I’ve been using DI for almost decade, always quality and reliable service.

I have been listening DI for many years and after trying other apps and music channels I found this one is one of the best. Great support and outstanding music. Thank you.

The music is really great, and the app works really well. It would be nice if the app would rotate when you rotate the phone to landscape mode. Is that something that will be possible?

Music is awesome, but it drops a ton, enough where I don't use it anymore while driving. It's not reception either as I often have 5 full bars and LTE when it drops. Update: music dropping out gets worse and worse. Drops out with full WiFi signal. If I press pause then play it immediately plays again, until the next dropout. I’m sick of it dropping out in the middle of my exercise set. It also takes a very long time to load the first time, sometimes minutes, once again on a full WiFi or LTE connection. Also lacking many features most other music services provide. Fast forward or rewind. Thumbs up/down. Saving music. Don’t tell me it’s because of price because this isn’t priced much differently than other services. No CarPlay support. No Apple Watch support. No windows app. Etc.

Overall, pretty good app that took too long to get iPad support (but does finally have it). Obviously serves up great tunes, but sorely missing the ability to easily control via CarPlay while on the go. Get me CarPlay and this is easily a 5 Star app.

— edit — After force quitting app it works ok, we will see how long until the issue happens again. — review — The app stops playing music if it is not the forefront active app on iOS 12...neat! I realize iOS 12 just came out, but betas have been available for a very long time so there is little excuse unless this is an iOS bug added in the released version but wasn’t in beta builds.

There are a half dozen things about this app that strongly detract from the enjoyment of listening to di.fm. I’m a premium subscriber, but plan not to renew due to the app. -Biggest complaint: app does not tune in to shows when they start broadcasting. In order to get it to catch the next show on a channel, you must change channel then return to the channel for next show. The channel shows what’s currently playing, but you won’t be tuned into it without doing this. Terrible. -Second biggest: often while on LTE, the channel will fail to load. As in, it just buffers for minutes on end. The solution here is to force close the app and retry. Sometimes it requires briefly putting phone in airplane mode to reboot the connect. Sometimes it requires rebooting the phone. Imagine doing that because a channel won’t load. The quality of stream doesn’t appear to affect this. Supremely annoying while driving. -Others: Sometimes the schedule indicates shows are playing that are not. Sometimes the app auto plays when it connects to car Bluetooth, which I want when I leave the app open, but mostly it does not, which requires a manual launch and tune. Sometimes the control appears on the lock screen, sometimes not. -All of this contributes to a bad app experience that deters from the excellent programming.
