Fabulous app that helps me sleep when I don't have a fan to use.

Have had this on my phone for years. Use it often to help fall asleep. Love all the creations it can make and how customizable it is for the user.

I listen to a combination of restful, soothing sounds while working, meditating or whenever I want to quiet the mind. Works well with my noise-canceling headphones! Awesome!

Wonderful app that literally saved my sanity from an attack of tinnitus. With this app playing all day at work and as I slept at night, I learned to train myself to virtually ignore the tinnitus within two weeks. So thankful for this app!

Can not believe that there are in app purchases in an app that I already paid for. After the updates from when I first got it, the guided meditation and cool features are now a monthly fee. Stupid. Greedy.

Having to enable dock mode in settings and then selecting an airplay device outside of the app is a little cumbersome. Just add it as an option within the app. Solid app otherwise.

I enjoy this app especially when I travel, I have to sleep with some kind of white noise and this app does the trick. However I can’t get the app to save my mixes, I have to pick them every time I open the app.

By far the largest menu of melodies and other sounds. Helps me tune out the noisy bachelor mockingbirds at night or just enjoy a trip to the beach.

We have a nature sounds generator from Brookstone that cost us well over $100 and it doesn't sound as good or have as much versatility. New review: Half of the sounds (mainly popular ones) that used to be free with the app but are now only available for an obnoxious subscription price? Is this supposed to be relaxing? No thanks.

New version broke pink & brown noise, sounds I had been using to sleep with for years. Such a bummer.

Update 8/02/2018 PROS: There are now many high-quality sounds and the mixing menu works very well. I have used this app for years and I love its presentation and endearing content. CONS: There is far too much change implemented in some updates. Sounds are switched around arbitrarily and there is a lack of consistency in updates to the interface. I believe I paid extra for features that have since been cut out or re-structured. The meditation section, for example, has been radically altered and I cannot access the earlier content I had from it. Some former features here are now hidden behind a “Pro” paywall that requires a monthly subscription. Ouch. I’ve used this app since the iPhone 3G (now iPhone 8!) and I still like it with its faults. I’ll probably keep using it, though I am deeply disappointed with how it has been updated.

I love the relaxing sounds! Always helps me to rest better or fall asleep! Also great for my nieces and nephews when they are fussy. I am a caregiver and sometimes after helping my adult family member go to bed, it is hard to relax even when I am exhausted. The sounds and meditations help me to relax and fall asleep.

I love this app! I love all of the choices they give us.

Lots of sound options to choose from, love you can individualize each sound. I use it many evenings... I also like the timer to play a certain Amt of time. However, the guided imagery things are getting annoying- they just fill it up and make it hard to navigate. That's why I'm giving it 3.5 instead of 5.

This app is great works smoothly and sounds are great quality. Offers plenty of sounds and meditations at a great price but that has created a lot of screens to scroll through. I slove it and it helps me get to sleep at night or relax during the day.

I don't use this app often, but when I'm on a trip or trying to sleep someplace with no white noise, this app comes to the rescue and allows me to fall asleep! Easy to use & doesn't drain the battery too badly either.

I love this app. It's my companion every night. It's soothing. It also drowns out other noise when I listen with earphones during the day. It's perfect. I've been using it for years. The upgrades are great too.

I highly recommend this app. So many different noises to pick and also great ones to meditate to. I love the timer and the fact that it has apps for the watch and Apple TV too!

I used to love this app. I’d use it all the time when I travelled to drown out hotel background noise. Within the past year, this app took a turn for the worse. Only about the first 20 sounds listed will play. If I click on anything past “distant train” nothing happens. On rare occasions, if I close it down or reinstall the app all the sounds will work, but only temporarily. This can be very frustrating.

Great app. I like the ability to combine individual sounds into a new background theme. So many choices.

This app offers many choices of sounds. I love the timer option so my sounds will shut off after an allotted amount of time. That way they don’t play all night. I always fall asleep before the sounds shut off! I would recommend this app to anyone who has trouble falling asleep.

I’m a teacher and I use this app in the classroom to calm my students down after recess and after lunch. The children like to chose what sounds we use, so I use that as a reward for behavior.

I downloaded a trial of the app to start and quickly upgraded to have access to all the sounds. I use some when studying in noisy areas at school and others at home to sleep. Best find!!

Have been using this for years. I crafted my own mix for sleep. Rain, chimes, rain, stream flowing, thunder. Set it for 4 hours... Off to Dream Land...

This is a great app! I love it! The ability to pick your sounds really makes this app as unique as the person using it! The save feature is wonderful- when you've found the perfect mix you don't have to worry about remembering it, you can just name it and save it. I use this app to relax, meditate, sleep, study, and when I need to take a few mins for myself! This app is a great app to help collect yourself and move forward with your day- or just to zonk out!

I've tried a few different sound machine apps, and this one has been the best. It helps me fall asleep when I need a little extra help.

Relaxing but downloading all the sounds after purchasing the full version is a pain and doesn't alway’s work. More meditations would be cool. Longer ones too.

I have been a loyal user for years, having purchased many of their apps in a bundle and individually years ago. I stopped using for a couple of months only to come back with the meditations taken away except for two. You could've at least kept the existing meditations for those who already paid for your app. Now you want us to use an app that is already paid for AND subscribe? You should've created NEW meditations for your subscription service, not revoke the items from your paid customers. I'm so disappointed in you, and I see I'm not the only one. I definitely won't be subscribing due to how you treat customers that supported you by buying your apps.

I use these sounds to mask my tinnitus. There is a wide selection of sounds and combinations that make it very useful and helpful in that regard.

I really enjoy this app. It has many choices and many many possible combinations. I use it when I just want to chill out, but I find it especially helpful when I want to go to sleep but just can't seem to get my brain to turn off. It's also useful when I travel and want to block out noises I'm not normally exposed to. The sounds are just the right length so you don't feel like you're just listening to a few notes over and over.

Like many others have indicated, this has been a good app for relaxation and sleep. It was good enough that I purchased the full version. Then it got cluttered and begging for more money when I had already paid for it. I will continue to use it, but I'm done paying for it. Good in its basic format.

I've love this app for over 2 years now. It's my go to when insomnia hits or I'm in a new city for work and need to meditate. It's a 4 because I'm not a fan of the male voice on the guided meditations

This is an awesome app to use at bedtime to cancel out those annoying nightly sounds like snoring bedmates, that silence-challenged apartment neighbor, and whatever else decides to make its appearance after the witching hour. I love to close my eyes and pretend I’m sleeping in a tent in the rain, in a train car, or sleeping on a houseboat. You can add a musical touch or keep it natural. There are sounds to make everyone happy whether you are a city kid at heart or country bumpkin. This app was well worth downloading.

I have been using this app for several years now. I use it around the house for general ambience like the seashore, waterfalls, rain and dozens of other great natural and man made sounds. You can make custom sound mixes for every occasion, I have a few favorites I play just for sleep and mixes that mask the often noisy neighborhood I live in. I use this app every single day, we often let it stream on the iPod all day to help keep the cats calm and chill and a custom mix that plays from the time I lay down till the time I get up. There is a comforting sound mix for everyone in this app.

Been a big fan since the early days on the Mac. Very relaxing with lots of options to get everything perfect for your particular tastes. Also love the meditation content. Update: Still loving the app but am concerned about the extremely slow pace of updates and the fact that the community melodies seems to be a dead feature not long after they introduced it. Really hoping it doesn’t go the way of their Mac app which has been abandoned for quite some time now. In its current state, still works fine with iOS 11.2 always keep my fingers crossed that the next iOS update doesn’t k*** it. Obviously not updated to support the iPhone X. Use it nightly on my iPad and it is definitely a batter hog but that’s only a problem on nights I forget to plug it in. Glad to see the latest release. It has renewed my faith that the product will live on.

Summer rain with frogs and peepers! Takes me back to my childhood with my grandparents. The only reason for four star is the inability to change the rate of the sounds in reputation. Stuff in nature just isn’t that repetitive.

Update: I’ve now had this app for more than SIX YEARS! Absolutely has been worth paying for! Original review: I love that this app allows you to adjust the sound volume for each element you add. For example, when away from home, I enjoy creating a rainstorm type effect (windchimes, water, thunder) fairly quiet so it sounds like it is outdoors and then I add a slightly louder fan noise and then a loud cat purr. The thunderstorm helps block out ambient noises I'm unfamiliar with and the fan and cat mimic some of the sounds I typically hear when at home. I do wish there were different cat purrs to choose from. This has pretty much everything I wanted in an ambient noise sleep app, and I feel purchasing it was money well spent.

Great app! The sounds are amazing.

I absolutely LOVE this app (and the Oriental one)! It's one of my most favorite apps, and I use it ALL THE TIME!!!! I've created some of the most beautiful mixes/sounds! The possibilities are endlessly amazing! Sometimes I'll meditate and listen to them, directly in my ears, through noise cancelling headphones/earplugs or I'll play them through my Bose system, for the entire room or space. It's just so awesome and peaceful, and it creates such a BEAUTIFUL ambiance! Relax Melodies and Relax Melodies Oriental (both, premium) are truly must-have apps! Great job, IpnosSoft! Thank you! Love this app. I use it when traveling and can’t get my hands on a fan or if I need something to focus on when it’s noisy around me.

It truly helps me relax

I don’t like how sometimes it starts and other times it doesn’t so i have to click the river. Can’t tell what volume is at or if it will turn on. If it’s in the loudest volume setting it wakes the baby. The softest works fine. Before you did a revamp to the app this was never a problem. Super annoying.

So many choices and all so relaxing. Helps me sleep or when my anxiety spikes or I feel overwhelmed it'll distract me and calm me down. ❤

I like it plays in the background. I use binaural beats to help me relax and focus all the time. I wish more updates for sounds got rolled out more frequently. Also, paying a subscription monthly isn’t great. I’d prefer to pay a flat rate.

I can only try to write how great of a decision downloading this app was. I've always had trouble sleeping ever since I began earlier shifts at work. From soothing to relaxing to meditations and now being able to use your own music - I'm in awe. Well worth the money!

This is a great app to use because it incorporates all kinds of sounds depending on your mood and setting. The guided meditations are helpful and I love the timers that can shut the app off after x amount of time, great to use if you fall asleep

This is the best app around. There are sounds to please and relax anybody. I have yet to find another app on the ipod or droid phone that can even come close. Great sounds and will work as an alarm to go on or set the timer to go off or you can do both. I highly recommend this app.

There are great sounds and the binaural and iso options are great. I wish there was an option to cycle the binaural so that it slowly drops into deep sleep. Great app.

Update 5/14: Still use the app quite a bit. I like the meditations and still enjoy the ability to create my own mix. I did buy the full version and have found it to be one of the more worthwhile app purchases. I love this app! I'm from a small town but currently living in a large city near the downtown area. Often, I find it difficult to sleep because of all the noise going on. I love being able to adjust the sound so it sounds more like back home. Very nice for relaxation. And I like the new guided meditation that was with the latest release.

I have loved this app since it started. Used on both apple and android. But with this update for iOS 11 terrible job. It was awesome the way it was. Guess it’s time to delete and move on. Good run.

I have been using this app for years and absolutely loves it! However, the lastest updated deleted all of my saved mixes, alarm, and timer settings. I remade and re-saved my mixes, but when I went to listen to it again tonight all of them were gone. I am very disappointed with this update and will likely be looking for a different sound app.

This is one of my most used apps. I can't live without it. I’ve downloaded a lot of meditation apps and this is really the only one I consistently use.

I like the relaxing sounds

This app is amazing! I occasionally use various sounds for white noise when I sleep, but primarily I use it as a concentration aid when studying for my classes in graduate school (I'm working toward a PhD). The binaural beats are fantastic - it's incredible to see how much easier it is to focus and how much more I can remember when I study with this app than when I study without it. However, I took one star off because every time the app updates it deletes every combination of sounds that I’ve created. It’s really frustrating to have to recreate them. Update: I deleted the app and re-downloaded it, and it’s no longer deleting my mixes!

Comes with a good amount of free meditations free sounds and free music. The timer feature is perfect for going to sleep and waking up. A really high-quality divine app. Totally worth it. Can listen to your own music too. Only thing is I did download and purchase some meditations but then the app suddenly reinstalled it self and I no longer have those. But other than that it’s most glorious thing I’ve ever bought

The app is the best of its kind.

I use this app when there is too much noise at night such as when I'm in flight path rotation to help me sleep. Add some rain and The plains seem like thunder. Or during a real thunderstorm I use pink noise to help my dog. I love thunder she doesn't so I can't use the thunder sound on the app.

Review - Part I: I got this app a couple of years ago for when I visit my family in the quietness of the country, and have loved every upgrade! The sounds help make my doggies calm during storms and block each and every unfamiliar creak and crackle (which would normally send them into a protective fit of barking). It's perfect! ^ almost Review - Part II: Just downgraded the app to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because lately I've had to recreate ALL of my mixes every time I re-opened the app.😠 I don't log out, and have a "lifetime subscription," so there's no reason that this should be happening. It never has before - in YEARS - but now with a paid lifetime subscription, none of my own sound mixes save.

This app is the best ever! I use it when I'm away from home and it works like a charm. I love the fact that you can customize your relaxation sound too.

Wide variety of sleep sounds, ability to adjust and save audio mixes, ability to make custom sound alarms (if ur willing to keep the app open overnight) There are two major flaws holding it back currently, terrible support for making music alarms, and lately it has been repeatedly asking me to upgrade to pro even though I already paid the “lifetime” fee. I can still use pro features but first i have to go through the annoyance of navigating to the “restore” part of the app. If not for that this would be 4 stars, if they had better music alarm support, 5 stars.

I love that I can open other apps while the music is playing and create my own mixes. Im currently playing a mix that reminds me of summer night bonfires :)

I have just found the meditations section of the app. While I’d like to use them, they’re a little short at 10-12 minutes each. It would be good if I could add them to a playlist or set the app to play them all in a row so they’ll keep going while I’m falling asleep. That said, I like that you can layer the sounds together with the meditations or beats. The app is soothing to look at, easy to use, and has a wider array of sounds than most I’ve tried. I love it.

I've had it a couple years now & love my "peepers" at night! Can hardly sleep without them. Very glad to have it & live the new sounds they add.

i originally had the free version but it didn't allow you to listen to the sounds if you closed the app or shut the screen, so i just went ahead and bought the upgrade. I'm so happy i did because i use some of the sounds to meditate but mostly to help me fall asleep, and i've noticed that when i use it I fall asleep faster and go into a deeper sleep. i also like this app because it has sooooo many choices for sounds, and you have so many options to customize it like how loud one noise is or having custom sounds preset. get it!!!

Don't buy many programs but this was worth it. Meditation is of no value but the sounds are great. I like the update where you can clear the sounds with one button.

well, yes i can, but i do sleeping much better with this app. lots of sounds, some of them kind of silly, but good timer function and good ability to mix several sounds at different relative volumes.

Great app for being mindful. I like being able to mix the sounds and save my favorites, and the full version is worth it for the additional 50 sounds. The only thing I wish wasn’t so expensive was the guided meditations.

We use this every night to sleep to when not out camping and it helps us leave behind the stresses of work each day brings.

I downloaded the free version to try it out and loved it so much I decided to buy it. There are plenty of sounds to choose from and I love how you can make and save your own mix. I use this app mainly to rock my son to sleep, but it helps me relax too. Some nights I have a hard time falling asleep so I put my own sounds on and I love the fact that it has a timer so it doesn't play all night. I had my mom download it as well when she told me her sound machine died and she loves it too. Update: I’ve had this app for a few years now and I still use it nightly. I love it!

Great program

The best app/product for a great sleep. Even store-bought noise machines can't compete. From all the ones I've tried, this one was worth the money, and considering I don't have much extra cash to spend, that's saying something. Wish the old layout was still usable. The swinging tabs are kind of aggravating, but it's pretty. Perhaps create more layouts to choose from? Thanks for the great app! It's helped this insomniac sleep again.

This app has really become one of the most used apps I have. I use it the most before bedtime to help relax;however, I also find it useful for when I was in college studying for tests. I recommend buying the full app with binaural beats! Definitely worth it
