for the developers to add the ability to see who follows a playlist. We can see who follows our user profile, so I’d like to be able to see who follows my specific user created playlists. Regardless of this feature ever being added or not, I can’t see myself ever giving Spotify a rating below 5 stars. Keep rolling in the good tunes Spotify, and maybe think about implementing my suggestion. Just think about it.

Many reviews point to issues in the unpaid service. I’m a bit amazed, honestly. Would you be fussing over Netflix putting constraints around playing their new show that cost $30mil to make if you paid them $0? Probably not. I’m actually amazed that Spotify allows people to play much of anything without a paid account, that’s fairly generous. But the real point is this: Spotify is primarily subject to the demands of music labels. But even if they weren’t, each artist needs to get paid for the music they’ve made, and Spotify’s massive development team (that spends their every day building this app) needs to be paid for their time as well. It’s a beautifully built app, with tons of label partnerships and exclusives, excellent development and user interface design, and audio quality that makes the whole Tidal idea obsolete. Give it a try (the PAID version, that is), and you’ll probably stick with it. Students and families can get a Premium account for less than a latte a month, so any objections my friends have had about cost falls on deaf ears here. I used to say “once the music labels get with the program and I can listen to everything in one spot for a fair price, I’ll stop pirating”. That day has come, and I’m a happily paying customer of 5 years now.

The mobile app is great, I just have one issue. It would be nice to be able to sort the songs on your playlists like the desktop app (name, date added, etc.) instead of having to constantly scroll all the way down a 2k song playlist. Other than that, quality app.

The only thing this app lacks is the feature the computer version has, like looking at your friends current listening tracks. Other then that it’s a great app!

I listen to Spotify a lot while I drive. It’s constantly asking you to watch videos to get 30 minutes of ad-free music, which is not the safest to do while driving. Then, when you want to skip a song, you’re forced to look at your phone so you can close out the pop ups that appeared in order to get to the skip track button. I’m not willing to pay $120/year for this service, but that’s what ads are for. I can accept ads, but this needs to be made safer to use while driving.

I recently found an amazing playlist, it only has 14 songs but after the first song it spirals to a completely different genre and plays songs I don’t personally like. Now when i hit play on the album it plays songs not listed! It’s getting slightly annoying. Also when I get to listen to an ad for the next 30 mins of free music, I get two to three more ads anyway after the first song.

I’ve had Spotify for years and Pandora in my opinion was the only music streaming service that could come close. With “The Music Genome Project” that Pandora has driving their service, having a good “shuffle & forget” run of music came pretty easy with a decently trained channel. Spotify was always good for finding “that song” and selectively putting together your playlists however. The “student rate” that Spotify offers right now (as of February 2018), makes it a great deal at $4.99 a month. Spotify does use “SheerID” to verify active enrollment so don’t think you can pull a fast one on them. The student rate also comes WITH the “limited commercials” version of the video streaming service, Hulu too at that price, but I’m not a fan of what they consider “limited” so I still think Spotify is deal by itself for $5 a month. I didn’t have anything bad in particular to say about Spotify until recently. I had this at a four star before now, but now have to think about dropping it to a three. Spotify is really getting behind on being compatible with devices and, other outlets I use to listen to music. Using Spotify with Apple Watch 3 is a no go sadly. That’s what honestly brought this rating down. In order to enjoy Spotify on my MacBook, I have to use the web service, but as far as an app? It ain’t there. Only user made apps, which are decent, but that’s Spotify’s job. Honestly, I’m being to h****** them. They do deserve your business I can say that. They just need to be reminded that they MUST stay competitive and relevant out there. Innovate and create new ways for users to connect instead of letting them be shutout by the competition. The bottom line is that Spotify hasn’t done anything ground breaking to remain competitive in a market that has been slowly filling up with contenders trying to take that #1 spot. So basically when I no longer qualify for the student rate and have to pay the full price of $9.99 a month (without Hulu), I WILL FOR SURE be exploring my options because while I am a fan of the service, the functionality, and the student rate, Spotify isn’t leading the pack in huge strides or anything. The competition with other music streaming services like Apple, Prime, & Pandora is SO close, that the in time it has taken you to read this novel of a review I’ve written, Spotify might have already been beaten out by the competition. Okay, now go and rest your eyes from all this reading. Chances are slim that you have an attention span capable of making it this far without pictures. 🔥

If the app has been in the background for a while it freezes for about a minute and sometimes crashes when it is foregrounded

I had spotify deleted for a while and i recently downloaded it again and I don't like the new update. It's very hard to navigate and I don't like how I can't see the songs in a playlist, i have to click again to see what's there. The old interface was much simpler and easier to use. Please go back or at least bring back some of the old elements.

I wish I had more control of my playlist. Musify, for example, is much easier to choose songs and listen to them. I wish I could do the same here. Even with a limited number of songs to have on a playlist, I would be much happier than going through numerous steps and then not able to play what I have chosen.

Where do I get and pay for premium?

Ok so Spotify can be good for a bit, and the thirty minutes of add free music sounds good. But actually, the add free thirty minutes they states is usually BS because of glitching or just changing the playlists they don’t upgrade for a month or more. And there are so many ads.. very very clingy and repetitive ones. I used to love Spotify until all the ads started showing up.

When I try listening to playlists in the car or during a workout, the songs skip before they’re finished. Also playlists that I’ve never listened to show up in my history after I reopen the app. I’ve changed my password and disconnected devices. Nothings changed

This is better than ITunes. You can listen to your favorite songs any time, any place, and with anyone. You can also downloads songs so you can play them offline. It’s better when you have a Spotify gift card. You can listen with no add and no problems. I recommend Spotify more than anything.

In recovery, for me, listening to music puts me in a good mood. Here I’m able to find my favorite music. Some new and some throwback tracks. All of them motivating me to be happy and positive throughout my journey.

I’m surprised at how much music they have! I don’t follow your “hits” lists or pop music for that matter therefore I’m surprised at what they do have in the genres that I do follow. When I do searches, I’m more surprised at the few musical groups I haven’t found than those I do find! Very good work!

I love love LOVE spotify but it needs to be updated asap!!! All my songs glitch and i add to the queue and it totally skips that song and goes into the next, and i have to tap on a song if i want it to play next. I cant even move it so that its next it just plays the next song.

So any time I try to listen to music an ad comes on as they do. However for the past month they’ve absolutely refused to load under any circumstance so it’s just been an ad comes on to not load for me to restart it or delete the app to play music til another app that never comes on comes on. But this situation is so messed up, I downloaded pandora dawg. Like I committed a sin due to this bug. Pandora, I’m shook dude. Updated! They fixed it I no longer have to commit sins and use Spotify dude. That was a problem for so long, I’m infinitely happy. Update made interacting and navigating the app far more confusing and annoying. Removing entire features that were expected out of a music app such as organizing things in to albums, Singles, etc. Popular song list is missing for some reason. Scrolling through the artist list is now a jumbled up mess because they increased the size of each artist and removed the grid like grouping they had last time. You know when you accidentally zoom in on a web page in google chrome and all the text and pictures are over sized and you need to scroll way too much to actually read or watch anything? That is the entire app for you.

The music selection is great! However, I had several playlists that were deleted from my profile 😡😭

I love the app except for the fact that there are so many ads. I understand that there’s a pro option I could get but I’m heckin broke so I use the free version, but there are just way too many ads. I would understand ads every half an hour or so but it seems like I can’t get through three songs without an ad. And then when the ads do come along it’s at least a minute and a half of ads that you can’t skip, along with pop ups every time I enter the app to change the playlist. (Oh yeah I also don’t really like the fact you can only shuffle the playlist and only do it once) but other than that I think it’s a nice app

I have iOS 11.4.1 and iPhone 6s and I can’t find the people I’m following already to see their playlists like the old app. I can’t find people using their username. When someone sends me their playlist, I can’t click on their name and see their profile and follow them. What is up???? Very annoying! I had to use my old iphone5s and an old version of Spotify to follow my friend who sent me her playlist and I can only see her playlists that she has created from that phone too. Also, there is no help feature, so I’m having to put it all on this review.

You guys need to put a delete button in the phone app for those songs that we wanna delete. This works on the computer but it doesn’t in our phones. Also, in the phones, the first song that you put in the playlist, years ago is the first song that you see. We need to see from the last to the first obviously.

Dear, Spotify please help me. Whenever I listen to my music it pauses randomly when Im have my headphones in and it will also skip a song and pause and play really quick like really weird. SPOTIFY PLEASE HELP

For the people that don’t have premium they should get unlimited skips because it’s not fair that you have to wait 1 hour to get 6 skips. The people that don’t have premium should get unlimited skips Also if you don’t have premium the people should at least be able to download their music

I can’t even open the app I have an iPhone 7 the update is messing with my Spotify

Okay so I’ve had Spotify for a while and in like June I got a free trial of Spotify premium but I canceled it before I had to start paying and after that, the app on my phone changed everything and it all looks different and I don’t even know how to use it now, it’s basically forcing me to get premium for it to go back to how it used to be. On my iPad, it is still the same as it used to be and that’s what I normally listen to music on at home because I don’t need premium to pick a certain song and stuff so I didn’t really care about my phone but now that school had started, I listen to music on my phone, well at least want to but I can’t even listen to what I want without putting it in a playlist and listening to the entire playlist.

Y’all ready know how great Spotify is. Just download it.

i was a very avid spotify user. i used it everyday and listened to it more than the music downloaded on my phone. for the past week or so, it would crash anytime i open the app. no matter what i do it continues to crash when i open it and wont even allow me to it. ive redownloaded it, gave it a few days, restarted my phone *several* times. but absolutely nothing works

I hate the suggested track feature. I just want to listen to my music with out other music playing.

Stop g****** telling me what the song barcode is and that I can share it with my friends. I'm well aware of this, I just want to add tracks to my playlist without having to thumb through 500 click throughs. Also you should have a "suggested" or "recently added" or "recently listened to" section in playlists so I don't have to shuffle thru my folders to find what I'm looking for.

The only reason I haven't gone premium and don't use it anymore is because you don't have my favorite song.

Please let me skip more songs and don’t add songs to my playlists

The last update signed me out and now gives me an error message when I try to log in. Please fix ASAP

this app has been supplying me with music for years! i love it so much, you can even listen to playlists your friends make you n such. spotify has provided me from my rap phase to my emo phase and back over again😅

I love that songs are organized into a playlist. It introduces you to new music with ease. The only problem that I have is with the ads. My parents won’t pay for anything digitally. So for us people like that could you possibly cool it with the ads. Thanks, love you Spotify ❤️

I hate that I only have a certain amount of skips to listen to songs. Music is peaceful and nice to listen to, but when someone has to pay to listen to music they want it’s just annoying and selfish of Spotify to do that. I hope one day it would go back to the old version 😔

Even though I don’t have premium I shouldn’t be getting ads every other song. Pandora does a couple ads and I won’t hear another one until I open the app again. And for Spotify premium it costs a arm and leg.

When I choose the songs I want, Spotify then adds music that I don’t want and have to go and dislike them so it won’t play anymore. I just want my music but besides this it is a good app!

Having music available to me just makes my day and my tasks much more easier and enjoyable. Thank you!!!

I just switched to Spotify from Pandora and I just love the selection and quality of the Latin singers it offers.

But I wish it can keep playing the same song over and over again until you put a different song. Other than that, THIS IS AMAZING!!!! IT HAS ANY SONG!!!! Love it!

I’ve never had any problems with Spotify, but lately the que hasn’t been working. I’ll arrange the songs that I’ve qued, then it will end up frozen, showing the song I started off listening to before queuing other songs, and the way I arranged them will no longer be there. I started having this problem about a week ago, and I still have problems even after updating the app.

Get rid of lyric genius. I always accidentally open up lyric genius when I’m trying to exit the song. Honestly who’s reading lyric genius anyway? It would be better to have the lyrics rather then the meaning of the lyrics. Most people are on the go while using Spotify, they are not sitting at home and dedicating specific time to listen to Spotify and read lyric genius. Otherwise Spotify is great.

Queue freezes anytime i change the song. When i try to to queue more songs, it just stays the same. When i tap on a different song, it just closes the player altogether. Spotify please fix this 😓

I use to be able to move songs around freely in my playlist (i use premium). Ever since Saturday September 1, 2018, the ability to move music around freely was gone. The playlist doesn’t show the current song playing. Please fix. Ive tried everything from uninstalling, to restarting phone.

I pay for Spotify premium which is $10 a month and it is so worth it! My only complaint is that they don’t have no social media by wiz Khalifa but it seems like only SoundCloud has it. Besides that, Spotify is the best music app you could possibly use by a long shot.

My biggest issue with this app is the genius behind the lyric. It is the absolute worst thing to ever be implemented into this app next to the weird mini music videos they added to specific songs. The worst part is that I cannot get rid of it, I’ve tried and it still won’t go away. It doesn’t auto show when it goes to a song with it, but when I try to swipe up to see the rest of my playlist, guess what appears instead. It is the most frustrating thing. I could care less about what the artist had in mind when writing the song, and if I were curious, I’d go to genius.com to see exactly what it was. At least give an option to completely shut this off and not a “you can partially shut it off” option.

Great music, but if you don’t have the premium version you can’t skip all the bad songs that they try to stick in.

So I got this because it’s the best music app I know and I updated to premium and it didn’t even work there are still ads and the skips are still limited!!! Otherwise it is still the the best music app I could have.

Plays okay much of the time. However, ‘your’ suggested tunes actually stink, pretty much always. Does your program even analyze at all the types of music on our favorites list, or do you just pick suggested new tunes out of a hat. Seriously, a two year old could do better!

Who chooses the songs that play around your requests? Some of the worst c***** pop music I’ve ever heard.

I love this music streaming service, and prefer it over all other alternatives. They create daily/weekly playlists specific to you, and it’s because of these playlists that I have been able to expand my music taste. However, the main problem I’m running into with this app is the process of removing songs from your library. It is WAY TOO EASY to delete a song from your library, without ever even noticing. Both on the computer and on mobile, I have had issues with mistakenly deleting songs. On the computer, the “delete song” button is RIGHT NEXT to the “play song” button, now how does that make sense? And on mobile, one wrong swipe (which usually happens when you’re not looking) and your song is deleted without you even getting to see which song got removed. Spotify, for the love of god, a simple fix like an extra notification saying “are you sure you want to remove this from you library?” would make me and so many other people happier with the app. Additionally, an extra playlist or something of the sort should be added which has all of your “recently removed songs from your library” to combat the accidental removal. I sure hope someone who can do something about the app sees this!

All I want is the ability to change audio quality based on whether I’m on WiFi or not. Update after update and this is never included. 5 star app otherwise but I’m not getting the full experience because of this.

I can’t listen to music on this new update it’s really Annoying. Spotify used to be my favorite but now I just have no idea how to use it. It’s like I search a song and it brings me to a pile of songs when I really just want the one I want.🤬🤬

There should be an easier way to delete a song. It should be an option to delete it directly from the song. There has been instances in which I decide that I no longer want a song on my playlist and there’s no easy way to do so other than going to the playlist, scrolling down to find the song, and deleting it that way.

I like how it stays on even though your phone is off.but I don’t like how it adds songs to your playlists and when you delete it off your play list it adds another

i got premium and it’s honestly a legend. they make the best mixes for me based on the artists ive listened to. it’s cheap and ion have to listen to ads 10/10 recommend it’s worth the money. also v easy to use a 90 y/o could understand 😌🤠🤹🏾‍♂️🕺

i hate the new version. it’s so hard to scroll through music because you cant. you have to save an artists album song by song now instead of saving the whole thing. i absolutely hate it and i’m not using spotify anymore unless they change it.

First and foremost trying to listen to an album is h*** because you click shuffle play and for some reason a totally random song that has nothing to do with the album or artist starts playing but for some reason it says it’s playing songs from that album which it’s NOT. This also happens with my playlists. If I specifically click on a playlist it’s because I want to listen to those specific songs, not some random similar songs. What’s the point of making a playlist if you can even listen to what you put on the playlist. Also the fact that you can’t simply see all the songs on the playlist anymore makes it difficult. I don’t care about what “I might also like” I want to listen to the songs I’m adding to the playlist. And WHY is there a whole tab for Spotify premium like ok we get it, we’re too broke to buy it so stop WAVING IT IN OUR FACE. It won’t work. If I had the money I would buy it because honestly regular Spotify is kinda crap. Spotify has great potential and it used to be a really good app but the update is horrible.

Spotify is my favorite music app in the world. I have had SoundCloud, Apple Music, IHeart Radio and Pandora. Spotify Premium is also very worth it, there is nothing to complain about. Spotify is also perfect for teens, there are so many playlists to choose from an you can even make your own. I’m actually listening to Spotify right now as I’m writing this review! 😂

They have so many selections to choose from. Any mood I’m in I can hit the tag and have hours of music to drive that mood. There is a lot more directly to what I want right off the bat vs others where you have to look and search. I love it and love the music.

I like that it has different albums for all artists and you can make your own playlist I hate all the commercials we get you want us to have premium but some us doing see a reason in it. :)
