I’ve had this app since release and at first I just played around with it, but when I started to really experiment with my other music apps, I was totally amazed by how it would play my music apps versus me playing it directly. Another cool thing is that I can play Chordion through my DAW (Reason) and it sounds great! The Midi setup is rather simple on Mac. I do agree with one review to have notes on the keys would be cool, otherwise I love this app and it’s not never leaving my device.

Even though I just picked up this app last night, I can already tell it's one of the best of its kind. I couldn't put it down! It's a great MIDI controller with a lot of options and tweak-ability. One can arrange the chord hexagons to be as simple or fairly complex as possible. The solo ribbon is also very smart in changing with each chord and also gives you the option to fix it to a particular scale in mind. Even if you choose fairly complex chord combinations it's easily laid out and within reach to play - the app Polychord should take note! ** I'd like to suggest two things to the developer that came to mind: 1)It would be great if Chordion had tempo sync both in/out. I was trying to sync a critter pocket piano MIDI and while it was a lot of fun it was slightly difficult to sync external arps. Also, I can see this doing great things if it could sync to a DAW. 2) Some more factory scales would be nice...and even better- since Chordion has a great user template community, why not have the ability to just upload user scales to the scale list in addition to the wonderful templates people have uploaded? Nonetheless, I'm happy to have found this app and so far it puts most other apps of its breed to shame- with the exception to Orphion ( which is kind of different anyway) and Sound Prism Pro (also different). I hope this developer will continue to develop Chordion further as it has great possibilities!

There are very apps out there that truly inspire compositions. This one does just that. It sounds great on its own, but it's even more effective as a writing tool. Fantastic!

Another fun alternative to an omnichord I'm looking forward to the updates!

It's like if Sound Prism and Thumb Jam did the nasty and made a musical baby. Very good sound, wonderfully playable and enjoyable to play. I'll be using this in recordings for sure. Love it.

This app is fun to play with, but it's not a toy. With the sound design features, ability to change chords and scales, and 2-channel MIDI out, the possibilities are endless!

Tapping into chords setup by others is what made this app fun and inspiring for me. Now it's gone without a contingency plan.

I am a guitar player and this is the perfect tool because I can't play chords on a piano. This is the best midi controller I could ever dream for. I use this in logic and it works perfectly.

I LOVE the app but there's no way to get more presets anymore plus the app doesn't work any more! You need to add a way to backup presets and to load them

Seems like it would work better in portrait mode.
