This is one of my favorite games, but is also one of my least favorite games. I got it when I was younger, deleted it, got it again a couple years later, deleted it, and got it again recently. It is definitely one of the best piano games, but the ads. They are so annoying for every song there is one before and after every song. They are both 30 seconds, and it is pretty much the same ads over and over again. I am not going to buy these games. They are so stupid. Also, the first time I got it, there were tons of free songs, and fewer ads. Despite all of this, it is a great game, but they need to lessen the ads otherwise I will delete this game. I spend way more time watching ads than playing the game. I do think it is a fun game to play though.

I really like this game, it’s a lot fun and challenging without being frustrating. There’s a variety of pieces to choose from with varying difficulty and they mostly sound pretty good. However the problem is that this app is very stingy with its content unless you pay for the overpriced VIP membership. I would be willing to pay a flat rate for all this app but not for a recurring fee. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this.

I spend $20.00 to buy songs and you make me watch advertisements before I can play them?? Total DEAL BREAKER, I won't spend another dime. Hire someone who knows how to run the business side of things. To the A**Holes who destroyed this app. Clearly you’ve ignored your customers, and like thousands of others, I’m deleating the app. Greed and arogance are a dangerous combination.

Again all I have to say is what a shame!! What a cool app and a lot of fun but I will be deleting this app immediately due to the OVERWHELMING amount of ads they force you to watch before AND after every single song you play. It’s just sad how money hungry they are for you to buy a subscription. 1 star for sure and won’t be changing it no matter what they do with this app

I understand a company needs to make some cash and pay for the rights to use a song. However, watching an ad every time I choose a song and finish a song is lame. I used to Use a subscription, but stopped playing. Just came back and I will not be supporting this nonsense.

I started somewhat 4 years ago and was so bad I couldn’t even play twinkle, but now I play it every day and irl I leaned to play a few songs from Magic Piano

I love this game overall, don’t get me wrong, but whenever I have to use 4 fingers for a note, the song pauses. It makes my song score and Daily Challenge score lower, and I don’t like that. Please fix this issue ASAP.

It’s a fun game. I can play a lot better than I did a few years ago, but something confuses me. There are a few songs (Chasing Cars & Where My Demons Hide) that I’ve played, but now I can’t. It says I still need more Smoola, but it shows the stars I got on both of them! (By the way, they only appear in Suggested song, but not in My Songs!) Not saying this makes the game bad, just confusing. Could someone tell me what’s happening?

I used to play this game back when it was fresh and new. I deleted it because I only had an iPod and had to rely on internet. After a few years I finally was able to scoop up enough money for my Mom to get a new phone and was able to acquire her old phone. I downloaded it again and deleted it again and again and again. Each time I would go to download it again I would wonder why I deleted it because I love music. After playing for a few hours I figured out why. The game completely drains my phone battery I don’t know if it’s my phone or the game but my phone is always burning up by the time I’m done playing. Another reason is because I never really spent my time on the app playing games. I was always fighting the urge to throw my phone across the room because of the insane amount of advertising the app does. Like seriously every time I come out of a song and go in there is always and ad. It’s not like their different ones it’s the same ones over and over again. Really it’s as bad as election year. Come on. One last reason I’ll share but my list has a few more points but I feel like I’m wasting my time on this. I feel like all games have a tendency to do this. I mean if I were to create a game I would do it to because I want it to be a profitable. All the songs that are trending and popular are V.I.P. It’s actually aggravating and I’m a very short fused guy it only takes a little spark to get me riled up. I want to be able to relax and play games. I did not download the app to watch ads and waste my time and money.

It ok, it’s just that I hate that I, and anyone else, has to have 25 coins for a new song, and when I see a song I LOVE it says V.I.P Overall, it’s great

This is by far my favorite app of all time! But... it’s got a one thing that isn’t so great. when ever I try to watch an video to get more smoola, it lets me watch it but then doesn’t give me the smoola and I’ve tried over and over again but it still won’t work!!! And when ever I get free songs it says that I need to pay for them even after it lets me play them!!! And sooooo many of my favorite songs need VIP access and I don’t have the money for something a s***** as a couple of songs on an app!!! But I still love this app even when it kills me off of it repeatedly and sometimes forces me to delete it along with all the songs I’ve payed for!!! And don’t even get me stated on the freaking billions of ads!!!! They suckkkkk!!! And almost every time I mess up it either doesn’t say anything or says something completely different then what I did and I know what I did but it’s kinda annoying to have it not tell me.

I used to play this game back in the day and would make it to where I had 3 stars on each difficulty on every song.. I decided to download it again, and even though it is fun to play, this app is a total money grab now. -Wanna play a song that you like? Get vip! -Wanna play one of the “free songs”? Watch a 30-40 second ad. (Even after you watched an ad for that said song, you have to watch another ad to play it in a different difficulty.) -Finish a song? Watch another 30-40 second ad. -Wanna buy a song that costs 25 coins? Keep leveling by playing the same few songs in your gallery or watch ads to play the “free songs”. If you have a lot of time to spare or have money to waste, spend it on this app. Me? I don’t. Goodbye Smule!

Whenever I try to go up a level( level two) I can’t because it’s not reading that I’m putting down three fingers. I’ve checked multiple times and I can 100% conclude that it’s the app and I’m putting down three fingers. I can’t really play medium or hard mode any more because of my problem. This has been happening for around two weeks now, what should I do?

Gameplay was fun, but dude... you have to DUMP money into this game if you really want to enjoy it.

I used to love this game and used to play it for days. I’ve had it downloaded off and one for around six years I think? But once they introduced VIP, I noticed a shift. Some of the songs I had earned and bought with coins were taken out of my library and I now needed to pay for a membership to get them back. I downloaded it again about six months ago, and honestly it’s difficult to stay on the app for more than five minutes due to the amount of ads bombarding me (one before and after a 2-3 min song). Hopefully these reviews are been overseen by the creators and make a change.

There’s WAY to many ads, it’s so irritating that there’s an add before AND after every song you play.. this makes it really not even worth my time, I feel like I’m spending more time in ads than I am playing the music..

I got a account on this app and when I composed a song on MY OWN ACCOUNT IT SAYS THAT I HAVE TO BUY IT WITH SMOOLA!And I feel like that is stupid...Overall I LOVE this app but can you make a few changes like making more popular songs for free and I would like some old fashion music like Tank Girl soundtrack or They Might Be Giants,Perry Como, Blues Brothers, The B-52’s,Sound of Music, and etc. Please Reply to this Thank you !😀

I hate that the free songs dont cycle to more songs. I hate playing songs over and over. Or depend on videos it get points to get more songs when the videos are limited too. So its grown REALLY boring.

Smule, your game is fun, and easy to play. The problem is the ads. We get to play a 15 second song, then have to sit through 30 seconds to a minute of ads after every single one. Many of the ads have false Xs, making them even more annoying. I get that you need to make money, but the frequency and types of ads that have taken over your app has turned it into something that I could play for hours (which I did when it was newer and without this problem) to the next app that I’ll be deleting with about five minutes of play time because it’s become more of an annoyance than a game. Fix it, and maybe I’ll be back.

I signed up for the 7 day trial, which if I were to not cancel by tomorrow will cost $7.99 per week. Well, I will be cancelling, most definitely. I can’t see any benefits, if this trial is supposed to show me what my $7.99 per week will get, the answer is not much. Annoying ads before and after every song, of the few songs that actually are available. Most of them cost additional fees. So, they expect $7.99 per week, and then you still have to pay for each song? No, thank you.

I used to love this game. It was great until this year’s updates came along. Please remove the ads!!! They are so annoying when you are trying to play!!! Also, can you relocate that 7 day free trial window? Just please stop begging for money over and over again and move the window somewhere else or don’t have it up at all. Possibly the worst app ever. There is an add every time I open a different screen than the home screen. At first I thought this was a bug. But no, that is how it is intended

This is pointless, I liked it at first but it kept playing adds that I THOUGHT i could close but I could not. Look if you want to make some moola you should consider making a ‘watch 1 add for 20 coins’ sorta thing. it would make the game a lot easier and might even encourage people to stack up on coins while making you money on ads. sorry

Too many ads!

I love this app soooo much. I would give it 5 stars. BUT I just opened the app up after a a couple weeks without playing it much and um A LOT (if not all) of the songs I used the coin things to buy are gone. G O N E. I had ~6 hamilton songs and seagulls. None of them are here. And I had 3 stars all difficulty’s on all but one or two of those I was still working on. Halp plz ;-;

I have to say lately I’ve been unsatisfied by any of smules content because they have been updating many of their apps making them more pricey and hard to use I think that they should start making more accessible for their customers it has alsoCome to my attention that they have been getting small readings lately and that’s understandable because they have not been doing very good job but I think there is a way to turn this all around I believe that if they try to make everything available for everyone then maybe they will get more views and customers this may put them on the right track it is also possible that maybe putting ‭More ads into their apps maybe they will be making more money instead of ripping their customers off I hope they look into this and they understand thank you for listening.

When I downloaded this app it said I cannot play it in the first place but I didn’t do five star because when I put it on my moms iPad it was pretty good so I kind of like a five star rating because… I kind of like One of the songs

There’s a glitch so only two easy songs show up! Also too many dumb ads and also when I had it not long ago before, literally almost all of the songs you have to a vip for or buy! Like what the heck! No!

Can’t play any of the good songs without being connected to WiFi. I pay for unlimited data so being connected to WiFi is not ideal for me. Having this app is literally useless if I’m never connected to WiFi.

This is just ridiculous. The amount of ads you are bombarded with is insane. I literally have an ad after every song and lots of times in between. There are almost no songs available that are any good unless you have vip. Heck, there isn’t even a way to earn the songs. Moral of this story: Cut back on the ads and make a way to earn songs instead of being pay to play.

3 words, to many ads

I wanted to use the free trial for a little bit, just to play some of the songs I liked. Well, it reactivated the trial somehow after I cancelled it. I didn’t do anything to reactivate it. And it didn’t even tell me. So, now I’m out $25 cause of it. You guys need to at least say it when you charge for the subscription cause I had no clue it was happening. I don’t have a job of my own, and I was using a credit card my parent opened for me. I hope you guys read this and figure out a way to fix this issue so people know when they’re gonna be charged. Or, instead of telling the, after they’re charged, tell them a few days before so they can cancel if need be.

How do you DELETE the APP if you realize it’s not what you expected! I thought it was a “Keyboard” that I could just go on and play whenever I wanted to but I was mistaken! I was playing Piano Tiles (way better app by the way) and I remembered that this app existed, so I proceeded to download it. Once I had opened it, I went to go see what songs were available. All other songs costed money, except for the 8 free ones that were on there. It was outrageous. It was just awful. You will only like this app if you are rich and have a buttload of cash to blow off on smule coins and a VIP Pass.

Basically every time you click anything, an ad pops up. It’s so annoying I’m just trying to have fun but instead it makes me frustrated. Don’t download if you don’t want to waste your time watching ads just to play one song.

I used to play this when I was younger, and it was really fun and relaxing! Now it’s ridden with ads, which makes all apps significantly worse than it was. Not only that, but the Smulas or whatever the currency is called, disappear almost every time I play the app. It’s from countless unreasonable things, such as being offline, not showing up after watching an ad, randomly disappearing. Not only do the Smulas disappear, they are near impossible to get without watching ads PLUS the non composed songs are RIDICULOUSLY high for a song! All in all, don’t waste your time, is ruined by modern money making through ads

The songs are great, but there are way too many adds. All of the top songs are only played by VIP’s and there aren’t many of those around. Sorry, but no.

You buy songs easily but they taken them away after some time so you cant keep the songs even after YOU ALREADY BOUGHT THEM.

So my son must have downloaded this scam and I get an email saying my weekly subscription has been paid. All access 7.99 plus tax every 7 days

I understand making money, but with this app, you open the app, have to watch an ad. You play a song you have purchased with “smoola,” you have to watch an ad. Any “free” songs, even after claiming, you have to watch an ad before AND after the song. And not short ads, either. Used to be a fun app, now it’s just annoying.

Yes there are vip songs, but did you know that if you search the song you want in, it will pop up the exact same song made as vip? Try it xD

I love this game, I always have, but apparently when I do a commercial to get coins, it doesn’t give me anything back. It loads, and then goes back to the amount of coins I had before and it’s getting really annoying. If you could please fix this it would be amazing.

I love this app, but the this is ridiculous! I have bought the vip thing, so I can play any song I want...but once that subscription is over, I can only play free songs! I find that annoying. There are only like six free songs and the rest you have to buy with coins or can only play with vip access. I think that once you play a song with vip access you should be able to play that song for free. Other than that it’s a pretty good game.

Too bad there are so many ads and the only way to remove them is to pay over 30 dollars a month. That’s too much money for me. It should be 30 a year, not a month. It’s actually 7.99 a week. Crazy! This app is terrible.. I was automatically signed up for an $8.99 weekly subscription to a VIP pass which I did not realize. I have been charged every week and for the months, I couldn’t figure out what was charging my card considering it was labeled ITunes in my credit statement, but found out that it was an app that I haven’t played in months that has accumulated over $400 worth of charges in these past few months. I would like a refund, considering I wasn’t aware that I was subscribed, and I wouldn’t play the game anyways. This is horrible, do not download if you don’t want to drop hundreds of dollars on a piano game.

So, it has gone downhill. First of all, almost all the songs cost money or coins and I find it hard to get all of that because you only get like 25 each time you level up. WAY too many ads. And I don’t really like the song choices in the app. They need to step their game up.

So you know that one option that says: Free Smula, or something like that? Yah, I have watched about 20 videos expecting money, But FOR SOME REASON it doesn’t show my amount of currency, it just shows I have 5 coins. I wasted time just watching absurd ads!!!!!! Ads after ads after ads.You come to this app to play your favorite song but it costs 25 smoola.Then you gotta watch 5 ads to get 25 smoola.And that’s just one song.You also get an ad after you play or before you play your song.Frustrating!

My daughter downloaded this app and tried it out and then deleted it. Now I realize that she was being billed $7.99 a week as part of a subscription. Total scam and ripoff. I can't believe Apple alloews and supports this.

I got charged for a week subscription after cancelling two days later into the trial. I’m currently attempting to get a refund. This is very poor practice. The app would be great if money wasn’t being taken without permission.

This app used to be a lot of fun to play. But now Smule seems to have quite literally gone down in the dumps. Without paying for the ‘premium’ features, you’re stuck playing the same songs over and over again with a minute-long advert every time you finish a song. There’s no option to purchase a permanent ‘remove advertisements’ but rather you have the option to fork over a lump sum of cash every month to get an all access pass and make this app even enjoyable. I highly recommend that unless you plan on making monthly payments, this app is not worth it.

Ads before and after each song, really?! Deleted....

I love this app and when I play it I get into a grove. Now on my IPhone with the IOS update whenever I tap the 3 finger notes it won’t work unless I double tap them. When I double tap it magnify the screen.. CAN YOU PLEASE FIX THIS!!! 😭😱Also the Report Button is under the Back To Song Book and I keep accidentally pressing Report on all the songs. Please move the report.

I like the game but I think you should add black notes as in B flat

I downloaded this app and I used it for a few months so I could form an opinion. And I hate it. It takes to long to get smula, 1 per level?? And if you do any of the ‘free’ smula options it doesn’t work. Unless you watch an ad. And that rarely works. On that topic, ads pop up everywhere. It’s so stupid. They should have songs that were composed by people but haven’t been played yet be free- Otherwise no one is going to play them. I Would not recommend this app to anyone.

Split ads in half and it’d be great

I’ve had this game on and off since I was 9 and it’s amazing!!

First of all, Pretty much every song costs diamonds which are a bit hard to earn. I rate this one star because you have to sign up and do all that crap.

I have had this app for a long time and ive 3 stared every single somg ive ever played and perfected most of them i feel like for all the time it to me to achieve the skill i have on this game there should be some way for my skill to be shared or recognized.

I’m sad that zero stars isn’t an option. All the songs I had unlocked in the past are now somehow VIP only. Fortnite is free. What are you doing?

The ads are ridiculous. Play a song, watch an ad, pick your next song, watch an ad, click replay on a song, watch another ad. I get having to watch ads to play free but this is nuts. Plus the app needs the volume load to hear it but then the ads blow you away so you are CONSTANTLY turning the volume down for ads but up to play. Not sure what clown company is behind this mess?

Smule supports scams and fishing techniques to get you to subscribe to their app without even having the app downloaded. They find way to charge money to your account without you knowing. This app is horrible and it needs to be addressed.

You guys have a great app and the creating your own song thing is gonna keep this app going for years.One thing you guys should add is a keyboard mode where the notes come down and you tap the key.

This app has taken the last straw with me. I had watched an ad for free Smoola and it didn’t give me any, and then I watched another and it still didn’t work. Also, everything in this game can be done with a few bucks and this company is completely money consumed compared to what it used to be. The entire game is ads and money, huge letdown.

This is super fun to playAnd a great way to lose time but one issue I am having is I bought the weekly subscription to see how fun it would be and now I don’t know how to cancel it.I don’t see the option anywhere to cancel the subscription and it’s been still charging me and I didn’t know. If you don’t want to lose 50 bucks and more for subscription that you can’t cancel if you just want to try it out I recommend not doing that. If you find out how to cancel it please let me know

I had a whole bunch of songs unlocked and now it say that I can no longer play them because of a STUPID ALL ACCESS PASS!!!!!!!!

I don’t think the ads are that appropriate to show my kids when I play this app with them. I feel the need to supervise every minute or two so that they won’t see the ads. The loudness of the ads (compared to the sound of the piano while playing) also scares my kids. I only downloaded this to introduce him to classical piano. Not THAT awesome.

I just don’t know any more, when I was 5 it was fun to pretend to play the piano and it may even still be now but I feel almost attacked by the constant advertising, it would be fine if they made me watch adds to access content, I’m actually fine with that but when they force me to sit through 2 adds for every song I play it doesn’t feel worth it. The add run time is often times longer than the song. It isn’t worth it, the experience just isn’t fun enough to justify sitting through so many adds

I loved Smule when I first played it several years ago. I decided to come back only to find almost all of my songs in my library paywalled. And then there's the ads. So many ads. Too many ads. I hope you like coloring book ads and bootleg Chinese app games and their stock songs, because I guarantee you'll memorize the ads and their songs before anything in your actual Smule library. What makes it even worse is the fact that 99% of all the songs are now 25 Smule points. Even unfinished user pieces. And to make the ad situation even more humiliating, if you watch an ad for the free Smule there's a 50/50 chance you won't even get the Smule point for wasting your time playing one s***** ad. Adding further insult to injury is the fact that each song. No matter how short. How long. Or even if you're replaying it, is met with a 30 second ad for an app or game you'll never consider downloading after it plays for the millionth time. Go play a different piano game, or better yet learn to play the actual piano. I guarantee there'll be less ads, and you'll probably learn the instrument in the time it would take you to earn 25 Smule points.

So alot of stability improvements have been implemented, however, the Ads are OUT OF CONTROL!!! 95% of songs played require an ad to play before/after the song, even songs you PAID for!... I hate having to watch 10 Ads in a row to buy just 1 song, seems almost more like an app to make the developer cash, like a twisted version of Lemonade Tycoon.. No effort made on actual piano sounds, everything sounds off, even the grand piano... Smule Piano isn’t even fun to play anymore.

i love the songs and playing, but after every time you play a song, there’s an ad. ugh. it’s the most annoying thing. unless you pay $20 a month for a VIP membership, you have to deal with this.

Ok so back in 2016 I remember in school my friend showed me back his app I was in love with it i would never put my phone down but suddenly there was a update I was like ok probably some bug fixes but it changed now there are so many adds like you do one song at the end there is a add and then you do another song and dance the same add shows. Another problem I have is that when you level up you only get one coin im on level 12 I know it’s not very high but I would like maybe 2 or 5. Sorry for wasting your time but fix the game i miss the old one

I enjoy this game and like playing the songs. But for some reason all the songs I bought disappeared from the “My Songs” section and didn’t get the smoola back.

When I change phones, part of my points were added but nowhere to find my <> from the list of achievements. I should suit you for infliction of emotional distress right after never been able to pass a good score or to count myself as "perfecto" in the attendance list for the Cathedral of Notre-Damme. Where after a while I was called Quasimodo.

So I have been playing this for like a year or so and It has changed ALOT. So first I see a ad then another and then another and it keeps every other song. It’s very annoying and I can’t even play the game. Another is that there’s not many free songs anymore and most of the songs need VIP stuff. And mostly everything in the game you could actually buy. This game used to be really fun and addicting but now there’s an add when you open the app, and add when you select the song, and an add when you finish it. It’s just way too much.

I enjoy this app, but there are way too many long advertisements. I also wish there were easier and faster ways to get coins. Otherwise this is a great game to play!

I enjoy playing my favorite songs and tunes , but the ads were insufferable. Every time I finished a song an ad popped up, sometimes the ad was longer than the song I even played! Everything in the game revolves around either ads or paying money to get Smules (In game currency), or getting VIP membership. When should anyone have to pay a membership for an IOS game!!! This game thinks of itself as something it’s not. It’s a GAME! Not some magazine or streaming service. People download this app to enjoy playing their favorite music, but whenever they wanna get a new song, they have to watch 2 minutes and 30 seconds of ads to do so. This app requires too much work to play, I tried playing it, enjoyed playing it for 10 minutes, and then stopped.

When I first started out I know songs and then I found out that there was a button where I can watch an ad and get five free smoola but I’ve always been using that Devon my songs till this day I noticed when I got on and click on the ad button that when I was done watching the ad did not give me my free smoola

This is a hidden Charge that does not show up on my Apple account. There is no way to cancel it. Cancel the subscription immediately.

This game is terrible

Ads after literally every single song. Made it to level 11 before I could unlock a single song, and the choice for songs to play is very small. Played this game in 2015 when I first got my iPhone, and decided to re-download for nostalgia's sake. Turned out to be ruined from what it once was.

The app is a ton of fun, I downloaded it one night when I couldn’t sleep and ranked up to level 12, the issue now is that I’ve finished every free song I all levels of difficulty to 3 stars so now I have to use my smula to buy songs which wouldn’t be a problem but I already did all promotions to get free smula and watched all the videos, so now because I bing e played this game for 8 hours straight I can’t do anything because I can’t get smula and I have finished all the free songs... great game though!

I signed up for a 7 day “free trial” which I was charged a total of $5. for, and I know how to handle these subscriptions! Cancel the “free trial” the day you order it and it can’t charge you at the end of the free trial. You will also have full access to the app until the end of the trial. This all happened around the 13th Aug, 2018, but on the 14th I was charged. Apparently, the “free trial” listed within the app is actually a full access PASS!

I playing this game, but there’s one problem with it: the ads. For me, the ads don’t pop up every single time I finish a song, but when I watch them to get smoola, I sometimes don’t get it.

There are wayyy too many ads. It becomes tiresome to sit through two ads EVERY single time you want to play a song. Considering deleting the app.

So I started to play this game about a year ago, and at first this was a pretty straight forward app. You play tunes on hard, easy, or medium, earn points and so on. After I had played for about a month and got to level 6, it was super hard to unlock anything, because every time you level up you get one smoola. (currency) but here is the catch: Every time you level up, it gets harder and harder to level up, so you see my point. And you only get one smoola. Some songs cost 75+ smoola. So you get my frustration. But I will have to say I like the fact that you can creat you own songs, though. I just can’t believe that there are so many adds! 😡 I usually don’t use emojis at all but now I have to use that angry face emoji! (Thanks smule) every time you click to play a game, an add pops up about random junk no one wants to play. For example, I saw and add about killing random people around the globe. Was supposed to relieve all stress. Seriously?! Who buys that? Plus, half the games are for VIP members only. Look, smule, I know I look rich, but I don’t have a penny to my name. (Creators of smule) : “How about we sell them a free game that once you buy it... you can’t play it ‘cuz there’s so many stinkin adds, and nothing is actually free?!” I wouldn’t waste my time on this game if I got paid.

I used to thoroughly enjoy this app, but it has become consistently worse as time has gone on. There used to be occasional ads, which are understandable, as you do have to make money, but now there are ads before and after almost every song. In similar fashion, you used to be able to play your songs offline, however now, to foster more advertising, no doubt, you must be online to play. Songs you purchase also have developed a nasty tendency of disappearing from one’s list of songs, and are still playable without purchase if you search for them, however this is annoying when you just wish to scroll through yours songs and play one, and it disappeared without your knowing. There was a time I’d have rated this app 5 stars, but due to increasing problems that add up, I’m giving it 2. I’m going to keep it downloaded in case updates fix any of these problems, but for now I’m going to stop playing, so they don’t get advertising money that I don’t think they deserve off of me.

This flaming pile of human excrement doesn’t deserve the one star I have to give in order to rate the app. Couldn’t even to do anything without signing up for a “free trial” which automatically started charging me nearly $30 a week and offered no way to unsubscribe so I deleted the app thinking it would cancel the subscription. I didn’t notice the charges until I realized they drained my bank account while I was two states away from home on my way back from vacation with no gas money. Got stranded at a rest stop until my mom was able to deposit some money into my account for me. It charges much more that the $7.99/wk it claims to charge AND has charged me THREE TIMES IN ONE WEEK!!! I am LIVID. Do not download.

This game used to be super addicting and fun but now it’s really changed. The amount of adds is totally out of control! They also push their “vip” on you and your song choices are so limited you can either play the same ten songs over and over or you have to pay real money. Used to love this game but since I’ve started playing it again, the appeal has definitely gone down a lot.

When you play some songs, the pink notes (one fingered) are right next to the green notes (two fingered) and I don’t know which one comes first! And it messes me up.

This app was fun at first but now everything is VIP and there is no songs unless you get vip so GET RID OF VIP or MAKE MORE NON-VIP SONGS

My daughter was playing this game on my phone and apparently bought the ultimate package and supposedly charges you 7.99 a month or 99.99 a year! And I still can’t figure out who to contact to unsubscribe and cancel this dumb game!

I can’t believe this game/app has 4 stars. This game has ads before and after every song you play, and playing songs is practically the whole point to this game, and if you don’t want ads and to play a few cool songs, instead of paying a few bucks and getting them removed (Like other games...) you have to get an entire MEMBERSHIP, and you get to pay Smule all the time just for a few locked songs. It is a good game, but with the money hungry ness it completely sends this good app down the hole. Do not install!

This used to be a great app for unwinding and relaxing, but now you spend 50% of your time on the app watching ads??? It's understandable for the free songs but even songs that you've purchased?? That's ridiculous. After playing every song you're forced to watch a 30+ min ad! It literally changes the entire experience from relaxing to annoying.

I’m so incredibly disappointed in this app. I used to have it a long time ago and I loved it SO MUCH. it was so soothing and I would play it every night before I went to sleep. But that was on my old iPad, and now it’s incompatible with the app. I had never played it with my phone cause I thought the screen would be too play to play properly (I was right), so I never got it. Then I saw an ad for it and I thought “that would be fun to try again!” WRONG. I’m so mad. The first thing it’s greets me with is “you wanna but a membership that’s way overpriced?”. Then after that I tried to play a song and was bombarded with SO MANY ADS!! Also, I tried to play a song from the little mermaid that had the voice along with it, and it WAS NOT synced up at all!! So I signed up for the 7 day all access trial. I canceled it the same day I signed up so i wouldnt be charged the 7.99 rate. 3 days after the 7 day trial ended I was charged 7.99. It even shows under my subsriptions that it is expired. I asked for my money back and havent gotten a response back. So be warned everyone. They might charge you for something they shouldnt. So developers...i want my money back.

I have never played a game with as many ads as this one. After every song you get an ad. So frustrating.

I wasn’t aware that Smule Magic Piano cost money to download....right before I installed the app I was asked to verify my card and account. I did so thinking it was just because I had entered my password in wrong on the first attempt, so I didn’t think much of it. Right after it finished installing, and I opened the app I was charged $9.88 for no apparent reason. Please address this, or at least give me someone to contact to discuss it. I have had past trouble with my bank accounts being charged falsely, and I do not want this to be another case. Thank you.

You can only play so many songs and when you move to a new level you never get a new song to play and also you have to pay for each song you don’t have!! Personally I don’t like it.

Somehow my 5 year old signed up for the free trial. Don’t know how she could since in app purchases are disabled on her device but luckily all transactions come through me and I saw a “free” trial that automatically renews in a week. This app is s***** expensive.

I never write reviews about anything really but this game was absolute trash. I can’t imagine anybody paying money for this horrible game that offers no challenge and no amusement. It might excite a a newborn baby to smash on your iPad screen and hear noises but aside from that i wouldn’t recommend anybody waste their precious time to download this.

So it asks for $8/mo for you to be able to play all the songs and get rid of the super annoying ads. I’m still dealing with frustrating ads after every song even though I paid for the ad free subscription. It’s been going on for months. They basically steal your money since you won’t get what you actually paid for. I’ve cancelled my subscription.

This is a really fun game with all the songs you can play and the sounds you can use. The Composer feature is also really cool. A few recommendations for future updates: More Keyboard sounds like Violin, Kalimba, Music Box, etc. Customizing the color notes in Composer. More keyboard features for the piano. (Pinching to change the size gets confusing sometimes) Customization options for your profile. Just some suggestions but overall this game is awesome!

i have 56-57 songs and now it’s only showing the first 38 i’ve downloaded. it hasn’t had a problem showing them before but now after repeatedly reopening the s***** app nothing. i worked so hard to get those songs and now they’re not showing up. this is so stupid. plus anytime i earn more smoola it doesn’t show up either. i can but things still, but the coins hardly ever actually show up. i just have to keep mental track of how much i have. this is ridiculous and i’m so fed up.

I use to always be on this app. It’s been awhile and I got a new phone and downloaded the app and signed into my account. I noticed I’m back at level one and all the songs I had are gone. It’s frustrating but I gave it a chance but it’s not what it used to be. More ads and less content unless you’re willing to pay for vip.

It won’t let me play my favorite songs

The game has been going kind of downhill ever since I remember playing it. I started play magic piano back in 2013 or 2012 in its early stages and I was addicted to it. Yeah some things got me annoyed like lack of songs and when VIP came out as some of my favorite songs were locked behind that vault but I just played other songs and didn’t mind it. But, now I think like half of the songs made by smule are locked behind VIP. I understand they need their money and that’s completely reasonable. I don’t see why people are mad, they added composing, just make it yourself or something. That leads me to my next part, composing and sound. I love composing as it’s fun to recreate a song on piano for the community. I did “yeah right” by Joji on magic piano and it was very challenging to do. I improvised and read off of sheet music to create it and even though the sheet music didn’t have many dynamics, I thought it would sound better with some crescendos and decrescendos but composer lacked that. I played it on piano with the crescendo in some parts and it sounded way better. I also find it very frustrating how easy it is to place a note, if you press the button to add a note for half a second too long it adds 50 new notes! Oh, I forgot about sound. I wish the piano sounded more like a grand piano like my piano. Also, the gap between notes are very frustrating, sometimes there’s a measure rest but the notes come down as if it was a one beat rest and if you play it he way it was meant to be played, it says “Play faster”. An example of this is XO TOUR LlIF3 by lil Uzi Vert, the intro on piano sounds very well when played slow and some version of it on magic piano do that but magic piano gives you a lower score for playing correctly. Another example is Runaway by Kanye West and Pusha T, the gaps are too small.

Please fix the “5 free smoola” by watching a video. I watch them but I don’t get my reward. And it makes it very difficult to purchase new songs.

I got my phone at the age of 7 from my grandparents, this was my first game! The phone got water damage and it had to be replaced! Ok, so I was watching videos nonstop to get 7 Years, and the Smoola did the loading symbol and the number was still 20! Please fix this I am super sad 😿 now I can’t annoy my sister with the song XD

My second most popular composer song is only four measures long. I did not write the song, I just put it in the game, so I can't extend it. I wanted to change the title to something more accurate, but it tells me to add more notes. I can't rate this any higher than two stars until this is fixed. If people don't want short songs, they don't have to buy them (that's why you can listen to a song clip) but as of my writing this, it has 279 downloads with a 95% approval rating. I just want to change the title! Also, WAY too many ads (literally after every song). And why can't you play composer songs offline? They should download like any other song. I love the app other than these problems and would gladly rate 5 stars if they are fixed.

Seriously people. I don’t mind someone making a dollar, but $7.99 a WEEK!?!? You entire business plan is to trick people into doing the trial and then hope they don’t notice you $7.99 a week. Dishonest!

Over all this app would be a five if it worked right but it doesn't. Yes being able to add music was a good thing but one thing stoped working. Whenever I complete an accomplishment I don't receive smula( even though I have wifi, and when I complete an accomplishment without wifi I also don't get the smula.) then when I check in already accomplished it says I received that smula already. Also sometimes when I watch adds for smula I don't receive all of them. 1/5 times it doesn't work and I have to watch another ad. It's very annoying 😑. It could be better. And if I didn't love the app I would give it a 3 star rating. ( um Smule either you watch everything that I do or other people have my problem and you should fix this.)

This app is so annoying because you have to pay for everything... it plays ads before and after every song, the smula dollars cost money, and the 8 bucks a week (416 bucks a year) is extremely overpriced just to play a couple songs. Not worth the time of money. Only reason this isn’t a 1 Star is because it would be good without all the payments

I did NOT get the free trial app NOR DID I PURCHASE the $7.99 version! I will continue to write these reviews to warn others until my money is refunded!!!

So every time I finish a song an ad pops up and it’s so annoying. I think there are more ads on this game then actually playing the game. And every time I need smoola I watch an ad to get some (because it’s the only way to get songs without paying) it NEVER gives me smoola so I’m stuck with the same songs. But besides that I think it’s fun but please fix this.

The amount of ads that appear during game play is absolutely ridiculous and disappointing.

There seems to be a bug or something that causes a song to just stop right in the middle of playing it.... :( other than that I have had it for awhile.

Whenever I was on an advertisement called Dragon City I can't find the cancel button. I still like magic piano. I like if there weren't pop-up advertisements.

I love this game! Have been playing it for 4 years now. Only problem is that the screen is too small for the iPhone X. This leaves you a small playing window which often causes you to tap off the app screen resulting in it not registering. WE NEED AN UPDATE TO FIT IPHONE X PLEASE!!!!

So, it’s tough to get smoola due to the fact that you only get 1 coin with each level up. I wish there was a way to get smoola easier because most of the songs are 25 coins a piece!! Also, please for the love of Mitch Lucker, remove the ads after you play a song! The ads are horribly annoying and it’s frustrating to get an ad after playing a 30 second song.

This used to be my #1 favorite game. Engaging, smooth-running, levels achievable without having to spend money, and a wide selection of free songs. But the changes have just gone too far. WAY too many ads, levels aren’t nearly as achievable, the game lags during fast songs which affects your score, or it freezes completely and kicks you off. Even having “VIP” (which gives you access to every song after you cough up $40 for a years time) doesn’t save you from the relentless onslaught of ads, or solve any of the other listed problems for that matter. One huge thing that has changed with the updates is the ability to play a song without a wifi or data connection; that’s really where it lost me. You used to be able to play anytime, anywhere. What started as a great game turned into another money vacuum. Disappointed. Wish the developers would read all these and do something about it.

This app is okay but needs some changes

Would highly recommend downloading a different piano game than this one. When this game first came out it was amazing; however, over the last two years, this game has slowly declined to mundane songs, too many adds, and money-hungered owners.

I love this app but it never lets me hit three or more notes at once. I’ve tried so many different times and ways, but it only ever lets me do two or less. It’s been like that since the game has been released, and I thought it would change after all these years but it still doesn’t work, it’s very frustrating

I have always loved this game. Been playing on and off for years. Got it again yesterday and there are way too many ads! I can’t even play one song without an ad popping up before and after I play. Makes me not want to open the app anymore.

Ok so, whenever I try to compose a song it just says composer can’t load and it it so frustrating I want to write a little song and it won’t let me. I don’t have this problem on other devices but I only have it on this device. Most of the time the game is fun and I love the music, but sometimes when I and on “Solo” mode I try to drag and I brings um the menu and I get mad. So maybe you could have it so you have to press a button to get the menu instead of drag while in solo mode??? I really hate to complain so much but at times I’ll be playing a song and it will be four fingers and I use four fingers and it registers two or three and sometimes even one. I really love playing this game when I’m bored but it has some flaws that could make the game A LOT more fun! Sorry to complain SO MUCH but I don’t this app going down in flames. I love this game it’s fun and addicting, but sadly it has a downside. The ads make the game really hard to get into like I really don’t want to watch your coloring ad or cooking ad.Yes I’m all for you trying to get people to help other creators and yourself but come on it’s ridiculous.Lasty most of my and my friends favorite songs are either VIP or cost coins.Really smule you are just $$$

It’s pay to play

This app: whew, lad. It’s a doozy. I now remember why I deleted it in the first place: there is hardly any free content, everything requires in-game coins (which are nearly impossible to rack up, as there are only about 7 free playable songs that you could use to gain coins and you only get 1 coin per level), or it requires some absolutely heinously ridiculous “VIP membership”. On what planet would anyone pay to what essentially amounts to the cost of a basic Netflix membership just to play a s***** tap-piano game? It’s utterly baffling. This is a lame attempt at a money-grab on what could have been a really awesome and addicting game. I’m going right back to Tap Piano, as you can actually earn new songs easily without having to spend actual money. Additionally, there are so many ads that it makes the game literally unplayable. You accidentally tapped your screen while having the app open? BOOM, ad. You want to play one of the very few free songs? Oh, no you don’t! Not before you watch a very long ad! You want to use your coins to get a new song? Sure! But, not before you watch 14 ads! You want to close the app? Oh, sorry. Can’t close the app without watching 3.7 ads. (This is a joke but it accurately describes how frequent and unnecessary all the ads are). The ads are so plentiful that I found myself getting visibly and genuinely angry - truly angry - over a ridiculous iPhone game. The last ridiculously garbage aspect of this game is the fact that the free songs DO NOT remain free. What kind of junk is that?! You give 7 free songs that people can work with and you don’t even give them the option to replay the FREE content?!? Of course you don’t; you’re greedy, money-hungry company. Hey, I can’t knock a company for wanting to rake in cash as much as possible. But, the thing is, in order for people to want to pay money, you have to create something people will ACTUALLY ENJOY. This is so cluttered with ads, content that you have to pay for, and blatant grabs at people’s money that is thoroughly unenjoyable and borderline morally unethical. Sure, I’m being melodramatic. But, I’ve genuinely never seen a game managed so poorly and SO cluttered with ads and paid content before. That’s a true statement. Worst app I’ve ever downloaded and I completely remember now why I deleted it the first time I downloaded it. I would give this game 0 stars, if possible. But, since I cannot, 1 star it is.

I really love this concept. Highly addictive and very entertaining. There is just one problem. It is soooooo overpriced. It does not seem worthy to pay 8 dollars each month for this when you could probably get similar apps for more. Also, there is no way to obtain individual songs easily; you have to get a permanent subscription even if you just want one song. Super sad.

Just able to get my phone back, and put your app back on – I’m lost a whole much of songs, also when I go up a level (I was in 100 and something when I came back I was quite lower – but you’re not giving me coins for going up levels... and every new song you put out there from multiples of the same song don’t understand?

I liked playing this game for a while. I unlocked new songs, but there isn’t enough variety of free songs. Want to earn Smoola🎊? NO. Takes FOREVER TO LEVEL UP. Only get one coin/Smoola when I level up. Also, I get a s***** ad every time I click a song to play. Exit the song, AD AD AD AD AD. You aren’t getting my money. VIP I think might be.... A humongous SCAM. I read a review that the person payed 7.99 for month but they were billing them 2.99!! Seriously people play this too much if they have every song unlocked. Well, bye

Ads play all the time, so it’s kind of hard to play when you have an ad about another piano game in between song... but over all, fun.

This is good and all, but I just want something that speaks a major chord. Maybe being able to comment on others songs? All I can do is give them a like or a dislike, and that’s it. I just want to express myself a lot more, like, say, somebody wanted to tell the composer, “ This song is awesome! “ but with no way to say it. It just makes me sad. Or, maybe a limit of 50 words to a comment, so it won’t go on forever? It reminds me of 24 hours and 1 second of nothing. I mean like, 1 DAY? That reminds me of a super long comment... Okay, I used to have this app years ago and I loved it, m’kay? The problem is that when I downloaded it on my iPhone yesterday, I still had no problems with it and I like all the songs. The ads are the only thing I hate right now. I can already tell this business is getting more and more corporate. Bring down the number of ads and I will change my rating to five stars. I’ve had this app since I was 13 and have loved it since, but Smule is doing too much when it comes to the ads. After every song you have to watch an ad and it’s gets really annoying after a while to the point where I don’t want to play the game anymore. The amount of ads on this thing is insanity. Then, I had stars for all of my songs filled but Smule thought it would be such a grand idea to clear them and have me start over. Thanks, Smule! 👍🏼 True MVP! Wouldn’t recommend playing if you don’t like dealing with ads every time you finish a song. Sorry, Smule. I think you’ve downgraded ☹️

I think that this is a good game but if you’re going to compose a song you should do the whole song but other than that it’s a fun game

I used to love this app. It’s where we can appreciate people’s creativity and enjoy our favorite songs. I watched 15-20 ads and received like 20 smula(every ad should give you 5 smula). I get it they want us to be VIP, buy currencies etc. However if you make an option called “get free smula” at least deliver those g****** smula to the people watching the ads smh. Stay away from dishonest developers.

Sometimes, it won’t register that you’ve tapped a note. It’s not as bad as in Piano Tiles, since you don’t completely fail on missing a note, but it’s still bad. This doesn’t happen on other games.

Do not sign up for the free trial I did and cancelled the subscription before it was up and got charged the $7.99 anyways

I played this game and it was really fun and addicting. It helped me a little bit with learning piano keys. But I still have one big thing that I don’t like about this game... There are barely any songs to play because of membership. But I wouldn’t say this game is horrible.. 😶

FOR ALL THAT IS HOLY ease up on the ads magic piano. I use to love this app. I played it pretty regularly and didn’t mind the occasional ad. Now I spend more time watching ads than I do playing the app. After every single song there’s an ad. If I play a free song I have an ad at every level. I don’t even get coins for this crap. I’ve watched dozens of ads today and only received one coin when I leveled up. OCCASIONALLY ADS!!!! I’m not looking for an app that is all about ads if you are then this is the app. Seriously!!!!

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but on my phone, I have to watch a video before I can play the song and I understand that. But then when I go to play a song that was free that I already played, I have to watch a video just so I can play it again. And I also had to watch an ad after playing a song and I understood that too and I thought I would have to watch an ad for every other song I play because that's what happened for a while but now I have to watch an ad for every song I finish playing. And the other problem is that when I compose a song and I play it, it doesn't show in "my songs" and I really don't understand why I have to pay 25 smoola just to play a song I composed again.

Who is this app trying to fool? I remember having this app ages ago and being frustrated at the amount of ads there were, but now trying it again there are even MORE ads and even HIGHER VIP prices. Gameplay is mediocre; freezes, force closes (due to ads, mind you), and isn’t satisfying enough to keep around. Trust me, it hurts me to say this because I used to love playing on this app despite the ads and its subscription service baloney. So I love the songs which gets me addicted and also the difficulty, and the ads are just obnoxious which really ruins the game. I know that’s how they make money😒 but keeping the same old ones that pop up every couple songs you do gets annoying and that’s what gets me annoyed and less interested in the game.👎 I don’t mind ads once in awhile like after few like maybe like 5 songs I do or more I will get more interested. Ok so this game is decent and all, but there are a few crucial points that make it bad. First of all, there are WAY too many ads. Like literally every time I finish a song, an ad pops up. I was ok with it at first, but now I’m tired of it. Second, it gets really boring because literally every song costs coins, or you buy VIP. I’ve played Smule Magic Piano and so many more Smule apps since about 2011. It used to be so much fun to play this game. Some time back, it became about money. Now it’s full of ads, minimal songs are free, smoola is harder to earn or come by, and they push the VIP thing. It’s just not what it was made to be anymore. Smule has gone the direction of many other app developers, and followed the path of money. I wouldn’t recommend this app any longer, or any other Smule app for that matter. All of them are full of ads, and are about nothing more than the almighty dollar now. Sorry, Smule. I know we’ve been together for about 7 1/2 years now, but I have to save space on my phone for apps that are free, or one time purchase of $9.99 or less. I feel like our relationship really isn’t working out. You just never really wanted to commit the way I did. Don’t worry though, baby. I’ll always remember the good times we had. But I’ll never forget that you were just a gold digger in disguise.

I love this app and when I play it I get into a grove. Now on my IPhone with the IOS update whenever I tap the 3 finger notes it won’t work unless I double tap them. When I double tap it magnify the screen.. CAN YOU PLEASE FIX THIS!!! 😭😱

A while back Smule offered a paid version of this app with no ads. I paid for it, but still get ads after every video. They have lied to very many people and this probably constitutes a class action lawsuit. Reporting to Apple.

So I like this app and playing the songs ,but it’s real hard to get samoola or whatever so I watched the videos to get 5 but it only stayed at 17 samool so now I can’t play many songs.

It’s a great app, but there is one thing that really gets on my nerves. When I watch an ad to get five free smoola, most of the time it bugs out and I don’t get the smoola. I found out that I only get smoola if the ad is played by AdColony, and the majority of the ads I watch are not played by AdColony. PLEASE fix this so that I don’t have to watch 31 videos to earn ten smoola. Also, I think something that would be great is if you could save hard copies of the songs in your library. I find that some of the songs sound great and I want to be able to listen to them without the requirement of internet to use the app.

I love this app you can play really good songs and especially I love how you put Beethoven songs I love playing them every day I love listening to music it just is pretty easy but I like it the only thing is I hate when you have to watch an ad before you play one of your favorite songs please just get rid of this these ads because like I’m starting to hate this app but I really love it and I love just like everything and it’s really nice how you put every song but and I don’t like how you have to cost coins for it and I just wanted to be like you know how on karaoke you can choose whatever song you want by now on this you don’t choose like what song you want and I want to choose whatever song I want to play but I can’t because I’m trying to practice on my 🎹 even though I love it and the only thing is just get rid of all the ads😘😛😠 all at the same time

Too many ads

These apps are getting crazy now. I see autorenewal fee been charged per week. Sneaky pesty thieves. They all should be required to put in app purchase price clearly marked at introduction because they are all marketed to little children who don’t know what they are clicking on!

This game was at one time a very fun game to play. Its always s***** earning coins to buy good songs but its still manageable. The real problem is the game is completely riddled with ads. After every single song without fail, you are guaranteed to see an ad thats annoying and makes you wanna delete the App. Youre honestly better off not getting this app. It clearly has no support team, based on the lack of resolution of this issue which it seems all players are having. If there were ads every once in a while that would be fair, since the game was otherwise free. But after every song is just unjustifiable. I will refuse to download future games from this company!

This game is honestly trash in my opinion. I broke my tablet and had to play this game on my phone and whenever the 2 finger tap came up it never let me tap it. Also on the 3 and 4 finger tap. Ok, I usually might play this every few times a day, I mean, it’s fun, but when ever I need more of the app’s currency, the ads show up, but it won’t add the currency in the game, now I’m starting to think the ads for currency are just a way for game companies to get their ads out, on top of that, the game crashes when ever I do purchase a song, then I don’t get the song and I still lose my currency. I’m upset and disappointed. Fix this otherwise you’re dead to me.

This is an overall fun game... That being said there are way too many ads, and very little pieces for the free user. I received a free piece at first. Every time I play the song, I have to watch a 30-second ad with no skips both before and after I play. It’s almost pointless to get the game if you don’t want to spend money. Also, the 7.99 a week is ridiculous!! Who wants to pay that much for an online piano. You could purchase a real keyboard with a years worth of that! Don’t get it if you don’t want to spend that much.

I really love this game, but the ads are absolutely ridiculous!! I get that they have to show them, but it’s after every action no matter how small!! You can’t exit them either and after every single ad they load a demo which most times crashes the game or leaves the demo Music still playing in the background even though I’ve already exited the ad. This is why I normally play other games instead of going to this one although I would love to. Also you can’t load songs offline which is also really inconvenient when I’m traveling. But the game play is really fun when you’re actually allowed to play, I kinda feel like it’s an advertisement app, not a game most times.

An 88-key piano goes all the way down to A0, but in this app’s composer feature it only goes down to C2, which is pretty limiting! Also there needs to be a way to add triplets. Would be great to have a wider range to express ourselves better!

Wow, really Smule? ENOUGH with all of the ads. When I want to watch ads to receive Smula, half of the time, I DON’T EVEN GET SMULA! Which is ridiculous and absurd! Stop with all of the ads, because surely being a big brand has clearly gotten to your head. While playing Daily Challenges, they always bug or crash the app, even when on a stable WiFi connection. Also, when I won the song “Apologize”, once I went to play it, it said I NO LONGER HAD THE SONG ANYMORE. Even though I WON the song, apparently I had to buy it with 75 SMULA if I wanted to play it again! Also, only the songs that Smule composed can be accessed while off WiFi, and I’m sure almost no one wants to play Fur Elise. Because most people can’t. Afford. To pay. For songs. With the 1 Smula you give us when we level up, or the dumb VIP that lets us play most of the songs users are interested in. Overall, STOP with all of the ads, FIX the bugs with the Daily Challenges, and ENOUGH with the expensive or VIP songs! Almost everything I reported has previously been reported by users, so FIX IT AND FIX YOUR EGO. Thanks! 😘

Ok, I really like this app but there’s this one problem that made me rate this TWO STARS. WE NEED MORE FREE SONGS. I know that you can do the free songs but they aren’t actual hits that people ALWAYS listen to today like some other songs that are VIP or 25 Smoola things. I’m not willing to do all of that VIP stuff so I’m not. I just wish there were more popular songs or just songs in general, that are FREE. PLEASE.

There’s so many ads it’s insane. There’s an ad before I play a song, after i play a song and right when I open the ap. AND WHEN I WATCH AN AD FOR COINS THEY DONT WORK, I WATCHED 7 ADS IN A ROW AND THEY DIDNT WORK

I used to love this app, but now it’s just disappointing. I opened the app for the first time in about a year yesterday, and all of the thirty something songs I had ever purchased and played were gone. Even a song that I bought last night was gone by this morning. It’s pretty much impossible to get coins without purchasing them with real money, and I wasn’t going to spend that much time watching ads. Another horrible change that I’ve noticed is the increase in ads. A year ago, all of the songs in the free section used to actually be free. But now, you have to watch an ad before playing one. Even if you want to change the difficulty, you have to watch an ad. Ads never used to be apparent in the app unless you watched them for coins, but now they pop up after you play almost any song, even if you have actually purchased it. After reading a lot of reviews, I am positive that everything that is happening to me is not a unique glitch, and is probably a scam put into place by Smule so they can earn more money. Don’t waste your time trying to make good use of this app. It’s not worth it. There are plenty of other much better versions out there.

First of all, I got this this thinking “Hey, a few songs will be locked. No biggie” but “a few songs” is actually most of the songs. They cost 25 coins, or more, just to play them. (Their also pretty d*** cheap with the coins).Thing is, there’s also V.I.P. that you can pay for. I don’t want to pay for every other song.Honestly, the amount of songs that are locked is ridiculous. Secondly, the ads are just irritating. They come after every song. I want to play this, but all of this is just too much. Find another piano app if you don’t want to pay.

The app is fun, but you’re forced to watch an ad after every song and each ad takes so long that it is a waste of time. Not worth it. Also, VIP membership is way overpriced. Played with the app for less than an hour and got sick of all the useless, time-consuming ads. Do better.

It’s great but it kinda stresses me out when it say “Play faster” and/or “Play slower” I suggest you remove that because people should be able to play at there own speed without being told that. I’ve been and PAID for a VIP membership for 3 months, maybe 4. I’m reached the highest level at 101 with a promise more are to come. When?? I just renewed another month’s membership a few days ago and ads for other SMULE products keep popping up after every song!! This shouldn’t be happening as a VIP. If this continues I’m going to delete the app. I really enjoy this app but I’m not paying $19.99/month for pop up ads that aren’t supposed to appear with a VIP monthly membership. I’m VERY FRUSTRATED and will be sad if I have to cancel my membership and delete the app. Please FIX THIS SMULE so I can continue enjoying SMULE PIANO. I had this game when I was young but now it’s a whole different game for instance there is too many adds all the good songs need vip membership or cost coins this should be fixed I might delete this app❌❌

It’s one thing for this game to force you to watch ad every song but when I watch ads to get coins I never get them!! So I watch a 30 second ad no problem, but it fails to give me coins every time. I’ve tried other methods of getting coins but they also don’t work and completing achievements take months. So I have a game where I can’t get new songs until it’s fixed and it’s been like this since March 2018. I’m gonna delete if this isn’t fixed.

When I’m away from a source of internet connection I can no longer obtain achievements, play new songs, or even change the type of piano I’d prefer to use. And I understand that new music pieces may be added from time to time, requiring internet connection for an update to the list of music, but at least let us have the ability to use the listed features above, and possibly some others, when we are offline. I also suggest that you at least make an option for consumers to pay for the advertisements to disappear. There are numerous and irrelevant ads that pop up before and after a music piece I play, and according to other reviews, the same is happening to many other Smule Piano Players. Sincerely, Anonymous

This game is horrible way to many adds and it look so easy on the ad but it way to hard mostly on a small phone it was so hard to get to level 5 way to hard to level up I hate all of the smile apps

The game is fun, one of my personal favourite but lately I’ve noticed that there are way more ads than there were before. I think it’s ridiculous to have 15-20 seconds ads before starting the song and after finishing it.

I honestly love the app except for the fact that an add pops up at the end of literally every song and it gets annoying because the songs aren’t even that long so I can only play 2 or 3 songs before getting annoyed at the add popping up and I’ll just close the app and won’t play it again for the rest of the day because of how annoying the adds are

You need to have more ways to get coins or make the prices for songs less. It’s no fun playing the same song over and over again. Also I did the invite 5 friends option and I sent the message but didn’t earn any coins. Now everyone is confused on why I sent them some invite to Magic Piano. I’m getting quite annoyed and bored with this app now. Especially after sending that message. Also there are ads after every song . That is ridiculous. Thanks a lot 🙄

I like it because I can play the piano

In real life I play piano and have had a love for making up songs and playing by ear. My mother knew this and download the app on her iphone 6 and I loved it. Over time i had forgotten the app and when I got my first phone 6 years later i downloaded the app now my problem is getting free smola (I can’t spell that right but i mean in game currency) by watching adds doesn’t work I press the 5 free smoola button and watch the add and it doesn’t pay me. If you see this Smule please fix this glitch and i will give better review.

I used to have this app and it was fun but now it all changed. They make me watch 2 ads for every free songs I play. The most funny thing is how they charge 7.99/week for membership. Truly hilarious. Don’t even waste your time install it.

I like the game it’s great but you need to fix the bug that is keeping players from watching an ad to get coins. I try to each one but after 3 ads or so it doesn’t give me any coins back, I’ve tried restarting and clearing history but otherwise it won’t work. I love the app otherwise thank you for your time and help!

Very addictive game and some of the songs really play well and sound very realistic. Unless you pay a month fee or whatever, not worth playing because the lack of songs to choose from. Other wise a Fun game to play.

There’s no reason to have an ad play after EVERY SINGLE SONG. I get through 3-5 songs before the ads annoy me enough to just stop playing all together.

You would think the developers would see all the reviews complaining about ads and actually do something. There’s an ad after every song no matter how long the song is, and when you actually watch ads to get coins 2/5 times you are not rewarded . I suggest if you force people to watch an ad after every song they should at least earn coins through forcible ads they can’t skip. Fun game , Horrible time .

There are too many ads every time I start or finish a song there is an ad. And I just tried to get some free coins to buy a song and it didn’t give it to me I watched an ad three times and nothing happened I even exited and restarted the game and nothing. 😡😡 FIX THIS GAME MAN!!!!

I used to like this app a lot, until it started charging to my account payments that I haven’t purchased.

It’s sad because this was my favorite app to play on road trips or just play my favorite songs on piano. It’s been 2 years since I’ve played it and everything changed too many ads but I can deal with ads the thing is the app itself it was so much easier now to hit the double notes correctly I noticed these two circle sensor things below the notes. The thing I loved about Smule’s magic piano is the little dots. Every other piano app has the keys and it’s difficult for me on certain songs in the past on those apps to move the key board down to find the key or my fingers would be too big for the keys and I have tiny hands lol.

Most people don’t want to spend money on smule points so they watch ads but they give u no smule points, if you don’t believe me try it yourself. Also there are so many ads it makes me sick. I would give magic piano a negative 5 if I could.

I’ve had this app for probably over 5 years and I’ve loved it. However I think it’s kinda ridiculous at how hard it is it level up once you’re past like level 20. And when you do level up you don’t really get much smoola for it which I think isn’t fair. Also, when I watch a video to get 5 smoola it doesn’t give me the smoola once I finish the video.

Man, you’d think that if you’ve spent any kind of money in this app that they wouldn’t hit you with 30 second ads every single time you move but they sure do. It didn’t used to be that way. Do you have an add-free option besides a subscription? Please consider it. Also, completely blocking songs without having a subscription is insane. You should be able to pay for them with credits like you do with other songs. It’s sad that you have to pay for user-created songs as well. It’s sad as this is such a fun and well-made game.

There are way to many ads and it costs real money to play about over 1/2 of the songs. There is an option to get free in-game currency by watching ads purposefully, but I just watched only 5 ads and it didn’t even give me any $, like it was supposed to. Back again to the intentional ads. They are everywhere! Every time you try to play a song that you own there is an ad, every time you finish your song there is an ad, and etc. They are every where and must be stopped

This game used to be great back when it started. But now ads have gotten to a point where I spend about 75% of my time watching ads and 25% playing the game. It’s atrocious.

Every time I watch an ad, it never gives me the 5 smoolas, it just stays at 18 unless the ad has a certain X once it’s over in which I’m assuming an ad company message says “Congrats here’s your reward” or something like that, but those certain ads haven’t even been coming up now and I have no way to earn smoolas.

At first this was a super fun game, but eventually I got bored of the free songs, which there are not very many of. All the interesting songs cost smoolah, and since I wasn’t willing to spend real money on an app, I had to watch a ton of videos to get some. Another thing is that if you have not been playing very long your wrist hurts A LOT after a while. And I know it will probably go away after a while, but I still hate it. That being said, it’s a fun game, but there are a few problems.

A solid piano game ad composer. There's many songs from pop to rock to show tunes. Songs are constsntly made. My biggest issue it a glitch with my currency. If I try to play ads sometimes my currency doesn't load and will freeze when I activate another ad. When it does this I have to download the game again.

This is a review on Magic Piano. You will experience this review by scrolling down chapters. ENJOY! Chapter 1: The Start When I got this game, I thought it was like another boring “Piano Tiles 2, 3, 4” game. Lucky for me, it wasn’t. When I started I got about 6 ads to choke down my throat. Yeah...great start...anyways, I played the tutorial which was incredibly easy, because I already played the piano and knew the positions. I got “New Rules” and “My Heart Will Go On (Titanic)” as my new songs. I soon realized that these were songs I needed to have flexible fingers for. Easily, I got a “Perfect” in each and leveled up. I signed in and got 1st on the daily challenge, so I easily loved the game and bought harder songs. Chapter 2: Ads The ads in this game are pretty normal. About every 3 to 4 songs, I usually get a “Sing! Karaoke” ad, also by Smule, though I used to get “Guitar! By Smule” ad. So, I love the ad idea. Chapter 3: Now On some songs like “Let it go (Full Ver.)”, “My Heart Will Go On”, “Raindrop Prelude”, and “Long Version of ‘The Devil Went Down To Georgia’”(or something like that), they last like 3 min.s and my fingers cramp until I look like a bony prune. Usually this happens when I have to do: 2, 4, 1, 4, 2, 2, 4, 1, 1, 3 Or something like that. The 3 finger notes are incredibly easy to hit, so that rules out most songs from being “hard on HARD” (if you know what that means). I also have like 42 songs, but it really bothers me when the game glitches and I get like 14-21, and those songs are like “Ode To Joy (easy)”, “Für Elise (easy)”, and “Happy Birthday To You” which last like 20 sec.s are are really boring. Chapter 4: Other reviews In other reviews, people are complaining about the VIP pass. Well, the game has to make money SOMEHOW! Now, stop complaining! Many people say they are mad of incredible ads. I guess they get more ads than me, but this review is more recent than others, so less ads may have been added. They’re just going crazy! Especially the first review you see (or the first one I see) called “I used to love it...” is really overreacting. They said it kept crashing. Well, that’s because the game might have LAG! HELLOOO!?!??!? It keeps getting new songs! Just change your WiFi connection! (Sorry, I might be overreacting too. This is not how i really feel, but just sayin’.) Chapter 5: Review Just to sum it up: Great Game! I really like to no-ad thing, in which I don’t feel like I’m playing a game by Voodoo. I also like how this brings me to new songs, for example: - I know the song “Ready, Aim, Fire” by Imagine Dragons from this game - I also know the song “Sing Me To Sleep” by Alan Walker (girl, people) from this game, and I added it to Radio on “Readio” (a game IN a game) So, I love it!

So I have had this game for a while and I like it a lot. This game has great songs and good composers! 👏🏻 I love it and would recommend this game. I used to love this game, but because nowadays all this game cares about is money, it is not as amazing and popular. Let’s start off with the ads - after EVERY song I play there is a s***** and annoying ad about some weird coloring book or I don’t know and it is SO ANNOYING.😤 Two: the difficulty. When I play a new song, I always t*** on easy. Like everyone else. But it’s more like you jumped to hard. Then medium is extra hard and hard is like ultra hard / almost impossible to get three stars. Seriously, tone down on the difficulty!! And threes the PAYMENT. this is the worst part. All this game cares about now is money, and every cool or popular song costs 25 - 75 coins or you hasta buy a VIP for!! UGH! If you want this game to stay popular, you should think about it!

I love this game because you can show your creative side with the new update with composing. You can compose your favorite songs. The daily challenges are also fun you get to go up against people who also played the song and you get see how you improve.

Every song I play it’s glitching like crazy and it’s getting really annoying when I try to play a song and it won’t let me play it

Most of the joy for me was playing the songs, not accumulating coins just to get another song that I hadn’t ever heard before. Now, all the songs I’d like to play cost coins, and the choices left to earn the coins are weak.

this game used to be really fun and enjoyable. i used to play it all the time when i was a couple years younger, so when i saw it today i thought i should re-download it and play it to be nostalgic. the loading screen was alright and that was about it. seconds after the loading screen i had an ad. "hey," i thought "i dont remember that ever happening." anyway, the more i tried to play the more i realised that every five seconds it was a pop-up or a thirty second ad. this really annoyed me. on top of that, half of the time i tried to use the game it was not working or being resistant. i feel overall very displeased with the game and hoped it would be better.

I was very bored one day because I couldn’t go to Chuckie Cheeses. I decided to buy an app when all of the sudden a smule piano boi advertisement appeared on my screen. I decided to download the app because it was free. So why not try it! I played 24/7 and now I am the slaying kween. My friends and I play every night before bingo time. It’s a super fun game and the update is AMAZING! I recommend this game to everybody who enjoys music. This game is so super silly and I cant wait for many more memories to come with it. I think I will play until college. This game has inspired me to become a musician. Next time I go to chuckie cheeses I wont be bored. I love playing this game in the play place there.

This app is a rip-off. I had the free one week vip trial and I tried to cancel it today so it wouldn’t take my money, just to find out, they charged me over $8. I checked my bank account and was furious. $8 a week is ridiculous. I deleted the app and emailed the company and I will be really upset if I don’t get my money back.

This game is so fun. I play the piano my self and a lot of the songs on here are above my level so being able to play them is really cool. But there som adds but I still really like this game.

I have played this game for years. It used to be great because the more songs you played, the more coins you’d get and then the more songs you could play. Now it’s impossible to do anything without paying real money for it. What a shame.

Now, the game crashes, there are ads every ten seconds, and I can’t play any of my favorite songs without getting the vip. All the songs I had bought with my smoola are gone too. My daughter downloaded this free game. Somehow we got locked into a $8 a week subscription I catch it after $64 later. She had tried it and uninstalled it long ago. Serious cyber crime.

There have been many reports of money theft/fraud/unnoticed charges revolving finances. This alone is dangerous considering money is needed in the common day to survive independently. Adds have also been a complaint. Are they really nescisarry? If you really dig Smule is just trying to make money. This is evident in the outrageous vip cost. The lame vip payoff. The buttload of adds (probably business deals with other gaming compinies I wouldn’t know I’m a middle schooler) and the constant pushing to buy and trick. This app isn’t magic piano but should be named “how to get a hand cramp in a matter of five minutes simulator.” This is the truth. Sad that others don’t see it as so. Ps the songs are garbage that appeal to public demand not quality.

Me and my mom had a lot of fun with this app.i have done all the songs.

I have watched at least ten videos hoping to get a song. I had 24 smoolas and I needed one more. So I watched another video which said it would give me 5 smoolas so then I could get the song. When I press on the song it says I need one more smoola. So I think it’s a mistake and watch another video but it still says I need one more smoola. This happened fifteen time in the past two days.

I have had this app for about 6 months and I like the general idea. I have fun playing the songs. I wish that more songs were free. Almost all the songs I want to play cost coins and all the ways to get coins are annoying. Great game though!

Can’t ever get enough of this game, especially during my commute. It’s fun seeing your skills develop through time; songs I couldn’t play before I can now play with minimal effort. One recommendation I would love is for Smule to incorporate a replay after each song you play. Sometimes you just want to see how you played! A fan for life <3 I wouldn’t be surprise.

I really love this game but there’s way to much adds. After I finish a song there’s an add it gets old. See I wanted to play stressed out by twenty one pilots but no I have t9 grind for days to get 75 coins. Plus the game went down hill because it had too much adds. The last time I’ve seen so much adds was in 2013 And that was five years ago. So if you are willing to buy this game just know there’s a lot of issues with it.

One thing I would like to say is that I Idolize this app, I love how it’s such a workout for your fingers. Unfortunately there is a downfall, most of my favorite songs either cost VIP which is way too much my parents can afford, or they cost Smoola. I’d also like to get into when you click: “More ways to get Smoola!” One of them is highly dangerous & can cause people to find out where you live, Only if you follow through with it. But on further investigation I found out that this is a scam into making kids/teens to insert their IP, their full name, their address. & much more personal information. Ok so when I was younger, I loved this app. I thought it was fun and cool. The only thing I hated was how hard it used to be. Now, there are so many things I hate. First off, there are so many ads. So many. You finish a song, ad. You pick a song, ad. You breathe, welp that’s another ad right there. And it’s not even interesting games that you’d get on your app. They’re not games that’ll make you go ‘oh, maybe I should buy this.’ No, they’re games for four year olds (no offense four year olds) and mostly targeted towards girls. Second of all, everything cost money. Real and Smule money. Every song is now like 25 smule coins and if you don’t like those or don’t have enough smule coins, then you have to a wonderful selection of eight free songs to choose from. And now there’s a VIP membership you can have if you can afford it. Which, lots of people can’t, Smule, so what are we supposed to play now? Twinkle Twinkle Little Star until we get bored of it? I’m sorry that this was so long, but this game just went from being one of favorites to one of my most hated. I’m really considering deleting it.

I had a collection of about 15 songs I got from watching all the ads to get smoola. And one day it all got deleted. Never downloading this app ever again. My time was wasted.

SO MANY ADS. It’s SO frustrating. The game is fun and addicting, but an add pops up that is longer than the song you even play. And you’re on the app watching more ads than the time you’re actually playing the game. So annoying.

This app is so addictive. It also made me curious about learning how to play the piano

I have been playing piano for almost half of my life, but when I tried this game, I couldn’t even play Ode to Joy without messing up. And it was the easy version! I was playing Ode to Joy before I even knew how to read! Ads aren’t really a problem, but it’s just SO HARD!!!

When I first got the app in 2015 I thought it would be the weirdest app I've ever played and I was proven wrong. Smule this is one of your best apps yet. Keep up the good work.
