The magazine I have loved for a long time. A while back I had the same issues as others, but that has been fixed. So delightful to read on the iPad rather than carry a paper magazine around. Nicely done.

I can only hope that the developers of this wonderful publication will fix the issues with this app. It doesn't open it only crashes. When you fix the issue and I can read the Journal I will give you a better review or at least a review based on an app that works.

While I understand the concept of impermanence, I would still like the issue I bought back in 2014 to be available. Only goes back to 2015.

I was having the same problem others noted in these reviews of Buddhadharma with crashing on launching. Today I read the description of this journal here and found that it suggests that such issues can be solved with a deletion of the app and a new download from the iTunes Store. I don't know if that suggestion was there all along or if it was recently added- I never saw it before. I tried this today and it worked. The journal opened, I downloaded the current issue, and I am able to read it with no problems. I hope this works for others as well.

I love reading Buddhadharma on my tablet, because it gives me peace. I am living in a Christian based halfway house. Getting printed Buddhist material here would become suspect. This allows me to gain peace that is portable whether it’s on the bus, at bedtime, or as a meditative component; and can be strong addendum to Abrahamic studies. The writing is lucid, contemplative and inclusive.

Following up with my previous 2 star review to acknowledge that the issue has been fixed and the app now works as promised. 4 stars. I can now see the magazine issues I have purchased and the page turning animations makes you feel like you are reading the actual magazine.

I was ready to give this one star and walk away -- maybe even try to nag the seller into giving me a refund for this and Shambhala Sun. But instead, I spent five or six hours over two days installing and deleting the app...and then waiting. Last night, the app sat on the splash screen for darn near 20 minutes, and then it worked. And now I love it. Once Buddhadharma was installed, then Shambhala Sun installed as well (after a 10 minute wait at the splash screen). Perhaps it's appropriate, given the magazine, but patience was key to getting it to work. That doesn't say much for the platform...would give it five stars if it wouldn't have taken so many hours to get it to work (on a brand new, WiFi-connected iPad mini w/ a verified working 20Mbps connection).

I managed to choose the issue, but constantly crashes and am unable to read one word at this point.

Trying to add magazine to a new iPad and all I get is "fetching data"...... For half an hour??? I've had no other troubles before. Was there an update? Maybe there should be. When I can read it Buddahdharma Journal is wonderful! Please fix asap.
