Great Tool for a balanced diet

I've used apps that count calories but this app gives me a full dietary picture of what I eat everyday. It has been a real education in eating clean and it has helped me totally revamp how I approach my diet. As a by-product I've lost 13lbs in the last month and feel better than ever. I now have a great understanding of portion control. I highly recommend this app if you are like me, needing a more disciplined approach to eating right. Try it, it works! One improvement would be to show macros by meal and snack so you can enter before eating and adjust accordingly. You see your total macros which is good but need it by meal as well.

Great

It's good while it works ... I used it last year, diligently making up a list of my foods. It took me some time to collect everything. After that the app became somewhat handy and didn't involve me spending a long time scanning barcodes. So I was able to lose some weight with it. So fast forward to this year. I needed to lose some weight again. So I loaded the same app on the same phone (after it hasn't been used for awhile) and, guess what ... all my collected food data is gone! I contacted their tech support but they were utterly useless. Just gave me basic steps that are present in their help... eventually the guy just told me to create a new account ;) yeah, good job buddy. So I'll be looking for some other app now. (Too bad that I had to pay for this one. So anyone beware of this.) Also in despite of me having paid for it, the app was still showing the button in settings to pay for premium. So go figure.

Muy bueno.

Great app❤️❤️

It’s a great app, but a lot of the expected functions are locked behind a pay wall.

I have the Pro Version (the paid one time version), but a lot of modern basic functionality (like linking your fitness tracker) is locked behind the premium (monthly) paywall. $8.99 or $59.99 for a year is crazy expensive for an app like this. Please reconsider pricing. I’d be willing to pay a couple bucks a month or a one time $20-30 fee for premium, but not a similar amount to what I pay for Netflix or Spotify for this type of app.

Not sure if this is a bait and switch tactic?

I signed up for this app instead of Loseit! Even though Loseit has a photo snap feature that’s very useful. I opted for MyNetDiary because it advertised as being able to track nutrients with the purchase of the Pro Version without the need to buy the subscriptions. So of course after downloading the pro app and setting it up, the feature I wanted to use is locked with an orange padlock image and the app asks me to subscribe to the premium subscription. I have contacted customer support so we will see how the company responds. I’m hoping this is not a bait and switch.

Best investment I have made - ever.

Savings Motivator's Review of Calorie Counter Pro Mynetdiary

I have been trying to lose weight for nearly two decades. I cook my own food and have always thought that I eat healthily. I have tried most diets and plans at some time or another. Even so, I gained weight and four or five years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I cut out carbs and tried even harder to cut my weight. At the start of this year I got a fright when the scale nudged close to 300lbs. I cannot recall why, but I downloaded the MyNetDiary App even though I was convinced that my diet was the least of my problems. I was very wrong. Right off, I want to say that this app is probably not for everyone. It works extremely well for me since I cook at home and know what is going into the meals that I make. My first shock came in realizing that I had probably gained most of my weight from salads and meat. In the salads it was due to my home made vinaigrette that had around 500 calories from olive oil and mayonnaise. With the meat it was the portion size. Meat is incredible calorie dense. Apparently Adkins was hurting me! I changed what I eat with the largest part of my meals now made up of vegetables and fruit. Ironically, I now eat more than I used to but probably cut my caloric intake in half. Because of the quantities that I eat, I can honestly say that I am never hungry. I still have cravings, but even these are easier to overcome if you are not starving. I have been near religious about logging everything that I eat and have been eating roughly 2000 calories per day. Since downloading the MyNetDiary App I have lost 40 lbs. I know that I have a long way to go to get to a healthy weight, but for the first time in 25 years I actually feel hopeful that I will get there. It is hard to convey the excitement that this has generated. There are some things that could be streamlined in the app, but it works fantastically well overall. Let me know if you ever need a spokesperson!

Great updates, frustrating UI

I’ve returned to this app after many years of not tracking calories. This updates to the look and functionality of the app are great, but the design of one aspect of the user interface are really frustrating... the arrows that take you back to the daily calorie overview (dashboard) and to the previous day are vertically stacked and right next to each other. Once you switch to a previous day, the app stays on that day, and I often find that I have entered today’s items on a previous day. If you are entering items for a preset meal block (breakfast, lunch, dinner) every entry for that block receives the same time stamp - even if entered days later. So, it is very difficult to diagnose and correct a mistake. There does not seem to be a way to lock entries for previous days, or even a simple warning that you are doing so. I would love to give this app 5 stars, but with such a frustrating and easily fixed problem unfortunately it looses a star from me.

Very useful but no Keto

The only thing I can think of to make this app better is if allowed for. Keto diet plan.
