The max volume should be raised, I can barely hear it when I’m just using my phone’s speakers.

Looks very nice. That said, I’ll keep using an “ugly but more functional” white noise app until at least a couple of things are changed. Most importantly, allow for other audio to play (eg. Audible) while the white noise is on. I’d also like to see landscape on the iPad. Doesn’t seem like a big deal but when all your other apps are landscape and then you have to flip for this...it’s frustrating.

Love the sounds and the simple interface. However the app hasn't been updated since 2015 and doesn't feature as many sounds I hoped for. Plus there is no landscape mode for the iPad, which is a big let down.

This is my favorite white noise app, but having just got Sonos speakers, I would love if I could play Noisli over them.

I love this app and I use it for hours everyday while studying. I wouldn’t change anything about it except for the fact that it always locks in the portrait orientation, even when my iPad is in the Keyboard folio. It’s annoying because then all my apps are stuck into that orientation as well, so I need to flip them around.

The sound quality is GREAT! When hooked up to a good speaker, the sounds REALLY come alive! Definitely worth buying!

I only use the rain sound, but there’s this strange, ambient noise in the background. It’s faint, but I notice it every time. It sounds like a synth or something, and it goes from one note to another, a whole step apart. I find it pretty distracting, but it’s not a big deal. I still really like the app, but if you like rain noise like me, I’d just use a YouTube video because this faint noise is strange.

This is by far the best sound app I’ve ever tried. Based on the fact that I can now sit and read without a tv or some other sound on to drown out my ears ringing, this is well worth the couple bucks it costs

Wish there was landscape on iPad and it was updated for iPhone X dimensions.

A very helpful app for drowning out the noise from an open office format. There seem to be a few audio tracks that have other noises in them. I believe the rain or thunder tracks have violin (or something) notes in the background. Just an example, but fixing this would be helpful. This issue snaps me out of focus every time, which seems to be about every 15 minutes or so.

It’s very simple but for $1.99, well worth it! I have tinnitus and when I don’t consciously try to ignore it, it can really be irritating. Using this app while reading, internet searching, before I go to sleep, whatever, really helps.

This is one of my favorite apps and the quality of the sounds as well as the mixer/combo functions are amazing. I would love to see more sounds added over time to make more combos and to keep a good variety going as my mood for sounds changes quite a bit. As a number of friends also use this app it would be great to have a function that allows the sharing an syncing of combos to other accounts. Keep up the great work!

Please release an update accommodating to users with larger phones, i have an iphone x and i love the look and design of this app but it doesn’t fit my screen, not a problem as i don’t stay on the app, but cmon

I've tried many apps to help me fall asleep and this is by far the best. The sounds are not repetitive and making combonations is fantastic. My only reason for not giving this five stars is that as the background changes colors (which is really well done) the font and icons are *really* hard to see. That change would make this app perfect.

Please add an airplane cabin noise! That would be awesome!

Broken, don’t bother downloading. This hasn’t been update to the latest iOS (v12), and now has a consistent lag when using. About every 30s or so audio drops out, making it unusable.

Very nice looking app, that gets the job done. Please update this app to fit the screens of the X style notched phones. It’s not great paying for an app that is not kept up to date.

This app is great, but it would be perfect if you could play music at the same time as listening to the white noise.

I’m quite pleased with this well designed app and it’s meditative nature sounds except for the thunder sound which is not realistic sounding and the fact that the app stops playing if you try to add some background music from iTunes, Pandora or other music player apps. Simultaneously playing two separate sound apps together technically IS possible on an iOS device as other ambiance apps can do it or they have an “add background music” feature (the Coffitivity coffee shop app can do both) — so it somewhat disappointed me to discover that Noisli could do neither. Add that feature guys and improve the thunder sounds and I’ll give you 5 stars!

I’m a super light sleeper and white noise is what I need to sleep. The rain track is perfect but only for a few minutes. Then a random violin track starts playing in the background??! Get RID OF THE VIOLIN. It’s maddening! Make it just rain and this app would be great! Ugh.

I’ve used this app nightly for over a year. My husband and I love it! I wish there were some new sounds added. I would love a heartbeat/baby uterine heartbeat sound. Those are such comfy and loving sounds to me. But even still I’ll continue to use this app.

Just bought this app specifically because the description claims it supports background audio. It does not. Booooo.

My ideal app would provide me a passive soundscape I can easily work to. If I could mix this app’s design with Coffitivity’s function, that would be what I’m looking for. The app is beautiful and wonderfully designed. However, there is little development on this app with no updates or new version in over a year. But for 1.99, most people will be satisfied with the app as is.

I got Noisli as the Chrome extension. It was great. 5/5 stars. So I paid for it. Then I got it for Android and paid for it again. It was fine but didn’t take advantage of the OS (there’s no “playing” notification so you can’t easily turn it up or down or find it like every other sound making app). Fine, 3/5 stars. Then I paid for it on ios. It has an ipad app but it doesn’t align horizontally. The max 6 combos is immediately apparent (why limit it?). It’s small stuff but it amounts to a lousy experience when I’m writing. Taken that I’ve paid 3 times for this app, 2 stars seems fair.

I didn’t think this was even possible, but Noisli just refuses to work with my Air Pods. I have an iPhone 6s+ and have been using Noisli for years and loving it but for some reason I get no audio output when using my Air Pods. I’d love to rate higher, and other headphones work well, but for some reason Noisli just doesn’t want to output to my Air Pods.

I’m the primary babysitter for my month old nephew and he LOVES the noises on this app! And I love them too! We go to sleep to this app every time TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY!

It’s ok, does what it does pretty well, but an app that has put work into an aesthetically pleasing experience shouldn’t make me flip my iPad whenever I want to use it. It’s actually getting pretty frustrating.

I see a lot of people complaining about the simplicity of this app but I think that’s part of the reason why it’s so great! Transitioning from a fan in the summer to no noise is always hard for me so I found this app and now I fall asleep to a crackling fire and wind blowing. I’ve even recommended it to all my friends. Love it!

Can you please take the police siren out of the thunderstorm?! Kinda distracting (and not very nature-y)!

This app is pretty much perfect--the only complaint I have is that you can't listen to other things at the same time. Not entirely a problem, but it would be nice to listen to music with the sound of a fire or the sound of a cafe in the background. Absolutely looking forward to updates!

I'm a big fan of noises to help me fall asleep, relax and do artwork too and this is by far the best app for relaxing sounds. Worth every penny.

Noisli provides an array of 16 decent-quality audio samples of nature, generated noise, and a couple of other choices to suit specific tastes (including a travelling train, a traditional electric fan, a coffee shop, and a fireplace). The good: multiple sounds can be activated at once and individually balanced. (A little wind with your gentle stream?) Once that's done, you can switch apps and let that carry on. If you don't, the clean interface phases gently between hues. Customizations can be saved and recalled. A couple of complaints: no landscape mode – an inconvenience for those who use an iPhone or iPad stand. More than once, I've had a second volume slider appear (at a different displayed level) directly on top of the already visible one. In short, the interface isn't polished to a shine.

This app seems really cool but I just deleted 5 huge apps and 200 pictures and it's still not downloading, or if it is it's really slow. If there's a way to make it easier to download please do it :)

I sleep with white noise. I love that it has so many diff noises and you can layer them!! Excellent app. Love it.

Cute and simple design, quality noises. However, I wish I could play noisli sounds at the same time as iTunes or Spotify music

Gorgeous interface. Especially in comparison to the other ambient noise apps on offer. Simple. Easy to use. Though, I will admit I was a bit confused when trying to set the timer. It was not immediately obvious to me that you had to swipe up/down to increase/decrease time since there was no visual cue that it worked that way. I, too, would love to see integration with iOS more so I can control it from my lock screen, like Rain, Rain does. More noise options would be great. Again, Rain, Rain offers quite a number of ambient noises to choose from. But, it's the simple, colorful, clean design of this app that makes this my favorite. Keep up the good work.

I've tried quite a few of these types of apps and this is my favorite. Nice, clean design. There's not too many bells and whistles to get in the way of an enjoyable experience. And the storage space it takes up is much less than the other apps I've tried. I wouldn't mind a few more sounds, but I like the smaller footprint. So this one is a winner for me.

Great for taking naps. I have no complaints about this app, but more sounds would be great. Also, please add train whistles to the train tracks sound or add a train whistle we could play over it.

This app is easy to use, has a pleasing library of sounds, and pleasant color cycling on a non-distracting interface. Helps me quickly quiet my mind for focused work or meditation. Highly recommend using the timer for focused work sessions.

I've used websites and apps similar to this and must say that the easy interface is my favorite part. Simply tap what you want, adjust the volumes a bit, and it's all ready for whatever you need it for!

For the app itself, it's good. Landscape mode would be nice but not a deal breaker. The only thing I wish it had was ability to play music in the background with the app's sounds. While most likely an iOS thing and not Noisli, I kind of feel I wasted $2.

I downloaded this app before for some ambient noise of myself to relax. Last week, my little nephew who is only three months came over and was getting fussy. I turned on the computer and used the online app. My sis-in-law was amazed because it knocked out my nephew within minutes. She downloaded it herself and says it works like a charm when my nephew needs to take a nap and it’s better than the white noise machine they bought to calm him. I also say it’s a better buy because you can take it with you when you go to a place where you can’t take a white noise machine. So, thanks for making such a great app that gives my nephew sweet dreams.

This works great for relaxation and sleep. I've tried other apps and this one works consistently. Very easy to use with few problems.

I use this app to go to sleep. It works in my dogs too. Helps distract from any outside noises.

Didn't use it much for myself. But since having a baby, I've used it daily. Hasn't ever crashed on me like others are reporting.

I have worked many years that I have to sleep during the day. I have used many ambient sound machines to help sleep. This app is terrific. After a while on other apps I would memorize the sounds and it became distracting thinking of the sound patterns before they play. On this app you are able to make certain sounds louder or softer. Sometimes I like to hear just rain or a full rain shower with wind and breeze. I definitely will recommend to others.

Honestly, one of the best apps. It's simple, it's cool, it has great sounds that you can control...most importantly it either completely relaxes me or puts me to sleep. Like right now, I just fell asleep listening to what I call "Fiery Night" and it was peaceful. Haven't had any problems or crashes. Everything works great and I highly recommend!

I had to delete the app to shut it off. A second volume slider appeared on top of the first, but none would turn it off. Needs a fix.

I really enjoy this app! My one request is to add generative ambient tone/pads that can be mixed with the field recordings. As others have mentioned the app is a honker in terms of storage usage. Perhaps you could offer a preview in the app and then users could download the full sound if they like it. I know this may not be financially viable for you since you will need a server so maybe some in app purchases to get sound bundles would help with the server costs?

One of my favorite apps for sleeping. Love the fact you can make some great sounds with the combos.

I like the simplicity of user interface of the app. I use this app on a daily basis. I use the white noise sound(s) to put my 6 month old baby to sleep. It works great, except for one issue that I have been having. I think it might be a looping issue or something. But basically when I use the app for a long period of time (sometimes for an hour) to put my baby to sleep. The white noise would skip or the looping of the sound isn't in sync or something. It basically makes a skipping noise and continues playing. This is a problem for me because as my baby falls asleep that skipping noise sometimes wakes him up.

This is so calming, but it would be awesome if the app would allow you to play music too. Listening to a nice slow song with the rain in the background without having to have the pain of finding the perfect one would be brilliant!!

I really enjoy this app with the different volume settings for each kind of sound. I do wish it had the addition like the online version for premade productive, relax, or random sound combinations. I like just clicking them and the combinations being given and if I want a new one I just click it again.

I really like your app. I think the white noise volume doesn't adjust low enough I believe that it's a bit too loud even at low volume. That is why I prefer the fan noise. A great noise that should be added should be a ticking clock to build up pressure to stay focused and get whatever it is done.

Started using this in my home office to give me a little bit of ambient noise. I have found it much easier to concentrate and quite enjoy the ability to change up the noise, add in different sounds etc. Super easy app to use. One improvement would be the ability to pause the sounds through the native iOS sound controls. For example you cannot pause the sounds by sliding up from the bottom of your home screen. IOS does not recognize that the app is actually playing sounds. So you cannot pause from here.

I take at least one timed app every day and this app is the best white noise app that I have found. There's no nonsense of buying this or that; you can blend sounds together as you wish and you can set a timer to fade out or stop at the end of your nap. I've been using it for almost a year now and I cannot find anything to complain about.

this is a nice simple app. so why can’t it display in landscape mode on the ipad? it does change its layout for the bigger screen but rotates to portrait mode. hopefully the developer will fix this.

This drowns out noise without being distracting. I think I got this for free through Starbucks about four years ago, and I’ve installed it on all my phones since. I love you, Noisli.

I cannot use the app while using Spotify, is there any setting for that? Or it doesn’t work at all?

Love the app, but the timer needs to be customizable! Sometimes it says 25 min, sometimes it says 1. I’d like to set it myself!

I was introduced to Noisli as a (free) Chrome extension and love it primarily for the ability to set the timer to any amount of time I want. I was excited to find this iOS counterpart and didn't hesitate to pay $1.99 because my iPhone is where I would use the timer most, whereas my laptop is where I would use the white noise most. I expected this pay version to have at least the same features I got from the free app. BUYER BEWARE! It turns out this iOS app does not have a customizable timer and now I have paid for an app that doesn't do as much as its free version.

The app simply works perfectly.

This is such a great white noise app! All it needs is to be compatible with external audio (i.e. Listen to music with a noisili combo in the background)

I love this app for the noise combinations and sounds - i use it particularly for filtering out sound when trying to concentrate and coworkers talk around me. Pretty easy to use. Only reason why 4 stars is maybe 1 time out of 20 you can't really flip among the screens, and the app size is especially big for what it is, but on the other end the sounds feel pretty high quality.

You folks are amazing, so I must be missing something. Please add the Random button to the mobile app. I use it constantly on desktop and I wish I could get it with the paid app.

Since I bought the app I expect all the features to be in there from the Web service. There are no random productivity and relaxation mixes for which I primarily bought it. Nevertheless a good app please make the update. Also the interface I don't find it standard. Thank you for your attention.

It’s a great app and you should definitely get it, but it’s not optimized for an 8+ yet, the resolution is way off

I love this app, and I like how you can combine sounds. I play the rain+thunder sounds to go to sleep or when I read. The interface is simple and easy to use.

Before I found Noisli, I was trying to stream 8-hour laggy youtube videos of fan/white noise. This app solves all my problems. It really is hard to sleep when the silence is so... Loud. So this really helps. Thanks Noisli team.

I was looking for white noise to play along with podcasts to block out noisy neighbors. When you open this app it turns off other audio

Love noisli and the app does work. Unfortunately it doesn't register with iOS as media though so no way to pause outside app and doesn't respond appropriately to other iOS events. Being able to pause would be very nice and is something I expect from a paid app.

Use it to sleep every night via a Bluetooth speaker system - perhaps add more sounds & sound variations 😉 P.S. THANK YOU for finally adding the ability for, it to play with other audio apps to mix things up more ! Now, I'll use it every single night 👍

This is the original. Campfire and Fan are best in class and I owe many restful nights to this app.

It is a great concept but not a whole lot of bang for your buck. The app simply combines sounds to make a soothing experience to help you work or sleep. It would be nice if there was an alarm function in addition to the off timer

This app seriously has changed my life. That might sound dramatic for a simple noise-maker app, but it's true. I'm a CIT student and I have to study pretty much every free second of every day, and I live in a loud environment that doesn't always lend itself well to that. This app is amazing for creating a soothing environment when you're trying to drown out the noise. I used to listen to instrumental music when I studied because lyrics can be distracting, but if you truly want to zone out to what you're doing Noisli is so much better for that. I find myself totally in my own world to this app and coming back to myself after a nice long study session and realizing Noisli is still going, pretty much forgetting about it because it was working so well, is really what it's designed for. As odd as it sounds, you won't even realize it's doing it's job. Just recently, too, I started sleeping with the fan/wind combo going instead of keeping my ceiling fan on all night (because it's getting cold) and it works very well for that too. Totally keeps the dogs from waking me up across the house. I can't recommend this app enough, you HAVE to try it to understand.

I've used Noisil in a cubicle area, for meditation, and to block out/neutralize other sound. For noise blocking the brown noise is very effective (volume adjusted to blend) when layered in with other sounds. The rain, water droplet and thunderstorm are great when combined too. Thanks so much for this app! It's a tool I'm glad I can count on.

I love this app because you can choose the mix of noises that fit your needs. And you can save your combinations!

Please update it to retina display

After seeing this app featured in an article, I decided to try it. I’ve used it consistently for 2 weeks now, and I have seen a noticeable difference in how easy it is to fall asleep to the soothing sounds. I feel like the app is basic, and it could have some more sounds and features. It has room to grow, but it is still very usable.

Love this service, great sounds, good to mix, easy to use. Wish they had a Mac version.

My app is now 100% non functioning and my custom setups are gone. I can't get in. My app is dead.

I was hoping it had the ability to play along with other audio apps but sadly, the music/external audio turns off when you open this app.

It’s an awesome app but they could improve by adding frog sounds at night. If they did it would be a solid 5 stars!

There is a noticeable gap in the brown noise loop. Please fix in the update.

As a programmer I'm constantly in need of a way to reduce distractions around me. This app does that perfectly. Worth every penny.

I use it to fall asleep and it works wonders.

I wanted to buy an app to help me sleep when I'm traveling because I'm a super light sleeper and I sleep with a box fan at home to help me sleep better. Got this app because it had the fan option, however the fan is beyond quiet and would never be able to block out noises for me to sleep well... Glad the thunderstorm is loud, though! Still very disappointed about the fan...

I'm a software developer and need to concentrate. My coworkers are very loud and noisy. This app has been a life saver for me. I love how you can mix different ambient sounds with white noise and control how loud each one plays. Having this has allowed me to focus on my code and not feel like screaming at people. Definitely a must get if you're trying to drown out noise and concentrate.

***2017 and no updated sounds or quality: uhhh? This app has become a 255+ MB space waster on my phone. Actual good updates ever to be in the works? It's boring!!!*** It's good but needs work. 1. I wish it didn't take up so much space. 2. Also, it needs some more choices on sounds, like ZzzZzz offers. Wind chimes and monk chant would be great. That one is a Noisli ripoff, but with more options. I like this app, but it's really limited and needs more options. Until then...deleted.

The loops are quite short. So you hear the loud female cackle in the coffee shop a lot. Stays with you. It's been two years, but they still haven't bothered flipping the switch that would optimize it for iPhone 6 Plus or 6s Plus.

I don't like all of the sounds, but the ones I do like I really like.

Hey guys how about adding Airplay so sounds can be used with other devices?

Would have given a five star but I really expected a simple feature as this one to be available. An update with this feature included would be appreciated. For ref. check the app called Binaural on the App Store, I can play music and use the binaural beats app at the same time.

Only needs an update for the X. I had trouble figuring out how to set a custom timer until I realized it is programmed like a scroll wheel. Slide up or down on the time and set to your liking.

This is the most beautiful app, and had everything I need when I was looking for an app with natural sounds.
